The secret was finally out. Everyone knows Peter's secret.
So why is it like nothing changed?
The next day after Peter revealed his secret to his family, he was helping Oliver, Sara, who he learned was the Black Canary, with some big-time criminal Hugo Mannheim.
Dodging the dozens of bullets that were being fired was easy for the spiders and was even fun with the fact they were drawing the fire away from Oliver and Sara.
"Guys, you're embarrassing yourself," Peter said as he shot a web net to wrap up one of them. "Just drop the guns before-"
Before he could finish that statement, Oliver shot an arrow into one of their hands, causing them to cry in pain.
"...that happens." Peter finished his thought and shrugged at the criminal. "Tried to warn ya."
Lance and Yuri went after the Hugo guy and were about to be shot when Miles shot two strings of webbing, one to his gun and the other to his back.
"I'll take that," Miles said and yanked the gun out of his hands. "Didn't your mother warn you about guns?" He then spun the gun around on his finger. "Someone didn't listen to Eddie Eagles PSAs."
That's when the gun fell off his hand and Peter immediately shot a web to stop it from hitting the ground and going off.
"How about you let the grownups handle the guns?" Peter asks of him.
Miles gave a thumbs up and Peter raced off to help Oliver by webbing the escaping convict and pulling him back. Oliver then pulled out an arrow and aimed it at his face, allowing him to discover who it is.
"Frank Bertinelli?" Oliver asked.
"Did my daughter send you to kill me?" Frank asked him.
"What?" Peter asked no idea which one to question first.
A few other officers then showed up, causing the heroes to see they needed to get out before they shot at them.
After Frank was arrested, Yuri came into an alley, followed by two people dropping down and meeting her.
"Nice new suit," Yuri told Miles.
"Thanks," Miles said as he felt up his spider insignia. "Broke it in last night."
"Thanks for your help tonight...but we're gonna need you guys on high alert now we have Bertinelli in custody," Yuri informed the two with a sigh.
"Why's that?" Peter asks.
"It's only a matter of time before his daughter comes to finish the deed," Yuri informed him.
"His daughter?" Peter and Miles asked.
The two of them went to the Arrow Cave (Oliver never signed off on that name) and they were told the whole story about Helena Bertinelli. Daughter of a mafia boss. One of Oliver's old girlfriends.
Why isn't Peter surprised?
"You know, when people said you get around, I thought they were over-exaggerating," Peter informed Oliver as he looked at a photo.
"You don't know half of it," Sara commented as she walked past.
"Why does she wanna kill her dad?" Miles asked as he was looking at one of Oliver's arrows and pricked himself on one of them.
"He has her fiancé murdered," Oliver said as he snatched the arrow from him. "She wants payback."
"Wow," Miles commented. "You guys have way darker villains than what we have to deal with."
"I've been keeping tabs on Helena over the past year. Last night was a month ago in Palermo." Felicity said and pulled up all information she had on her.
"Seems she's been busy," Roy commented.
"By busy, you mean torturing and killing mafiosos that might know where her father is," Felicity replied.
"Still can't believe you knew my brother was the Arrow," Peter told Felicity.
"Yeah, I always somehow end up in the middle of your family drama," Felicity commented in a mutter.
"Word of her father's arrest hit the wire," Diggle commented. "How long until she books a ticket back home?"
"Something tells me she's on her way here," Oliver said and looked at Peter. "Which means we need to speed things up."
Peter looked scared and didn't like how that sounded. "I have a bad feeling about this."
The next day, Oliver waited out in some abandoned areas after school hours to have Peter trained. He waited out in the open and saw Peter coming in swinging and landing on an old car.
"Sorry, I'm late. I had to help Anya and Miles with their homework." Peter informed his brother. "Which is code for spider training. Well, Anya did have homework she needed help with."
"Some things never change with you, Peter." Oliver sighed.
"So, how does training work out here?" Peter asked as he looked around. "Some secret entrance to a training arena?"
"I've been reading the Daily Bugle recently," Oliver said to him, earning a groan from Peter. "The volume on that man...Damn."
"Yeah, I listen to him just for laughs," Peter admitted.
"Last night, I visited all the crime scenes you've been fighting at," Oliver commented.
"Don't you ever sleep?" Peter questioned.
"A few days before I returned you took on a man, Martin Li," Oliver commented.
"We call him Mr. Negative," Peter informed him.
"We can discuss you giving your enemies nicknames later," Oliver commented.
"Sure, you wanna do it while grabbing lunch with Deathstroke, Huntress, and Dark Archer?" Peter recapped some of the few enemies Oliver, Felicity, and Diggle have told him and his friends about.
Oliver looked over to his little brother and sighed, seeing his powers also made him snarky and joking. "The point is that you engaged Martin in a station. That was followed by then the two of you fighting on a commuter train, which you then destroyed with your combined powers."
Peter rolled his eyes. "Okay, there was some collateral damage, but I got the job done and saved many lives in the process."
"Peter, when you case a new environment, do you case every inch of it?" Oliver asked him.
Peter feels insulted by that and rolled his eyes again. This better not become a normal thing between them. "Do you?"
Oliver then froze and it seemed his brother had him there. He then walked over to an oil drum and revealed an arrow and bow. "The point is I have training. You, on the other hand, Peter, run in blind. There's a difference between powers and precision."
"You know, I've been doing perfectly well without you telling me all of these pointers." Peter pointed out to his brother and then eyed the weapon. "Should I fear what that is for?"
"You're going to stand over there." Oliver gestured to the middle of the area. "You're going to try and hit me, but you're gonna get hit with an arrow."
Peter couldn't help but laugh, never giving Oliver the full extent of his powers yet, and knew this was gonna be a show for him.
"Okay. I will allow you to be humored." Peter dared as he strolled over to the middle of the opening, noticing Oliver picked an area he can't web swing. "Ready?"
Oliver sighed and raised the bow. "Here we go."
Oliver then shot the arrow and Peter did a quick flip and dodged the attack. Peter landed in his stance and looked up at the bow that landed in the wall.
"You missed!" Peter called out.
Just then, his senses went off and he jumped just when several crossbows went off on the roofs of the buildings. The arrows went and shot directly where Peter was standing. If he were still there, two of them would've gone in his back, the other two in his feet.
Peter landed and did his best to dodge the arrows before they could even cut him. He sighed as he got up and picked one of the arrows out of the ground.
"I'm sorry...did you try to shoot me!?" Peter asked his brother in shock and anger.
Oliver looked shocked and in awe at the sight that he just watched. But then he looked at the anger and hatred in Peter's eyes.
"You tried to shoot me!" Peter declared.
"To teach you a lesson?" Oliver tried to defend himself.
Peter then picked up another one of the arrows and spun them around his hands with a smile. "You know what...I know the perfect place for these arrows."
Oliver then started to put the bow down when he watched Peter march over towards him. "Peter..."
"Come on. It won't hurt. Much!" Peter said as he charged at his brother, Oliver running off towards the street.
The two just ran around with Oliver trying his best to outrun his brother until Peter just tried to shoot the arrows with his arms. It only ended when Felicity and MJ called saying that they found a location on Helena and that she was heading for the city. Peter swore he was gonna get Oliver back for that attempt to hurt him.
