Peter swung his way home after his fiasco against Chameleon and his encounter with the Black Cat. Reaching the front door, he was thinking he might wanna change out of the alien costume when his costume slowly slipped away and left him in his normal clothing.

"Huh. Well, that's new." Peter commented. "Something tells me you and I are gonna get along just fine." He had a strong feeling about the goo as he then opened the door.

Once inside, he looked to see Oliver and Thea were there with smiles. That was a bit strange to him, not because the fact his brother rarely smiles and when he does it looks forced. But this time it looked like a genuine smile.

"Hey, what's going on?" Peter wondered.

"Well, mom's going to keep fighting, turning down the offer for life." Oliver informed his brother with a smile.

"Really? What changed her mind?" Peter wondered, feeling this day's ending on a high note.

"We can be very persuasive." Thea reminded her brother.

"Right." Peter said with a sarcastic tone.

"What? It's true." Thea stated.

"Right." Peter said, sarcasm dripping from his tone before beginning to feel very tired. "I'm gonna head to bed. Long day today."

"Yeah, sure. Good night." Oliver said as Peter went up to bed.

When Peter reached his room, he had no idea why he was feeling so tired. But thinking back, he did have a rough day, learning his mom might get a death sentence, having to fight Black Cat in the bank, needing to avoid the cops, then fight Chameleon, it was a long day. So, it isn't such a surprise as he then walked over and just plopped down in his bed and passed out.

The next day, things didn't exactly seem so different from every other day. But Peter seemed to have a bit of a dull feeling recently. Maybe it's just the fear with his mom's trial coming up in a few days.

"Hey, are you okay?" Miles asked when Peter had made it over to their after-school table.

"Wow, how much sleep did you get last night?" MJ asked.

Peter was confused what they were talking about when he took a look in the reflection and saw his eyes looked bloodshot.

"Yikes. I guess I didn't have much sleep after that whole Chameleon thing." Peter muttered and rubbed his face.

"Hey, what was with that black suit the other night?" MJ wondered what he did with her suit.

"Something that I need to actually look into with someone I know." Peter admitted as he saw the time. "And I need to get there, I'll call you guys later. Or call me when something happens. Hey, where's Anya?"

"No idea." Miles admitted with a shrug. "She said she had someone to meet up with."

Anya was in Oscorp, waiting on her friend Alana to come back with her reports. She didn't have to wait long, as Alana came in with a few files in hand.

"I have no idea what you want with these, but here are Robert Queen's results." Alana stated as she handed over the files. "And the file on our Spider project."

Anya then opened it and saw the last report on Robert was almost two decades ago. And then she saw the results she was afraid of getting.

It would seem, due to what she's seeing in these results, Robert Queen was infertile. After Thea, it seemed he had some physical issues that made him infertile. He couldn't have had any more kids.

But it could've been a mishap that he was able to have Peter.

Then more questions were beginning to come to her mind as when she opened the file from the Spiders that Peter was bitten by and saw the project was put together by Malcom Merlin to create some super enhanced soldiers.

Well, the spiders indeed did their job on that. Miles and Peter could take down the entire police station if they wanted. But then she looked and saw it was a project with Malcom's own blood put into the one on display at the field trip.

"What were you looking for in this?" Alana asked.

"I think I found my answers." Anya said, wondering if this could be something big.

Peter went to Queen Consolidated where he brought a sample of the black goo to a scientist he knew, Sara Ehret. She looked over the creature and had no idea what it was.

"Honestly, I've never seen anything like this." Sara tells Peter. "I mean, I know everything in biology, but I've never seen anything like this before. I'll run some tests, see what I can come up with. Maybe call in a few favors from some friends of mine at STAR Labs. Maybe even Oscorp."

"Okay." Peter guessed.

That's when the small piece scrambled out from under the microscope and scrambled to make it back to Peter. He quickly picked up a canister and covered the specimen before it could reach him.

"It seems to really like you." Sara took notice of before coming to a theoretical conclusion. "I wouldn't let any of that get on you."

"Sure, why though?" Peter asked, having his own thought on that himself.

"It has many characteristics of a Symbiote. They need to bond to something else in order to survive. And sometimes in nature when they're bonded, they can be very hard to undo." Sara explained to him.

Peter then became very afraid and knows he shouldn't be using that black suit anymore. Luckily, he knows how to get the black off of his suit so he can just go back to his casual attire.

Anya wasn't one to visit friends' family members, especially when they're convicted and have a trial coming up. But this was something that she needed to talk about, and she didn't want to discuss this with Peter until she knew the actual facts.

Moria was surprised when she saw who asked to see her, and it wasn't her lawyer, her family, or some reporter. "Hello. Who are you?"

"Mrs. Queen...or is it Ms. Queen?" Anya wondered, no idea how to address her.

"How about Moria for now? Now who are you?" Moria asked as she and Anya took seats at a table.

"I'm Anya Corazon." Anya introduced herself, which now was getting attention from Moria. "I don't-"

"Anya, yes, my son talks about you a lot." Moria confirmed she knew her. "What can I do for you?"

"Um...Well, I think you know that I know about your son's...neighborly activities." Anya tried to keep it on the downlow with all the guards.

"Don't worry, as long as you don't do something to get their attention, they won't pay attention." Moria assured her on the guards. "Yes, I know my son is Spider-Man, and he's training Miles as a new hero. And that all of his friends know his secret."

"Okay. Good." Anya was happy and relieved, before going to the uncomfortable subjects. "So, I was looking into the spiders that he was bitten with. Now, all the spiders were created by Oscorp, created to enhance people's abilities."

"Yes, I have been made aware of that through Peter." Moria confirmed.

"But there's something you or Peter know." Anya said as she took the file out that showed the experimental spiders. "The one that started it all, the first spider, was enhanced for a specific person. Malcom Merlyn."

Moria was surprised and took the file to look over it herself.

"And that Spider was enhanced with his specific DNA. Meaning if anyone else were to be bit, they would've gotten ill and die." Anya stated, remembering Peter's story of how when he was bitten, the spider made him ill to the point he passed out until his mother's confession on the news. "But Peter didn't. He woke up after being sick with the abilities of a spider, now there are only two ways that could happen. The first one being he is the luckiest of luck. But the other is that...his blood contains-"

"Yes." Moria understood what she was going to say. "Yes...you're as intelligent as my son claims you are."

"Moria...you need to tell Peter." Anya said. "If he finds out about this on his own, that he's-"

"No, he can never know." Moria interrupted her. "If Peter knew about this, it would destroy him. He thinks he is honoring his family by being the hero they need right now. If he ever learned about this...he would question the very reason he puts on that mask."

"I think he should know. But I don't have the right to tell him." Anya assured her and took the files back. "But if he finds out...and he finds out by himself...this will destroy him. I've seen Peter when he's mad. He will protect his friends and family if it's the last thing he does. But this? This'll destroy his world."

"I know. That's why he's a hero." Moria assured Anya.

Anya nodded and sighed as she got up and packed everything away. "Good luck tomorrow."

"Thank you." Moria said as she was then taken away and Anya made her way out.

Sebastian Blood went into his facility that Slade Wilson gave him, looking over their newest creation using the Mirakuru. Aleksei Sytsevich was approached by Slade and promised the man another chance at killing Spider-Man.

He has now become extremely tall (towering over most people) and incredibly muscular. Much of his body is now covered in a gray armor suit designed after a rhino, which includes two metallic horns on his helmet that light blue optic lenses.

"Good morning, Mr. Sytsevich. How are you feeling?" Blood asked.

"Stronger." Aleksei stated with a grin as he stomped closer. "Where is Spider-Man?"

A FEW MONTHS AGO:

In Iron Heights, there was someone who should never see the light of day again. Someone who should never have been left alive. This man has been convicted for eleven consecutive life sentences that had begun when he was ten.

This man was Cletus Cortland Kassady.

He was just resting in his cell when the room began to shake. His entire cell shook, the roof started to crumble, the toilet started to spew water everywhere. Until a gigantic piece of rubble crashed down onto his cell's wall and left a gigantic hole.

Climbing out, Cletus saw as the entire city was falling apart, fires were starting as buildings were crumbling. And he envied and enjoyed all of it.

"Chaos this way comes!" Cletus cried out and laughed as he did a weird and strange skip and dance down the mountain and actually took pleasure in the quake and deaths of hundreds of people.
