Peter didn't know how he came to where he was. He was somehow in the streets of Starling City, currently running away from something. His heart was racing, almost ready to burst out of his chest as he ran. Turning around, he sees a giant pile of black goo chasing him from high above the city chasing after him.

As Peter kept running through the empty streets, he ended up running down a dead end. Trying to use his powers to climb up the side of the wall to escape, his powers seemed to have stopped working and he slipped to the ground.

The black ooze started to crawl towards Peter, making him try to run but ended up staying in place as the goo kept coming at him. When the ooze got close enough to him, Peter watched as it started to take the form of a man.

Peter was then grabbed by the ooze, brought up to its makeshift face, and it screeches at Peter. Peter tried to pull himself free from the creature but to no avail. Then he looked around and noticed a gigantic version of his Spider-Man suit coming in from the other side of the city.

The suit seemed empty as it came in with loose clothing and shot a web using the web-shooters and pulled Peter to safety. Peter was only getting more lost at what was happening as his suit and the ooze started to fight it off.

When the ooze punched and sent the Spider-Man suit flying, it went back and picked Peter up before he could get too far away. But when it picked him up, the suit came back and tried to pull Peter free from its grasp.

But the suit proved to be too weak, and Peter was engulfed by the ooze as it tossed him into his mouth.

That's when Peter woke up in a cold sweat. Looking around, he saw he was back in his room, memories flooding back of what happened that night of Nyssa Al Gul, Stick, his brother, Sara, his talk with everyone.

That was such an intense dream.

But the weirdest thing?

He woke up to find himself on the ceiling. In his black suit.

"What the hell?" Peter questioned, feeling something is wrong. But at the same time...he feels like nothing is wrong.

Maybe he's just started to sleepwalk? But he's never done that before. Yet again, he's rarely had the sleep possible to sleepwalk.

The next day, nothing happened to the city that Peter and Miles were able to have the day off. Anya was even getting back to her usual self, but Peter knew that she was dying for keeping this secret. He needed to talk to his mother about it, hopefully, that'll ease Anya and things could go back to normal.

That night, the Queen family was throwing a party to celebrate Sara's return to the land of the living. Peter decided since the city didn't need Spider-Man, maybe this time he participated in this one.

After some talking and promises that he and his friends won't try to sneak any of the alcohol - even though the alcohol can't even do anything to him or Miles - his mother and Walter saw it would be okay, considering there would be a few their age also coming.

Peter made his way downstairs after finally finishing up getting ready for the party, trying to put his weird dream behind him, and made it just in time for his friends to show up.

Opening the door, Peter was left awestruck at seeing Mary Jane Watson and the outfit she chose to come as.

"Uh...wow," Peter said in shock.

MJ chuckled and knew that she would get some reaction from Peter, but this was far beyond anything she could have imagined.

She came dressed in some elegant black sleeveless dress that just made her look stunning in Peter's eyes. As he continued to stare, MJ couldn't help to just chuckle at his look.

"Fade it, Tiger. You've hit the jackpot." MJ informed him.

The two of them then started to talk, mostly about Peter complimenting how beautiful MJ was until Miles and Anya finally arrived.

As the friends began to meet and talk before making their way through the party, Moria and Oliver ran into each other. Everything between the two has been...off since Oliver discovered her secret about Peter being Malcolm's son.

"I didn't think you'd be here," Oliver told her.

"This is my house. And if you don't want to pretend to be mother and son, don't throw parties in my home." Moria said before walking away.

Thea noticed some weird tension between them and made her way over to stop her mother. "Mom, is everything okay between you and Ollie?"

Moria put on a brave face to mask her true feelings. "Yes, of course."

That's when Thea looked over and saw Oliver quickly put on a smile to hide his feelings. Thea decided to accept that and saw she must've misread the situation and walked away.

Quinten then got a call about a homicide in the glades, which meant to the kids the party was over and they thought of checking it out themselves. As soon as they left, Oliver also got a call from Felicity regarding the case and left with Sara.

Yuri sneaked off down an alley when she heard a thump and turned to see it was Peter and Miles falling on the trash cans.

"You can't just walk around and sneak like some normal people?" Yuri asked them.

"Do we look like normal people?" Miles asked her.

"He's got a point," Peter admitted. "What's up?"

Yuri sighed as she pulled out a file from her jacket. "This is...a bad case." She then handed it to the two as Peter took it and opens it.

What they saw will never leave their minds for the rest of their lives. A man...with half of his neck eaten out. That's not including his arms, stomach, and just about everywhere.

"Oh, god," Peter said in disgust.

"Yeah. I know." Yuri confirmed the disgust. "There's one person capable of something like this. Cletus Kassidy."

"The Carnage Killer?" Miles asked in shock, remembering his father going up against him.

"The very same," Yuri confirmed. "It seems that he escaped from Iron Heights when the quakes hit."

"Anyways of tracking him?" Peter asks. "Victims? Any noticeable patterns?"

"Completely random patterns. He's a psychotic mind." Yuri was sorry to say. "The people he finds, he will either hold onto and store victims or eat them right away. This guy was victim number one. If we don't stop him fast, there is going to be a lineup of them."

"No pressure." Peter joked, seeing this was no laughing matter.

"The Carnage Killer." Anya was shocked to hear that this was their next case for the police. "The Carnage Killer is loose. I'm taking Miles with me everywhere I go now."

"If we are picking superhero buddies then I'll gladly take Peter." MJ agreed to that thought and looked over to smile at him.

Miles was shocked to hear that and looked over to Peter, seeing he was looking over the old cases of the Carnage Killer, completely missing what MJ just said.

"Wow, and I'm told I'm dense," Miles commented, shocked Peter never noticed how MJ cares for him.

"Kassidy doesn't have any pattern in his victims, it's just the matter of placement." Peter was sorry to say. "Wherever he is, and whenever he strikes are random." But then he got an idea and lined up the victims in the sight of streets. "Wait. I've got it."

"What?" Miles asks.

"Something from your father's work," Peter said and showed off the file his father had on Cletus. "He theorized he was going somewhere. He just picked up some snacks along the way."

"And you think five years later he's going back?" Anya asks.

"Says here he grew up in St. Estes Home for Children," MJ said and showed off some of his papers. "Any connections?"

Peter then got to thinking and wondered what he would want. "The heart...find the heart..." This voice started to whisper into Peter's head, giving him an idea.

"Is there anyone there he might have a connection with?" Peter wonders. "Any friends or anything?"

Anya and MJ started to look through the notes and information they could find online. Anya couldn't find anything on the internet, but MJ found something that might be useful in the papers from the orphanage.

"Wait, here's something. Frances Louise Barrison." MJ said and Anya started to look through the web (ha!) to find out all she could. "Says here that she and Cletus were close. Like...close."

"Yep, here she is." Anya finally found her and showed off what she discovered. "Frances Louise Barrison, a mental patient at the newly developed St. Estes Home for the Mentally Ill."

"You're telling me that Starling City has a personal Arkham Asylum?" Miles asks them. "Why am I only learning about this now?!"

"It's not like they advertise it on the billboards," Peter informed him.

"Where is it?" MJ asked as Anya got to work looking to find where it was located. "Somewhere in the Glades near...oh, god."

"What?" Peter asked as he walked over and saw the location. "Oh, my god."

The facility was just a few minutes away from Thea's nightclub.

And according to Cletus' current path, he was going to go right past it.
