It was the next morning, Blackwing walked into the ThunderClan camp. Bunnystep went over and greeted her friend, although Bunnystep looked nervous after looking at Blackwing's paws. He then realized he didn't clean the blood off his paws. "Yeah it got nasty, but the killer is gone now." Blackwing said to Bunnystep.

Bunnystep looked excited, "That's great news! I'll inform the leader." She said before turning and going to the leader's den. That's good, then I won't scare the Leader. Blackwing thought. He walked out and cleaned his paws in the river, using his powers to move the water in a way that more effectively cleaned his paws.

He returned to the entrance of the camp, and saw Bunnystep walking out to meet him. Blackwing and Bunnystep decided to go and take a nice walk through the forest.

"So, you know the 'metal lines' that one of the travelers mentioned?" Blackwing asked, Bunnystep nodded. "Well I saw the twolegs placing down the same metal lines not overly far from here. I'm unsure if they are going to make it go through here. But if they do, who knows what'll happen."

"Well have you seen these 'Beasts'?" Bunnystep asked, Blackwing looked over, "A sleeping one, but I think it counts." Blackwing answered.

The sun was setting and Bunnystep had returned to the ThunderClan camp for the night. Blackwing went back to his treehouse and went to sleep, and a familiar face was there to greet him.

"Quite the day wasn't it Blackwing?" Starwing asked, sitting down next to Blackwing putting one wing around him. Blackwing giggled a bit, "You know me well Starwing. It was certainly an interesting day." Blackwing answered, "Taking down a murderer and relaxing with your friend. Two things that shouldn't be able to be mixed, but I pulled it off somehow." Blackwing chuckled, "I think that luck is kicking in again!"

The two were talking and chuckling to eachother's day. When Starwing broke some news.

"You know the mountains nearby?" He questioned Blackwing, Blackwing looked over and nodded. "Well, I have a mission for you. Learn to fly and go up to those mountains. I need your eyes up there to satisfy some curiosity of mine." He briefed.

"What are you wondering about? It's just a load of mountains with birds flying around it." Blackwing asked. Starwing looked at Blackwing with a glare that said I was going to say it furball.

"My vision may be limited but I could see cats on those mountains, I have wondered if it was traveling cats or cats are living up there." Starwing answered.

It was day, Blackwing woke up to Bunnystep poking his side which startled him a bit.

"Finally Blackwing! I've been poking you for a while now!" Bunnystep exclaimed excitedly, "Can I ask you a simple question?" Bunnystep inquiried, Blackwing nodded, "Have you learned to fly yet?" She asked.

"No, but I plan t-" Blackwing had a sudden realization when he noticed the sky, "To do it today. The weather is great to try to learn flight in." He said with confidence. "May I be there to watch?" Bunnystep asked, Blackwing nodded.

Now it was time. The weather was at it's best, the ground was dry, and Bunnystep was excited. Blackwing used his powers to move tree and rocks out of the way to create a runway of sorts, and remembered how the metal birds took off. So he ran as fast as he could, opened his wings and leaped up, and he started flapping his wings, he closed his eyes bracing to slam into something. He was silently praying for this to work.

He didn't fell the ground or trees, just the wind. He opened his eyes and he was gliding over the trees, and conveniently there was a different looking metal bird to show him the next step. He watched the tail move to the left, and he moved his legs to the left, the metal bird tipped one wing down and banked to the right, he copied it and made a 180 and then got out of it. The metal bird was gone, but now he knew the rest. He finally learned to fly.
