Collin was a bit concerned with the new year. Each year at Hogwarts seemed to bring trouble, and the worst of it was yet to come, he was sure of it. He kept worrying about Hope's message from the vault. Who was this enemy? Why were they messing with the vaults? Why did he have to be dragged in, and why did his friends also get dragged in? They were only kids! He finished packing his bag and gathering his gear. They had to leave for the train the next day.
"Collin, are you sure you're okay?" Charles asked as his adoptive son came down the stairs.
Collin sighed as he looked at the blue Hedgehog who had raised him. Charles was far too kind, and Collin wanted nothing more than to make him proud and keep him safe and happy. "I'm fine, Dad. I'm just worried about Hope and the next vault… as well as what kind of madness I'll accidentally have my friends in this year."
"Don't worry, son. I'm sure you'll be amazing." Charles assured him as he patted his boy. He knew that Collin was a good boy and that this wasn't his fault. "Everything will work out, you'll see."
Collin looked up to his dad and smiled. He then hugged his dad with all his tiny body's strength. "Thanks, Dad." Charles always seemed to know what to say to help Collin.
Charles was a little surprised but didn't question it. He simply hugged his boy back. "No matter what happens, Collin. I'm always here for you."
"Right."
The next day, Charles took Collin to the train, off to his next adventure, while Charles worried about his boy, and prayed that when he found what he was looking for, it wouldn't destroy him.
