Master Chef Bootcamp
A/N: This chapter Kevin and Heather learn more about each other.
Anyway on to the chapter!
Kevin's POV
Me, Heather, Lindsay were sitting under a tree drinking coffee together.
"So, you say you own two hamsters?" I asked.
"Yes." Heather smiled.
"What are their names?"
"Cupcake, and Patches."
"Hm... You have very good taste in names."
"Thanks. So, do you own any pets?" She asked.
"No. You can't really afford pets in the orphanage. Only pets there are the ones kids had before they came to the orphanage, but I always wanted a German Shepherd."
"Cool. Any name ideas?"
"I was thinking about naming the dog Hunter for a boy and Willow for a girl."
"Very creative. I like that." Heather grinned.
"I'm like that you think it creative," I said smirking.
"Makes me happy to hear you like that I think it creative," she said kissing my cheek.
"Aw. You're both so cute together," Lindsay said.
I and Heather exchanged a look both blushing. Lindsay then got up and walked away leaving me and Heather alone.
/Lindsay: "Heather and Kevin are really cute together. "/
Suddenly Chef started shouting in the loudspeaker.
" Listen up little cockroaches! I want all campers to report to the dock of shame at 0900 hours!" Chef yelled.
I and Heather exchanged a confused look.
"THAT MEANS NOW, SOLDIERS! NOW!" He yelled as we got up.
Both of the teams grouped up at the dock of shame.
"Line up and stand at attention...you call this proper formation?" Chef said observing everyone. "Feet together, arms down, eyes forward, head up." He hit Harold multiple times, fixing his form.
"Oh this is gonna be a fun day," Gwen whispered to Leshawna.
"What did you say to me, soldier?" Chef yelled at Gwen.
"Um, nothing," Gwen said quickly.
"And you'll continue to say nothing until I tell you that you can say something!" He yelled. "Today's challenge will not be an easy one. In fact, I don't expect everyone to come out alive."
Owen then laughed but then got hit by Chef.
"My orders are to make sure all the babies in front of me drop out of my boot camp except one. The last one standing wins immunity for their team. Rule number one: You will address me as Master Chef. Have you got that?" Chef asked.
"Yes, Master Chef," We all said together.
"You will sleep when I tell you to sleep. And you will eat only when I tell you to eat. Is that clear?" Chef said in the megaphone in Geoff's face.
"Yes master Chef," Geoff responded.
"Rule number two, when you're ready to give up, you will walk to the end of the dock and ring the bell. Which brings me to rule number three. Let's get one quitter before the end of the first day. The day will not end until someone drops out. Now get your butts down to the beach. Soldiers. Now! Now! Now!" Chef yelled as we all dashed to the dock.
/Kevin: "This is going to be a long challenge./
We were all down at the beach area with two teamed colored canoes.
" Listen up, each team must hold a canoe over their heads. I catch you taking your hands off the canoe, and you will be eliminated. And no one eats lunch until someone drops out. Canoes up!" Chef said as we lifted the canoes.
"Pfft, this isn't that hard." Owen smiled.
We've been holding the canoe for about three hours. And most of us were hungry.
"Looks like they missed lunch today," Chris grinned.
"Mmhm! Guess they just weren't hungry! Unless someone wants to quit now," Chef said.
I heard Owen's stomach growl.
"Don't even think about it, Owen," Gwen said firmly.
We continued to hold their canoe until nightfall.
"25 of us went I the jungle that night. Only 5 came back out," Chef said.
"What war were you in any way?" Gwen asked.
"Did I ask you to speak?! Cause I don't remember asking you to speak!" Chef asked.
Gwenn simply rolls her eyes. "Whatever, he so wasn't in a war."
"Guys? I can't do this anymore. I have no more feeling in my arms." Lindsay said, walking off.
"Looks like we've got ourselves a quitter." Chef grinned.
"Don't do it, Lindsay!" Owen said.
Lindsay rang the bell with her head. We all then lost balance holding the canoe and it fell on us as we fell down.
"As for the rest of you, head to the mess hall! Dinner is served!" Chef yelled.
"Sweet Marie! Thank you!" Owen grinned.
We headed to the mess hall for dinner.
"Alright, maggots! Open your ears! You got ten minutes to eat before night training begins. So get to it," Chef said.
Everyone began complaining about night training.
"Um, excuse me, Master Chef? Where's the food?" Gwen asked.
"You're looking at it," Chef said smiling hinting at the trash cans.
"This is the leftover garbage from this morning's breakfast," Owen said.
"Darn right. when you're at war you take what you can get," Chef stated.
Some of us picked up a tray and began looking for something edible in the trash cans.
I honestly gave up when a rat literally jumped out of one of the trash cans. I sat down at the table and sighed.
Heather took a seat next to me with an empty tray.
"Guessing you couldn't find anything edible either, huh?" I asked.
"Nope. This is worst than the usual food we eat," Heather started. "It basically just trash."
Later on that night we were up dancing. I know very crazy and weird huh? We had to follow the routine until we were instructed to stop.
Suddenly the music shut off. We all panted for air. We looked over and saw Duncan next to the radio.
"One of us drops out, we're done for the day," Duncan said.
"Were done when I say we're done. Now drop and give me 20. Anyone else got anything they want to say?" Chef asked.
Gwen asks if she can go to the bathroom and Chef sends her to clean it, instead of using it.
We were now back in the Main lodge. "For you're next challenge you will complete a 300-word essay about how much you love me. Anyone who falls asleep or fails to complete the challenge will be eliminated," Chef told us.
We all began our essays. I normally had an easy time writing, but considering what we're writing about it was hard.
Until I remember I'm not getting graded for this I just started writing whatever came to my mind first.
When the time came, Chef collected our papers and began to read one.
"I love Master Chef because he is ver, very, very... THIS IS JUST ONE SENTENCE WITH FIVE PAGES OF VERY IN BETWEEN!" Chef yelled.
Trent and Dj fell asleep so they were booted out of today's challenge. We then had to report back in 0500 hours. Whatever that meant.
We were all grouped up standing in front of an obstacle course.
"You will all run this course until you all complete it under one minute. Am I making myself clear?" Chef asked.
"Crystal," Duncan smirked.
"GO MSGGOTS GO!" Chef yelled.
We all took off running through the obstacle course. It started off with a giant wall that we had to get over.
After that, we had to jump through tires. then crawl under axes swinging above our head.
At some point, I fell down into the mud and stayed there until I had the strength to get back up.
Duncan then annoyed Chef so badly that he sent him to the boathouse.
We were given dinner by Chef which I didn't eat much of. I and the Gophers were all hanging out in the cabin when suddenly Duncan and Courtney came back with food like actual food. I ask where he got it and he tells us all the story of how he and Courtney snuck into Caft services and stole the food from Chris and Chef. After I finish eating my fill, I simply sit on the floor while Heather is resting her head on my shoulder.
Courtney picked up another s'more.
"Okay, I think you had enough," Bridgette said.
"Oh no! Just one more!" She smiled eating the s'more and letting out a burp." Oh. yeah, that one was a mistake."
I just rolled my eyes at her being dumb enough to eat more then her stomach could take.
Suddenly Chef began speaking through the loudspeaker.
"Attention all Bootcamp recruits. The evolution of your training begins tomorrow morning at 0700 hours. And if I catch the sucker who took my desserts your butt is mine."
We were now all hanging upside down on a tree.
"What you are experiencing is an ancient form of torture. By now the blood began rushing to your head. The next stage is nausea. Followed by dizziness," Chef said naming the order of the results of the head rush.
Duncan then fell out of the tree.
"He's okay," Bridgette informed.
We all used our arms to hold on to the tree... well almost everyone. Owen only managed to fart.
"Okay, that's it I'm done," Heather said hopping out of the tree landing neatly.
Owen then fell out of the tree and onto Heather, Making me concern and falling out of the tree. Heather then began to laugh at what happened. Which was making me mad.
"Stop laughing this instant," Chef said.
"I'm sorry. I can't help it," she laughed and then fell on the floor.
"I expected more out of you soldier," Chef said.
"Ehm. Master Chef? I just have one thing to say to you."
"And what might that be?"
"You really need to take a chill pill," she said and burst out laughing.
"Okay, Geoffy! It's all up to you!" Courtney cheered.
"You got this Gwen?" Owen asked.
"Oh yeah, I can hang here all day," Gwen smirked.
"I live for the head rush! It feels so good." Geoff suddenly fell out of the tree.
I and the team ran off cheering.
"Gwen," Chef calls out.
"Congratulations, solider. I'd go yo war with you any time."
"I keep that in mind when choosing my career," Gwen answered sarcastically.
We then went off cheering again for our victory. This was one interesting challenge.
