House of Grief:
The lights were out in Anubis house, Amber was screaming and then Alfie started screaming too.
"What is it?" Asked Amber.
"My hand!" Yelled Alfie.
"What's wrong with your hand?" Asked Amber.
"You're squeezing my hand, let go of it!" Yelled Alfie.
"Sorry, but you don't have to shout, said Amber, as she let go of Alfie's hand.
"Everybody just calm down. It's probably just a fuse that blew. I'll go check it out," said Victor jr.
"I'll go with you," said Alfie.
"Victor, be careful," said Trudy.
"Caution is the mother of all China, be vigilant," said Isaac.
Alfie got up and walked out of the living room with Victor Jr. to check out what happend to the lights.
"There are uninvited guests here, I can feel it," said Isaac.
A few minutes later, Alfie was standing in front of the cellar door, while Victor jr. was taking a look at the fuse box.
"Victor?" Asked Alfie.
"What?" Asked Victor jr.
"Do you believe in ghosts?' Asked Alfie.
"No, of course I don't. Ghosts don't exist, said Victor jr.
Alfie looked at the front door and saw that it was open.
"Victor, the front door is open, how can that be? asked Alfie.
"I haven't the faintest idea. There's nothing wrong with the fuses, Maybe something with the cables, said Victor jr.
Victor jr. walked towards the garden and Alfie went back into the living room. When Alfie came in he saw that there were everyone was lighting candles and putting them done on the saloon table. Nina grabbed a photo of Fabian and put it down on the table.
"Now everything has failed again," said Trudy.
"Trudy it was a really good idea," said Eddie.
"Yeah?" Asked Trudy.
"I thought so too, I'm really glad I'm here," said Mara.
"And it didn't fail at all," said Amber.
"No, and the soup's still warm, so we can still eat it," said Patricia.
"And the candles will only make it better," said KT.
"I also think the soup tastes a lot better by candlelight," joked Jerome.
"Fabian would have loved it," said Nina.
"Thank you," said Trudy.
"What's your guys founds memory of Fabian?" Asked Mara.
"Fabian was such a sweet boy, it's so hard to choose just one," said Trudy.
"Remember when he was dressed up as the Statue of Liberty?" Asked Otis
"Yeah, he did that for my theme day," said Amber.
"I laughed so hard when I saw him in that dress," said Alfie.
"I think everybody did, said Jerome.
"Even though it was quite embarrassing he still did it to help me with my theme day," said Amber.
"But was just how he was, he always wanted to help everyone. Always putting everyone before himself," said Aaron.
"He did pull it off though, he had quite the legs for that dress," joked Jerome.
The residents, Trudy and Isaac started to laugh and for that moment the forgot their sadness and enjoyed going over the memories they had with Fabian.
"Joy and sorrow belong together, they are part of the same circle and they follow each other like day and night," said Isaac.
"That's really beautiful," said Trudy.
"Nina's right, if Fabian had been here, he would've loved it too," said Eddie.
Suddenly there was a gust of wind that blew through the living room and gently brushed against the flames of the candles. Everyone was silent and looked admiringly at the candles and the picture of Fabian. Victor Jr. walked into the living room.
"That filthy goat bit through the power lines," said Victor jr.
All the residents and Trudy started laughing.
"Oh Delphi," said Isaac.
A few hours later and the club, except for Joy was in Nina and Amber's room. Nina and Amber were lighting candles.
"And even Victor was relaxed, I think that was the first time since I have lived here," said Nina.
"Did you guys also feel like Fabian was there tonight?" Asked Amber.
"Yes, I did," said Nina.
"I always thought Uncle Isaac was special, but now he's really special," said Alfie.
"And a round of applause for Delphi too," said Aaron.
"They're really make great team, just like us," said Alfie.
Amber hugged Nina and Alfie, while Patricia picked up the map and laid it on the bed and immediately saw that there was a new clue on it.
"Look," said Patricia.
"Huh," said Amber.
"A new clue," said Alfie.
In the meantime, Victor Jr. had gone to the cellar and walked over the mirror and Victor sr. appeared.
"So finally done celebrating?" Asked Victor sr.
"Celebrating?" Asked Victor jr.
"As long as you're having a good time, we'll be left to rot," said Victor sr.
"Good time? Father, do you know what happened?" Asked Victor jr.
"I'm sure you won't mourn when your old dad disappears, but that awful bird of yours..," said Victor sr. but he got interrupted by his son.
"Fabian has died, Father. What should I have done? I'll get that cottage back, but I'm only doing it for Corbierre. And if you threaten to hurt Corbierre again, then...," said Victor jr.
Suddenly Victor sr. began to clap and Victor jr. looked at his father in surprise.
"It took a long time, but finally I see a real Rodemaar in you," said Victor sr. "Enough time wasted, find the mini house now!"
At that same time in the kitchen, Trudy and Isaac were looking out the window at the stars.
"Beautiful isn't it?" Asked Isaac.
"Yes, it is beautiful," said Trudy.
"Look at that one," said Isaac, as he pointed to the sky.
"Yeah, that's a beauty," said Trudy.
Trudy walked back to the sink and continued washing dishes, Isaac walked over to her and dried the dishes.
"It was so beautiful Isaac," said Trudy.
"Shared soup is half a sorrow," said Isaac.
"This was just what the kids needed. There is a very hard time to come I fear. And when I think about that, I don't know if I could handle it alone," said Trudy.
"Would you like it if I stayed little longer?" Asked Isaac.
"Are you serious?" Asked Trudy.
"A load of dishes is half a load," said Isaac.
"Oh, thank you," said Trudy.
Trudy gave Isaac a kiss on the cheek. Isaac started to blush and looked down.
A few moments later. Otis was in his room lighting some candles. Suddenly there was a knock at the door and Otis opened the door and then he saw Joy standing in the hallway.
"Oh Joy it's you," said Otis.
"Can I come in?" asked Joy.
"Sure," said Otis.
Joy came into the room and sat down on Otis' bed. Otis closed the door and sat down next to Joy.
"What is it?" Asked Otis.
"I want to say sorry about what I did to you this afternoon," said Joy.
"It's all right, Joy," said Otis.
"No, you were so sweet, but you always are, and I was so mean to you and I've been mean to you before, and you don't deserve it," said Joy. "And sometimes I don't understand why you can stay with such a terrible person like me."
"Joy, you're not a terrible person. Don't say that about yourself," said Otis.
"Otis, I.., said Joy, but Otis interrupted her.
"Joy, I know what you said to me was out of anger, I'm angry and sad too," said Otis.
"I just feel so powerless," said Joy.
"I get it, You and Fabian seemed to be getting closer these past few weeks," said Otis.
"Yeah, but he was also a friend of yours," said Joy.
"He was a friend to all of us, said Otis.
Joy got tears in her eyes and she hugged Otis tightly.
"I love you Joy," said Otis.
"And I love you, too, Otis," said Joy.
Otis gave Joy a kiss on her cheek and Joy clung even more tightly to Otis.
Back in Nina and Amber's room the club looked at the folder with puzzled faces and wondered how the clue got on it, not knowing that Joy was the one who had done it.
"How did the new clue get on it?" Asked Patricia.
"Someone put it there," said Alfie.
"But who?" Asked Amber.
"Maybe it was Fabian," said Alfie.
"What do you mean? Like a ghost?" Asked Amber.
"No, I mean maybe before he was lying in the corridor," said Alfie.
Suddenly Nina grabbed the map off the bed and threw it on the floor, the club turned to Nina who had tears in her eyes.
"In 3 days we're going to have Fabian's funeral! Can you guys deal with that too for a while," said Nina.
"I'm sorry," said Amber.
Amber stood up and hugged Nina. Aaron, Patricia and Alfie also stood up and gave Nina a hug as well.
One hour later. Joy walked towards the bathroom to brush her teeth. Joy walked into the bathroom and walked to the sink. Joy wet her toothbrush and when she looked up and she looked in the mirror she was very shocked. Omar appeared from the shadows and put his hand in front of Joy's mouth before she could scream.
"Just keep your mouth shut Joy, otherwise the whole house will wake up and you don't want that," said Omar.
Joy nodded her head and Omar removed his hand.
"What are you doing here?" Asked Joy.
"Didn't you ever learn that it's very rude to just hang up. Or did you think you'd get rid of me just like that? I know where to find you," said Omar.
"I've figured that and so has Fabian. Murderer, said Joy.
"Murderer? What do you mean?" Asked Omar.
"You know exactly what I mean. Fabian is dead and it's your fault," said Joy.
"Fabian's dead?" Asked Omar.
"Your little plan worked," said Joy.
"Yeah, well, you now know what happens when you don't cooperate," said Omar.
"It's over, done with. I've done enough," said Joy.
"If you don't cooperate and do the next task soon, you'll be next or I'll have the choice of your friends or your very sweet boyfriend," said Omar.
"You leave my friends and my boyfriend out of this," said Joy.
Omar took the amulet out of his pocket and held it in front of Joy's face. Joy grabbed the amulet and put it in the pocket of her robe.
"The choice is yours, bye-bye Joy," said Omar.
Omar disappeared into the shadows and left the bathroom. Omar put on his hood and walked away. A few seconds later Joy came out of the bathroom and walked back to her room and was startled to see Aaron sitting on Patricia's bed.
"Bad conscience?" Asked Aaron, as he got up.
"What are you doing here?" Asked Joy.
"Waiting for you," said Aaron.
"Where is Patricia?" Asked Joy.
"She is sleeping in my sister and Nina's room," said Aaron.
"Why are you here Aaron?" Asked Joy.
"It's time," said Aaron.
"Time for what?" Asked Joy.
"Time for you to tell the truth," said Aaron.
"The truth about what?" Asked Joy.
"About what happened to KT and Fabian," said Aaron.
"You know what happened to KT too, so why are you asking me?" Asked Joy.
"Because I know you know more about it," said Aaron.
"I don't know what you're talking about," said Joy.
"Oh, no?" Asked Aaron.
"No, I don't," said Joy.
"Then who is this you're talking to?" Asked Aaron.
Aaron grabbed his phone and showed the photo to Joy of her and Omar. Joy was shocked when she saw the photo.
"You spied on me?" Asked Joy.
"Just returning the favor," said Aaron.
"What do you mean by that?" Asked Joy.
"You know exactly what I mean, I that think whoever you're working for is the reason my girlfriend was kidnapped and my best friend is now dead," said Aaron.
"That man has nothing to do with KT or with Fabian," said Joy.
Aaron opened the recorder app on his phone and then played the recording of the conversation between Joy and Omar played. Joy turned white. Aaron stopped the recording and looked at Joy, who was staring at the floor with a guilty and frighting look in her eyes.
Was Joy finally going to tell the truth to the club? That she was a spy all this time.
