(Disclaimer: I do not own Strange Magic; just my OC's that pop up every now and then.)
(Authors Note: Hello dear readers! First of all, I am so sorry for not uploading new content sooner. After my niece was born, I became rather distracted with helping to care for her as well as assisting my sister and brother-in-law move out of their old home and across the country. That, and my movieverse Transformers FF has been occupying what little free time I set aside for writing (what can I say except it's been on my mind a lot lately). Also, the holiday season has been keeping me busy as well, so there's really little time for me to focus on ALL of my stories. However, this doesn't mean I've forgotten about this particular tale. Oh no. I love writing about Bog and Marianne's relationship and I hope to keep adding to this story for a while still...or at least until I think it's reached a good ending point...in which I can make a sequel! Anyways, let me note that further updates may be slow for a little while, but I'll try to upload new content as soon as I can. Thank you all so much for the continued support :) Until next time, have a Happy Holidays and a safe New Year!)

-Spring-
As the residents of the Dark Forest slowly began to emerge from their dens, chambers, and abodes, cracks slowly formed along the outer layer of the chrysalis that contained the Bog King and his fair Queen, signaling the end of their long hibernation. The pair soon opened their eyes for the first time in months and broke free of the magic that had enveloped them during the cold winter season. With a yawn, Marianne sat up and stretched before a familiar pair of hands wrapped around her tiny waist:
"Hello there, my ravishing Queen," Bog purred in her ear, sending a delightful shiver down her spine.
"And hello to you too, my handsome King," she seductively replied as he began to nip at her neck.
"I see your hair grew longer while we slept," he noted with a fond smile as he slowly ran his long fingers through her soft brown locks. Before hibernation, Marianne's hair was the same short length he had always known, but now it hung down to her shoulders in shimmering, silken locks. Of course, she always looked beautiful no matter her appearance, but he had to admit this new look was rather fetching.
With a blush, Marianne examined a lock of her hair and asked, "Do…Do you like it?"
"Why wouldn't I? It's still a part of you, and I find you breathtakingly beautiful no matter how you look."
"Oh Bog..," she turned around and pulled him down for a long, passionate kiss, to which he happily accepted before a loud growling sound caught their attention: Apparently their stomachs were alerting them of their need for sustenance. This of course, caused them to chuckle at their current situation and while they longed to indulge in pleasure and passion, their hunger needed to be addressed first. That, and a trip to the washroom was in order. "I guess we should tend to our bodily needs first."
"Aye, that we should," he agreed before stepping out of the bed and stretching his wings and legs, to which she attempted to do the same; however, as she stood up, a wave of lightheadedness swept over her frame and caused her to fall back onto the bed with a *wump*. "Marianne?! Are you alright?"
"Yes, I'm fine," she assured with a smile. "I'm just a little fatigued from hibernation. I should be fine after I eat something."
"I'll head down to the reserves and fetch you something to eat. In the meantime, I want you to sit down and rest."
"Bog…," she was about to protest when he held a finger to her lips.
"My dear, I don't want you collapsing and hurting yourself in my absence. You've been asleep for the last few months and need to build your strength back up. So until I return, please limit your movements."
"Hmm, is that an order my King?"
"Aye that it is," he smirked and gave her a wink. "I'll be back soon."
"Then I'll be waiting," she sensually replied as she laid herself back upon the bed in a rather seductive pose.
As much as he wanted to ravish her body, Bog knew they needed to replenish their strength or else risk illness from lack of nourishment. No. He refused to let his Queen fall ill. With that, he flew out of the room and through the tunnels with the intention of acquiring sustenance for himself and his wife.
After he left, Marianne slowly got up from the bed and headed into the adjacent washroom to use the facilities and freshen up after her long sleep. As she washed her face, she looked herself over in the mirror and smiled: her hair was really pretty looking for its current length. In truth, she never kept her hair long because it wasn't really the norm of her people to have long hair to begin with. Of course, that wasn't to say that fairies couldn't have long hair: they could. It was just easier to keep it short as a means to avoid obstruction while flying. Looking back, she noted that her mother was the only one she knew to have long hair all year round.
With a sigh, she finished up in the washroom and headed over to the table where she sat herself down in one of the chairs before the sound of the door opening brought a smile to her face: Bog stepped in carrying a tray of various dried fruits and vegetables, as well as a pitcher of water, to which he set them atop the table and sat across from his wife. "I apologize for not fixing you something hot, but I didn't want to make you wait any longer than you have been."
She shook her head and waved it off, "It's fine dear. We can fix something more robust later. Right now, I'm just happy to be filling a void in my stomach," she stated as she grabbed a dried blueberry and bit into it, savoring its unique taste and texture. In truth, she didn't care what she ate so long as she was curbing her gnawing hunger.

-Later-
Upon finishing their latest round of sexual intercourse, Bog and Marianne felt that it was finally time to leave the hibernation tunnels. The last thing they wanted was for one of their subjects to come knocking on the door or entering unannounced. No; that wouldn't do at all. Of course, there was one tiny hiccup in their plan: what would Marianne wear?!
In her haste to marry Bog before winter, Marianne completely forgot to transfer her wardrobe from her room in the Fairy Kingdom to the Dark Forest castle. At the moment, all she had for clothing was her wedding gown. "Oh sugar honey iced tea.."
"What's wrong my Queen?"
"I completely forgot to send my clothes to the castle before our winter hibernation! I literally have nothing to wear except my wedding gown."
With a fond smile, Bog caressed her cheek, "Then I guess it's either wear your dress or stay within this room for the time being. Either way, I'll certainly enjoy the view," he winked.
A blush appeared along her cheeks at that, but she couldn't argue with him: she literally had no choice in the matter. There's no way she'd be able to send for her clothes at this time as nearly everybody within the Fairy Kingdom was still in the process of waking up from hibernation.

After nearly ten minutes, Marianne and Bog were on their way out of the hibernation tunnels and up to the main level of the castle where other goblins were gathering. Among those awake was Griselda who was currently dusting off a portrait of Bog's grandfather, the Swamp King, when she spotted the (not so new) newly wedded couple. "Well hello my dears! Did you two have a restful sleep? Oh Marianne, you're still in your wedding dress. And what happened to your hair?"
With a sigh, she gave her mother-in-law a smile, "Hello there Griselda. We did have a restful sleep and the reason why I'm in my wedding dress is because I completely forgot to send my wardrobe to the castle before hibernation. As for my hair, it grew out while we all slept. Do you like it?"
"I do. It's very becoming of you and not quite as wild-looking as it previously was. Now, as for your outfit, I think I can fashion you some clothes to wear until we visit the Fairy Kingdom again. Don't want your beautiful gown to get dirty now, do we? After all, you've still got to wear it for the reception party."
That's right. Bog and Marianne had decided to have their wedding reception after hibernation. Now the question was: when? This was obviously something the two of them would have to discuss at a later time. For now, the new Queen was being escorted by her mother-in-law up to her chamber for a fitting: apparently Griselda was determined to craft a new wardrobe for her.
Within minutes, the two of them entered the former Queen's room where she began rummaging through her old chest until she found what she was looking for. "Aha! I knew I still had these old dresses somewhere. I used to wear these when I was younger. Oh, I was so attractive back then," she sighed at the memories before presenting Marianne with a variety of dresses. "Now, you step over to the dressing partition and try those on for me, and I'll see what we can do to improve the fit, okay?"
"Alright, but I don't see how they'll really fit me. I mean, I don't think I'm your size."
"Nonsense, I'm sure they'll fit. If not, we can always make alterations."
With a sigh, Marianne graciously accepted the clothes and stepped behind the dressing partition where she draped them over the edge and began removing her wedding gown and shoes. Afterwards, she selected a yellow dress and adorned it before stepping out from behind the divider and glancing at herself in the nearby mirror:
The dress was a sleeveless halter style and was a bit loose around her upper torso, but otherwise fine…except it barely came down to her knees. Her face turned a bright scarlet color at the thought of her husband seeing her in this current attire. Of course, she liked the idea of that happening, but she also feared flying in this getup. There was no way she'd be allowed to fly through the Fairy Kingdom without something covering her legs. They were completely exposed! Although, it was kinda nice. She actually liked this look on herself: her hair shoulder length and her dress short and sexy. She was gorgeous! However, Marianne wasn't one to flaunt, nor was she a prude. She was a Queen now, and as such, she needed to set an example to her subjects and be sophisticated to some extent.
"Oh my goodness, look at you! That dress fits you perfectly! Granted, it's a little short and a bit loose around your chest, but that's nothing I can't fix. Perhaps if I add some ruffles to the bottom to extend the length and then alter the chest area to accommodate your features…"
"Whatever you think is best," she smiled. "In truth, I kinda like the length, but I could never bring myself to publicly wear something so short without covering my legs. We fairies tend to be a bit reserved and prudish when it comes to our appearance. It's mainly for modesty purposes, but we never really show our legs because it's not the social norm."
"Well, you needn't worry about such things here dearie. Besides, I'm sure my son will adore your new look once we alter this dress for you," she winked which caused Marianne to emit a soft giggle:
"Maybe." *sigh* "I really appreciate you doing this for me. Thank you...Mom."
At that, Griselda smiled, elated that her daughter-in-law addressed her as 'Mom'. "Anytime dear."
