(A/N) So...I made a tiny mistake with the ending of the last CH. It was the wrong ending. Don't ask, it'll be explained when you see where it actually belonged. This one has the ending that it was supposed to have. The last time I updated I was away from my computer and didn't realize it until recently. Sorry.
Peter was surprised when he woke up the next day and was shocked when he saw he was on top of the school.
Looking down, as if needing confirmation the battle took place, he saw his entire suit was torn, and his mask was missing. Seeing he needed to get out of here before someone spotted him, he noticed there was a Tiger mask for their school mascot in the trash.
Peter sighed at the sight, no idea how this happened, but he needed his suit fixed.
MJ was just waking up and came out of the bathroom when she looked and saw Spider-Man standing outside her window wearing the tiger mask.
Smirking, she couldn't resist as she went over and opened the window. "Hey there, Tiger."
"Ha-ha." Peter said sarcastically as he removed the head and tossed it to the giant trash on the ground. "Very funny. Get your jokes out now."
"I was about to have breakfast, so it's nice to see you brought Tony the Tiger with you." MJ continued with the jokes and Peter rolled his eyes. "But I don't see the cereal."
"You done?" Peter asked.
"Not a chance, Tiger." MJ stated with a smirky smile and Peter could easily tell that there was no letting this go. "Nice going with the Vulture last night."
"Thanks. I need to get to the prison, and I need a new suit so the whole town doesn't see my face." Peter said as he gestured to his torn suit.
"Good point." MJ said as she walked to her closet and pulled out a chest at the bottom as that was where she kept the backup suits. Pulling one that looked similar to the one that was torn up, the only difference being the color of the spider being golden, she handed it over to him. "Good luck with your mom, Tiger."
Peter was now seeing she wasn't going to be quitting with the puns. "Is that the last of it?
"Face it, Tiger, you're gonna be stuck with this for a while." MJ promised as she left him alone in her room. "Leave the suit, and I'll fix it up. And don't go through my drawers."
"MJ!" Peter cried and MJ just closed the door, but he could hear her laughing on the other side.
Peter then got changed into his new suit, folded up the destroyed suit on her bed and quickly made his way put her window and closed it before swinging off.
Once Peter made it to the prison, he immediately changed out into his normal clothes, and made his way inside. Once being guided through the prison; he came to a room where their attorney Jean Loring and his mother were waiting.
"Mom." Peter sighed as he walked over and for the first time in months hugged his mother.
"Oh, my sweet boy." Moria sighed as she saw the news of the fight and was worried about her son. "Nice work out there." She whispered to Peter as she ruffled his hair.
"I've missed this." Peter admitted.
"I've missed it, too." Moria agreed as they waited and eventually Thea made her way, as well as Walter and then it was followed by the prosecutor Adam and...Laurel Lance.
It took forever, but Oliver finally arrived and was just as shocked to see Laurel was with the prosecution.
"I just finished explaining to your family that Miss Lance will be sitting second chair for the prosecution." Adam informed Oliver.
"This is a conflict of interest." Jean stated to him. "Miss Lance practically grew up in the Queen house."
"I think you're overstating matters." Adam replied sparklingly, almost like he was enjoying this.
"Well, we'll see when I move to conflict Miss Lance off this case." Jean replied, mimicking his tone.
"Maybe there won't be a case much longer." Adam replied with a shrug. "I come here with not just Miss Lance but with a plea offer." He then slid over a piece of paper over to Jean who began to look it over.
"Life, with the possibility of parole." Laurel summed up the deal.
But as the family all looked shocked to hear this deal, Jean scoffed and noticed all of their faces and handed the paper back to Adam.
"No. We're not pleading out." Jean promised. "Mrs. Queen is innocent."
"She aided and abetted 505 homicides." Adam reminded them.
"Under duress from a homicidal maniac named Malcom Merlyn." Jean defended her. "She also withdrew from the criminal conspiracy prior to its execution."
"Five minutes prior." Adam rolled his eyes, almost as if he's already won the case. "With Malcom Merlyn dead, a jury's going to want to blame someone."
"Because blaming the one responsible would be too easy." Peter muttered to himself, squeezing the chair he's currently sitting on.
"If she doesn't take the deal, she's facing the death penalty." Laurel warned them.
"Sounds a lot like blackmail." Thea stated.
"Thea..." Walter tried to calm her down and placed a comforting hand on hers.
"Try reality." Adam replied to her. "And here's some more. We've subpoenaed over a decade's worth of phone messages, phone records, letters, and emails. I'm willing to bet I find something that crushes your duress defense to powder."
'I'd like to crush you to powder.' Peter thought to himself.
"Mr. Donner..." Moria finally spoke since the meeting began. "...if you don't mind, I'd Ike a few days to consider your offer."
After Laurel and Adam left, the family was left alone with Moria and they were confused on why she would want time and Oliver chased after Laurel and Adam.
"You're not actually considering the deal, are you?" Thea asked her mother.
"I don't know. Which is why I need a few days to consider it." Moria stated to her. "To be honest, dear, you see my chances are falling expeditiously."
"Let's all keep calm." Walter tried to cool things down.
"Yo can't be serious!" Thea cried when Oliver finally returned.
"What's going on?" Oliver asked, wondering what he just missed.
"Mom wants to take the deal." Thea stated.
Oliver was shocked to hear this and looked to his mother. "Mom, if this is about the death penalty-"
"Even if we ever get to sentencing," Jean interrupted him, "you were acting under duress. I have everything I need to keep them from sentencing you to death."
"The death penalty doesn't scare me, Jean." Moria tells her.
"Then what is it?" Peter asked, shocked that his mother,
"I have my reasons, honey." Moria stated.
"Name one." Thea dared.
"Because I'm tired of fighting." Moria said and now Peter was really shocked. His mother was the one who's been helping him continue on fighting, the one person who kept him from falling, and she's done fighting? "I'm not confident I can win over a jury. And I'm not altogether certain that I deserve to."
"Okay, that was actually three." Thea muttered to herself before becoming serious again. "No, seriously, you're just ready to give up? Just take your medicine and spend the rest of your life in here. We still need you!"
Thea then stormed out of the room and Oliver went after his sister, Jean left and Walter saw Peter would like a moment alone with his mother and walked to stand in the hall.
"You really just going to give up?" Peter asked Moria. tears swelling in his eyes. "Mom, the only reason I've never quit fighting is because of you."
Moria was confused by this but listened as she saw Peter wasn't done talking yet.
"You we're the rock that kept me on the ground. No matter what I've been going through out there, the Demons, Martin Li, that weird Scorpion dude, even that freaking Vulture guy, no matter what I go up against, I remember that you're in here and are still fighting. And that's how I find the strength to get back up. If you've reached your limit...then what's my limit?"
Moria listened to what he said and didn't know what to say as Peter then got up and walked away.
Not knowing where else he could go, he was back home and was letting out all of his anger by grabbing a punching bag and then throwing it into the wall. He then let out a ear piercing scream and stomped his foot down on one of the weights, causing it to go flying into his hand where he then threw it, sending it flying across the room and embedding it into the wall.
"You're gonna have to come up with a better excuse for that one, Tiger." MJ commented as she stood in the doorway to just let Peter have a minute.
Peter stopped and walked over to the wall and dropped down, which is when MJ knew she needed to involve herself and walked over, putting a hand over his shoulder, and pulling Peter in from a hug.
"Want me to go see if we can find a few criminals for you to beat the hell out of?" MJ asked both jokingly and seriously.
"Just hold me, please." Peter begged her and MJ just sat there and held onto her.
But that's when their alarms then went off, and they wonder what's wrong. Looking, they're shocked to see that there's a robbery in progress downtown.
"A robbery?" MJ asked and looked to Peter who immediately got up and marched out of the room.
MJ began to get worried for him and quickly raced after him and just found him as he entered his bedroom and activated the wall to the hideout.
"Do you think that you should be going out there? Maybe you should just let the cops handle it?" MJ asked as Peter quickly got changed and sent a text to Miles to meet him there.
"I've got enough anger in the tank for one more beat down, and I'm going to use it." Peter promised as he puts on his mask and leaped out the window.
MJ watched as he swung off and wished she could do more to help.
Peter swing over to the Bank and landed on the side of it where he saw a swarm of officers outside waiting to go inside.
"Looks like a big operation for one person." Peter commented as he made his way in through the air vents.
"If you keep stalling for more time, something bad is liable to happen." A female voice echoed through the vents. "I'm certified crazy, you know."
"I can already see that." Peter could already tell without even getting a chance to take a look at this woman.
"I'm not stalling, I swear!" The Bank Director promised.
"Why can't you people have a nice normal safe I could just break into?" The woman asked and Peter made it out of the vents and finally saw the woman.
She was a attractive, curvaceous girl with long white-platinum blonde hair and blue eyes. Her outfit consists of a black suit with white accents and black goggles that were hidden under her long hair. The gloves of her costume form retractable claws at the fingertips with white-fur around the top half of the suit.
Oh, and she was pointing a gun to the Bank Director's head. He should really focus on that.
"The codes. NOW!" She demanded the Director and shoved the barrel of the gun into his head.
"Okay, okay! I'll do it! I'll give you the codes. Just don't kill me!" Director pleaded to her.
"We know you're in there, Black Cat!" Someone from outside called through a megaphone.
Peter recognized that name and wondered where he heard it before.
"I see my reputation precedes me." Black Cat said, proud to hear the call. "You! Come with me!" She said as she grabbed the bank Director and dragged him over to the elevator leading to the lower levels of the bank where they keep the safes.
"Just the person I need to deal with." Peter said, happy he might be able to let out all of his anger with her.
