Sonic The Hedgehog and Toadette were dashing all over Seaside Hill as they were trying to see who were faster, with various tourists on the sides watching them as the two sped past the Whale Lagoon, Lost Palace, Ocean Ruin and Ocean View racecourses, while also passing by the Seaside Square battle course.
"Give up yet, fungus face?" Sonic asked Toadette as he smirked, the two going over three loops.
Toadette giggled as she shook her head, sticking her tongue out at Sonic. "No way, you nasty little pincushion! I can still do better than you! I have the better acceleration!"
Mummipokey was selling useless knick knacks to various Egg Pawns at his Artifact Base, only to see Sonic and Toadette smack the Egg Pawns into the air, causing them to break apart upon coming back down.
Mummipokey sighed as he shook his head, being disappointed. "Man, those guys need to chill. There's no need to go fast at everything."
"Peh. They won't listen, even if you ask them to." Shadow chuckled as he suddenly appeared, drinking a bottle of Diet Pepsi as he shook his head. "When Sonic gets challenged to a race, he takes it and goes full forward with it."
Cheepskipper resurfaced in the lake that was at his Floats N' Boats shop, with Hucky The Huckit Crab selling floats to various Cataquacks as Toadette jumped on top of the different colored duck billed creatures, with Sonic spin dashing them into the air as he dashed after Toadette.
"Hucky! What the hell happened!?" Cheepskipper boomed as he bounced onto land, approaching the shop.
Hucky pointed at the speeding Sonic and Toadette towards the eastern direction with her only pincer. "Those two are racing each other!"
Cheepskipper sighed as he shook his head, watching the Cataquacks falling back down on the ground, struggling to get up. "Honestly, why am I not surprised...?"
The Ocean Palace Burger Paradise was filled with all different sorts of creatures and visitors from different series, franchises, and locations as they all lined up for the delicious, salty burgers, with Clawgrip making them as Hickut The Huckit Crab and Creb The Crabber tried keeping the customers waiting satisfied.
"Man, we have more business than usual!" Hickut exclaimed as he gave various customers their burgers. "That's a surprise, huh?"
Creb rolled his eyes as he took the customers' moneys in exchange. "Well, it's much cooler now than it used to be. That's going to attract more people to come to sunny, tropical places like here."
Sonic and Toadette both rammed into each other as they were trying to push each other off the yellow colored dirt paved path, knocking all the customers to the sides and causing them to drop their burgers and dollars as the two speeding freaks headed right into the main temple of the Ocean Palace.
"Yarr! Those two be too fast to slow down and have a salty hamburger!" Clawgrip commented angrily as he shook his head, flipping the burgers while pouring sea salt onto it.
