What I did was wrong.
When you have a mental disability and complete lack of confidence in yourself, it's easy to be swayed by the bias and criticism of others. In my own thoughtless haste, I removed the original, decent story in favour of rewriting a new one, and to get several haters off my back. I allowed the bashing of others to get the better of me, and I wanted it to stop.
I see what an awful mistake I made. VoP was flawed, but it attracted a lot of people, shockingly. In spite of my own opinionated bias against the character of Anakin Skywalker, and the inconsistencies my story often took, it was quite loved. And I ruined all that, and I'm sorry.
So, here it all is: The whole original work, unedited - minus the very first chapter - with all Author Notes removed, to avoid confusion. The grammar and spelling mistakes are high, but I was younger back then and still was relatively new to the writing world. I'm not sure if I've improved that much, but when the time comes for me to continue it, I only hope I can succeed in attracting positives as I did before.
If you expect consistent, gradual updates, you're better off being disappointed: To be frank, the Star Wars fandom is the last place I want to delve into, right now. It is in a state of constant disarray; two sides warring repeatedly with smug self-entitlement, and self-victimizing. People harassing others and playing the victim when those others bite back. You can't even go ANYWHERE Star Wars related without some dead-horse-beating, attention-grabbing "the sequels are trash" or "better than the sequels."
The hate is overwhelming, and the irony is, it's not Disney that's really the problem. It's the fans. Yes, Disney's Star Wars is arguably more divisive than even the prequels were, but the continuous hate on the content and on anyone who likes it is daunting. Not saying the sequel/Disney lovers are blameless themselves, but in my experience, it's the haters who do the more damage, and pretend to play the victim when someone doesn't let themselves get bruised by their harassment. So until the hate dies down and fans can learn to live in peace again, I will be distancing myself from the community. That's why I have a single request, for those whom leave any feedback for this story:
Please, no pointless Disney SW bashing. I don't care if my fic is better, worse or even on par. But I digress.
I'm sorry I let you all down, those who enjoyed the fic. Again, I was young and incredibly insecure - and that honestly hasn't changed much - so I hope you can all understand that. One day I'll continue this, and you're all free to pitch in with ideas for the story's progression until then! But if you expect often, fresh new chapters in a scheduled manner, I advise you look elsewhere. My heart's not in it right now.
Enjoy! Again!
