House of Heartbreak:

KT was still fighting to get free of her attacker. The attacker lost grip on one of KT's ankles and KT kicked hard on the attacker's hand. The attacker disappeared. A few seconds later, KT came out of the restroom stall and checked all the other stalls and saw no one. KT took a breath of relief, but then she saw the cobra on the floor and was startled.

In the meantime, Aaron and Alfie were still standing at their lockers. Alfie was saying something, but Aaron wasn't listening.

"Aaron?" Said Alfie.

"What is it?" Asked Aaron.

"Did you hear any word of what I just said?" Asked Alfie.

"No, I didn't, I'm sorry, I got other things on my mind," said Aaron.

"You still upset about KT being mad at you?" Asked Alfie.

"I don't want to lose her," said Aaron.

"Dude, don't worry about it. Your KT will be jumping right back into your arms in no time. Trust me, Alfie knows women," said Alfie.

Aaron was about to say something, but before he could, KT came running and jumped into Aaron's arms.

"And now I want Beyoncé to come running into my arms," said Alfie.

"Aaron," said a terrified KT.

"KT what is?" Asked Aaron.

"Something's happened," said KT.

"What's happened?" Asked Aaron.

"I saw something," said KT.

"What did you see?" Asked Aaron.

KT didn't answer and grabbed Aaron's hand and took him towards the girls' bathroom and told him what happened. Aaron walked into the girls room and checked all the stalls but didn't see anything.

"There," said KT. "Do you see something?"

"Where? In here?" Asked Aaron, opening the door of the bathroom stall that KT was in earlier.

"It's gone! It was right here!" Said KT pointing at the spot where the cobra was.

"What was here?" Asked Aaron.

"A snake, a cobra, a golden cobra. It was lying here when I came out of the bathroom stall," said KT.

Aaron was shocked to hear that KT had seen the cobra.

"Sorry, I'm sorry I got so mad, I didn't know," said KT.

"Don't worry, I'm here," said Aaron.

"He tried to grab me by my ankles and I stepped on his hand and then he ran away," said KT.

"Did you see his face?" Asked Aaron.

"No, I was in the booth and he couldn't get to it and then ...," said KT.

"And then what?" Asked Aaron.

"And then I saw that symbol," said KT.

Aaron looked away from KT when she started talking about the snake symbol again, but KT saw that he was hiding something.

"What is it?" Asked KT.

"Nina told me cobra on the floor when she found you and Fabian and I also saw one yesterday in the cottage where Rufus was hiding," said Aaron.

"What does it mean?" Asked KT.

"No idea, but I'm going to find out," said Aaron.

KT had a frightened look in her eyes and Aaron hugged her to comfort her.

A few moments later. Geoffrey arrived at his mansion and there his wife Caroline was already waiting for him.

"And?" Asked Caroline.

"I'm sorry," said Geoffrey.

"You didn't get the girl?" Asked

"Sorry, I failed my darling," said Geoffrey. "What about the boy?"

"It's still not fast enough. We need to get it out of him quicker," said Caroline.

"I'll take care of it," said Geoffrey.

"What are we gonna do now? We gotta get that girl," said Caroline.

"We'll have to move on to other measures," said Geoffrey.

"We don't have a choice," said Caroline.

"I'll take care of everything and we'll get the girl," said Geoffrey.

Back at school. Mara and Jerome were again collecting items from students for the auction.

"We really have super many items in now," said Mara.

"But do you think these things are worth anything?" Asked Jerome.

"I do think so," said Mara.

"Do you think we'll be able to raise enough money for Uncle Isaac's village?" Asked Jerome.

"I really hope we do," said Mara.

Mr. Sweet and Ms. Delaney came walking up and they had some stuff with them.

"Here you go, I've some more stuff here for your auction," said Ms. Delaney, handing the bag to Mara.

"Thank you, Ms. Delaney," said Mara.

"And I also brought some stuff I wanted to donate for the auction and my accordion," said Mr. Sweet.

Mr. Sweet gave Jerome a big bag and his accordion.

"Eric, my darling, are you sure you want to give away the accordion?" Asked Ms. Delaney.

"Yes, even though this accordion is very dear to me, it's for a good cause," said Mr. Sweet.

"Thank you Mr. Sweet and we will take good care of your accordion," said Mara.

"I brought something else, but it's in the old one, I'll be back in a minute and get it, said Ms. Delaney.

Ms. Delaney walked away and Mr. Sweet went to his office. A few minutes later Mrs. Delaney returned with a large vase.

"Here you go," said Ms. Delaney.

"Thank you so much," said Mara.

"I hope it's worth something," said Ms. Delaney.

"We hope so, too," said Jerome.

Ms. Delaney walked away and Mara and Jerome looked at the vase.

"What an ugly thing this is," said Mara.

"Victor must have made it when he was blind," joked Jerome.

"Yeah, that's the only explanation why this thing is so ugly," joked Mara.

"Where is Otis anyway? I haven't seen him," said Jerome, as he just noticed that Otis was at school.

"I've no idea," said Mara.

"He said he was gonna help us and then he doesn't show up," said Jerome.

In the meantime, in the house. Trudy was busy preparing snacks for Isaac's goodbye party. Then Trudy saw Otis enter the living room in his pajamas and walked over to him.

"Otis why are you sitting here in your pajamas? You're supposed to be at school a long time ago," said Trudy.

"I'm sorry," said Otis.

"Otis, what's wrong?" Asked Trudy, noticing that Otis was upset.

"She left me," said Otis.

"What are you talking about sweetie?" Asked Trudy.

Otis gave Joy's letter to Trudy and she started reading it. And just as Otis had, Trudy also became sad after reading it.

"Oh no, Joy," said a saddened Trudy.

"Why would she do such a thing?" Asked Otis.

"I don't know either sweetie," said Trudy.

"I'll get changed and go to school," said Otis.

"No, you don't have to do that, I'll call the school and say you're sick," said Trudy.

"But I'm not even really sick," said Otis.

"A broken heart can make you sick too," said Trudy.

Otis gave Trudy a hug and she tried to comfort him.

Back at school, the club except for Aaron sat in the drama room and talked about the riddle of the next task

"I did go over it twice yesterday and it keeps saying the same thing," said Nina.

"But if we don't figure it out, then we can't go further and then we can't get the Mask of Anubis," said Amber.

"And then doomed, done for it," said Alfie.

"Yes, Alfie we know what and we don't want to be remind of it every time," said Patricia.

"I think we should go to the tunnels and take a look at that thing that Nina and Patricia saw," suggested Eddie.

"Do you think it'll do any good? Asked Amber.

"I don't know, but we have to do something, said Eddie.

"It's better than doing nothing, said Patricia.

At the same time, Aaron and KT walked into the drama room and sat down with the rest of the club.

"Are you guys okay?" Asked Nina.

"KT was attacked while she was in the restroom," said Aaron.

"What? By who?" Asked Nina.

"I've no idea. I couldn't see his face," said KT.

"But that's not all. When she came out of the bathroom she saw the cobra," said Aaron.

"The same cobra that found her and Fabian and that we saw yesterday?" Asked Nina.

"Yeah," said Aaron.

"Who would want to attack you?" Asked Amber.

"I've no idea," said KT.

"I know now we'll be busy figuring out the next task, but we also have to figure out what the cobra means," said Aaron.

"Maybe we can find something in the documents we found in Rufus' cottage," said Nina.

"I just hope we can find something, I'm afraid," said KT.

"You don't have to be scared KT, I'll protect you," said Aaron.

"We all will," said Amber.

A few hours later and the school day was over. Mara and Jerome came home and saw Otis lying on the couch and walked over to him.

"Where were you all day?" Asked Jerome.

"Here," said Otis.

"You were supposed to help pick up stuff for the auction and you're just lying here in your pajamas on the sofa," said Jerome.

"I don't feel good," said Otis.

"You don't look sick to me," said Jerome.

"Jerome, leave Otis alone. He's had a rough day," said Trudy, entering the living room.

"Then what is wrong with him?" Asked Jerome.

"Joy is gone," said Otis.

"We knew that already," said Jerome.

"But she's gone for good now," said Otis.

"How do you mean with that?" Asked Mara.

Otis handed the letter to Mara and she began to read while Jerome also read along.

"Oh Otis, I'm so sorry," said Mara.

"A few moments later, all the residents were sitting down at the dinner table and talking about Joy.

"So she's really gone?" Asked Patricia.

"That's what she wrote in her letter," said Otis.

"You didn't notice anything about her, Patricia?" Asked Mara.

"No, I didn't talk to Joy much after Fabian's funeral," said Patricia.

"Why did she leave?" Asked Otis.

"Maybe she will come back," said Mara.

"She says she's never coming back, said Otis.

"Maybe we should talk about something else. Take your mind off Joy," suggested Mara.

"What do you want to talk about?" Asked Otis.

"Yeah, I'm really sorry about what Otis is going through," said Mara. "But my question was, do you have any items you don't want anymore and would like to give away for auction?"

"I'll take a look later," said Aaron.

"I will too," said Alfie.

"Thank you," said Mara.

"Do you guys already have a lot of stuff?" Asked KT.

"Yeah," said Mara.

"Mr. Sweet even donated his accordion," said Jerome.

"Really? My dad gave up his accordion?" Asked Eddie.

"Yes," said Jerome.

"My dad loves that thing, very special that he's giving it away," said Eddie.

A second later, Trudy entered the living room with the food and set it on the table.

"Don't forget that at 8:00 pm is the goodbye party for Isaac," said Trudy.

"We will be there and I will still help you decorate the room," said Mara.

"Thank you, sweetie," said Trudy. And enjoy supper

Trudy walked back into the kitchen and the Anubis residents scooped up some food and began to eat.

A few moments later. Nina was sitting in her room and looking through a book she found in Rufus Zeno's cottage. Suddenly Nina heard a knock on the door and Isaac entered the room.

"Am I interrupting?" Asked Isaac.

"No," said Nina.

"Are you all right?" Asked Isaac.

"Yes," said Nina.

"Before I leave, I have this as a thank you for everything and for taking care of Delphi, said Isaac, giving Nina a present wrapped up in a old looking cloth.

"You didn't have to do that," said Nina.

"I wanted to do it," said Isaac.

"Thank you," said Nina.

"You're welcome," said Isaac.

"Uncle Isaac, you said to me the other day that things aren't always as they seem," said Nina.

"Yes," said Isaac.

"What do you mean by that? And what does the door to the future mean?" Asked Nina.

"When the time comes, you will know," said Isaac.

"I don't get it," said Nina.

"It's going to be okay," said Isaac.

Isaac walked out of the room. Nina unwrapped the gift and inside was a magnifying glass with a red lens. Nina picked up the magnifying glass and looked at it. Suddenly Nina got a smile on her face.

Where was Nina suddenly so happy? What's with the magnifying glass? And why did Isaac give it to Nina?
