Chapter 03: Gradual Meeting
"You're Shizuru Viola, yeah?" Natsuki asked curiously, smiling as Alyssa slipped from her lap and wandered to the door. Angling her wheelchair to face the Meister, Natsuki eased forward.
"I am." Shizuru was unsure whether to enter the room, so she remained by the doorway. "One of the officers directed me here—Miyu was her name?"
"Miyu's back?" Trotting past the Meister, Alyssa happily left them to their own devices.
Emitting an amused tone, Shizuru watched as the child made her way down the corridor. "My. She's a cute one."
"Please." Natsuki droned, catching the Meister's full attention. "You won't say that if you knew her."
"Oh?" Shizuru made a start towards Natsuki's wheelchair. As she came to a halt before the Ariesian, they stared awkwardly at one another for a moment.
Currently for the sake of travelling, Shizuru was still materialised. Apart from the levitation bands, the robe was incredibly comfortable which made trips easier. The President's daughter meanwhile was dressed casually; a shirt covered by a white and purple hoodie, along with jeans and purple converse shoes
"So…" Natsuki gruffly motioned. "Nice to meet you." She was awful at introductions—not like she really cared.
"You too." Shizuru grinned languidly. The Krugers were an interesting bunch. The next few days would be interesting. "Perhaps we should discuss things? Maybe a drink?"
"Sure." Making a move to push herself along, this attempt was interrupted as the Meister eased closer. Leaning back against her chair, Natsuki eyed her oddly as a hand was lifted."
"Do not worry." Rounding the wheelchair, Shizuru said; "I insist, please."
"It isn't like I have a choice, is it?"
"Certainly you do."
A quiet moment passed until Natsuki responded. "Fine. Just do it."
It was obvious that Natsuki didn't like being wheeled around, Shizuru realised. She couldn't imagine what it felt like to be unable to walk. It was perhaps similar to an Otome being unable to fly. It sounded suffocating—dreadful. There was more to this Kruger than meets the eye.
A/N: Just a simple chapter for today. I felt that I was straining the chapter, so I stopped here. Anyhow, I thought I may as well add some information here.
