In the middle of the night, there was a storm, and two men were guarding the Queen Consolidated when they heard something bang on the metal doors.
Drawing their weapons, the doors started to be peeled open by something large.
Or someone.
They immediately stated shooting at him whilst the man marched in and charged before hitting one of the herds with its sharp point on the front, followed by the second guard...getting stepped on.
The next day, the Queen family were all together when they got the word and, yeah, it wasn't exactly a pretty sight.
"This door was made of expanded reinforced titanium." Diggle commented. "What did they use to do this?"
"Not sure yet." Lance told them as they circled the bodies. "No sign of any explosives. Maybe a Crane, a forklift. Three maybe four of them."
Peter however had a different theory as he was looking around, MJ close next to him.
"What are you thinking?" MJ wondered.
"These tracks seem to indicate that there was only one guy." Peter told her. "And their guard was attacked with a giant horn of some sort."
"Super strong, crushing people, and a giant horn. Don't tell me we're dealing with an evil Rhino." MJ begged.
"Knowing my history with the animal kingdom, I wouldn't be surprised." Peter sighed.
"Didn't happen to leave a spare earthquake machine laying around, did ya?" Lance asked, trying to make some form of a joke, but ended with a disturbed look from the entire family, minus Thea. "Sorry."
"This is what we're able to pull off the security cameras." Another officer said and showed it to them.
What they saw was shocking.
It was an extremely tall man (towering over the guards) and incredibly muscular. Most of his body is covered in a gray armor suit that seemed designed after a rhino, which includes a metallic horn on his helmet that light blue optic lenses.
"What the hell?" Oliver asked.
"The only guy we got on video." He tells them as the guy then tossed something at the camera, breaking it. "The rest of the crew must've come in after him.
"Actually, it was just one guy." Someone called, getting their attention as they saw someone new walk towards them after looking around the building. "Sorry I'm late. Actually, my train was late. Well, the second one. I did miss the first one, but that was my cab driver's fault. But I'm here now."
"Great, who the hell are you?" Lance asked, never meeting this guy before.
"And do your parents know you're here?" Oliver asked, earning a snort from Peter.
"I'm Barry Allen." The supposed Barry introduced himself to them. "I'm from the Central City police department. I'm with the CSI unit. We're working on a case with some...similar unexplained elements in Central City. So, when the report of the robbery came over the wire, my captain sent me up here."
"And you think that one guy ripped through this door like it was tinfoil?" Lance asked for clarification.
"One very strong guy, yeah." Barry conformed. "It takes about over two-thousand-foot pounds of torque to crush someone. He then showed them the report of the man who was crushed. "See the bruising pattern? This suggests this killer used a foot."
"Like...a very large foot." Peter informed him. "Larger than anyone ever recorded."
"So, we're looking for Bigfoot?" Lance asked jokingly.
"Spider-Man could do it." Barry shrugged it off. "Or maybe that other one. Does he have a code name? Spider-Boy?"
"We call him Kid Arachnid." Peter stated.
"Little better." Barry guessed.
"We're gonna need a list of the entire inventory to figure out what was stolen."
"Actually, I think I know what was stolen." Barry tells them. "A centrifuge. Industrial centrifuge. Probably the Oscorp 2BX-900. Maybe the six series." He then led them to an opening in the room with a missing device. "Both have a three-column base. You can see the three sets just ripped it out of the ground."
"And what exactly is a centrifuge?" Lance asked them.
"It's a device used to separate liquids." MJ answered.
"The centripetal acceleration caused denser substances to separate out along the radial direction." Peter added.
"And the lighter objects move to the top." Barry finished in confirmation. "Peter Queen, right?"
"Yep." Peter confirmed. "Oliver's bother."
Barry then got back on subject and gestured to the giant cracks in the ground. "And these cracks, heading to the door. Footsteps. One guy."
"There has to be another explanation." Lance stated, not wanting to believe this was the work of one man.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" MJ asked Peter.
"That I was switched at birth and I'm actually this guy's brother?" Peter asked jokingly.
"That we actually do have an evil human/Rhino we need to take down." MJ scoffed.
Peter sighed and knew this was going to be harder to take down, considering that this guy apparently is stronger than even him.
With everything calmed down, Moria was a little curious about where her son set up shop and Peter showed her his walk-in closet, now turned into a secret headquarters.
"And that's where the suits web cartridges are developed, and the webbing is developed on some untraceable chemicals that I get from the school." Peter explained to her as Moria spotted some blueprints for a newer advanced suit.
"And what's this?" Moria asked, seeing the suit was some teched out version of his current one.
"Oh, some hypothetical suit I've been working on with everyone." Peter shrugged. "It's an armored advanced suit with the capability to handle a few more hits than my current cloth suit. I'm grateful for the suit, and I wouldn't exactly plan on wearing this one often, the armor is a bit...thick."
"I would fear to ask how much this would cost, but we're not exactly low on money." Moria guessed. "What do you call it?"
"Miles likes to call it the Steel Spider, but I just code named it the Iron-Spider." Peter shrugged, not really having a special laid out name for the armor.
That's when an alert went off on the computer, getting their attention away from it.
"And that'd be the alert system." Peter said as he walked over and saw there was a silent alarm tripped at the blood bank. "Uh, I gotta go."
"Go then." Moria said as Peter raced towards the window, tearing his clothes off to reveal his suit underneath his clothes and texted Miles to meet him there. "Good luck."
Peter then placed his mask on and leaped out the window, swinging off towards the emergency. Leaving Moria to watch with a proud smile on her face, seeing her son is trying to make a difference.
"Brave kid." A voice said, causing Moria to jump and turn to face Malcom Merlyn. "Jumping to face danger head on."
"Wha are you doing here, Malcom?" Moria asked him, wanting him out of here.
"I think you know why I'm here." Malcom stated, knowing she does indeed know what he's here for.
"You cannot have my son." Moria stated.
"Our son." Malcom reminded. "I think we both needed someone that night. I felt so bad about betraying Rebecca's memory...that I left Starling. Left Tommy behind. That's when I made my way to Nanda Parbat...where I found my new purpose. In a way, Moria. You made me the man I am today."
"Peter is innocent." Moria stated, started to tear up at the thought she could lose her son. "He loved Robert. Don't take that away from him."
"Peter is all I have left." Malcom stated. "Tell him the truth...and tell him soon."
Peter and Miles made it to the blood bank where the alert went off on and looked around to see nothing out of the usual.
"You sure the alert wasn't accidentally tripped?" Miles asked as he looked around the place.
Peter walked around and was waiting to feel something is wrong anywhere. "So, we're dealing with someone with super strength, and his next stop was to steal blood after making off with a centrifuge. You thinking what I'm thinking?"
"We're dealing with a vampire?" Miles asked as he was checking out the cars.
"He's working on something." Peter explained when both of their senses went off and the wall explodes, sending the two flying.
"Hello again, tiny Spider." The man in the explosion said as Peter and miles were shocked to see just how huge the man was as he noticed Miles. "Ah, and new Spider."
"What the hell is that?!" Miles asked as the two backed away.
"I think MJ was right about the evil Rhino thing." Peter said as he and Miles jumped out of the way whilst Rhino charged and missed the two.
Miles and Peter shot webs at the man when he spun around and sent the two flying into the wall of the blood bank.
"Ow." Miles groaned as he climbed up the wall so to avoid getting crushed by the man. Or whatever he is.
The Rhino then backed away and snarled as Peter leaped behind him and got into a spider stance. "Hey, Rhino boy. You got a score to settle? Settle it with me!"
"It would be my pleasure...Spider!" Rhino cried, causing Peter to recognize the man's voice.
"Wait... Alexi?" Peter asked as the man charged at him, causing Peter to run and leap over him, dodging the horn and allowing him to crash into another wall.
"You know this guy?" Miles asked as he dropped next to Peter.
"Yeah, we ran into each other once." Peter explained to Miles how he knew the man. "He was rampaging through the city, like...last year."
"That was the old Alexi. It's Rhino now!" Rhino informed them as he charged at them, Peter and Miles leaping out of the way, and both shot webs to stop him. But it ended with them both being swung into a building yet again.
Peter landed on the side and landed perfectly as Miles was sliding off the side before finally sticking.
"Okay, we need a plan." Peter said, no idea what to do.
That's when an arrow came flying in and flicked off as Rhino turned to face the Vigilante.
"It's the Arrow." Miles stated, trying out his nickname for him.
"That's not gonna catch on." Peter informed him.
"Run!" Oliver told the two masked kids as the Rhino charged at him.
Quickly, Oliver used a grapple arrow and got out of his path as he crashed into the blood bank. Quirking fast, he pulled a few tasers out and shot him before going for the openings in the man's armor and was able to get some blood out, still reuniting in the arrow getting crushed.
The three ran as fast as they could, all of them knowing it was gonna take more than a few webs and arrows to take him down.
But Peter missed the goo creature is revealing itself more and more as it's secretly been helping Peter through the fight and hold Rhino back and multiplying his abilities.
(A/N) So, that thing about Peter and Barry being brothers...would anyone really care if I made an AU (BRANCHES) chapter based around that? I don't know why, but this whole "little brother Peter" thing is getting kinda fun and even if it's just an AU, I think it'd be a fun path to look down.
