House of Auctions:
Nina, Patricia, Alfie and Eddie were standing in the hallway and Nina had just discovered that she had lost the key to the present and past.
"What do you mean it's gone?" Asked Eddie.
"Gone, lost, disappeared I don't know how else to put it," said Nina.
"Great now we've got another problem to deal with," said Patricia.
"What do you mean?" Asked Alfie.
"Club meeting," suggested Nina.
"Good idea," said Eddie.
"Why are we having a meeting? What's going on?" Asked Alfie.
But Alfie, didn't get an answer, because Nina, Patricia and Eddie walked right upstairs and headed to the room of Nina and Amber.
"Yeah, leave Alfie in the dark again," said Alfie.
Alfie walked upstairs and followed the others to Nina and Amber's room.
"What's going on?" Asked Amber.
"We have a serious problem," said Nina.
"Did something happen to KT?" Asked Aaron.
"No, it's has nothing to do with KT," said Nina.
"What is it then?" Asked Aaron.
"The key to the present and past is gone," said Nina.
"How is that possible?" Asked Amber.
"I think I lost it somewhere," said Nina.
"Then we need to find it now," said Amber.
"But that's not the only problem," said Nina.
"Then what else is going on?" Asked Aaron.
In the meantime, Trudy came into the kitchen to make some sandwiches.
"Isaac today is the auction and so I have to prepare some food for my darlings, lots of food," said Trudy.
Trudy turned around and saw a fishbowl standing there and saw a fish swimming in it. Trudy walked over to the fishbowl and looked at the fish in amazement.
"How did you get here?" Asked Trudy.
Trudy looked at Isaac's standee and then back at the fish. When Trudy looked up again she saw the Isaac standing in front of the standee.
"Hello Trudy," said Isaac.
"Is it really you?" Asked Trudy.
"Yes, it's really me," said Isaac.
"My Isaac," said Trudy.
Trudy ran to Isaac and jumped into his arms, Isaac spun her around and set her down and together they jumped up and down.
Back in Nina and Amber's room, Nina had told Amber, Aaron and Alfie everything about the key being gone and that she wasn't able to open the secret passageway anymore.
"So you just really don't have access to the secret passage anymore?" Asked Aaron.
"It won't open, no matter how hard I try," said Nina.
"How is that possible?" Asked Amber.
"No idea," said Nina.
"Isn't it just the house saying it's not safe to go," guessed Aaron.
"No, that isn't it," said Nina.
"It could be, The house has talked you many times before," said Amber.
"The house hasn't talked to me in a long time, so that's not it," said Nina.
"But then what is it?" Asked Amber.
"No idea, but we have to figure this out," said Nina.
"And we also need to find the key to the past and present," said Patricia.
"I go we go into the cellar and into the tunnels, We need to know what's ahead for us," said Eddie.
"Is that really important right now?" Asked Amber.
"Yes, this is the final task, the task that leads to the Mask of Anubis," said Eddie.
"Eddie's right, find out what the final task is, because we don't have anything else," said Nina.
"If you say so," said Aaron.
"I'll head back to the garden and keep an eye on Victor," said Alfie.
"Good idea Alfie," said Amber.
Alfie got up and walked out of the room.
"And what are we going to do now?" Asked Aaron.
"We're going to break down that cellar door," said Eddie.
The club got up and left the room as well.
In the meantime, Trudy and Isaac were in the kitchen catching up.
"And after much writing and love, I mean they arranged that auction for me, I can't let them down after all," said Isaac.
"No, I understand. So you only come for that auction?" Asked Trudy.
"No, that's not the only reason I'm here," said Isaac.
"Did Delphi say something?" asked Trudy.
"No, this time it's really all my own decision, She's not talking to me anymore," said Isaac.
"She isn't?" asked Trudy.
"No, she's a little jealous I guess, but she'll come around," said Isaac.
Trudy got a smile on her face and gave Isaac a hug. At that same moment Mason walked into the kitchen.
"Mason good to have you here, this is Isaac," said Trudy.
"I've heard a lot about you, only good things you know, said Mason, as he shook Isaac's hand.
"I was planning on going to the auction right now and I would really appreciate it if you would join me now, said Isaac.
"Now? Asked Trudy,
"Yes, said Isaac.
"I can't, I have to make the sandwiches and change my clothes and it that will take time, said Trudy.
"Tell you what, I'll make sandwiches, you go change right now and you go to the auction together, said Mason.
"That's sweet of you," said Trudy.
Trudy gave Mason a kiss on the cheek and then she grabbed a notepad and wrote something down.
"This is a list of who likes what on their bread," said Trudy.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of everything," said Mason.
Trudy gave Mason another kiss on the cheek and then walked out of the kitchen with Isaac.
In the meantime at school, final preparations for the auction were still in full swing.
"How long before it starts?" Asked Mara.
"15 minutes left," said Jerome.
"What if no one comes?" Asked Mara.
"Surely people will come," said Jerome.
"But what if nobody comes?" Asked Mara.
"We'll buy everything ourselves," joked Jerome.
"Jerome, I not in the mood for jokes now," said Mara.
"It's packed with people outside, they can't wait for it to start, said Otis as he entered the classroom.
"Me neither, I get nervous by just waiting," said Mara.
"What about the press?" Asked Jerome.
"Is the press isn't here yet?" Asked Otis.
"When Mara, Jerome and Otis heard that, the stress started to get to the three of them.
"Maybe they'll be here soon," said Otis.
"Or maybe they just said yes so you wouldn't bother them anymore," said Jerome.
"Hold on, I'll make a call," said Otis.
Otis grabbed his phone and walked out of the room.
"I do think it's weird the Sweetie isn't here yet, I mean we're doing it for him," said Mara.
"Sweetie's not the only one who's not here," said Jerome. "Where's our auction master?"
The stress was growing bigger with Mara and Jerome and all the could hope that not would go wrong form now on.
In the meantime in the house. The club snuck down stairs and walked over to the cellar door.
"Is it a good idea for us to go without Alfie? Asked Amber.
"He's keeping an eye on Victor, said Eddie.
"We might need him for the task, we needed six people for the first task, said Amber.
"We're just going to take a look, the sooner we go, the sooner we'll know if we need Alfie, said Eddie.
Eddie grabbed the bolt cutter and was about to cut the chain, but Nina stopped him.
"What, I really know what I'm doing though," said Eddie.
"It's already open," said Nina.
"How can that be?" asked Amber.
"Let's get our flashlights and other necessary stuff, because we don't know what kind of task this is going to be," said Eddie.
And while the club was preparing, Alfie was out in the garden spying on Victor Sr.
"Another half-meter and the Mask is mine," said Victor sr.
Victor Sr. suffered a headache attack and stopped digging.
"I've no time to lose I must and will have that Mask," said Victor sr.
Victor Sr. continued digging. But suddenly he couldn't dig any further because there was a metal plate.
"No, that cursed Frobisher-Smythe," said Victor sr.
A few moments later the club had packed their things and were about to enter the cellar, Alfie came running.
"Victor is still digging," said Alfie.
"Well, let's get into the cellar," said Eddie.
Amber handed Alfie his things. Eddie opened the door and the club walked in, but were shocked when they walked in the attic.
"What is this?" Asked Eddie.
"Whoa, science fiction," said Alfie.
"This is the corridor to the attic," said Aaron.
"Spooky," said Alfie.
"But how can this be? We should get to the cellar right now," said Amber.
The club walked out of the room. Nina took another look, but it was still the attic. Nina closed the door and turned toward the club.
"I don't like this anymore," said Amber.
"The cellar's gone," said Nina.
"It would be convenient if that door will lead to school," said Alfie.
"Or to a warm country with a very large shopping mall," said Amber.
"Amber, Alfie stop, this isn't funny," said Patricia.
"If we can't get into the cellar, we can't get the mask," said Eddie.
"And we're done for," said Patricia.
"And maybe this is the reason Nina can't access to the secret passageway anymore," said Aaron.
"Because there is no more cellar, said Patricia.
"This, of course, is why Victor is digging in the garden, He has the same problem, said Nina.
"Then we can't wait any longer, said Eddie.
Suddenly the map was slid under the door. Eddie opened the door and walked into the room, but he didn't see anyone. Eddie walked out of the room again and closed the door.
"There was no one there, How could this be?" asked Eddie.
"That's the map," said Amber.
"It's all burned up," said Aaron.
"There's also a text on it," said Nina.
"Yeah, but that text doesn't make any sense," said Alfie, as he was trying to read what was written on the map.
"Maybe because you read it upside down, said Eddie.
"Maybe," said Alfie.
Amber turned up the map so the club could read the text clearly.
"The Chamber to the Mask of Anubis is near, but only for those who will be able to conquer their fear," said Nina, as she read the text of the map.
"What does that mean?" Asked Eddie.
"It also says something underneath," said Patricia.
"The key to the past is the gateway to the future, said Amber, reading the text of the map.
"Which is exactly what Sarah said," said Nina.
"But what should we do with it?" Asked Amber.
"I know, we've to use the key to get into the cellar," said Nina.
"Then we still have a problem," said Aaron.
"We don't have a key," said Eddie.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go find that key," said Amber.
"Last time I was in the living room," said Nina.
"Okay, split up and look," said Eddie.
The club went to the living room and searched everything, but no one could find the key. After their failed search attempt, the club got back together.
"No one found it?" Asked Nina.
"No," said Amber.
"It must be here in the house, it can't just be gone like that," said Eddie.
"I don't know either," said Nina.
Amber was about to say something, but suddenly she froze up and didn't say anything anymore
"Amber what were you going to say? Amber?" Said Nina, waving her hand in front of Amber's face, but she didn't move at all, or even blinked.
Nina looked around and saw that except for Eddie, no one in the club was moving.
"Aaron? Alfie?" Asked Nina.
"Yacker? Hello do you hear me?" Asked Eddie.
"What's going on?" Asked Nina.
"I don't know, they all just stop moving out of nowhere," said Eddie.
"They don't move at all, it's like they're petrified or something," said Nina.
"Why are frozen up like that? And why are we the only two still moving?" Asked Eddie.
"How am I supposed know that? I don't know why this is going on," said Nina.
Suddenly a great deal of light appeared and a person dressed in a white cloak stepped forward.
"Who are you? And what is going on here?" Asked Eddie.
"Don't worry I'm a friend," said the cloaked person, while she took of her hood and it was revealed to be Sarah.
"Sarah," said Nina.
"Hello Nina," said Sarah.
What's going on? Why were all but Nina and Eddie petrified? And why does Sarah appear again?
