Episode 24: To the End of a Dream

Welp, here we are. The chapter you all have been waiting for. The big climax to the Gjira Saga. It all ends here. I hope you all enjoy, because ive pur my all into this one.

1602jaw: I try to do my research on the different real world countries, including wildlife if I think it's gonna be important. Cruise did a good job of setting this story in place, but here, we see Gjira's part of the story.

Guest: Indeed. A Chad all the way to the end.

thenewsubwayguy: Well, Gjira wasn't written exactly to be sympathetic, but to at least show why is the way he is. Everyone honestly did a good job last episode.

Knight: Well, that part of the flashback comes from my friend 1602jaw's fic, Total Drama Cruise. I just added more to it, mostly the Gjira-centric stuff.

"Last time on Total Drama Infinite 2, our stop was Cambodia, on a treasure hunt that was anything but normal. While most of the crew faced a couple of megalomaniacs, Edward went on a trip that really opened his eyes. He learned the sad past of Gjira, determined to use his power to save him as well. After dealing with the bad guys, Waluigi surprisingly won immunity, and Kiryu took the dreaded drop. Only seven are left, and all of them still have the drive to win. Keep watching what may be the biggest episode of Total Drama Infinite 2!"

We see Katakuri, looking more serious than usual, attempting to leave."

"Brother, wait!" Brulee said. "Where are you going?!"

"I have to help my friends." Katakuri replied. "The world is on the line."

"But mama is off in Wano Country right now! You were left in charge of looking after the place!"

"Sorry, but this is something I have to do. If anyone asks, tell them I said to shove it! I'm doing this not only for them, but for you all! If I don't come back….give everyone my regards."

(UA High Dormitories)

The other students watched as Iida was leaving, already in his hero costume.

"Hey, four eyes!" Bakugo yelled. "Where the hell ya going?!"

"I have to get going." Iida replied. "If Rick's intel is right, today is the day. I have to be there to help them."

"Do you want us to come too?" Midoriya asked.

"Sorry, but I have to go alone. Hopefully, I'll be back soon."

"Kick some butt out there, dude!" Kirishima said.

"And tell that Miu I said hey." Mineta said seductively.

"Dude, even I think she's too freaky." Kaminari tells him.

(Sunshine Orphanage)

Kiryu stands outside the orphanage, taking a good look at it before he leaves. He decided to do this while everyone was asleep, and even left them a note.

"I swear, this will not be the last time I see this place."

(The Jolly Rancher)

Yami watches the sea as they sail by.

"Hey, Yami!" Ryu said as he approached him. "Got any idea where we're heading next?"

"I heard it was a place called South Town." Yami said. "And I heard we'd all better be ready for another fight."

"Aw, crap."

(Rick's Garage)

Rick and Deadpool watched as Rick was finished fixing up his portal gun.

"You two dumbasses can stop watching me, you know." Rick snapped. "I'm almost done."

"Quit being an asshole, man." Deadpool said.

"Yeah!" Giovanni adds. "We need to be ready to help Fullmetal. I'd never forgive myself if I failed to do so!"

"Alright, I'm done." Rick opens up a familiar green portal. "Okay, numnuts. Let's bounce. This should take us directly to him."

We see Zach driving along the highway in his motor home.

"You know, you've been awfully calm since I picked you up." Zach said. "I get we're going the same way, but I'm excited. This will probably be my biggest story ever. That is, if I can stay out of the danger. Why so grim, Mr. Prince?"

Sitting in the vehicle solemnly, we see Dimitri. He now had his hair tied back into a short ponytail, and wore slim silver armor with a black and blue cape. With him, he carried a large, bony, archaic looking lance.

"Because I fully intend to die here today."

(Some flying pirate ship…)

"Oi, captain!" A guy dressed similar to a clown said as he stepped into the captain's quarters. "We're almost there!"

We see the silhouette of a well dressed fat man with a long pointy nose. His eyes darted towards the wanted poster of Gjira in his hand. A sleazy slasher smile grew across his face.

"Geh heh heh heh!" The guy laughed. "Halby! Tell the crew to get ready! Time get grabbin' while the grabbin' is good!"

Now moving back to familiar territory, back on the plane.

Silence filled the room as all remaining seven competitors sat around the table in awkward silence.

"So…." Tari said awkwardly. "Hard to believe it's just us left. Kinda feels weird, not having a lot of us left. Didn't think I'd get this far."

"Tell me about it." Joe adds. "Feels like the odds were always against me, but here I am."

"Hey, I'm just glad no questionable people made it here." Susie said. "If anyone like Starscream or Coyle got to this point, they'd probably be way tougher to deal with."

"Those two, Coyle especially, can go fuck themselves with a cactus." Miu said. "Could you imagine how annoying and frustrating it'd be if she bullshit her way here like she did before I dealt with her?"

"Kind of a shame some people couldn't get here." Terry said. "Katakuri, Edgeworth, Deadpool…..Aqua."

"Plenty of people have come and gone." Edward said.

"We shouldn't be dwelling on the past!" Waluigi reminds them. "We should be pretty stoked that we made it this far! We should be giving ourselves a pat on the back!"

"It's kinda hard to be in a cheerful mood." Edward said. "Gjira told Zandrill that "it was almost time.' He's probably gonna finally awaken the Scarlet King any day now."

"And we will be ready when the time comes." Tari tells him in a comforting way. "You're now a hero that dispelled anything isn't joyous. The least you could do is live up to it."

"You're right. Sorry."

Before any of them could say anything else, Chris's voice was heard over the intercom.

"Alright, competitors. We got a crazy challenge that I know one of you is really going to enjoy, so get ready to land."

"One of us will enjoy it?" Terry questioned. "Please tell me it's what I think it is."

The plane lands at the city's airport. The city was a coastal metropolis, filled with beaches, bustling suburbs, parks, theme parks, and businesses.

(The location is heavily inspired by the city of Miami.)

"Welcome to South Town!" Chris said. "Where only the strong survive and where the dreams of the weak are torn apart and left for dead. And the home of our resident Hungry Wolf."

"YES! YES! YES! YES!" Terry happily exclaimed.

"So this is your home, huh?" Tari asked Terry. "Looks great.

"Yep. Grown up here since I was a kid. Well, I pretty much grew up on the streets for a while with my brother. Well, until we were adopted."

"Sounds cool." Joe said. "Think we'll meet your family?"

Terry's cheerful expression seemed to fade a bit after hearing that.

"Well…..my brother is the only family I got left. My dad…..he's dead."

"Oh my God. I'm so sorry."

"It's fine. You didn't know."

"So anyway, what's the challenge this time?" Miu asked impatiently.

"The challenge will commence tonight." Chris explained. "You will all participate in one of the biggest fighting tournaments in the world: The King of Fighters."

"So it's here this year, huh?!" Terry asked, starting to get excited.

"Correctamundo. As you all may know, Terry is a regular participant in KOF. In this tournament, people fight each other and rise through the bracket, forming a team of three fighters and working your way up through the battles. We've been asked to participate in some special exhibition matches before the other fights. All will be explained further tonight."

"So what are we supposed to do until then?" Edward asked.

"Explore South Town to your heart's content." Chris answered. "Go out, and have fun. But meet at the stadium at 7 PM sharp. Terry knows this place better than anyone, so he'll help you out."

"You guys are gonna have a blast." Terry tells them. "There's plenty of great sights and attractions in South Town."

"It's nice to see that Terry is enjoying himself." Tari said. "It's obviously been a while since he's been here, so I'm sure he's ecstatic."

With that, Terry proceeded to show the gang around the city. First stop was the beautiful Sound Beach, with plenty of people out having fun like you would at the beach.

"Hey, look!" A young boy said as he pointed at them. "It's Terry Bogard!"

A group of kids ran up to them and began to hound Terry.

"It's really him!"

"The Hero of South Town!"

"Will you sign my basketball?!"

"Guess someone's pretty popular around here." Tari said.

"Yeah." Terry said while he interacted with the kids. "I try to be a good role model for the kids. Until a while ago, this city was a cesspool of crime and corruption. That is, until I put a stop to all of that."

"No wonder." Susie said. "A lot of people look up to you. You're a role model, a hero, and like the rest of us at the moment, a TV star."

After this, the crew hung out at Dream Amusement Park for a couple of hours. After that, they still had a few hours before the tournament, so they still traveled the city.

"Hey, you guys hungry?" Terry asked. "I know this great place."

"Well, it wouldn't do us good to fight on an empty stomach." Edward said.

"Hey, whatever you have in mind has to be better than the shit Chef serves." Miu quips.

As they walked, Joe stopped in front of a building. He read the sign, saying, "Kyokugenryu Dojo"

"Hey Joe, you alright?" Terry asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Joe answered. "Just gonna check this place out. You guys go on without me."

"Well, have fun."

As the rest of them left to grab some lunch, Joe stepped inside the dojo, his curiosity piqued.

Inside, a small number of students (literally 3), watched as a muscular blonde man in an orange martial arts gi was talking to them.

"Now, I'm going to show you how to-huh?"

Everyone turned to see Glass Joe, just casually watching the lesson.

"Uhh…..bonjour?" Joe said awkwardly.

"Hey, that's Glass Joe!" One of the students said. "From Total Drama!"

The blonde guy quickly recognized Joe from TV, and smirked.

"Heh. So you're one of Terry's friends, huh?"

"Wait, you know Terry?" Joe asked.

"Yep. We've fought a few times in KOF. The name's Ryo Sakazaki. Practitioner of Kyokugenryu Karate, and leader of Team Art of Fighting."

"Oh, so you'll be at the tournament tonight? Looking forward to seeing you there."

"Before you go, what do you say we spar? You've trained with Kiryu and Terry. Let me see what you got."

"Um, sure. If you're feeling lucky."

"I'll make you eat those words, beanpole!"

Joe stands in front of Ryo, and the students watch as Ryo readies his strongest attack.

"Tenchi Haoh Ken!"

Ryo unleashes a strong punch to Joe's chest. This knocks the boxer a few feet away, and leaves a small bruise, much to Ryo's shock.

"Huh. Guess I've gotten more durable with my training."

"What?! But that move leaves my foes stunned!"

"Welp, guess it's my turn to throw a punch." Joe said. "I'll have you know I don't give my punches names."

Joe does the same kind of punch to Ryo, but he's sent flying and crashes through the wall.

"I…think I'm done here." Joe said as he quickly left.

"I guess what I did in Cambodia wasn't an adrenaline thing." Joe said. "Same with King Hippo. I really have gotten stronger. I just didn't realize it. Do I think I could easily take on someone like Kiryu? No. Do I think I could take on the other boxers back home? Probably."

(Pao Pao Cafe)

The crew enters the cafe, designed to be spacious, with a mix of oriental and South American styles, featuring prominently dragon pillars. It had a stage large enough for live entertainment, Capoeira lessons, and late-night street fighting. The place was busy, as many of tonight's teams stopped by to eat and chat with each other before the tournament.

They find an empty table, and everyone but Terry sits down. The Wolf puts down some cash on the table.

"You guys order whatever you want." Terry said. "It's on me today."

"What's the matter?" Edward asked.

"I just remembered there's somewhere I have to be. I'll be back in a bit."

Terry leaves, which left the others a bit confused.

"What was that about?" Waluigi wondered.

"Beats me." Susie grunts. "It's probably something important if he had to go now."

"Ah, a fellow fighter in costume!" A loud voice boomed.

Susie turned around and came face to face with a large man dressed from head to toe in a red T-Rex costume.

"You talkin' to me, pal?" Susie asked.

"Yes!" The dinosaur man beamed. "Surely you're also hear for the KOF tournament?! Then feast your eyes on the fighter from ancient times, the King of Dinosaurs!"

"Uh….yeah, sure pal." Susie answered.

The man in costume walked away back to his team, while Susie's friends laughed at this.

"The guy thought you were wearing a costume!" Waluigi cried.

"Is that guy a furry or some shit?!" Miu adds.

"What a weirdo." Susie growled. "Sometimes, I hate being the one in this group that stands out the most."

"Relax, Susie." Tari said. "You're fine how you are. That guy probably gets unwanted attention by walking around dressed like that."

"I know, but really? He thought I was in costume?! Come on!"

They all laughed at this point, even Susie.

Terry was now seen in a cemetery. He sat in front of a grave, with fresh flowers just recently placed. The name on the headstone read "Jeff Bogard".

"Things have really been going well, dad." Terry said to the grave. "Met some nice people, found this nice woman, and kept getting stronger. And there's a chance I could walk away from it with a million dollars. I'm sure if you were here right now, you'd be proud."

"Heh, I'm sure he already is." A voice behind him remarked.

Terry looks behind him and sees two familiar faces. One was a guy with long blonde hair, wearing a red and white martial arts battle uniform. The other guy had spiked up brown hair, and was only wearing red shorts, a white headband, and bandages wrapped around his arms and legs.

"Andy! Joe!"

Terry runs up to great his brother and friend.

(Author's Note: Since one of the characters in the SNK-verse is also named Joe, we will be calling him Joe while the Joe we've known throughout the story will be referred to as Glass Joe for the remainder of the episode.)

And now, back to the reunion.

"Man, it's so great to see you guys again." Terry said. "Been too long since the whole team has been together."

"You've had quite the journey, haven't you?" Andy remarked. "I've been watching the show. Things have really been crazy, even for that show's standards."

"Yeah, well, you get used to some of it after a while."

"You lucky bastard." Joe said. "First Andy has Mai, and now you with that Aqua chick. When am I gonna find that someone?"

The Bogard brothers laugh jokingly at Joe. The dude was totally jealous.

"So, are you guys in the tournament tonight?" Terry asked. "If so, who'd you get to take my spot?"

"We asked Mary." Joe said. "Honestly, I don't know what they're gonna have you guys do."

"Probably fighting against my fellow competitors." Terry guessed. "But if there's one thing I've learned on this show, it's to expect the unexpected."

(A few hours later…)

At long last, Chris, the interns, and the competitors were at South Town's KOF Stadium. A large, arena-like stadium close to the center of a gridiron football field. A large jumbotron to record the on screen action could be seen in the background. The stands were packed with tens of thousands of spectators.

With the contestants were also the twelve teams competing in this year's KOF Tournament. The teams were as follows (For all you SNK fans)

"Wow, the place is packed." Waluigi marveled. "And these guys are quite the….. colorful cast."

"Hey, glad to see you again, Terry." Kyo said. "Shame you won't be fighting against us. We could totally wreck you."

"Easy there, hotshot." Terry chuckles. "Me and my friends here are no slouches."

"Hmph." Iori scoffed. "I'd easily tear you all to shreds. Especially you, Kusanagi."

"You wanna go, Iori?!" Kyo yelled. "That's fighting words!"

Both of them produce flames from their hands and growl at each other.

"Ignore them." Terry said. "They have a bit of a rivalry."

Yuri comes up to Joe and suddenly slaps him in the face.

"That was for disrespecting my brother!"

"You didn't have to do that." Ryo groaned in embarrassment, while Robert laughed.

"Damn, French press, what'd you do to piss her off?"

"Don't ask." Joe mumbled.

"Gotta admit Chris," Terry said, "this is probably the best challenge yet."

"Not bad, if I do say so myself." Chris said.

"Wait, when do we start?" Susie asked impatiently. "And what are we supposed to do?"

"All of that will apparently be explained after the opening ceremony, which is starting right about….now."

Fireworks fire off into the sky signaling the beginning of the event!

"Ladies and gentlemen!" A voice announced. "It's that time again for another bout of King of Fighters!"

The audience's roars of jubilation were almost deafening.

"Before we get to the main fights, we've got some lovely fights coming up for some special guests today, one of which being South Town resident and KOF regular, Terry Bogard!"

Terry politely waves to the audience.

"But before that, we must introduce this year's sponsor and host to the tournament! Let's bring them out!""

"Huh. Wonder who it is this year." Terry wonders.

A hooded figure guarded by other hooded figures walked out onto the field. The crowd goes silent, until the man in the center throws off the hood, revealing himself to be none other than Geese Howard, dressed in a black business suit.

The audience and Terry gasped with shock at this reveal.

"Okay, why is everyone so shocked?" Chris asked.

"Geese?!" Terry said angrily. His hands shook as he clenched them into fists.

"Umm…..who?" Tari asked.

"Geese Howard!" Terry said. "A guy I never wanted to see again!"

"Why?"

A crime Lord who at one point had all of South Town in his back pocket! And….. the man who killed my father!"

They all gasped at this.

"I had no idea….." Miu muttered.

"So that's the guy Gideon mentioned?" Susie asked.

"So that's the bad guy we gotta beat up this time?" Theo assumed.

"I'm already getting a Lucks vibe from this guy." Tari said worriedly.

"This can't be good!" Edward said.

The other two guys take off their hoods, revealing a guy in a red and white striped bandanna and blue jacket wielding a red bo-staff, while the other was a large, blonde man wearing a white fur coat and psychotic grin.

"So who're his goons?" Susie asked as she drew her ax.

"Billy Kane and Ryuji Yamazaki." Terry said. "Billy's his personal lapdog while Yamazaki is a yakuza for hire."

"Shall we kick their asses?"

"Hold on." Edward said. "Let's see what happens."

A microphone drops down in front of Geese, who takes it with no hesitation. He quickly sees Terry and flashes an evil grin.

"You're all probably wondering why I'm here today." Geese said to everyone. "And why am I hosting the tournament?"

The crime lord chuckles.

"It's simple, really. Today, I wanted to be the host of…...the end of the world!"

Suddenly, the sky turns blood red. The sky is flooded with an armada of small flying airships, with Gjira's ship, the Destroyah, at the front of this.

Everyone in the stadium watched in shocked silence as the force approached South Town. Some of the ships even began dropping bombs down on the city. Gjira's soldiers deployed from the small ships, and the army began to attack the civilians of the city.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" Gjira's voice boomed from his ship. "Everyone across the multiverse! The day of the end of it all has arrived!"

"Oh shit, it's Gjira!" Miu panicked.

The audience began to scream and exited the arena in mass hysteria, as well as most of the tournament participants. Chris and the contestants remained, watching the chaos unfold.

Geese broke the silence. "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue, Bogard? I'm surprised you all are speechless. I heard through the grapevine you're a lively bunch. I don't care if I die too, it's gonna be fun having my revenge as Gjira's war has begun."

Terry was getting more and more angry, ready to lash out at Geese. Everyone could feel his rage.

"Terry, calm down." Glass Joe said with concern. "Remember what happened last time you acted recklessly out of your emotions? It got you killed!"

"Don't care!" Terry snapped. "This bastard is gonna pay! POWER WAVE!"

Terry punched the ground, sending a ki projectile across the ground barreling towards Geese.

Suddenly, Zandrill teleports in front of Geese and deflects the attack with a black energy shield.

"Zandrill!" Tari yelled.

"Feels like it hasn't been so long since we last met." Zandrill said. "I'm afraid I can't let you do that to Mr. Howard here."

"We only saw you a couple days ago, you fucking dildo!" Miu snapped.

Zandrill glares at Miu, while the inventor cowers back.

"H-hey….take it easy, will you?" She said meekly.

"Just as I thought. All bark and no bite. You're a little foul mouth, aren't you?"

"This has all gotta be a joke, right?" Chris said worriedly.

"Dude, try to keep up." Susie sighed. "He's one of the bad guys."

"So…..it's finally the day, huh?" Edward asked grimly.

"Correct." Zandrill answered. "Look at the sky."

Up in the sky, a part of it began to crack, like an eggshell.

"It can't be…" Edward gasped. "We're too late?!"

"The seal is broken." Zandrill states. "The Scarlet King is trying to break into the mortal realm. And it won't be long before he does so. Should your little SCP friend there reach him in time, you can probably seal him away again."

"And why are you telling us that?!"

"Hmph. I'm just getting your hopes up. Only for that to fall short and watch you all…. fail."

Zandrill fires out a dark energy ball and everyone scatters to dodge it.

"Hey, watch it pal!" Chris said. "You mess me up, and you're gonna have one heck of a lawsuit on your hands!"

"Clearly, you're not taking me seriously." Zandrill retorts. "Perhaps I'll kill you first as an example."

Zandrill fires a bigger energy ball towards the host, and as Chris braces himself….

….the attack was blocked by a man wielding two swords. He slices through the attack cleanly.

Everyone stared slack jawed at his presence. "Geralt?!" Susie asked. "What are you doing here?!"

The Witcher looked back at his friends and gave one of his rare smiles. "Sorry for being a little late. He said. "I just had to round up the cavalry."

Everyone looked up to see their fellow friends and former competitors flying down (or with assistance mostly due to Tatsumaki's psychic powers), to where everyone else was.

"Well, whaddya know?" Edward said.

Every contestant from Infinite 1 and 2 had finally shown up.

"You guys know it ain't a party without us!" Spinel said.

"Not the same unless the gang's all here." Deadpool added.

"Don't forget about us, pal." Yami said.

We see that even the contestants from Bon Voyage were also there as well.

"Hope we ain't late." Lobo said as he happily gripped his chain.

"Sorry!" Zach said as he ran up to them, out of breath. "Picked up a friend on the way here!"

Dimitri walks out, quiet and stoic.

"Dimitri?!" Both Edward and Bernadetta exclaimed.

"A friend of yours, Bern?" Bunnie asked the recluse.

"N-not exactly." She stuttered. "We just went to the same academy."

"It's been a while, Edward." Dimitri said. "I wish we could've met again under different circumstances. It's been a long journey for me. I've uncovered troubling secrets, and been dealing with those responsible for…well, you know. "

"Wait...how did you all know to show up here?" Waluigi asked.

"Rick gave us a heads up." Sora said. "We've been getting ourselves trained and ready for this."

"Speaking of Rick…" Edward said as he didn't see him. "Where is he? And where's Giovanni?"

"Right here, runt." Rick said as he walked up to them. "Cant have an apocalypse without me."

"About that….." Deadpool said hesitantly. "Me and them portaled onto his ship. Rick and I got off of there to help rally everyone. Giovanni stayed to fight Gjira."

"So he's still up there?!"

"You're right, young man." Zandrill answered. "And it's time for the stage to be set."

Gjira's ship was underneath the part of the sky where the Scarlet King tried to break free. Suddenly, the ship began to morph into a different shape. It got longer, with the bottom part slamming into the ground. The top morphed into a large, circular, flat yet rocky landscape, measuring a mile radius. It was now a large tower complete with a large battlefield at the top

Gjira himself emerged atop the platform. He could see Edward and everyone else in the distance.

"Well, what are you waiting for?!" Gjira's voice boomed. "Do you not see the chaos unfolding before you?! Get your butt up here and try to stop me, Elric! Those of you who can make it up here will earn the right to fight me. But you better hurry, as He's almost here!"

"I will also be waiting for you up there, boy." Zandrill sneered. "His elite commanders also wait inside the tower."

"And come by my tower if you hope to best me, Bogard." Geese warned. "That is, if you make it up there. I'll be waiting to send you to see your father!"

Zandrill teleported himself, Geese, and his cronies out of the arena.

"Guys….I'm sorry about all of this." Edward said. "It's my fault we're stuck in this situation."

"Don't talk like that, Ed!" Wendy said. "This would have happened whether you were involved or not!"

"Wendy is right." Erza said. "All you can do is stop it. Rumor has it that you are the one with the best chance at beating him."

"So if you think for one second that we blame you for this, you're a clown." Edgeworth said.

"And if you think you're sorry, take it from me, kid." Rick said. "I played into your fears, and i ended up in Gjira's clutches. He was forcing me to try and break the seal. So if anyone should be apologizing, it's me."

"Whoa…never expected Rick to be the kind of guy to ever apologize for something." Theo said.

This helped Ed feel a bit better, but he couldn't rest on his laurels now.

"I need to get up there right now!" Edward said.

Charlie shook her head. "Ed, we need to quickly come up with a game plan."

"Fuck a plan." Harley dismissed. "You get up there and kick his ass into the next century."

"Heh." DIO chuckled. "Your idea is about as good as your brain is small."

"You wanna eat those words, pal?!"

"Guys!" Katakuri yelled. "If we keep arguing, things are gonna get more dire for everyone!"

"Oh?" DIO questioned. "And I suppose you have a plan, pelican eel?"

"Actually, I do. Everyone listen to me carefully."

They all listen as Katakuri lays out the plan.

"We're gonna need a group to get to Gjira and his tower, with Edward included. Next, we'll need a small group to get to Geese Tower and take him down."

"I nominate myself to lead that charge." Terry interrupted.

"And lastly, everyone else will stay down here to help the civilians and stop Gjira's soldiers."

"Can I choose none of the above?!" Both Aqua and Bernadetta cried.

"Don't worry, Aqua." Terry reassured. "Just come with me. I got your back."

"We need everyone, Bernie." Pit said to her. " I know full well you're strong. You easily manhandled a Cipher Pol agent."

"I think you better sit this out, pal." Mae said to Zach. "I mean, I'm probably out of my league here, but you're more…"

"I'm no fighter. Just a reporter." Zach said. "I know my role. I just gotta do what I do best. I hope we get through this alive, because this is gonna be one heck of a story."

"So…who's coming with me?" Edward asked.

"I'll go." Tari said. "I'm not letting you go alone. Even if I stand no chance, I'll be by your side."

"I'll go as well." Dimitri said sternly. "I must settle the score with Thales…..and Gjira."

"I'll help you too." Wendy said.

"I'll back you up, Wendy." Erza says. "Let me help.

"You know I got your back, Ed." Deadpool said.

"I'll help fight his officers." Katakuri said. Geralt and Kiryu nod in agreement, as they'd go too. "They invaded my home, and I forgot to give them their parting gift."

Miu smirks. "Heh. Those fucknuts messed with the wrong inventor, so count me in."

"Let me take a crack at him." Ryu said as he combs his ultra pompadour. "You up for it, Bernie?"

"Ugh….." Bernadetta groaned. "Fine. Only because you asked."

"And you're gonna do it because I asked!" Yami spat, to which Bernie whimpers. "Help your fellow student out, why don't ya!"

"And let me go too." DIO commanded. "If anyone's gonna bring the world to ruin, it's me. Let's see how this monster compares to a God."

"

"Alright, I think that's enough people." Alphonse said.

"Good enough for me!" Terry said as he ran off. "Time to cook some geese!"

"Terry, you left me behind!" Aqua cried as she ran after him.

Iida sighed. "Those two are gonna get themselves killed. Susie, let's give them backup."

Susie smiles as she pulls out ol' reliable. "Right behind ya, nerd."

The two of them follow after Aqua and Terry.

"Everyone else, you know your job!" Edward told them. "Go help the civilians and take down any of Gjira's men!"

The rest of the cast leaves the stadium, but Alphonse, Chris, and Spinel remained.

"What are you guys still doing here?!" Kiryu asked. "Go help the others!"

"We're gonna help you get to Gjira quickly." Spinel said.

"I already don't like the sound of that…." Geralt groaned.

(A few moments later….)

Alphonse had a hold of Spinel's legs while Deadpool had her arms. They stretched her to use her as a slingshot. Their goal: to fly everyone to Gjira in time.

"Is this really the best idea?" Kiryu asked worriedly. He, Katakuri, and Geralt were up first to be launched.

"We don't have a lot of time, Kiryu." Edward reminded him. He looks back at the sky. A large red arm was starting to break out from the portal. The Scarlet King was getting closer to breaking free.

"Better clench your cheeks for this one guys." Deadpool says.

They pull Spinel back, and let go. The three of them scream as they fly toward the tower.

"Is it too late to back out?!" Bernadetta cried.

"I think I'm with you on this one!" Miu also panicked.

"It's do or die time." Tari said. "We can't afford to back down."

"We'll just angle her a bit so you guys can land on the top." Chris informs.

The group gets in front of Spinel, and brace themselves.

"Well, guys." Edward said. "See you all up there."

(Geese Tower)

Terry and Aqua both run through the city, defeating any soldiers in the way. (Well, Terry did, at least.) They finally make it to the entrance of the building, but Billy and Yamazaki block the way.

"Sorry, mates." Billy said as he draws his his staff. "But you're gonna have to get through us to get to the boss."

Yamazaki licks his lips with anticipation. "I'm gonna have fun tearing you little shits limb from limb!"

"We don't have time for you clowns!" Aqua snapped. "We've got an…appointment with the boss."

"Real funny, missy." Billy chuckled. "You're a laugh riot. Too bad we're gonna beat you so bad you'll be lucky to even talk afterwards."

"Red Buster!

"Recipro Air Slasher!"

Geese's henchmen are caught off guard as projectiles from Susie and Iida fly directly into their faces.

Terry and Aqua turn around to see their fellow friends were responsible.

"Tha-"

"No time for thanks!" Susie said. "Go fight Geese! We'll handle these guys!"

"Get going!" Iida ordered.

Terry nods, and they run into the building as the villains get back up.

"You're gonna pay for that!" Yamazaki growled. "In blood!"

Iida smirks as his calf engines roar.

"Bring it on!"

Terry and Aqua run through the floors of the building, until they reach the top room. The room was large, with an ornate Japanese design, perfect for a battle.

Geese stood there, watching the chaos from his balcony, and dressed in his battle attire.

"Isn't it wonderful?" Geese gloats. "Once again, you're going to lose everything and everyone you care about."

"If you think you're gonna win, you're delusional." Aqua spat. "Terry's beaten you before! He can do it again!"

"But you see...I've gotten stronger too."

Aqua began to get a bit nervous. "Um, I'm just gonna cheer from the sidelines, if that's okay."

"Fine by me." Terry said as he took a fighting stance. "Just be ready to treat any injuries once this is over."

"How hopeful." Geese said. "You really think you'll emerge victorious. You're pitiful, just like your father.

"I'll never forgive you!" Terry growled. "And now you've sunk low enough to work with Gjira?! You're toast!"

"Bring it on, you pin headed son of an ice cream maker!"

The two run at each other, and fists clash.

Gjira's tower was now divided into three large sections, with the exception of the rooftop. Kiryu, Katakuri, and Geralt ran up the floors to find Gjira's top officers.

Kiryu runs inside the first floor. It was a large, humid, swampy jungle landscape.

"Alright, wherever you are, show yourself!" Kiryu yelled.

Kogus sat on top of a tree, eating bananas as he saw Kiryu run inside. He smiles and grabs the stolen hero relic, Freikugel.

He crashes down in front of Kiryu, towering over top of him. (He was at least ten feet taller than him.

"Welcome to my domain, puny human!" Kogus said. "You feeling gutsy?! Then show me how strong you are! Because we know it's not better than me!"

Kiryu takes a deep breath, and throws off his blazer.

"Then you better brace yourself, you damn, dirty ape!"

Kogus transforms into his hybrid King Kong form, and swings the axe down. Kiryu swiftly dodges by leaping into the air, and punching Kogus square in the face. This sends the ape toppling back a few feet.

"That hurt, you jerk!" Kogus whined.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Kiryu said sarcastically. "Most people go down more easily, so you should feel proud. Looks like next time I'll put more oomph into it."

Kogus growls and begins to swing his weapon in a mindless fury. This made things harder for Kiryu, as he had to play on the defensive and evade. Unfortunately, he takes a swing from the axe and is sent hitting a wall.

"Tch…..looks like I'm really gonna have to go all out for this one."

(Second Floor)

Katakuri enters the second floor, and is immediately sensing his surroundings. The room was dimly lit, with silk and cobwebs strewn around the ceiling and corners.

"I can sense you're in here, bug!" Katakuri said. "Come on out and fight me!"

In front of him, a trail of candles suddenly illuminates. We see Sura, sitting on her own little throne, with a group of both men and women at her sides bowing to her.

"All hail the beautiful Moth Queen!" They chant in unison. "She is our queen!"

"This is ludicrous…" Katakuri groaned.

Sura notices Katakuri, and just laughs.

"Sururururururu! You're that ugly fanged fiend that got in our way back in Totto Land! I command you to get on your knees and yield before my beauty!"

"In case you forgot, that was my home you invaded!" Katakuri retorts. "Your group put not only my friends in danger, but my family as well. And when you mess with my family…you answer to me!"

"Big talk from a butter-face." Sura drawls. She begins to reach for the bow Failnaught, strapped to her back. "I'm bored of you!"

Katakuri's eyes glow red as he foresees an incoming attack. Sura fires a supercharged arrow as Katakuri swiftly dodges.

"W-what?!"

She fires more arrows, but Katakuri morphs his body's shape to give the impression the arrows are passing right through his body.

"Hey, that's not fair!" Sura yelled, stomping her foot like a child throwing a tantrum. "Why are you so good at dodging?!"

"I can see the future. And if you don't back down now, your future is gonna look grim, you brat."

"Future sight?! Not even Gjira has that! It's not fair if only the enemy has an unfair advantage! It's only fair if i do and no one else!"

Katakuri takes Mogura out of his body. "Quite the double standard, you overgrown pest!"

"Gjira is all powerful! I'm allowed to be as cruel and unfair as I want with him backing us!"

She turns into her full Mothra form, and flies into the air. She obliterates the floor with an energy beam from her antennae, killing her followers. Katakuri quickly jumped to higher ground to avoid the blast

"They won't live after seeing my blunder!" She roars. "You too will be-"

"Mochi Elephant Gun!"

Sura is interrupted with a giant, Haki'd up punch to the face.

"You-you-you…!"

"I told DIO this before, but you talk too much!" Katakuri said smugly.

(Third Floor)

Geralt was already engaged in a deadly duel with Ghido. Geralt's steel and silver swords clash with the stolen Sword of the Creator.

"The famous monster slayer." Ghido states. "Killing you will be a nice feather in my cap."

Geralt casts a magic sign and knocks Ghido back with a telekinetic blast with his Aard spell.

"So...you know more than just swordplay." Ghido winced. "Well, contrary to belief, its not my forte either."

Ghido transforms fully into his King Ghidora form. A massive, three headed dragon towers over the Witcher.

"I've faced monsters bigger than you." Geralt told him. "So you don't scare me."

Ghido fires a plasma blast out of his heads, and Geralt shields it with a magic barrier.

"Test your mettle, Witcher!" Ghido orders. "It's been too long since i had a good figh-urgh!"

Ghido recoiled in a sudden sharp pain coursing through his body.

A three way split screen is shown as Kogus and Sura also stop in the middle of their fights, experiencing the same pain.

Their enemies stop in confusion.

"What the hell's going on?" Kiryu wondered.

"Why...me…..?" Sura groaned.

"I will….. gladly die for master Gjira." Ghido cried.

They all three began to transform as they endured a painful mutation. Their heroes relics have dark energy emerge from them and engulf their bodies. They cry out in utter agony, losing their minds.

Once it's finished, they all still appear to be in their kaiju forms, but are covered in black scales, claws, spikes, faces contorted, not even resembling a person or animal.

Lacking a crest and wielding a Hero Relic caused them to transform into Demonic Beasts. Mindless, rampaging monsters that are uncontrollable. Even they don't know what they're doing.

"Shit." Katakuri, Geralt, and Kiryu said.

The monsters that were once Gjira's children then proceed to rampage and pummel the hell out of them.

(Rooftop Battlefield)

We see the group that Spinel sent flying land rather painfully at the top of the tower.

"Remind me to kick their asses later." Miu groaned as they got up.

"Couldn't be helped." Erza said. "We needed to get here as quickly as possible."

This made Edward perk up. He looked ahead, and saw Gjira, Zandrill, and Thales in front of the emerging Scarlet King. They were paying attention to this, and didn't realize they had arrived.

"Finally, after all this time, I will have the battle I so dearly crave!" Gjira said triumphantly.

Ed quickly grabs Tickles and runs up to the portal.

"Hey, Gjira!" Ed called out.

They all turned around, to see Ed with SCP 999 in tow.

"So…..they made it up here?" Zandrill said.

"So that's him?" Thales said.

"Elric!" Gjira growled. "And you brought him?!"

Gjira remembered 999, and growing a bit fond of the little during his time incarcerated by the Foundation.

"Unfortunately for you, you're too late." Gjira states. "The Scarlet King is breaking free as we speak."

Indeed, for the top half of his body was already emerging from his portal. His skin resembled that of a burnt corpse, his hands were gnarled claws, and possessed two great antlers behind his head and multiple eyes on his face.

"That's utterly disturbing…" Wendy gasped.

"Do you know the story?" Gjira asks. "The Scarlet King was one of many gods born with the planting of the Tree of Knowledge, called Khahrahk at the time. He was the smallest of his siblings, but the only one aware, and it brought him great pain. He decided that existence itself is painful and that he'd have no part in it, as well as destroying existence itself. He started by consuming his siblings and growing stronger on their essence. He vowed to destroy the Tree, the Creator and Creation, and consumed or subjugated all the other gods, naming himself "King of the Darkness Below". He declared war on creation itself, one which will not end until the very end of everything.

"He had seven children with seven different brides. And that creature right there…" he points to Tickles. "was the seventh and final child. He was destined to overthrow the Scarlet King. Not by force, but through love and laughter that can brighten the darkest of hearts."

"And that's what he's here to do!" Edward said as he held tickles up, Lion King style.

The Scarlet King stopped moving, as his head filled with voices. The voices coming from 999's warped mind. His head was filled with countless voices which just kept laughing and laughing and sometimes weeping.

"Is it working?" Miu wondered. The rest of them watched in fascination as the Scarlet King was being overcome with joy.

"Just keep reading." Deadpool said.

"Why aren't you stopping him, Gjira?!" Zandrill angrily asked.

"I would not dare lay a finger on that creature." Gjira answered. "I rather enjoyed the time spent with him."

"But those two together can become the-"

"SILENCE! ANOTHER WORD OUT OF YOU AND I WILL SEND YOU STRAIGHT TO HELL!"

The Scarlet King grew silent. Then it laughed uncontrollably as he and the portal dissipated in a blast of Holy light.

Edward sighed with relief. "That's one problem dealt with. You're getting so much candy if we survive all of this."

Gjira watched with utter disappointment, as his one chance for a glorious death, disappeared. He was devastated.

"My dream…my curse…I knew it was too good to be true."

"Your plan…of many years has failed." Zandrill adds. "What shall you do now?"

Gjira sighs as he thinks it over. "Guess it's time to go back to usual business. I'll kill them, destroy this planet, and be on my way."

The rest of the group ran up to Edward, standing at his side's like his posse.

"We got your back, Edward!" Wendy said with determination.

Dimitri looked over at Thales. "So it was you?! The one responsible for the Tragedy of Duscur?!"

"Wait...that was him?!" Bernadetta cried.

Prince Dimitri." Thales said with disdain. "Never thought you'd show your face here. Yes, I orchestrated the whole thing. Gjira was just the hired muscle that sent Lambert and the other royals to an early grave. Us Agarthans will wipe out humans and Nabateans, and have dominion over the surface world as we rightly deserve."

"You bastard!" Dimitri growled. He gripped his lance tightly. "That's why I left the Academy and did some searching of my own. I discovered secrets of coups from the western lords, betrayals, and eliminated any of your race that got in my way. Once I'm through with you, I can gladly die happy."

Thales smirked. "Too bad you stand no chance against the three of us."

"Bring it on, you roach!" Ryu said as he took out his wooden sword. Tokageroh appears behind him and cackled wickedly.

"We'll smoke your asses!" Miu said as scrap metal floated above her.

Tari took out a tome and a rifle. (Thank you magic satchel). "We've come this far. We won't lose. Not now, not ever again."

As everyone on both sides readied their weapons, Edward was slowly and silently walking up to the villains. They talked to each other, not noticing the walking.

"Oi, Zandrill." Gjira said. "Do you know what this brat said to me when we first fought? That he'd kick my ass. How laughable."

"He's surely an impertinent brat." Zandrill adds. "Too bad everything they've known will end right here and now. Do you hear that, Fullmetal?"

He then notices that Edward walked right past them.

"Huh?!"

Gjira looks back, as he sees Ed continue to walk, ignoring them.

"Hey, brat. Say again who's ass you were gonna kick…..right in front of our faces."

Edward stopped walking, and looked down in front of him. He saw Giovanni, defeated and beaten to a near bloody pulp.

Giovanni's eyes flutter open weakly as he sees Edward. Ed kneels down to talk to him.

"Are you alright, boss?" Ed said worriedly, yet seriously. "I'm sorry it took me so long."

Giovanni breathes weakly, being at death's door.

"Fu…...Fullmetal?"

He clutches Ed's arm, and begins to cry.

"I feel ashamed!" He cried. "Too ashamed to face you and Bluejay right now! I tried to help you, and I failed! I'm not fit to be your boss! Or your friend!"

Giovanni coughs up a lot of blood.

"Boss! Hang in there! We'll have Mercy patch you up!"

"No...don't bother healing me. Or reviving me. I want to die. Better I die fighting for my beliefs, than live to never forgive myself!"

"No! I promised I wouldn't lose anyone!" Ed began to tear up, hearing his friend want to die. "Don't say any of that! I could never hate you! You're my friend! And you fought like a true friend! I won't let you die!""

"Please! For my final act as boss, grant me this one wish! Let me go out on my own terms!"

He pauses for a moment, and says one more thing.

"But promise me…you'll win this fight."

Edward wipes away his tears, and nods.

"Of course I will!" He said. "You'll always be my friend! I swear on my life I'll win for you!"

Giovanni cried again, but it was tears of happiness.

Gjira stomps behind Edward, his club aimed above them.

"Hey, brat!"

Ed's friends watch in concern as Gjira readied an attack.

"Ed, watch out!" Tari exclaimed.

Giovanni lets go of Edward, as the cold hand of death now overtook him. He smiles as he says his last words.

"Fullmetal….thank you."

"DIO!" Ed called out. "Move his body!"

DIO quickly stops time, as Gjira slams his club down. Giovanni's corpse seemingly teleports to those who saw it, and Edward leaps up into the air, with Tickles on his shoulder.

"What the hell is going on up there?!" Kiryu wondered as the tower began to shake violently.

Edward quickly transforms into the Hero of Happiness, and stretches back his arm, readying a large, orange, goopy flaming fist for Gjira.

In this brief moment, Edward remembered everything that led up to this point. What he was fighting for, and the journey to get here.

"I'm curious to see what else this book talks about. Since when has anyone ever taken things that Rick has said seriously?"

"I've just had this pit in my stomach since New York. That Sura character, the dream I had the other day, I just can't get any of it out of my head. Why do I feel it's all connected in some way?"

"Oh, we did. I heard she has an eating disorder, and things will get ugly if she doesn't get the sweets she wants."

"I, Giovanni Potage, an up and coming villain, have come to steal the precious treasures of Rapture! Tremble before me!"

"Ed…. It should have been you that died instead of us. Why did you let him kill us all?!"

"I know that message is going to kill you inside. But I'm doing what's best for everyone."

"He's caused more damage to me than I have to his forces. I'm pretty much dead at this point."

"IS THIS SOME KIND OF TWISTED JOKE?!"

"Who's ass was it you were going to kick? You damned brat."

"You've got us now. You don't have to fight alone ever again. We're gonna stop Gjira…... together."

"You and I are now one!"

"PROMISE YOU'LL KICK GJIRA'S ASS FOR US, ALRIGHT?!"

"I know you have quite a few burdens you carry as you carry out your journey, but….. will you also carry the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus on your back?"

"But from what Gjira told Zandrill, it's pretty clear…everything is close to coming to an end."

"I want to save us all!"

With this conviction, the fist comes crashing down like a meteor. Gjira watches, unimpressed, until the fist hits his face and slams him to the ground.

"Power of Joy: Hand of Karma!"

The punch pushed everyone back from the force of it. Everyone was stunned as Edward hit Gjira.

Gjira gets back up, and Zandrill rants on in shock.

"Gjira! How could you let this brat knock you down like that!"

Gjira wasn't listening. That punch really hurt.

Wait…..

"That…..hurt."

He felt where he got clocked, and noticed a bit of blood on his hand.

Blood! Actual blood!

He watches Edward drop back down in front of his friends.

"I'm Edward Elric!" He declared. "The Fullmetal Alchemist! But right now, I'm the Hero of Happiness! You wanna dance, Gjira?! Then let's tango!"

Down below, we see Waluigi and Glass Joe fighting Gjira's soldiers back to back. Waluigi whacked them away with his tennis racket, while Joe just punched them all away.

They look up and see the large explosion from the punch Edward just threw at Gjira.

"What the heck is going on up there?!" Waluigi wondered.

Glass Joe just smiles. "I think the odds are swerving in our favor, my friend. Gjira's about to learn his place!"

Another monster soldier runs up behind joe, but is knocked out by a coconut shell, which came from Theo.

"Nice shot, kid." Waluigi remarked.

"I just hope they're okay up there." Theo said.

(Rooftop Battlefield)

"You miserable little brat!" Thales spat. "You're still going on and on about how you'll win?! Don't make me laugh!"

"Your punch…" Gjira said solemnly. "It actually damaged me. You've gotten stronger since I destroyed you at Site 19. So….. it must be true."

Gjira gives a real hearty laugh.

"Zillalalalala! So it's true! I've finally encountered the Hero of Happiness! After all of these millennia! Seems this trip wasn't a total bust!

"So that's the power you learned from that blob?" DIO said.

"Hey, maybe we actually have a shot at not dying!" Bernadetta said hopefully.

"It means now we can hurt this guy, right?" Wendy asked.

Edward nods, confirming her hope.

"Fucking sweet!" Miu said.

"Elric…." Gjira said as he grabbed his club. "Thank you for giving my life a new purpose. RAGNA-POCALYPSE!"

He swings his club horizontally, but Edward leaps at him, and puts his hands together and hits the club with his palms.

"Power of Joy: Break Down!"

Using his new powers and his alchemy, he completely causes the club to shatter into pieces. He then throws a punch to the face that staggers Gjira a bit

"Not bad, kid." Gjira praised. "But I'm far from finished!"

Ed gets ready for another attack, but DIO pulls him aside. Their fusion quickly shut off from this.

"What's the big idea?!" Ed complained.

"I'll let it slide this once, runt!" DIO growled. "But never order me around like you just did ever again! I'm not your servant!"

"Don't call me a runt, you asshole!"

Dimitri walks up to him and interrupts the arguing.

"You did a good job." He said to DIO. "As also being one of Fullmetal's subordinates, your powers are incredible."

"Don't call me his subordinate, Mr. Prince!" DIO snapped. "I, DIO, answer to no one!"

Zandrill's brow furrowed with irritation. "This is getting ridiculous! Thales, let's wipe them out!"

The both of them fire out black energy balls, but Dimitri is fast on the reaction! He runs in with Areadbhar, cutting through the Black Holes and dark magic.

"His strength!" Zandrill gasped. "No regular human could do that!"

Dimitri keeps running, now focusing on Thales.

"Suffer the wrath of Blaiddyd, you monster!" Dimitri roared. "You're mine!"

Thales quickly makes a dark energy shield, but Dimitri's raw strength breaks it easily, and he impales Thales in the chest.

Thales's body slumps down as he pulls Areadbhar out of him. He takes a moment to speak some words.

"Father…Glenn…everyone….. I did it. Hopefully you all can rest in peace now. But I'm not done here. Not until Gjira is taken down once and for all."

"Good job, D." Edward congratulated. "That's one less threat to deal with."

"Step back, Zandrill." Gjira ordered. "I wanna see what these brats can do."

Zandrill huffed as he complied. "Again? You just can't help yourself, can you?"

Bernadetta, Erza, and Ryu run up to Gjira and prepare their attacks. Ryu has Tokageroh in his sword flaring with spirit energy, while Bernadetta readies some explosive arrows. Erza requips into her Heaven's Wheel Armor, and has her swords aimed at Gjira

Gjira is hit in the face with a detonating arrow, and hit with a sword slashes.

"Take this, you monster!"

"Hell Dragon Scarlet Lizard!"

"Pentagram Sword!"

DIO brings out his Stand, The World, ans unleashes a barrage of blows against Gjira's stomach.

"MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA!"

Gjira recoiled in pain, but quickly laughed it off.

"Zillalalala! Not bad, for greenhorns."

Tari takes her rifle and uses her Meta Runner vision to aim a perfect shot at Gjira's head. Quickly, she then takes out a tome and hits him with a beam of lightning.

"Thoron!"

Miu, Deadpool, Edward, Dimitri, and Wendy were up to bat next. Miu gathers all the metal together she could muster, and creates a giant scrap metal mech that towered over Gjira.

"This is the power of the Ultimate Inventor!"

Wendy breathes in a lot of air, and transforms into her Dragon Force form.

Dimitri's lance flared with flames as the blue visage of a roaring lion appeared above him.

Edward transformed back into the Hero of Happiness, and took a fighting stance in the air.

Ryu's spirit energy turned into an eight headed snake behind him.

"Oversoul! Yamata no Orochi Go!"

Deadpool's got his katana ready to go.

Gjira smiles at all these strong opponents facing him.

"Yes! They're like monsters!" Come at me!"

"Spirit of the River!"

"Sky Dragon's Wave Wind!"

"Paraselene!"

"Techno Clap!"

"Maximum Effort, dumbass!"

Giant metal fists punch him from both sides, serpent heads attack him, he's assaulted with weaponized wind, and Edward enlarges his malleable orange fists, coated in orange fire.

"Power of Joy! Karmic Barrage!"

He throws a flurry of punches at Gjira, which greatly hurts him. He puts his claws in front of him to block the blows, but it was still inflicting lots of pain.

Miu goes for a double fisted hammer and smashes Gjira into the ground.

For a moment, things are silent.

"Is it over?" DIO asked.

"No." Ed answered. "It can't be that easy."

The sky turns dark as storm clouds thunder above them. Zandrill laughs as he floats in the air, preparing an attack.

"Oh shit. That ain't good." Deadpool said.

"If you think you've won, then you're all dumber than you look!" Zandrill taunted.

The rubble breaks apart as Gjira emerges, transformed into his Godzilla form. He and Zandrill are side by side as they glare down at everyone.

"Zillalalala!" Gjira laughed. "I'm having the time of my life! It'd almost be a shame to kill all of you, but you left me no choice! Once you're all dead, we'll take every resource this planet has! And those that survive will work under me as we continue to ransack the universe! Whoever wins this fight…..... earns the title of the strongest!"

"He's even bigger than I remember!" Miu gasped.

"We really are up against a force of nature, huh?!" Wendy remarked. But she wasn't scared. She sucks in air. "Sky Dragon's-"

She's interrupted as Zandrill attacks her with a large Black Hole attack shaped like lightning. She's left smoldering as she collapses to the ground.

"Wendy!" Edward and Erza cried.

"One little brat down." Zandrill said triumphantly.

Black Hole lightning bolts thunder and crackles across the sky as he tries to strike them down.

Gjira opens up his mouth as he charges up an attack.

"Maser Cannon!"

Gjira fires a powerful hyper beam of radiation, but Tari leaps in front of them and uses a thunder spell to split the attack in two.

"Thanks for the save!" Edward said. He throws out more devastating punches against Gjira.

Zandrill focuses his attention on the other allies, and sends a Black Hole ball at Bernadetta.

She flinched as she prepared to get hit, but Ryu quickly stepped in and dissipated the attack with his sword.

"You alright, little lady?" Ryu said as he winked at Bernie. She smiled at his heroic save.

"How did you manage to do that?!" Zandrill asked. "What's your power?!"

"I'm a shaman, you dope." Ryu answered. "I use my spirit ally to fight punks like you!"

"Ghosts?!" Zandrill gasped. "No! It shouldn't be possible for one of you to possess spirits. A power that even challenges my race."

"Oh, really? Then let me finish you off right here and now!"

Ryu's sword transforms, taking the shape of a large sushi knife, with Tokageroh's headgear visible on the hilt, and purple shoulder armor over his arm and purple battle skirt on his leg.

"Oversoul: Sushi Knife of Susanoo!"

Zandrill was stunned, but made a larger ball, Spirit Bomb style, and sends it crashing down at him.

Ryu jumps and slices through the ball like a hot knife (get it?) through butter. Once he's in front of Zandrill, he unleashes one more attack.

"Ultra Sabaki!"

He slashes vertically and then several times horizontally all in the blink of an eye like it was cutting a filet into sashimi. Zandrill's eyes go white as he drops unconscious.

"There's no way you went down that easily, Zandrill!" Gjira said as he and Edward exchanged blows. "He's up to somethi-OOF!"

"Better pay attention you oversized lizard!" Edward said.

Ryu then sits down, propped up against a rock as he is exhausted.

"You were incredible!" Bernadetta said as she ran up to him. "Are you okay?!"

"I'll live, Bernie." Ryu said. "I put all my energy into that one. I'm completely spent. I'm dropping out."

"Thank you for saving me. I think I shouldn't have to worry about leaving my room if I've got someone like you protecting me."

She gives him a kiss on the cheek, to which the shaman blushes as he passes out.

"Smooth, lover boy." Tokageroh jokes.

"Ugh, gag me." DIO said at the sight of this.

Edward gets ready for another punch, but all of a sudden, he and Tickles separate and drop to the ground.

"Ed!" Tari said. "What's wrong?!"

"We...used a bit too much energy." Edward said exhaustively. "You guys think you could cover for me for a couple of minutes? I need to get my…. second wind."

Tari nods, but knows without Edward, they wouldn't pack as much of a punch.

"Don't worry, you guys!" Miu said. "I'll hold him off!"

She goes to grab him, but Gjira's claws tear into her mech. Miu falls out, but Gjira swings his tail and slams her into the ground.

Erza switches to her Armadura Fairy Armor, and points her swords at Gjira.

"Photon Slicer!"

She shoots a beam from her swords at Gjira, but he swats it away with his claws.

He goes to punch her, but she switches to her Adamantine Armor for defense. Gjira's punch is strong enough to crush through the nearly indestructible armor, and smash her to the ground.

"Okay, now I think we have a problem." DIO said sarcastically.

"Let's finish you off, then." Gjira says he stomps towards Edward. "It's been fun, brat!"

Tari and Deadpool watch helplessly as he goes to finish him off. Gjira transforms again, looking closer to his base form but with plenty of his kaiju characteristics. (Picture it like a Zoan hybrid transformation from One Piece.)

Gjira cracks his knuckles as stands atop Edward.

"Hey, Gjira!" Dimitri said behind him.

The monster turns around and sees the prince glaring at him.

"If you're gonna take his head, then you're gonna have to go through me first!"

(Outside Geese Tower)

Susie and Iida had just finished defeating Billy and Yamazaki. The two of them were out of breath as the villains lay unconscious.

"Great work, Susie." Iida congratulates. "They greatly underestimated us."

"Yeah….." Susie said. "Let's go see if Terry is alright. I'm worried."

Iida nods. "Yeah. I think that'd be a smart idea.

(Geese Tower, Top Floor)

"Power Wave!"

"Reppuken!"

"Burn Knuckle!"

"Hah! Predictable!"

"Rising Tackle!"

"Shippuken!"

Back and forth, Terry and Geese were throwing out attacks, and both were putting the other through the wringer.

Terry pants, catching his breath for a moment.

"Seems you weren't lying about being stronger." Geese remarked. "However, you're still far from beating me."

"Think again, Geese!" Terry huffed. "I've still got gas in the tank!"

"Your body language tells otherwise. You're tiring out."

Meanwhile, Aqua hid behind a chair as she watched the fight.

"Those two have been fighting like two starving wolves." She remarked. "Oh my god, so that's how Terry got his nickname."

Geese crosses his arms together as purple ki glows around it.

"It's about time I end this right here and now. RAGING STORM!"

He slams his fists to the ground as a trail of purple energy spikes barrel towards Terry. He wasn't gonna be able to avoid it in time. Aqua watches in horror, but her body suddenly reacts on its own.

Aqua leaps in front of him, and takes the Raging Storm in the chest.

"Aqua!" Terry cried.

"Heh. This is even better." Geese said.

Aqua drops to the ground, and Terry picks her up. She wasn't looking too good after that stunt.

"Aqua….why?!" Terry cried.

"You…. risked your life…. for me." Aqua said weakly. "Thought I'd return the favor. Before meeting you, I probably would have never done that for anybody. Thanks…. for never giving up on me. Now kick his butt."

She falls unconscious, and Terry gently places her down.

"Isn't it kind of nostalgic?" Geese asked. "Wouldn't be the first time I've sent a woman you loved to the grave!"

"Shut up!" Terry yelled. "That's never gonna happen again! Now you've angered the Wolf beyond salvation!"

The building shakes as Terry gathers energy from the earth. His body glows with a golden aura. His face was contorted in pure, unadulterated, rage.

"What's this?!" Geese said worriedly. "Your second wind, or your dying gasp?!" He then crosses his arms together again. "Die, maggot! RAGING STORM!"

Terry screams as he runs towards Geese. He throws a Burn Knuckle that breaks through Geese's attack.

"What?! Impossible! Do you know who I am?!"

Terry shoulder bashes Geese, and his fist glows and sparks as he readies one last move.

"I don't care! Whoever you are, I WILL SURPASS YOU! I never want to see your face again!" Terry roared. "BUSTER…. LAUNCHER!"

Geese is hit with a powerful uppercut that sends him flying out the window and plummeting towards the ground below. Once again, Geese would fall to his death.

His life flashes before his eyes as he drops down, his pupils gone white. It all went black we hear the crash of his body to the ground.

Terry breathes heavily, revelling in his victory. Until he collapses from exhaustion.

Right after this, Susie and Iida reach the top floor, and see an unconscious Aqua and Terry.

"Looks like a tornado came through here." Susie said.

Iida checks both of them, and sighs with relief. "On the plus side, they're still breathing. I think we need to get them out of here."

"Good call."

They both carry each of them, and exit the building to find the others.

Terry Bogard vs Geese Howard

Gjira stares at Dimitri, who dares challenge him.

"You heard me, Gjira!" Dimitri reiterated. "I'm gonna strike you down with everything I got!"

"What is he doing?" DIO wondered. "Does that little princeling think he stands a chance?"

"How about you either have hope, or shut your fucking trap?!" Deadpool told him.

Dimitri draws Areadbhar, and his body glows with a violent blue aura. This aura caused the entire tower to shake violently.

Down below, Katakuri stopped fighting for a second and sensed Dimitri's power.

"Is that…...Conqueror's Haki?! No… but it feels like it. What the hell is going on?!"

He then swiftly dodges a bite from Sura's gaping maw.

"This should be interesting." Gjira mused. Dimitri now had the conqueror's attention.

"Remember Duscur, Gjira?!" Dimitri asked. "Because you're about to face the wrath of those who perished that day!"

"Then come at me, boy!" Gjira demanded. "Show me the power your father lacked!"

"I'm giving all I have left for this!"

Dimitri yells as he runs at Gjira. Gjira goes to punch him, but he swings Areadbhar, parrying his punches. Gjira was utterly shocked that this man was keeping up with him like this.

He brings his fist down, but Dimitri parries that, and with the opening dashes past Gjira, unleashing a powerful slash at Gjira's chest.

"Atrocity!"

Gjira cries out in agony as blood spurts out of his chest. Dimitri left a large, long, diagonal scar across the chest. Everyone watching was absolutely floored at Dimitri's performance.

"Incredible!" Tari gasped.

"That man's truly a monster." DIO said.

"I always knew he was strong, but… wow!" Bernadetta marveled.

Gjira drops to one knee as he clutches the wound in pain.

"Dammit! Not….bad." Gjira winced. "You're incredibly strong. It will surely leave a scar. It hurt worse than the last time my body was scarred."

"It…wasn't enough?" Dimitri said grimly. "I put all my power into that."

Dimitri dropped to his knees with despondency. "I failed."

Gjira gets back up and pours alcohol on the wound.

"Don't beat yourself up about it, boy. You did what few others could ever pull off. I commend that. You have my full respect."

Dimitri smiles a tiny bit before passing out.

Gjira prepares to get to Edward, but is surprise attacked by a punch in the back. Gjira is sent flying several feet.

We see that Edward was now back up, and transformed into the Hero of Happiness again.

He looks over to everyone who was still conscious.

"Guys….. thanks for helping me out." Edward said. "You all are the best. But I think I can take care of the rest here. All of you get back down to the others, and let them know I got this."

Tari nods, fully believing in him. They take the other unconscious bodies and Giovanni's corpse as they head downstairs and leave the battlefield.

"Stop giving me orders!" DIO yelled.

"Then why are you leaving too?" Deadpool asked.

"Shut up!"

Gjira looks confidently at Ed. "So, you're sending everyone else away? You must be pretty confident in yourself."

"Maybe so." Ed said. "But I'm not gonna get a big head about it. I didn't make it this far on my own. If it weren't for my friends, I would have been dead a long time ago. We're helping each other, and it's time I finish what I started."

Gjira laughs at this. "Well, isn't that cute?! Let's see if your way of thinking can beat the strongest monster!"

The two run at each other, and their fists clash. The force of this causes the sky to split.

(First Floor)

Meanwhile, Kiryu was getting ragdolled by a rampaging gorilla Demonic Beast. Kogus slammed him around the room and was stomping him in a mindless rage.

Kiryu quickly flips back to avoid a crashing stomp.

"Now you're really pissing me off!" Kiryu said as he wiped some blood off his face.

Kogus roared and attempted to eat Kiryu. He quickly catches Kogus by his two Sabre toothed tiger-like fangs (part of the mutation.) Kiryu's body glows blue as he's tapping into his power.

With all of his might, he uses Kogus's weight against him and flips him, slamming him on his back.

The monster is disoriented, but still angry. Kiryu leaps into the air and rams into Kogus with a powerful headbutt.

"It's over, you monkey fuck!" Kiryu yelled.

The yakuza grabs one of Kogus's legs and begins to spin him around. Faster and faster he went, as the ape monster's eyes were going swirly as he was gonna yeet him, Mario 64 style. He was spinning him so fast that the friction caused sparks and smoke.

Finally, he lets go, and Kogus flies through the wall, and through the sky, out of his and everyone's sight.

Kiryu sighs with content and takes out a cigarette as he limps away.

"Ugh, my back is killing me. But that's nothing compared to what that ape's gonna feel."

He's caught by surprise as behind him, a giant boot smashes through the ceiling. Beneath the boot is a squashed bug monster.

"Looks like Katakuri finished up too.

Kazuma Kiryu vs Kogus

Katakuri fights relentlessly with over a dozen mochi arms, pummeling Sura. But she was relentless with her assault. Sura used her body's enhanced durability to tank the hits, and her wings to scatter reflective and painful scales that Katakuri had trouble avoiding. She still fired beams from her antennae, and her

"Monster!" Beast Sura roared. "You monster!"

"Great." Katakuri groaned. "Even as a mindless beast, she's still insulting me. I need an attack big and strong enough to break through her exoskeleton. She's only a bug! Wait…bug…I got it!"

Katakuri puts his hand to the ground and turns the floor, walls, and ceiling into mochi. His plan worked as mochi tendrils wrapped around Sura's body to restrain her and restrict her movement.

"You wanna call me a monster?!" Katakuri said with a slasher smile. "Then you're gonna see what happens when you mess with a monster. No…a demon!"

The mochi on the ground starts changing its shape, taking the form of a giant Katakuri that towers over Monster Sura. The only difference was that he had black devil horns and wings, and his face looked like a demo so horrific that I can't describe it without traumatizing you all.

This giant form really made Sura appear the size of a bug in comparison to the giant Katakuri.

"I've spent so much time with a demon that I've basically become one!" Katakuri yelled. "Die, you pompous insect!"

"Mochi Eel Demon: Stomp!"

Just like the bug she was, the giant stomped on Sura and crushed her all the way down to the first floor.

Katakuri pants heavily as Sura turns back to normal, albeit her body is all smashed up.

"Unlike you, I don't care what others think of me anymore."

Geralt runs across the dragon body of Gjido, fending off the heads that try to take a stab at him. He tries to slice the middle head, but one the other ones swat him, and send the Witcher crashing into the wall.

"You cannot win." The middle head said, still having some semblance of control. "I'm Gjira's right hand man. As long as he's still the strongest, I too shall remain unbeatable."

"So you're still conscious, huh?" Geralt remarked. "Your willpower must be strong, then."

Geralt swings his swords up and leaves a vertical slash on Ghido's chest. Ghido fires plasma beams from his mouths, but Geralt splits the attack with his blades.

Ghido flies up into the air, out of Geralt's reach.

"We are the strongest crew in the universe!" Ghido stated. "Neither Gjira nor us can ever hope to be toppled! Don't you see how hopeless your endeavor is?!"

Geralt uses a telekinetic blast to launch himself in the air, and uses his Ignii spell on his blades, igniting them.

"With these guys, I've learned to laugh at impossible odds!"

Geralt uses another blast to propel himself towards Ghido like a flaming missile. Ghido fires a plasma beam, but Geralt cuts through it cleanly, then slashes his heads, chest, and cuts off one of his wings in one fell swoop.

Ghido's eyes white out as he has a flashback to a conversation he had with Gjira a long time ago.

"Master Gjira."

"Hmm?"

"I was curious. What really is this "Hero of Happiness" to you anyway?"

Gjira smiles longingly as he thought it over.

"It may very well be the man who could one day defeat me."

Ghido could only help but laugh.

"Heh. Then I hope he never shows up. As long as you're the strongest, I will be the most unbeatable warrior at your disposal."

"You're a good kid, Ghido. I like your resolve. Don't tell the others, but you're my favorite."

"Gjira….." Ghido said as he was plummeting to the ground. "I'm sorry. As your favorite child, I couldn't keep my promise. Forgive me…."

"Apologies." Geralt said as he landed. "But it was you, or me."

We see Tari, Bernadetta, DIO, Kiryu, Deadpool, and Katakuri exit the tower, carrying Giovanni, Ryu, Erza, Wendy, and Miu with them. They meet up with Chris and the other contestants in the center of the city. At the same time, Iida and Susie showed up with Terry and Aqua.

"There you guys are." Chris said.

"Thank goodness you guys are alive!" Spinel said.

"Well…." Tari said sadly as she laid down Giovanni. "...Boss didn't make it."

The news hit everyone hard. Giovanni was dead, and at the hands of Gjira, no less.

"So soup boy's bit the dust, huh?" Rick said.

"Egad!" Percy gasped. "That's the same Banzai Blaster that got away! And now he's dead?!"

"He died helping us against Gjira." Bernadetta explained.

Mercy tended to the unconscious contestants with her staff. "Don't worry. I can bring him back, so long as his body is still intact."

"That's the thing." Erza said. "He didn't want to be brought back."

"What?!"

"He wanted to go out like a hero." Deadpool said. "Ironic, is it not?"

"It can't be!"

Meggy looked at his corpse in shock. "How could this happen? He didn't deserve this. He was such a great guy!"

Meggy began to tear up, but Tari quickly put her hand on her shoulder. She also was trying to hold back her sadness.

"I miss him, too, Meggy," She said. "But it's what he wanted."

"Neither him or his actions will ever be forgotten." Katakuri said. "As much as I hate to say it, we'll have proper time to mourn once this battle is over."

"Luckily, we managed to defeat Gjira's top officers." Kiryu said.

"So where's Edward?" Susie asked.

"Still fighting Gjira." Deadpool answered.

"So Ed's still up there?" Elena asked.

"Yes." Tari answered. "He said he can handle the rest."

"So he's our last hope, then." Waluigi said.

"If he loses, then we're all done for." Chris said. "Am I getting that right?"

"Precisely." Edgeworth answered. "None of us stand a chance against Gjira at this stage. Either Edward wins…..or we all die."

"I know he'll win." Tari said confidently. "I just know it."

Back to the battle up top, it had turned into a violent battle of fisticuffs between Ed and Gjira. Back and forth, they threw devastating punches at each other. The shockwaves of each punch could be felt for miles.

"Ding dong!" Edward exclaimed. He stretched his head back and released, hitting Gjira with a high speed headbutt.

"Not bad, kid!" Gjira praised. He grabs Ed by the legs and slams him back and forth on the ground Hulk style.

"Aaahh! Geez, that hurts like hell!"

Ed breaks free, and enlarges his fist. From that fist, he fires a large orange beam that pierces Gjira through the chest.

Gjira cries out as he drops to one knee. That last one really did a number on him.

"What's the….. matter, Gjira?" Edward taunts, out of breath. "You on your...huff…. last legs?"

Gjira smiles maliciously. "Guess again. You are right, though. I'm getting exhausted. That's what I get for having the best fight ever. But I still have one final trick up my sleeve."

This worried Edward. "What do you mean?"

"Long ago, when I aided Thales in Duscur, he repaid me kindly. He implanted over a dozen Crests into my body."

"No…"

"And I'm about to tap into the unbridled power of those Crests. First time I tried this out, I lost complete control, and accidentally destroyed a galaxy. But now you'll see the King of Monsters evolve even further!"

Gjira's body undergoes a painful metamorphosis, different from the ones his children went through. His pained screams turned into monstrous roars as the tower shook from his evolution.

"This pain is nothing! Compared to what i've already suffered!"

Once it was finished, he was still in his hybrid form, but it looked different, yet much larger. He appeared similar to a Demonic Beast, but resembles a humanoid plant. Gjira's eyes became black and red, his skin is only visible from the neck up, while the rest of him is covered by a tall black vine-like body with red accents on his shoulders and hands. The shoulder plates resemble leaves while a large toothed structure resembling a carnivorous plant stands behind his head.

He was now a monstrous abomination even more powerful than before. He was….

"Emperor of Monsters: Hegemon-Zilla!"

Edward was utterly horrified at the sight of Gjira.

"Now you're gonna face me at 100% of my full power!" Gjira said. His voice was now a demonic reverb. "This is all I've got left to throw at you. But I won't be stopped! No matter how hard you try!"

Ed raised his fists, still not ready to back down.

"You're wrong! It doesn't matter how much stronger you make yourself! I will beat you! No matter what!"

"The end of this fight will spell destruction for one of us. You and this planet shall be obliterated!"

"Maser Conquest!"

Gjira fires out another beam, but this one was black with a purple spiral around it. The blast was larger than before, and Edward couldn't avoid it as the attack hit him.

He laid on the ground, rolling in pain as he soldered a little bit.

"Aaaaaaaaaahhhh!" That's the most painful thing I've ever felt! C'mon, strength, don't leave me yet!"

Ed flew back up and flies towards Gjira, enlarging his fist bigger than he had before. Gjira readies another blast, but Ed punches him in the face before he could do so.

"Power of Joy: Big Bang Karma!"

The blast explodes in Gjira's mouth, causing a lot more damage.

"He's not done yet!" Edward said tiredly. "I've gotta….. knock him out while I'm still fused.

He goes for another hit, but Gjira's too fast. He runs at him and slams him to the ground with a double fisted hammer.

"Raging Tyrant!"

Edward coughed a bit of blood from that one. He was beginning to tire out. He needed to end this quickly or he was surely gonna die.

"One more hit!" Edward said as he got back up. "And if it doesn't work… then I've lost!"

He goes for the same attack as before. Gjira readies his claws.

"Show me what you got boy! Raging….."

They both charge at each other, but all of a sudden, Edward can't move.

"Huh?!"

It appeared that Zandrill had snuck up behind him and restrained him, throwing him off his concentration.

"Zandrill?!" Gjira said.

Zandrill let go of Ed, and quickly got out of the way. Gjira watched in horror as his fists were coming down on Edward. It was already too late to stop. As if in slow motion, Edward is utterly crushed by Gjira, blood and lightning splatter everywhere as Gjira unleashes his most devastating attack yet.

The ground beneath him utterly shattered, as Edward reverted back to normal. His body was badly bloody and beaten up, his eyes gone completely white.

Gjira looked at his body with disappointment. Zandrill got in the way and ruined the best fight ever. Gjira wanted to win, yes, but not like this.

Gjira turns around and glares down at Zandrill with murderous intent.

"You traitorous bastard!" Gjira roared. "You're just like the rest of them."

Zandrill smiled evilly. "I only pretended to be defeated. That funny haired weirdo would have to have tried a lot harder to take me down. This wouldn't be the first time I've gone behind your back, as I've been planning This for a while. This partnership is over. I've got what I wanted, and I thought I'd utterly crush your dream before I bid you adieu."

Gjira goes to attack Zandrill, but he teleports away.

"That bastard!" Gjira roared. He felt even worse than when he was immortal. Everything he fought hard for, all ruined by Zandrill.

Well, all he could do now was finish what he came to earth for.

Edward Elric vs Gjira

Winner: Gjira

Gjira walked over to the edge of the tower, and looked at all of the contestants below.

"What's Gjira doing?!" Toko asked.

"Listen up, all of you!" Gjira ordered. "Edward Elric is dead! If any of you wish to challenge me, step forward!"

Everyone was utterly shocked with this revelation. The dread began to set in hard.

"No….. we lost?!" Charlie cried.

"It can't be!" Spinel said.

"Damn it!" Terry cried. "We were so close!"

"He couldn't have lost!" Deadpool said.

"Brother…" Alphonse said glumly.

"Everyone! Stop thinking that way!" Tari told them. "Hey, Gjira! I know you're lying!"

"You really still believe that, girl?!" Gjira asked. "He is dead! I can confirm it!"

"I don't believe you! There's no way he lost! He couldn't have!"

She looks over at Katakuri.

"Isn't that right, Katakuri?! You still sense him up there, Don't you?!"

"I…. don't." Katakuri said grimly. "I don't sense any presence up there besides Gjira. Ed's voice… has vanished."

This made Tari drop to her knees in despair. Holding her head in her hands, she began to cry.

"No…" she cried. "I won't believe it. He can't be dead! He just can't! After we came so far! No! No! No!"

Isabelle puts an arm around Tari.

"We tried…." Geralt said regretfully. "But now we must pay the price."

"Indeed you all shall!" Gjira said. "You will all become my slaves! I'll destroy this planet, take everything you got, and you will all work under me! I will use you all, until your bodies tire and break! That is all your lives will be worth, for daring to fight back against me! You will all get nothing but my wrath for your useless hard work!"

"Then I guess we'll all go out together." Kiryu said. "I can at least take some solace in that. We fight together, we die together."

They all agreed a little bit. They'd rather fight back and die like Ed than serve under Gjira.

"Yeah!" They all cheered.

We then look back at Ed's body, still and lifeless. Very subtly, his finger twitches. His head fills with noises. Unfamiliar noises. All of them were laughing uncontrollably.

Ed's body began to twitch violently as SCP 999 emerged from under him, still alive. He was filling his head with so much joy and laughter, it was beginning to be too much.

"It's not time for you to die yet." The childlike voice of Tickles could be heard in Ed's head. "I'm giving you 100% pure, unfiltered, undiluted, joy. The effects may put an even greater strain on your body, and you've only Got one minute to do this, but it's our last chance."

"Huh?" Edward's consciousness began to come back.

"This is our last stand! Let's finish this, my friend!"

A pillar of white light shoots out of Ed's body and into the sky. Everyone and Gjira looked to see this weird phenomenon.

"What the hell is going on up there?!" Miu asked.

Tari looked up, and began to smile.

"I knew he wouldn't let me down."

"He's alive?!" Wendy said hopefully.

"Oh, he's more than alive at the moment." Katakuri said, sensing a weird presence up there.

Edward stands back up. He was once again fused, but he was different than before. His hair, clothes, and even skin had all turned pure white. His body glowed with sparking and sparkling white particles.

"I feel even more funny than before!" Edward said, laughing wildly and clutching his side's from the sheer force of his laughter.

Gjira looks at Ed, and smiles proudly. "Thank you, kid. I'm glad you're still alive. I'm sorry for that idiot's actions. I didn't want to win like that.

"A HYA HYA HYA HYA HYA! Don't sweat it!" Edward laughed. "Now, I think we were about to throw out our final attacks? I can only keep this up for a minute!"

"That's fine by me!" Gjira said. "We're both on our last legs! Let us see who comes out on top!"

Edward takes to the air, and increases the size of his hand. Even bigger than Gjira's tower. He then creates a large white ball of joyous energy in his hand, and grabs it, making his fist glow even brighter.

"You've got quite a lot of moxie, boy." Gjira said. "Now, give it all you've got!"

He charges an even bigger energy blast in his mouth.

"Ultimate Maser Cannon!"

He figures out a bigger beam than before at Edward. Edward throws out his giant fist at the beam.

"Power of Joy: Final Laugh!"

Both attacks collide with each other, and the sky goes dark as the force of this collision could be felt for thousands of kilometers. Everyone below could feel the force of their attacks

Everyone watched as both of them struggled to break through the other's attacks. A giant fist against an equally large hyper beam of radiation. They all cheer Edward on as he tries as hard as he can to break through Gjira's attack.

"Give up, brat!" Gjira taunted.

"Never!" Edward yelled. "Me and all my friends…NEVER WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN!"

With one last yell, Ed used all he had to tear through the beam, and succeeded. Gjira watches in shock as the giant fist comes crashing down on him. He gets punched so hard in the face that he is sent crashing through not only his tower and sending him crashing deep into the ground. The tower collapses on top of him as Gjira lays unconscious in a deep crater in the ground.

"I did it." Gjira thinks as everything goes dark. "Uncle…...I accomplished my dream. I hope you saw it!"

Edward smiles triumphantly, as he suddenly separates from the fusion, and passes out. He and Tickles begin to plummet to the ground below. Luckily, Tatsumaki uses her esper power to safely catch him and gently land him on the ground.

Edward still looked very beaten up, while Tickles sighed with exhaustion.

"Awright!" Deadpool pumped his fist. "He did it! We won!"

The whole crew cheered and celebrated their victory. Gjira and his whole crew were defeated once and for all.

As they all basked in their victory, Mercy was checking Edward.

"How is he, doc?" Alphonse asked worriedly. "Is he gonna be okay?"

"Your brother is still alive." Mercy reassured. "But he's still in critical condition. I can only do so much for him, but he'll need his rest to fully recover."

"Thank goodness."

"This story is really gonna shock the world." Zach said. "You'll all be even more famous than ever before."

"You know, I think we all deserve a good rest after everything we've been through today." Deadpool said. "Yo, Terry. There any hotels around here that aren't destroyed?"

"Uh…..I'll see what I can do." Terry said.

Edward Elric vs Gjira (Correction)

And so, with the toppling of Gjira's empire, everyone spent the next few days in South Town to rest after their hard earned win. Reconstruction began for the city, and the SCP Foundation had shown up, and we're in the process to find Gjira and his crew, and contain them so that they'll never threaten anyone again.

A small funeral service was held for Giovanni, burying him in the same cemetery as Terry's father. The event was very depressing, but they would always remember Giovanni as a great friend and heroic ally, despite claiming to be a villain.

Edward, meanwhile, was recuperating in the local hospital. Neither Tari, Theo, Alphonse, Dimitri, Rick, or Deadpool left his side.

After a few days, he began to finally wake up. He stirred as his eyelids fluttered open. He saw all of his friends there, but mostly, what he could see was Tari's worried face.

"Wakey wakey, sleepy head." Theo said.

"Hey." Tari said sweetly.

"Hey." Edward replied.

She then goes to hug him, as Tickles goes to do so as well.

"I thought I told you not to scare me like that!" Tari jokingly said.

"And I told you no promises." Ed jokingly retorts. "Wait, how long have i been out?"

"Three days." Deadpool said. "Though MemeKing really made that time just fly by."

"So…did I win?"

"You sure did, kid." Rick said. "Gjira's been unconscious in a crater, and the SCP Foundation are fishing him out so they can lock him up as we speak."

"I see…."

"Once again, I'd like to thank you, Edward." Dimitri said. "We've finally put a stop to Gjira, and I avenged my fallen friends and family. I will make sure you are recognized as a renowned hero in Faerghus."

"So what will you do now?"

"Well, I'm about to leave right now. I was waiting until you woke up to give my thanks. Now, I'll head back to Garreg Mach and finish my schooling. Once I graduate, I'll ascend to the throne as king of Faerghus, and I'll be the best ruler the kingdom has ever had."

Dimitri gets up and proceeds to leave tge room. With one last wave, he was gone.

"So, how are you feeling, Ed?" Alphonse asked.

"Quite better, Al." His brother answered. "Still sore, but nothing I can't work off. I'm at least sure I can get the hell out of this bed."

"That's good." Tari said. "Chris said once you were awake and well, we'd be setting off."

"Well, I guess we should be going. Honestly, I'm glad I can put all of this behind us."

He picks up Tickles, and they all go to meet up with the other contestants.

We see Dimitri walking through the city, while construction is still underway. With him, he carried the Heroes Relics stolen by Gjira, ready to return them to their rightful houses back in Fodlan. He stopped at the sight of Gjira's demolished tower. The Foundation workers managed to finally get Gjira out of there thanks to a powerful industrial crane.

Gjira was badly hurt, unable to move at all right now, but was now conscious again.

"Well, guess it's back to the Foundation for me." He grunts. "But I don't care. I'm satisfied now."

"Are ya sure about that, ya overgrown salamander?!" A voice asked.

"What the heck was that?!" One of the workers said.

"Over here, land scum!"

Gjira, Dimitri, and the workers looked up on the nearby hill. We see a whole group of people standing there, about eleven people. The one in the center was a fat man with a long pointy nose. He wore a green vest and white long sleeved undershirt, black pants and boots, matching cape, and his balding head had wavy, graying hair.

To Dimitri, they definitely looked like no good scoundrels.

"State your name!" Dimitri said, brandishing Areadbhar.

"I know them!" One of the workers gasped.

"What are ya talking about, Phil?" Another worker asked.

"They're the most infamous pirate group ever to sail the multiverse! The Aegis of Anarchy!"

"Who?" Dimitri asked.

"That'd be us all right." The fat man said.

Phil began to look at his crewmates, and recognized them as well.

First was a teenage guy with pale skin wearing a black cape and pants.

"That's the "Bane of Blood", Valentio!"

"Umm…hi?" Valentio said awkwardly.

Next was a large shark man with a hook hand.

"The "Predator King", Glades!"

"Well, I'll be!" Glades chuckled. "Looks like my fame precedes me."

Next was a punk rock girl with pink hair in a long ponytail, pink shirt with black sleeves, a white skirt, and black knee high boots. Also has a long scar diagonally across her face.

"The "Royal Slaying Rebel", Zinna!"

"Heh heh. You boys want some of this?! Try me!" Zinna warned.

"Don't waste your breath with all these introductions!" The fat guy said. "I'm the star of the show! The name's Cecil D. Pugwash! Gjira, it's been far too long! You're not looking too good!"

"Pugwash!" Gjira growled. "You fat bastard!"

"You've got something I want, Gjira!" Cecil said. "And now that those brats took you down, now's my chance!"

"Hold it right there!" Dimitri said. "I won't let you through, you dirty rotten pirate!"

"Hey, captain! Can I kill him?!"

"I'll handle this, Xyrian." Cecil said.

He runs at Dimitri, and goes to punch him. Dimitri swings Areadbhar, and both attacks clash, with black lightning crackling around them. But Cecil's strength literally broke the lance in half.

"What?!" Dimitri exclaimed, but Cecil quickly knocked him out with a punch to the gut.

"With all the powers I've copied, your Crest of Blaiddyd isn't strong in comparison!"

Cecil walks over to Gjira, and puts his hand on him. Gjira cries out his body shriveled up, until his body is thin. He was still alive, though.

"Now it's gonna take longer for you to return to full strength." Cecil laughed. "But now….."

Cecil's arm turns into a dark, scaly claw.

"I have the same power as you! A power I've coveted for so long! Your era is over, Gjira! Now…...it will be my era next!"

Cecil laughs as he returns to his crew.

"I'll let those scallywags celebrate their victory for now! But when the time comes, I'm coming for them! Chris McLean, you have something of mine, and I'm gonna take it back one day! For now, let's return to the ship, my hearties."

As they leave, we see Zandrill talking to someone on a receiver.

"You've heard right." He said. "Fullmetal beat Gjira. And now Pugwash is making moves. I'll tell you all more in detail when I return. See you all soon."

He hangs up, and says "Things are surely going to get dicey from here on out."

Edward and Tari finally meet up with Susie, Waluigi, Joe, Miu, and Terry in the center of town. Around them, several Foundation workers were talking with Chris while they were helping clean up.

"Hey, you guys!" Terry said. "Glad you're alright!"

"Yeah, well, I'm all better now!" Ed assures.

"So…what are we gonna do now?" Susie asked. "With Gjira done, what're we doing about the game?

"Guess we'll continue on like normal." Edward guessed. "Frankly, I'd rather take Chris's challenges over Gjira any day of the week."

"Damn straight." Miu adds.

Soon after, Chris and one of the Foundation employees walk up to him. He was dressed up like one of the Men in Black.

"Are you Mr. Elric?" He asked.

"Yes?"

"I'm Operative Harlin of the SCP Foundation. On behalf of the O5 Council, we'd like to offer thanks for stopping Gjira."

"O5 Council?" Waluigi asked, to which Glass Joe shrugged.

"They're the ruling body of the SCP Foundation," Edward explained, "consisting of 13 individuals who are widely regarded, and rightfully so, as among the most powerful, if not the most powerful, and influential individuals on the planet to the point where they could outright alter history itself if they so wished."

"So they run the Foundation?" Miu asked.

"Precisely." Harlin answered. "We've been asked that you return SCP 999 effective immediately. He's a powerful specimen that must be protected at all costs."

"Well, I figure it had to happen at some point." Edward said as he hugged Tickles. "I'm gonna miss you, Tickles. Thanks for everything."

"There's more." Harlin said. "The Council has requested to speak to you and Ms. Tari immediately."

"Hold up, pal!" Edward snapped. "We've got a competition to keep playing here."

"Uh, Ed," Chris said awkwardly. "I tried telling them that."

"So what?"

"The Council demands to pull you two out of the game to talk to you two." Harlin explained. "And Mr. Sanchez. Should you refuse, the Council will put out a hit on the both of you. You refuse, and they'll have you two killed."

"I tried to reason with them, guys." Chris explained. "But there's nothing I can do about it. My hands are tied."

"You gotta be kidding me!" Edward groaned. "After all we've been through, we have to quit the game?! Sorry, Tari."

"Its fine, Ed." Tari said. "Whatever that council wants, I'm sure it's not the end of the world. At least we'll have each other." She then gives him a kiss on the cheek. She then realized something.

"Wait, why do they want to talk to me? Edward was the one who beat Gjira."

"That's classified for the moment. For now, you two and Mr. Sanchez are to come with us. We promise it isn't anything bad."

This at least made Edward feel better. "I guess you're right. Alright, pal. We'll talk to the Council. Guys, good luck with the rest of the game. Hopefully, we'll see you soon."

"You guys aren't leaving me behind, are you?" Theo asked.

"I'd never do that." Tari said. "Of course you're coming with us."

"Crackerjack! I smell a new adventure! Lets go!"

With that, Harlin escorts the three of them away, as they wave goodbye to their friends.

"So…I guess this means we're all in the final five?" Glass Joe asked.

Chris nodded. "That's right. Glass Joe, Waluigi, Susie, Terry, Miu, you've all officially made it to the final five of Total Drama Infinite 2. Feel proud, because I'm not gonna make the endgame easy for you guys."

The five of them all look at each other with determination.

"Well, Waluigi thinks we know who's gonna win." Waluigi said. "Obviously Waluigi."

"Get real." Susie said. "It's gonna be me."

"You two virgins are fucking stupid if you think youre gonna beat me." Miu said

"I'm in it to win it!" Glass Joe declared.

"Don't think I'm out of this either." Terry warned. "This wolf's still hungry, and all I taste is first place."

The five of them knew what they were up against now. They all wanted to win the money, but knew only one would be left standing. After the craziest day they have ever had, the five of them were ready for anything. The final stage of the game was beginning.

I think this officially goes without saying that this was my craziest chapter yet. And probably my best. It had everything. Love, loss, epic battles, fourth wall breaking, what more could you ask for?

Rest in peace, Giovanni. You may not have been the best villain, but you were a better friend.

Finally, thanks to everyone's help, Edward has finally defeated Gjira, and his empire is totalled. Unfortunately, he and Tari have been eliminated from the game because of those Foundation jerks. Wonder what the O5 Council wants with them? Before you jump my throat about Tari getting eliminated as well, there's a reason for it by the Foundation. But it'll make sense in a few chapters, so please understand that. We'll find out soon. Same with this new guy, Cecil, and his merry band of criminals. We'll be seeing them again in the future, but now's not the time to worry about that.

Now, we have our final five. Terry, Susie, Joe, Miu, and Waluigi. Who you gonna root for?

But next time, it's off to Kyoto, Japan. Our final five will compete in a sudden death Japanese Game Show. Next episode is going to be a wacky one for sure.
