On the planet Lithone, home to the people of Lithones as every male, female, and child is enjoying their peaceful happy lives. Two scientists walk down the hallway carrying test samples to their lead scientist as they're making an interesting breakthrough. Suddenly, their planet begins to tremble as objects and buildings begin to break and fall apart.

The three scientists rush to a nearby widow and stand horrified by the presence of the devourer of worlds, Unicron. "Orbulus, look it's Unicron," one of the scientists alerted his lead scientist.

Unicron, the gigantic demon planet, draws closer to the peaceful planet and begins devouring it as it horns savagely grabbing it. The citizens of Lithone run for their lives screaming in horror as the planet eater sucks in their planet and the people themselves. "The ships! Get to the ships! It's our only chance!"

Only the three scientists were the only ones who managed to make it to the escape shuttles and immediately tried to escape. The two ships blast off trying to escape from Unicron but sadly, only one manages to flee from the devourer as one was sucked into the mouth of the planet eater. The gigantic monster devoured Lithone and its people and set a course to another planet.

It is the year 2005, the treacherous Decepticons have conquered the Autobots home planet of Cybertron. However, from secret staging grounds on two of Cybertron moons, the valiant Autobots prepare to retake their homeland. The heroic faction spies on their enemy's military as they didn't know that they're being spied on by their enemies when they sent Laserbeak to the Autobot Moon Base One.

Optimus communicates with his fellow Autobots on the monitor, checking on their progress. "Elita One," he asked her, "how are you and the others holding up on Cybertron?"

"We're doing fine, Optimus," Elita reports to him. "We're holding up well over here. We're staying safe and staying out of Decepticons visor."

"Are you and your team ready for our assault?"

"Yes, Prime. We're ready whenever you are."

"Understood. Standby and wait for our results." Optimus changed calls and links with Sky Lynx. "Sky Lynx, are you and the Wreckers ready for your air assault on Cybertron?"

"Yes, sir," Sky Lynx nodded to his leader. "We're standing by ready for your orders, Optimus."

"Affirmative." Optimus turns his attention to his old friend. "Ironhide, report to me at once."

"Every time I look into a monitor, Prime," Ironhide reported angrily, "my circuits sizzle! When are we gonna start busting Decepti-Chops?!"

"Soon, old friend. But first, I want you to make a special run to Autobot City on Earth."

"But Prime-"

"Listen, Ironhide. We don't have enough energon cubes to power a full-scale assault. Ready the shuttle for launch."

"Your days are numbered now Decepticreeps!"

Ironhide ran outside and transformed into his vehicle mode as he drove by his fellow Autobots. Hubcap, Gears and Sunstreaker help the Dinobots carry weapons and ammunition to transport. The southern accent Autobot arrived at the shuttle where Skids, Outback, and Seaspray were waiting for him.

Meanwhile, Optimus returns to his monitor and turns to Jazz on his screen. "Jazz, report security status."

Autobot Jazz reported security to his leader while Cliffjumper operated a computer near him. "No signs of Decepticons here, Prime."

"What about Moon Base Two?"

Jazz moves over to another computer system to contact the other moon base. "Jazz to Moon Base Two. Jazz to Moon Base Two."

On Moon Base Two, Bumblebee and Spike received their friend's call and answered, "This is Bumblebee and Spike here," the yellow Autobot responded.

"We're about to send up a shuttle. Any Decepticon shenanigans in your area?"

"All clear, Jazz."

Spike activated a transmission on his monitor to talk to Ironhide as the Autobot operated the space shuttle and sitting beside him was Seaspray, who was preparing for lift-off to Earth. "Hey Ironhide, tell my son Daniel I miss him. And tell him not to worry, I'll be coming home as soon as we've kicked Megatron's tail across the galaxy."

"Will do, Spike," Ironhide nodded as he gave him a thumbs up.

Back on Moon Base One, Optimus Prime enters the room with Jazz and Cliffjumper as he stares at the shuttle on the computer monitor. "Cliffjumper," he told him, "commerce countdown."

"5! 4! 3! 2! 1! Blast off!" Once Cliffjumper finished counting down, the space shuttle blasted off and set a course to Earth.

"Now, all we need is a little energon… and a lot of luck," Optimus told his allies as every Autobots at the base cheered and wished their friends good luck.

Then, Laserbeak flew back to Decepticon based on Cybertron to report back to its leaders. "Laserbeak returns, Lord Megatron," Shockwave informs his leader.

"Welcome back, Laserbeak," Megatron greeted the bird as it landed on his arm. "Unlike some of my other warriors, you never fail me." He referred to Starscream as the Seeker was offended by his leader. "Soundwave, playback Laserbeak's finding."

Lazerbeak flew off from Megatron's arm and transformed into his cassette mode and into Soundwave. "As you command, Lord Megatron," the loyal Decepticon obeyed as transformed into his walkman mode and played the recorded video from Laserbeak.

The three Decepticons watch the recorded video of the Autobots operation on Moon Base One and about the recently departed shuttle. Megatron forms sinister smirks as he develops a sinister plot to finally destroy the Autobots once and for all.

Moments later, the Autobot Shuttle is getting close to arriving at Earth as the four Autobots chat among themselves. "Been a long time since I've been at Autobot City," Ironhide told the others. "Have any of ya fellas been there recently?"

"It's really beautiful," Skids told him. "The best city that's ever been made. It took us about three years to construct it. It's a complete masterpiece."

"I heard there's supposed to be some kind of a giant in the city," Seaspray told them.

"A giant," Outback confused. "What do you mean a giant? You mean Omega Supreme?"

"No. Someone bigger than Omega."

"Now ya talking crazy talk," Ironhide told him. "How can we have a licken giant in a city?"

"I don't know, Iron. But it's very possible."

"Autobots like us, anything is possible," Skids cheers.

"I heard that," Outback laughs.

Suddenly, the shuttle begins to shake. "Wh-What the" Ironhide confused. "What's happening to the ship?!"

"Maybe we got hit by an asteroid-"

Outback was cut off when the shuttle exploded right behind them. Megatron tore his way inside the shuttle with his Decepticons by his side. "Megatron," Outback yelled as he got out of his seat. Starscream and the Predacons aboard the ship with their leader. "Decepticons!"

"Die Autobots! Decepticons attack," Megatron yelled as transformed into his gun mode and was held by Starscream who shot Outback right through his chest, killing him instantly.

"Outback no," Seaspray cried as he immediately got out of his seat and blasted his blaster at the Decepticons but missed. In the counter-attack, Razorclaw blasted his weapon right through the Autobot chest, killing him.

"Seaspray," Skids cried as he and Ironhide rushed out of their seats and started blasting at the Decepticons with their multiple weapons while the evil Cybertronians took cover. Skywarp, Rampage, and Divebomb start shooting the heroic Autobots as they're taking damage. Starscream used Megatron to take them down with one shot each.

Megatron transforms back into robot mode as his minions take over the control of the shuttle. "This was almost too easy, Starscream," Megatron cheers.

"Much easier, almighty Megatron," Starscream told his master as he stood by his side. "By attacking the real threat. The Autobots' Moon Base."

"You're an idiot, Starscream!" Megatron walks over the corpses of the Autobots and to the front of the shuttle. "When we slip by their early warning systems in their own shuttle and destroy Autobot City, the Autobots will be vanquished forever!"

Ironhide and Skids slowly tried to get up and tried to take down Megatron but both were easily held down by Razorclaw and Rampage. "Lord Megatron," the leader of the Predacons, informs his master. "It would seem that these two Autobots are still functional."

"What about the others?"

"They're both dead, my lord," Onslaught told him.

"Shall we eliminate them, my master," Razorclaw asked him as he pointed his gun at Ironhide's head.

"Not yet," Megatron stops his henchmen. "I may have some uses for these pests." Megatron laughs sinisterly as the shuttle flies towards Earth.

Meanwhile, on Earth, at Autobot City, the Autobot citizens enjoy their peaceful lives as they wander and perform duties across the city. Ultra Magnus, the leader of the city, examines the city as he watches his fellow Autobots living their daily lives while Prowl walks beside him. "Well, it looks like everyone is doing their duties in the city," Prowl told his commander as he looked through his pad.

"Everything is running perfectly fine," Ultra Magnus asked him.

"Of course. Wheeljack and Blaster are checking the security system. Ratchet, Red Alert, and the Protectobots are stationed at the medical center. Jetfire and the Aerialbots are patrolling the air. Omega Supreme is guarding the Ark. Everything is up to date, sir."

"That's good to hear, Prowl."

"We also received a message from Optimus that he's sending a shuttle to pick up a supply of energon here very soon."

"Understood. Is anyone out of Autobot City?"

"Kup is fixing the road with Hound, Bluestreak, Huffer, and Sideswipe. And Hot Rod and Daniel are out fishing."

"Poor kid. I can't imagine being separated from his father for so long."

"I heard that Spike and Optimus will return once they retake Cybertron."

"I wished I was stationed with Prime and helped him take back Cybertron."

"Hell, we all do. But we all got our parts to play, sir."

Outside of the city, Hot Rod sat next to Daniel as they're fishing together by a lake. "Fishes are jumping today, huh Danno," the young Autobot said to his little friend.

"I guess so," Daniel responded with a sad tone.

"Hey, what's the matter?"

"Ah… I don't know…"

"Come on. You can tell me."

"Guess I just… missed my dad…"

"Don't worry, Danno. Spike will be back soon but as a great hero!"

"Really?"

"Yeah! He'll be back with Prime after they take back Cybertron and defeat Megatron and his goons!"

"That sounds awesome! Thanks, Hot Rod."

"Anytime, kid." Hot Rod fishing pole starting to pull. "Oh hey! I got a bite!" He immediately starts to bring it in and pull up a big fish to human terms.

"Woah! Look at the size of it!"

"Yep! It's a whopper alright!"

Then, Daniel's pad starts to beep in his pocket, and pulls it out. "Hot Rod! Forget about the stupid fish! A shuttle is coming in! Let's watch it land!"

"Talk about dull, Daniel." Hot Rod let go of the fish back into the lake.

"Hurry up or we'll miss it!" The kid ran to his hoverboard and flew off as Hot Rod followed him. The kid was flying recklessly trying to show off until he crashed into a boulder. Luckily, the Autobot was there to catch him in his hands.

"If you're gonna ride, Danno, ride in style!"

Hot Rod transforms into his car mode with Daniel riding inside him as they drive off. They both drive-by Autobot City as the kid starts hitting his steering wheel to get his attention. "Hey! Let's stop here!"

"Why settle for a peek, Daniel? When you can see everything from lookout mountain."

Not too far away from Hot Rod, Kup was directing a roadblock sign to Bluestreak, Sideswipe, Huffer, and Hound. "A little bit to the left," the old Autobot told the others. "A little bit more."

"Can we hurry this up," Huffer annoyed. "I got plans, you know!"

"Calm down, Huffer," Sideswipe told him. "We already know that you have nothing to do."

"Alright alright," Kup told them. "That'll do." As Kup and the others were about to take a break, Hot Rod suddenly came in full speed crashing through the roadblock sign which almost hit the veteran. "Turbo revving, young punk! I'll straighten you out yet!"

Aboard the hijack Autobot Shuttle, Ironhide was shoved up against the controls of the shuttle by Razorclaw while Ramjet and Dirge held down Skids. "Now," Megatron demanded the wounded Autobot, "send in your access code! Now!"

"I…" Ironhide spoke weakly. "Ah'll never betray my Autobot brothers and sister, Decepticreeps!"

"Do it now! Or your friend will die!" Shockwave and Starscream aimed their blasters at Skids.

"Do-Don't do it, Ironhide," Skids cried. "They'll just kill me anyway!"

"Do it! Or else!"

Ironhide slowly put in the access codes and transmitted them to Autobot City as he lowered his head in shame. Megatron nodded to the one-eyed Decepticon as Shockwave executed Skids right in front of them. "SKIDS NO," the wounded Autobot cried. "You damn murders!"

"Now," Megatron laughs as he aims his cannon at Ironhide, "you'll share his fate. Prepare to die!"

Hot Rod and Daniel finally arrived at the lookout mountain as the child burst out of the Autobot and ran to the telescope to examine the shuttle closer. The kid saw there's something suspicious about the shuttle and immediately told the Autobot. "Hot Rod look! There's a hole in the shuttle!"

"What," Hot Rod confused as he magnified his vision and saw the back of Sunstorm from the hole of the shuttle. "Decepticons!" The young Autobot begins to open fire from both hands at the shuttle as it hits the Seeker at his arm, causing the Decepticon to fall.

The Decepticons are alerted from being shot at as Megatron was furious about being caught. "You idiots," he yelled as he knocked Ironhide away with his cannon out of rage. "I told you, nitwits, to seal that hole! Open fire!"

Kup and the others looked at the shuttle and witnessed what's happening. "What's that darn fool doing?!"

"Are those purple lasers," Bluestreak said.

"There are Decepticons aboard that shuttle," Hound warned them.

"The rest of you get back to Autobot City," Kup told them.

"What about you," Sideswipe confused as the others were transforming into their vehicle form.

"I'm gonna go help Hot Rod!"

The Decepticons tried to fire the young Autobot but Hot Rod managed to lay heavy damage to the shuttle, sending it crashing. The Decepticons left the shuttle and headed to the city as their leader shouted in anger, "ATTACK!!!" Megatron fired at the foundation of the cliff and caused Hot Rod and Daniel to fall. Fortunately, the heroic Autobot immediately grabs the child and jumps to a nearby hill.

Blitzwing landed below while Chop Shop flew by and hovered above the young Autobot. "Come on down, Autobrat," the Decepticon yelled as he transformed into his tank mode and aimed at Hot Rod.

Luckily, Kup saw the tank Blitzwing positioning his turret at the young Autobot as he quickly jumped onto the Decepticon as he tried to alter the target from hitting Hot Rod. The interference by the old Autobot resulted in the tank Decepticon firing at the flying Insecticon. The falling Chop Shop crashed down and then bumped into his ally and out of the two Autobots' way.

"Huh… Not bad for an old-timer," Hot Rod complimented his fellow Autobot.

"Old timer," Kup said unamused. "That's something you'll never be if you don't get back to the city."

"Save it, Kup!" Starscream flew down and tried to fire at the two Autobots. "Let's burn rubber!" Hot Rod and Kup both transform into their vehicle modes as they both drive off to the city while Autobot City is being attacked by the Decepticons.
