A DAY EARLIER IN TOKYO…

The automatic sliding door parted to welcome the arrival of class 3A's teacher. Aizawa lazily took in his surroundings; the furnished room was air conditioned with seats arranged in rows and columns and six TV sets hung on the walls showcasing the race through the connected surveillance cameras.

"Ah Shouta." A relaxed voice called his attention. He turned to see a masked white haired man waving affably at him. "You made it."

"I'm just surprised you got here before me, Kakashi." He remarked easily to which the masked man chuckled.

"Give me a break, Shouta. I'm not always late." He then gave Aizawa a good look. "Come to think of it, you look less stressed out than usual."

"Is that so?"

Kakashi was right; Aizawa's usual dishelved hair was brushed, trimmed and neatly tied up in a ponytail. His eyes looked less sleep deprived, he actually shaved and his voice sounded more alive. He was like a walking ray of sunshine.

"Well I have the time off and since this training camp isn't my school's activity that means I don't get paper work that keeps me up at night."

"Hmmm…that's nice, this is a good change for you."

"I just feel sorry for the person who's doing the paperwork for this."

The sliding door opened yet again revealing other instructors. One in particular with white hair and a blindfold paused mid-step and gaped at Aizawa who scowled.

Dear god…

"Oh, you guys are back, did you get the kikufuku?" He asked oblivious to what had transpired between Aizawa and one of the arrivers.

"SHOUTA-KUUUUUN!" The blindfolded instructor cried with glee as he dropped his customer bags and rushed up to Aizawa with open arms.

"Tch." Aizawa smartly sidestepped the hug and took refuge behind Kakashi who was already enjoying a dumpling with his mask down and a giddy expression on his face. "Get away from me, Gojo."

"C'mon Shouta-kun you know you can call me Satoru." Gojo said all smiles and flowers. "You've missed me haven't you?"

As irritating as always. Aizawa shot him an irritated look. "I detest you."

"Aw, I knew you missed me!" He said with childlike zest and made to chase Aizawa around for a hug until he was snatched by his rear collar and suspended into the air like he weighed a kitten.

"Oi Satoru, stop making a damn ruckus. We're trying to enjoy our mochi!" A dark haired muscular man previously smoking a cigar warned Gojo comically.

"Hai, Hai~" Gojo said with a grin sounding the least remorseful.

"Ma a, the four of us hanging out again just like old times." Kakashi sighed contentedly.

"Kaka-kun, you sound old."

"Well that's how you sound when you're getting old, Satoru." Kakashi retorted with his famous eyes smile as he put his mask back up. "I'm just glad we get to meet again."

"We'd probably be stuck with each other if our students all pass the race." Yami said as he puffed some smoke, Gojo chuckled.

"You mean when our students pass."

"I never said they won't." Yami mutters relaxing in his seat. "My kids are idiots but when they get their heads in the game, they're a terrifying bunch."

"Same for mine." Aizawa agreed. "Once they really get into it, they're as scary as hell."

"You're wrong…" Izuku ground out, catching Mia off guard. "You can't blame anyone but yourself for giving up so easily!"

Mia clenched her teeth and fist. "How dare you-"

"You have absolutely no excuse for that!" He cut her off as he stood upright, a different aura burning off of him. "My classmate, Shinsou had the same problem with the entrance exams but instead of giving up; he held on to his dreams and soon got transferred to hero course. That's what you should have done!"

This mind manipulation quirk made me feel like she had constant control of the world around me, all the pain and experiences felt so real. This quirk is so amazing, it's frightening. He smirked .

"Now I've seen enough, so we can call this off now."

Mia's brows raised up to her hairline at Izuku's effrontery –the bastard. Who does he think he is to command her like that? She's the one in control!

"Guess you just haven't had enough pain." She snapped her fingers and the eels got to work again however, to her dismay he kept walking out the pool daringly.

"How are you not feeling that?!" she quickly changed the scene back to falling boulders but this time, the rocks turned to dust on contact with his body. She grits her teeth in frustration as he walked on with an unfazed expression.

How is he doing that, she trembled. Could it be that he found a weakness? She gasped when the scene turned to a dark abyss like the first time…but wait, why did this happen, she hadn't done anything. The only thing she could see now was the green light Izuku emitted; he raised a finger and pointed at her.

"Found you." He said to her confusion only for her to realized that he had removed her from hiding. She was no longer invisible to him and the thought scared her. Her blue eyes shook with fear as he smiled crookedly. "Now that I've found you," he gave her a smoldering look with his glowing green eyes."You can leave my mind alone."

She was immediately expelled from his mind after he flicked his fingers. In reality, she was thrown back by a strong force into a tree while Izuku woke from his sleep.

Slowly, he raised his eyelids to gaze at her resting form; her head lolled to the side, her neck could get hurt like that. With a grunt, he summoned strength into his body that had gone a bit stiff and rose to his feet, took her in his arms and laid her gently on the grass.

Watching her, he noticed her stir and her eyes blinked open eyeing him for a few seconds before tearing up. She turned on her side to avoid his concerned gaze.

"What's wrong, are you hurt?" he asked when she had refused to say a word. He was worried he might have gone a little too far and hurt her badly. Still, she said nothing to him and he sighed and relaxed in his sitting position before smiling.

"Your quirk's amazing." He told her sincerely causing her sobs to cease. She sat up and gave him an inquisitive look.

"What?"

"You heard me." He smirked. "I think you'd make a great hero with your quirk, it's really powerful –just… make it less scary, okay?"

"What makes you say that?" she asked crossly chewing the inside of her cheek. "I'm not even in a prestigious hero school like UA."

"Is that really all you care about?" he retorted cocking his head. "Going to a prestigious hero school doesn't necessarily make anyone into a great hero. I know many top pros today who didn't attend UA." He bumped his fist on his chest. "It's all about passion or drive. That's what really makes a hero."

Due to her stubbornness on the matter, he sighed and said. "Fine, if you don't ever believe you can be a great hero someday, then I'll believe in you so don't let me down, okay?"

Mia suddenly started to feel warm; she turned away quickly so Izuku won't see that she flushed red. How could he say something like that so carefreely?

"Okay…" she muttered after staying mute for so long. "I won't let you down, Deku."

He grinned. "That's great to hear!"

"Hey." Bakugo's gruff tone called to Izuku who seemed smug and relaxed, his scowl deepened.

"You done flirting already, 'cause we got a race to win."

Mia gasped as she spotted her unconscious classmate in Bakugo's grasp. "Shiba!"

"He's fine; I just knocked him out the moment we both woke up." He told Mia calmly as he leaned Sano on a tree.

So Bakugo was still sharp enough to take Sano down after he woke from the spell; UA students really aren't just talk.

"He was a huge pain in the ass but that's what made him such a great sport. I haven't had a good fight like that in a while."

"Shiba's going to be glad you said that about him." Mia said with a sincere smile to Bakugo. "He really looks up to you."

Silence was his initial response as this revelation caught him a bit off guard and warmed his heart. Dammit…With an eye roll he threw his face to the side releasing a huff. "Whatever." He turned and began to walk ahead. "Deku get your ass over here or I'll kill you!"

The greenette hurried in his steps in response in order to catch up to his blonde rival but before they disappeared in the distance, he turned and called, "Akira-san! Don't ever give up for me, okay?"

The brunette blushed again but this time because she was happy; "I won't!" she waved back. She was truly happy, happy that someone believed in her.

Izuku grinned before running off with Bakugo who had a small smile of his own on his face.

Since most of the problems were out of the way, they were faster and hell bent on overtaking the opposing flag bearer in the lead. Tokyo was already in their sights and the sun began to rise slowly as dawn was coming forth. They soon spotted their target who was horrified to say the least to see them. Clicking his tongue in annoyance his transformed his limbs to vines and swung of.

Izuku and Bakugo shared a look of surprise before smiling impishly. Their opponents knew this guy was obviously no match for them in terms of speed and had to employ Sano and Mia to waylay them. But now that they were out of the way, the two top students went ahead to dash past their opponent, leaving him in their dust and reach the finish line. Izuku took out the flag and hung it onto the pole before falling gracefully to the ground lying flat. With a huge sigh he grinned.

"We did it, we passed." It'd been about a day's journey but they finally made it.

"Jeez, are you guys okay?" a voice that wasn't Bakugo's asked. Izuku sat up and took a look around for the first time since he got there before realizing that they weren't alone. There were six flag poles (three were already flying their flags) and a guy their age with dark hair, crimson eyes and sharp teeth just like Kirishima's. He had a look of concern on his face as he watched them pant heavily on the ground. Compared to them, he looked less roughed up. "You look exhausted."

"Who the hell are ya, razor dentures?" Bakugo out rightly asked the guy who arched a brow at his name choice.

"Asking my name and then giving me one?"

"He's obviously an idiot."

"You're not one to talk, Arthur." Razor dentures quipped at the blonde who had just popped up from behind him.

"So…" Izuku spoke up. "Who are you?"

Razor dentures grinned. "I'm Shinra Kusakabe from the Fire Force academy."

"The Fire Force…" Bakugo annunciated donning a thoughtful look all of a sudden as he approached Shinra. "You're the guys who take care of those combusted humans and the ashen flames…something?"

"You know them, Kacchan?"

"My uncle works with 'em. Asked if I would come join when I graduate middle school, but I already had my sights on being a hero."

"But you should've considered it; I mean I've seen your Quirk." He creased his brows and then raised one. "That's what it's called right?"

"Yeah."

"It's amazing Fire Force material and you'd totally top our class if you were at the academy."

Bakugo's cheeks were already reddening from Shinra's innocent flattery and struggled a bit with words. "Y-yeah thanks –I mean- pfft, of course I know I'm amazing…"

I've never seen him this giddy in a while… Izuku mused, staring at him knowingly.

"So, what are your names?" Shinra asked Bakugo and Izuku.

"The name's Katsuki Bakugo."

"And I'm Izuku Midoriya –but you can call me Deku." Izuku introduced himself with a friendly wave.

"This ass for brains is my partner, Arthur Boyle –unfortunately- pleasure to meet you."

Arthur huffed proudly. "You forgot to add; Knight king of Camelot and captain of the order of the round table."

The silence that followed after was out of their pure horror for his idiocy. Shinra just heaved a sigh and looked back at a stunned Izuku and Bakugo.

"Like I said, ass for brains."

"Anyway," Izuku drawled mostly to Bakugo, having recovered from that. "From the looks of things, we're second place." Shinra begged to differ actually.

"Uh, as much as I'd love to claim first place, I'd also have to disagree." He corrected and pointed his thumb at himself and Arthur. " We're second and you're third."

"Hah?" Bakugo's brows knitted in annoyance, he'd already been a bit disappointed that they hadn't come in first but now they're third? "Then who the fuck came first, I don't see them or their fuckin' fla-" his ruby eyes caught sight of a forest green flag with a leaf symbol proudly fluttering in the wind. He made a surprised sound at the back of his throat.

"But…where is the first finisher?" Izuku asked looking very puzzled.

"I don't know, I got here not too long before you guys and this is day break." Shinra analyzed. "So I'm thinking he got here either at midnight or before that." His nervous tic kicked in and he smiled while Izuku and Bakugo stood there shocked. "Crazy right?" He remarked as they stared at the flag in awe wondering exactly who this guy was.

The fact that he arrived earlier meant he was obviously faster, or stronger if he faced as many obstacles as they did and the thing was that, he faced even worse.

"Who the fuck is this guy?" Bakugo quietly asked himself and then clicked his tongue right after. "Whatever, I'm sure he's just some huge asshole."

Shortly after, Izuku, Bakugo, Shinra and Arthur were lead into a minibus by those guys wearing the same suits and the three remaining flag bearers arrived and hung their flags one by one ending the race as all six school flags were now erected. After that, the victors of the race were taken to separate hostels, where they rested and cleaned up to get ready for the next day. The six victorious schools were then transported to a facility somewhere in the outskirts of Tokyo. A campsite that was vast with trees for coverage and cabins for shelter.

Class 3A had delayed getting into their own vehicle because Mineta, who had tried peeking at the girls changing was caught by the manager herself and Aizawa had to apologize. As a result, they were quite late compared to other schools.

Of course Aizawa was livid and showed his displeasure but, he was proud of them for exceeding his expectations in the race and he let them know it.

It was high noon by the time they got to the camp site. Izuku could see all the students of the different six schools standing outside their buses. Many had few students, one even had three and they wore interesting uniforms. It consisted of black long sleeved shirts with black pants/skirt, and same color of shoes however, one of them, with pink hair he had a red hood underneath the black shirt and wore red shoes instead setting him apart from his two classmates. The students looked like they were close friends as the red hood had his arms around both their shoulders while cheerfully chatting with them.

All six schools were soon taken to a hall for a little meeting with the head instructor and host, a muscular man with peculiar dark spiky hair; three bangs hanging to the right of his forehead and two bangs hanging to the left. He mounted the stage and cleared his throat away from the Mic before grinning.

"Good evening everyone, welcome to the interschool Tokyo training camp. I'm your host and head instructor," he raised a hand in a friendly wave. "Goku."

"Goku?" Izuku raised a brow and touched his chin. "Where have I heard that name…?"

"You know him? 'Cause I do." Uraraka whispered to him.

"Really?"

"Mhm." She nodded with a smile. "He's Son Goku, space defender."

"Wait, you mean he's the Son Goku who's actual name is Kakarot and code name Goku, the one who defended us from the meteor attack in 2006 and represented earth in the tournament of power, fought and defeated alien emperor Frieza and protected our world with his life on several occasions – That Son Goku?!" He rambled but managed to be quiet while doing so. His heart raced when Ochako nodded, he couldn't believe it. The Son Goku was going to be their instructor in this training camp? Holy shit, he was so glad he hadn't failed the race.

"...and now it's time for the top finisher of the race, Naruto Uzumaki to give a welcoming speech!" Goku said stretching his hand at someone seated among the crowd.

In response, a tall guy with yellow-blonde hair rose to his feet for all to see. "Yes." He nodded as he approached the stage.

"That's him?" Kirishima asked as he gazed at the blonde walking with a confident smile towards the stage. Bakugo had told him about the mysterious top finisher, so he was quite excited to see who it was.

"He's gonna give a speech?" Kaminari asked incredulously. "I mean he possibly didn't expect to finish first right?"

"I knew it, he's down right cocky." Bakugo sneered.

"Did he have time to prepare?" Hagakure asked worriedly knowing how speeches were a bit challenging to prepare for.

"I don't know but from the way he's striding up that stage, I think he did." Ojiro shrugged.

The murmurs quieted down when the blonde finally mounted the stage. He cleared his throat like Goku did and Izuku began to think that maybe this was some kind of ritual one does before talking into a microphone.

"Fellow powered students, I greet you all." He began with a smile. "First I wanna start by thanking our host for providing such an elusive environment where people like us are free to improve on our special talents."

Everyone seated in that hall was awestruck. Not only did he have a calm composure, he literally gave them a two pages speech without making errors or stuttering even once. It was like he was having a conversation with everyone. Izuku just admired the way he used only simple words in his speech and how he grabbed their attention with his smile, he found himself wanting to know more. How does he do it? He's the top finisher, what makes him so strong?

"And finally, it's my greatest wish that we can achieve one of the very many goals of this exercise; to foster friendship, partnership, camaraderie and teamwork. Thank you."

The hall was quiet before everyone erupted in a standing ovation. The blond bowed slightly before dismounting the stage.

Over at the instructor's seats, Gojo chuckled. "Never guessed he'd be able to pull it off. That kid Naruto is one smart student you've got there, Kaka-kun."

Kakashi only sighed. "If only he was smart."

"Huh?"

"He's just good at giving speeches, it's no big deal." Was all he gave as an answer leaving Gojo confused.

"Wow, he really pulled it off!" Kirishima said with an impressed grin and Sero shrugged.

"He did have some time to prepare; he must be one of those really smart guys."

"Yeah you're right."

Izuku pondered on that; maybe he did have a whole day and was quiet brilliant to crown it all, explains why he could really present it.

Subsequently, Goku went ahead to introduce his assisting head and the six other instructors which were teachers of the students who had succeeded in finishing the race. While they were being introduced, Gojo went ahead to wave at the crowd with childish delight. Kakashi chuckled, Yami sighed, Tengen followed Gojo, Benimaru was oblivious and Aizawa just looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him up since he was standing right by Gojo. By the time the meeting had come to an end, dusk began to approach the campsite.

The campsite was a vast clearing in the forest; there were more than ten cabins, a cafeteria, a lake a short distance away, a store house also not too far and bathhouses. The cabins were divided into three units; the males, the instructors and the females. Behind each unit was a bathhouse, the instructors were the partition between the sexes. There was another building (a large one) opposite the cabins that resembled a dojo but more modern. And in the center of it all was a camp fire; around it were logs which served as benches.

The cabin Izuku was assigned to had six beds which were different from others that had eight. He was a bit shocked when he got in because the tall blonde who gave the speech was in the room sitting on one of the beds with his luggage by his side. So that equaled to him being his roommate.

Izuku suddenly became nervous about the idea; he hadn't expected to see Naruto Uzumaki so soon.

Naruto on the other hand, was chatting animatedly with the pink haired guy he had seen earlier. They both seemed excited to be talking to each other because they hadn't even noticed him walk in. The pink haired guy was the one who finally saw him first. He raised both brows in alarm and then smiled apologetically.

"Sorry dude, didn't see you there. Welcome to the crib." He said casually but in a friendly manner with a wave of his hand.

"N-no it's fine. Thanks."

Meanwhile, Naruto squinted his blue eyes and cocked his head at Izuku, giving him a once over. "You're Izuku…Midoriya right?"

Hah, how does he know my name? He blinked and kept silent due to his apparent surprise for a few moments before nodding awkwardly. "Y-yeah that's me."

The pink haired guy had his eyes wide and mouth in an 'o'. "Oh shit! That's him?!" he hopped to his feet. "We get to be in the same room with an actual hero!"

Izuku blushed from the attention. Jeez, I knew I was popular but not this popular, I hardly even know them. He scratched his cheek in a nervous gesture as the pink haired approached him and gave him his hand.

"I'm Yuji Itadori, great meeting ya, Deku."

"Likewise."

"You look like you're gonna crap yourself out of excitement. You sure you're not a fan boy?" A voice sneered between Yuji and Izuku as they shook hands. Izuku's eyes darted around the room self-consciously looking for the speaker while Yuji rolled his eyes.

"Shut the fuck up." He drawled and slapped a palm over the back of his hand. An eye and a pair of lips appeared under his left eye right after and Izuku jerked back in shock when it started talking. "What's wrong green punk, never seen a guy with two faces before?" It sniggered before Yuji clapped a hand over it and sighed.

"Sorry, he just does that a lot." He apologized to a shocked Izuku. "His name is Sukuna; he's a curse who lives inside me."

"Hey there Broccoli boy, you wanna know a secret?" Sukuna sprung out again. "We got stuck like this because he went and ate one of my fing-"

"Damn it, Sukuna!"

Izuku had expected to get a little anxious on his first day but he never though he'd be this startled however, the sight of Yuji trying to muffle Sukuna's laughter was amusing and it made him feel at home.

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki, ya know." The blonde went ahead to introduce himself with his arms behind his head and lips stretching in a toothy smile –even though Goku had mentioned his name back at the meeting. His smile morphed into an apologetic one soon after. "Brace yourself though, you're gonna see a lot more weirder stuff than this."

"O-okay." He nodded not quite sure what to expect next.

"Well, three's a crowd. We should go to the bathhouse and get cleaned up while the others get back here."

"Yeah, the bathhouse!" Yuji cried with glee while Izuku remembered there were supposed to be three others.

Their missing roommates already had their luggage by their beds meaning they had arrived before he did. The question was why they weren't here now; maybe they'd gone off to get something?

"You finished first in the race, right Naruto?" Yuji asked the spiky blonde on their way to the bathhouse reminding Izuku of such a powerhouse Naruto was considered to be. "What were you doing while you waited?"

"Well while you guys were on your way here, I was taken to this cool place Goku-san owns.

"What is it?" Izuku asked in an interested tone as he looked expectantly at Naruto who was equally excited to tell.

"It's a training room, in space, ya know." Both green and pink haired guys gawked like five year old kids listening to their grandpa's tall tales.

"Damn, you got to go to space, I'm so jealous." Yuji admitted to Naruto who shrugged.

"We could get there quickly with Goku-san's 'instant transmission'-"

Izuku cut in like a freight train. "Instant transmission; the ability that lets him teleport to different locations at the speed of light. You got to experience that!?" he asked Naruto with stars in his eyes.

"Y-yeah…you really know a lot about Goku-san."

"I follow a lot of heroes."

"Cool," Naruto smiled and went ahead to narrate the tour around Goku's spaceship -. "And then, there was this place where we could change Earth's gravity."

"The gravity chamber!"

Naruto chortled. "Do I really need to tell you about this, then?" He asked, causing Izuku to cover his mouth, feeling guilty that he might have been rambling.

"Sorry…"

Naruto brows flew up in alarm. "No I –I didn't mean it that way, ya know. I was only kidding!" He tried apologizing to Izuku who began to chuckle.

"Sorry…again, you can continue." Naruto was frozen for a fraction of a second before he too began to chuckle.

"Okay, so after I finished the tour, I endured intense training from Vegeta-san and the other instructors, ya know." He raised a brow at them when he saw their expressions turn grim and smiled apologetically. "H-hey, don't look like that."

All three sighed in content as they soaked in the hot water. Their nerves tingled to the soothing sensation of the heating bath. Izuku reclined against the edge of the bath, eyes closed and water up to his torso. His lips parted in a relieved sigh that rose up with the steam.

"Man, what a great way to start training camp." Yuji sighed.

"No kiddin'." Naruto agreed. "It's probably gonna be tough from tomorrow so it's best we get settled now, ya know."

"That's true." Izuku said and then sat up. "Speaking of, Uzumaki-kun what were Goku-san, Vegeta-san and the other instructors like?"

"Hey just Naruto's fine –and yeah- Goku-san's a pretty neat instructor, ya know." Then his expression soured and he turned his back to them. "However Vegeta-san…"

"Damn, was it really that bad?" Yuji asked Naruto's back. "How were you even able to write and rehearse your speech anyway?"

"Write my speech?" Naruto finally turned back to them looking amused and then began to laugh. Izuku and Yuji were just confused then. "I didn't write it."

"Yeah, I mean you must've been too busy and everything."

Naruto laughed harder, swatting his hand at the air. "Nah you're not getting it. Even if I had all the time in the world there's no way I could write a speech by myself. I'm way too dumb for that, ya know!"

Izuku and Yuji just stared on completely stunned.

He says he's dumb like it's no big deal and laughs about it…

Wait, he's dumb too?

"Then how did you pull it off?"

"Well I…" Naruto looked up in thought before smiling and gesturing to his heart. "Said everything I felt in here."

"Wow…" Yuji smirked. "You really had that smart guy look back there."

"I'm not that dumb at least," he shrugged. "My buddy, Shikamaru says I'm a genius on the battlefield but my IQ for academics should be no higher than a snail's, ya know." he said with a sheepish grin.

Izuku's raised both brows at that. Wow, I can't even tell Kaminari he's dumb.

Yuji just chuckled. "Harsh."

Some newcomers arrived –three to be precise- already in their towels. One grinned from ear to ear as he walked in, taking in his surroundings.

"Woah-ho-ho, look how big this place is!" "Kusakabe!"

"'Sup, Deku."

"What took you guys so long, we waited but you didn't get back." Yuji asked Shinra whose smile disappeared.

Jerking his thumb at a short muscular blonde, he said, "This idiot got lost so I had to help find him."

"Shinra, don't call me an idiot, you would've gotten lost too!" The shorty retorted in a yell.

"You know you can fly right, you would've just done that and found your way back, Asta." A red head said with a perplexed look.

"Oh shit you're right." Shinra heaved an exasperated sigh. "Idiot."

"Oi, I'm not an idiot, you talented jerk!" Asta snapped again, pointing a indignant finger at Shinra who just ignored him and entered the bath.

"Wasn't that a compliment?" Izuku asked him in an amused tone.

"Don't mind him; he'll just get even more annoying."

"Honestly, the other instructors weren't as intense as Vegeta-san was," Naruto said with a short laugh, continuing from their previous conversations. "But that doesn't mean they aren't crazy."

"What exactly where they like?"

"For starters, Satoru-sensei's a really fun guy and his teaching method's always practical but…" his expression soured again. "He takes thing way too far, ya know."

"Tell me about it," Yuji concurred. "I bet he warped you to some place and showed you how to fight curses."

"That's exactly what he did!"

Yuji's eyes flew open. Though he had guessed it, he didn't really expect to be very accurate. "What?!" He could NOT believe that guy! "Can you even see curses?"

"No, I can only sense them."

"Sense them?" Yuji didn't get it; wasn't it only those with cursed energy that could see and fight curses or was he getting it wrong?

"I can sense sinister and negative emotions, ya know." Naruto clarified with a sour smile. "That's what kept me going. Other than that, I was pretty stuck. I wasn't able to hurt it."

"Luckily he dropped in in the nick of time with some kikufuku, ya know."

Izuku blinked. "He left you to buy mochi?" And shared and shared an incredulous look and a smile with Tanjiro realizing they spoke in unison.

Yuji just sighed. "Now you understand what I go through."

"I did learnt something, ya know. That there's a lot I never knew and have to learn. Satoru-sensei taught me that." Naruto admitted with a cheerful look.

"You're right." Izuku agreed."Before now I thought the only powered beings who protect others were superheroes."

"They are so not!" Asta piped up. "We magic knights fight devil's and underworldly beings heroes can't fight or trace!"

"Jujutsu Sorcerers take care of the curses flying around." Yuji added as he leaned back on the edge of the bath. "You heard Naruto, only we can fight them."

"And the demons that come out once in a while are decapitated of by the demon slayers. They can't be destroyed by anything except the sun and our special swords."

Izuku gulped. "Decapitated, destroyed...as in killed?"

Everyone went quiet at that. It wasn't a new found knowledge to them that heroes never killed and an upcoming hero like Izuku probably never knew anything about their different fields of work hence his dismay.

"I know what you're thinking." Tanjiro sighed and donned a slightly agitated look. His eyes glaring down at the hot water as he clenched his fists. "But if we don't kill them, they'll just keep killing other people."

Izuku didn't know what happened to Tanjiro, but his body language told him that he'd experienced something really tragic because of those demons and is struggling with his vengeful heart as he is also sorry for the them at the same time.

"The combusted humans are no different." Shinra added looking the same as Tanjiro. "Infernals were once human but they need to be killed for their own sakes and the people around them."

The bath was deadly silent as Izuku wondered how the people around him who'd killed one or two people could still carry on after that -and with smiles even.

"You guys...are really strong."

They all looked up to see Izuku's honest to God smile that morphed into a grin.

"The idea of killing sounds scary, I know. But you're doing it to protect others, right? And it's not like I'm even worthy of judging you..." Memories of an intent to kill Tomura Shigaraki, the new All for one over Bakugo's corpse flashed in his mind. "I've wanted to kill someone so bad too, so I'm not strange to that feeling either." Then he chuckled "We've got that in common!"

His chuckles then graduated to laughter and soon they all joined in as the sound was pretty contagious.

"I'm glad we get to train together, ya know!" Naruto grinned. "I'm looking forward to tomorrow."

"Me too!" Asta yelled with raised arms.

"Same here." Shinra shrugged.

"Hey, I'll survive tomorrow 'cause of you guys!" Yuji said and Tanjiro nodded with a smile.

"Can't wait!"

They all had difficult past, experiences, lives at most and hid them all with a bright smile to keep the people they care about happy. It's what brought them together. Above all, Izuku was glad they were roommates, glad that he'd found people like him. Tomorrow was gonna be awesome.
