In King Neptune's castle, several guards outside the walls and on watchtowers grow nervous as they see an angry mob approaching.
"This can't be good." The head guard says as he pulls out binoculars. He looks to see that the mob has torches and pitchforks with them. He then sounds the alarm alerting all the guards.
In her room, Mindy hears the alarm and looks to see what is happening. "What's going on? Why is the alarm going off?" She asks nervously.
"Princess Mindy. We need to get you out of the castle." The guard warns her. "There's an angry mob coming this way." He escorts her to a carriage to get her to safety. "We will tell your father that you are safe."
As the carriage goes away to a safe location, the guard runs back into the castle to defend it from ten rioters. As the rioters run to the doors they chant, "NO VAX, NO MASK! NO VAX, NO MASK!" When several guards set up a barrier to stop them from entering the castle.
The rioters however rush over the barriers and into the castle. As they wander around the castle, they look for King Neptune and vandalize the hallways of the castle. Vastly outnumbered, the castle guards call for help when suddenly… King Neptune appears in the castle.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY CASTLE?!" He shouts in a booming voice as the rioters begin to cower.
"We… we're just trying to stop the mandate, we don't need masks and vaccines to keep us safe." Fred measly says.
"Is that so?" Neptune asks sarcastically as he zaps Fred in that face with his trident.
"MY MOUTH!" Fred screams as his lips chap rapidly.
"Well maybe if you had a mask on, your mouth wouldn't be hurting." The king says sarcastically. Neptune looks on as the other rioters attempt to run away from Neptune, only to come face to face with castle guards and Bikini Bottom police.
"You can either come quietly or noisily. Either way you are all under arrest." Neptune informs them. Most are taken to the dungeon quietly, others begin to flee out of the castle.
"Your Majesty, the others are escaping." One of the guards says.
"Oh don't worry, they won't make it far." Neptune reassures his guards.
Neptune then contacts Mindy to make sure she is safe. "Are you safe, my dear?" He asks.
"I'm fine daddy, but I was scared. I mean why did they storm the castle? Who told them to do that?" Mindy asks.
"They wanted me to lift the mask mandates and get rid of the vaccine. Now who led them to it I… o… I think I just found out who that is." Neptune says as he sees the news story about Howard Blandy outside the Chum Bucket talking to the crowd.
Later that night, Plankton is watching the news of everything that went down at the castle when he gets a phone call from Mr. Krabs.
"Some day today, huh Krabs?" Plankton says.
"Ye got that right, Sheldon." Mr. Krabs responds.
"The funny thing is, some of those people that stormed the castle were my most loyal customers when we started doing deliveries." Plankton says
"I saw a few of me own regulars in that crazy mob. I don't think I'm gonna serving anyone who was at the castle." Mr. Krabs says.
"I'm gonna stick with deliveries. I don't want to look any of those customers in the face if they keep ordering from the Chum Bucket. If they can ever order from anywhere again." Plankton says.
"I'm thinking of opening up the Krusty Krab for dine-in, but everybody has to wear a mask until they're at the table with their food." Mr. Krabs informs him.
"Yeah the Chum Bucket isn't quite ready for dine in service." Plankton says as he looks at the rusty benches and undusted tables.
"Well maybe one day it will be better. Hopefully sooner than later this whole situation will be a distant memory." Mr Krabs says.
"I think we'll eventually just have to live with Coralvirus. We can't live in fear forever, but we can't ignore the problem at hand. I think it'll be some time before everything goes completely back to normal." Plankton says.
"Yer probably right, Sheldon. I just hope that today was a wake up call for people to relax and not go crazy." Mr. Krabs says.
"Only time will tell." Plankton hangs up the phone and continues to watch the arrests happening on the news. Mr. Krabs hangs up the phone and lays back in his hammock bed. "Argh, why can't this Coralvirus nightmare come to an end?" He asks himself before falling asleep.
End of the chapter. Definitely a much darker chapter than the previous ones. But one that makes sense given the story and backdrop. The next chapter will have a much lighter tone to it. Still working on where the conclusion of this story will be.
