Okay but is anyone really surprised that I said I would update this weekend and then waited until the last possible moment? This chapter is a bit more descriptive and mushy than my usual writing style but what do you except from a wedding chapter? (Reviewer(s?), thank you for your wonderful feedback as always, I love you for it! 3) Enjoy!

–The Wedding–

Andy watched Marc head inside the hotel and could see Lu watching her expectantly, however, she felt glued to the spot.

''Are you ready?'' Lu asked, her eyebrows raised. She took Andy's hand into her own, waiting for Andy to lead them both inside. She knew her palms were a bit sweaty and knew without asking that she was more nervous than Andy was.

Andy looked up at the tall building, the hotel where she was supposed to be getting ready now, where she would be getting married in just a few hours, she looked back at Lu, ''Are you?'' She asked, needing to know.

They had only just landed back in Philadelphia, in the nick of time for the wedding. It had been a last minute booking and they were only just barely on time but Lu had been insistent that she wasn't going to keep Andy from going to her own wedding. Andy knew she had to rush inside and get ready but didn't want to without getting the 'okay' from Lu.

It had been less than 24 hours since Isabel's funeral. It had been an insane couple of days with planning the funeral as well as tying up all the loose ends and clearing out Isabel's house and putting it on the market… they hadn't had a moment to just breathe and hadn't talked about their relationship at all though they had continued to sleep in the same bed, just on opposite sides with their hands meeting somewhere in the middle.

Andy tried to blame Puerto Rico's heat and humidity for the distance they had kept from each other, trying to ignore how Lu had been colder than usual.

Lu thought back to the sleepless nights she had had in the past week, Andy lying peacefully asleep next to her. She had been thinking about today, had been thinking about Andy walking down the aisle to Milo, not her. There was a fear that Andy would forget about her and about mending their relationship as she would surely focus more on Milo during their honeymoon phase after their 'I do's'.

Andy gave Lu a look when she didn't respond. ''Lu?''

Lu looked back and forth between Andy's eyes. ''Do you love me?'' She asked, needing to know. She could see Andy hesitating and it made her stomach sink, ''I don't need to know if you want to get back together,'' Lu said, feeling like she needed to clarify, ''And I don't need to know if you're in love with me, but do you-''

''Yeah of course I do,'' Andy said, wondering how Lu could ever doubt that, ''Of course I love you.''

Lu smiled for the first time in what felt like way too long. She tugged Andy behind her to the door, ''Then let's go.''

Milo stared at Andy as she walked down the aisle, absolutely speechless.

She had chosen not to be given away by her parents so was walking alone, her dress trailing behind her a bit. She had gotten ready in record time, it had helped that Jesse and Lizzy had already had their hair and makeup done so only Andy and Lu were left to get ready.

Lu was holding her breath as she watched Andy's eyes gazing back at Milo. Yes, Andy had given her some reassurance but she still didn't feel entirely comfortable and was wondering how she had ever agreed to this. At least it took her mind off of Isabel for a moment.

She had helped Andy put her dress on, feeling as speechless as she had the first time she had seen Andy in it. There was now nothing else to distract her from the fact that Andy and Milo could actually get married – they would forever have something more than she and Andy had, something that they couldn't even have. It broke her heart but she knew it was for the best to let Andy do this.

Still, she managed to smile at Andy as she took the bouquet from her. It was only a split second that Andy had even looked at her and she wished it had lasted longer. Lu had the ring Andy was going to give to Milo in her hand and she looked down at it, wishing she didn't have to.

The officiant smiled down at Andy and Milo, ''Dearly beloved, we have come together, family and friends, to uphold Milo and Andy as they make their vows of marriage.'' He gave Milo a small nod, giving him the go-ahead.

''Andy, it seems surreal we finally made it to the altar,'' he said and they both chuckled. ''I must admit there were times when I didn't think we would make it, but even when I didn't want to admit it to myself I always felt in my heart that you are the one, that you are the one I'm supposed to share my life with.'' He looked down for a second, feeling overwhelmed with his love for her. When he looked back up his eyes met Lu's over Andy's shoulder and he could see she was struggling to keep it together, and in that moment all he wanted to do was support her. He knew that he was not just marrying Andy but he was in a way marrying Lu too, she would always be there. Even if they hadn't officially gotten back together she would still be there.

When Lu gave him a slight nod, urging him to continue, Milo focused back on Andy. ''There are a lot of things I love about you,'' he said, feeling emotional, ''Your kind spirit, your devotion to the people that you love, your passion for what you do…I love that you accept me for who I am but still challenge me to be better. I feel like I've grown a lot during our relationship and even though I don't know what the future holds, I'm ready, and I can't wait to find out with you. I vow to always be there for you, to remind you every chance I get how much I love you; I vow to support you when life gets tough, and to celebrate the good times. I love you.''

Milo turned to his father – his best man – and took the ring from him and turned back to Andy, a flutter in his stomach.

''Do you, Milo Morton, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?''

''I do,'' Milo said with a smile as he slipped the ring on Andy's finger, ''I commit myself to you, to love, nurture, challenge, and support you, through all the changes of our lives.''

Andy looked down at her ring, happy that at last after their breakup and after all their fights this was finally happening. Now it was her turn. She took a deep breath. ''Milo, there have been many ups and downs in our relationship and it wasn't always easy, but no matter what happened you were always there. You helped me grow, and through all the changes you were supportive and accepting,'' maybe not at every step but he was when it counted, ''Though you don't always show it you have a big heart and I love you beyond belief and feel so honored that I get to call you my husband. I can't promise that it'll always be easy, I can't promise to solve all your problems, but I can promise that you won't have to face them alone. I will laugh with you, I will cry with you, I will care for you, and I will build a life with you. I love you more than I will ever be able to put into words, but I will show you every day.'' She couldn't help but still mouth the words 'I love you' to him. She could feel a tear in her eye and was surprised by it. She turned to Lu, taking the ring from her before looking up at Lu's face, looking back at her for just a second longer than she had to. The look on Lu's face, the emotions written all over it, it was a very sobering moment. The officiant's voice snapped her out of it, and she turned back, feeling like she needed a moment to gather herself.

''Do you, Andy Campbell, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?''

She looked up at Milo's grinning face, ''I do.'' She said, her voice soft but audible enough. Her hand had a slight tremor to it as she slipped the ring on Milo's face, ''I commit myself to you,'' it had originally said 'commit my entire being' but she had convinced Milo to change it, ''To love, nurture, challenge, and support you, through all the changes of our lives.''

''By the power vested in me by the great state of Pennsylvania, I now declare you husband and wife!''

The sound of their guests cheering and clapping was drowned out the moment Andy felt Milo's lips on her own.

It wasn't until after dinner that Andy got a break from talking to guests, and she took the first opportunity she got to drag Lu with her into a secluded room. ''Are you okay?'' Andy asked sincerely, trying not to pay too much mind to how Lu was softly pushing her away, ''I saw the look on your face during the ceremony.'' It wasn't just during the ceremony either; when they had sat down for dinner Andy could see that Lu was only feeling worse, a worn-out look on her face.

Lu shrugged, she didn't want Andy to have to worry about their relationship during her wedding but knew that Andy wasn't going to let this go, ''I guess I just…'' she sighed, ''I'm just a bit jealous, of you and Milo, of hearing you tell him how much you love him. And what he said… he really has it bad for you,'' she said, trying to make light of the situation.

Andy chuckled, shaking her head slightly, ''Lu…''

''Nick tried to talk to me after the ceremony,'' Lu added, interrupting Andy. She knew Nick was going to be at the wedding, she was well aware of how he and Andy had stayed friends after everything that had gone down between them, but that didn't mean she was ready to talk about it with him like he had attempted to. ''After what he did-''

''After what he did?'' Andy asked, interrupting Lu, ''You know it was all my doing, don't you? I was the one who pulled him closer, I was the one who initiated it, if you're going to be mad at anyone it should be me.'' When she looked Lu in the eye she could see that deep down she still was.

''I know, I know,'' Lu said, running her hands through her hair, pulling out a bobby pin when it got in the way, ''I don't care.'' She said, sniffling a bit, ''I'm just so…'' she tried to look for the right word. Done, sad, angry, ''I'm just so tired.''

Andy could see the tears spilling over Lu's eyelids and pulled her into her arms, softly stroking her hair in an attempt to comfort her. ''It's okay,'' she whispered. Andy had expected that sooner or later this would happen. Lu had maintained a tough composure – as she always did – during the whole ordeal with Isabel, but Andy had been able to see how much it had affected her, and had expected that sooner or later Lu would break. Andy could feel Lu start to pull away a bit, ''It's okay.''

Lu looked at the wet tears left on Andy's dress and tried to wipe them away, ''We need to keep the dress pretty for when you marry me.''

Andy smiled at the offhanded comment, it had been too long since she had heard Lu talk about the two of them like that, ''I have a good drycleaner,'' she joked, her arms draped over Lu's shoulders.

Lu shook her head a bit, wiping away her tears, ''I'm really so happy for you, and for Milo, and I want to go out there,'' she looked over at the door they had come in through, ''And celebrate, but I don't think I have it in me… Maybe I should just go home.''

''No, no…'' Andy said, trying to think of a different solution, feeling nervous when only one idea came to mind, ''Wait here a second, okay?'' She didn't wait to hear any possible protests from Lu as she quickly slipped out the door and back into the main hall, immediately bumping into Milo.

He gave her a suspicious look, ''Is everything okay in there?'' He asked, wrapping his arm around Andy's waist.

She could feel him nuzzle her neck as she wrapped her arms around his neck, ''Everything is fine,'' she said slowly, needing to build up the courage to what she was about to ask. ''Can I have one of our keycards?'' She asked, pulling away from him and flashing him a big smile, immediately knowing he misunderstood when he started grinning. He had both the keycards to their suite on him as she didn't have anywhere to put them but now wished she had found a different place to stash them.

''Now?'' He asked, his hands moving down to her butt as he looked over his shoulder to make sure no one was watching them.

''It's not for us,'' Andy said quietly, seeing it slowly start to click for him.

''Oh.''

''It's Lu,'' Andy said, ''She's…'' She couldn't find the right words.

''It's fine.'' Milo said, pulling away a bit and giving her one of the cards.

She looked up at him, a slight frown on her face; she could see that though he didn't truly mind he wasn't entirely thrilled about it either. ''Is it?''

He had been quiet and Andy had decided that was probably the best response she could've hoped for – she didn't expect him to suddenly be completely on-board with her relationship with Lu.

Andy had gone up to the suite she and Milo had booked with Lu, glad when Lu seemed to pass out nearly instantly on the bed. It gave them less time to talk and it gave Andy to focus more of her attention on her now husband – though she would be lying if she said that on the way back down she wasn't wondering about her and Lu.

Aside from Lu's offhand comment about their possible future wedding she still had not entirely given Andy indication that they were back together, not officially anyway. They hadn't kissed since before their breakup weeks ago, their hands somehow always seemed to find each other but they were physically quite distant aside from that.

It was a lot to think about but Andy tried to push that out of her mind the second the elevator doors opened into the lobby, the music coming from the hotel ballroom loud and clear.

The hotel had a room specifically designed for weddings, but she and Milo had opted to also rent the ballroom and adjacent outdoor patio for the reception. It was a bit more lavish than she was accustomed to – although her relationship with Milo had certainly helped – but couldn't argue with Milo that it was a beautiful place for their wedding.

The summer had seemed to stretch into fall and the temperatures outside were nice enough that they had been able to open – and keep open – the large doors leading outside. The outside was decorated with lights everywhere, and a live band was playing.

It wasn't long before she found Milo in the crowd, slipping her hand in his as she leaned into his side. He was in deep conversation with an aunt of his who had flown into the wedding and Andy was absentmindedly listening to them. When they finally got a moment alone he turned more towards her. She could see him signal something to the band and frowned at him.

''It's nothing,'' he whispered in her ear as he pulled her close, burying his face in her hair as they slowly danced to the music.

It was their first dance together as husband as wife – a nice change of pace from having her first dance with the base commandant like at her and Les' wedding. She laid her head on Milo's chest, her eyes meeting other people's in the crowd. She could see Nick standing near the bar, getting a drink.

Their eyes met and she smiled at him. She wasn't sure how to feel about him anymore. Yes, she had been the one to mess up, that wasn't his fault, and she definitely blame him for her mistake, but she felt guilty for still having some affectionate feelings for him. It wasn't fair to Milo and it definitely wasn't fair to Lu.

Her eyes glided across the dance floor, Lizzy was dancing with one of Milo's nephews, her parents were dancing with each other, Eve and Philip were dancing together, Peter and Kayla… inside she could see Jesse and Marc talking to each other, as well as Robert and Susan whose MS had slowly progressed far enough that she couldn't dance anymore.

Andy picked her head up off Milo's chest in surprise when the new song started. Fields of Gold, it had been their song ever since he had taken her to a Sting concert when they first started dating. She felt touched that he had asked the band to play it for them, she herself hadn't thought of that.

She reassured herself that Lu was completely safe and vast asleep before she allowed herself to let Lu slip from her mind, focusing completely on Milo and celebrating their love and commitment to each other. Even if she had wanted to she wouldn't have been able to look away from Milo, their eyes glued on each other.

''I can't believe we're married,'' she said quietly. There had not been a doubt in her mind that she would one day marry him – not when they were together and not when they were broken up – but to now finally get to call him her husband… She had been committed to them and their relationship but this made it all the more real.

''Took long enough,'' Milo said with a sigh. It had only been a few months since his annulment from Sandra had gone through, thankfully it had been pretty amicable and she hadn't put up much of a fight after receiving some money and most of his furniture. Not that he needed it anymore anyway.

She nodded in agreement. Andy could feel him lean in, rubbing their noses together in an Eskimo kiss, making her giggle.

''I'm just glad we made it,'' he said sincerely, ''I would marry you every day, Andy Campbell.''

Andy's jaw dropped slightly when she saw Lu walk into the ballroom. It was well after midnight and the party was starting to slowly slow down, a few guests had already left.

It was clear that Lu was more rested and she still looked perfect, not a hair out of place and her mascara un-smudged.

Andy waved her over to where she and Milo were standing, saying goodbye to some people, focusing on Lu as soon as they had left. ''How are you feeling?'' She asked, her hand rubbing Lu's arm. One of her arms was still wrapped around Milo's waist, not wanting him to feel like she was prioritizing Lu too much on their wedding day.

''Better,'' Lu said. It had been a long nap that had been much needed. She was surprised to wake up in the bed alone, surprised that apparently the party was still ongoing but glad that that meant she could join in on the celebration even if just for a little bit. She glanced over at Milo, hoping that he didn't mind her being there. He had seemed more kind than usual during the ceremony and for a brief second she had felt like maybe if she and Andy got back together they could all get along, but he seemed more distant now.

''Good,'' Milo said with a slight nod. After a moment of hesitation he gave Lu a brief, one-arm hug, ignoring the awkwardness he was sure Lu had felt as well. He knew that Andy probably wouldn't get back together with Lu if she felt that he wasn't okay with it, he wanted to prove to her that he was.

Andy glanced back and forth between Milo and Lu, trying to find a way to break the silence that had set in. She turned around when Jesse tapped on her arm, Marc in tow as she was dragging her little sister behind her. Andy hadn't been able to spend that much time with her daughters during the wedding but from what she had seen they had had a good time nonetheless.

''Let's take a picture,'' Jesse said, and Andy noticed the photographer that had come along inside with them.

Andy took a deep breath before giving Jesse a slight nod. It had been great that – though it had taken a long time – Jesse and Lizzy had finally accepted Lu and Marc into their lives, into the family, but now that Andy and Lu were broken up she wasn't sure it was for the best anymore, the last thing she wanted was for her girls to get hurt.

Milo pulled Andy next to him, between him and Lu, as the kids got in position next to them. Andy could feel Milo's arm around her waist, Lu's hand searching hers and she squeezed it slightly, glad that Lizzy was somewhat blocking the view from the camera. She looked down at their hands joined together before looking up at Lu, smiling at her.

She knew she was somewhat drunk from the exhaustion and the excitement of the day, but for the first time in a long time she felt sure in her heart that they were going to be okay.
