Chapter:21 Missions
Jaune is currently walking out of the amphitheater with his team as they have smiles on their faces.
"I'm excited on what mission we can finally do," Nora said in excitement as she frolic through the halls.
"Easy now Nora," Ren said as he tried to calm down his childhood friend down.
"He's right Nora, not all of the mission will be gone," Pyrrha said.
"I know but I am getting excited for it!" Nora said in excitement when she thought of bashing some Grimms.
"You don't have to wait Miss Valkyrie," Someone said to them as Team JNPR look who was speaking to them and saw that it was Arthuria.
"Hey Arthuria," Jaune greeted as he wave at her eldest sister.
"Hello little brother. What mission are you gonna take for your team?" Arthuria asked.
"Oh, we're thinking of helping with the police," Jaune said.
"Oh, you should then join up with Mister Ketchum, I think he's going there to help as well. I heard he was quite a help when he participated in the Vytal Festival," Arthuria suggested for her little brother.
"Okay, so where are you gonna go?" Jaune asked.
"Meeting with my teammates of course. Nobu and Tamamo are coming here as well," Arthuria said but frown.
Jaune saw this and said, "Arthuria, you need to move on."
Arthuria smiled for his concern, "Don't worry about me okay, you still have a dream you need to do and a life to accomplish."
"Just be safe Arthuria," Jaune said as Arthuria nods and left.
Pyrrha then come to his side and said, "We should go now."
Jaune nods as he and his team walk to the mission board.
Later, Team JNPR are now walking along with Ash around the city as they patrol the area.
"It's nice to finally working with you Mister Ketchum," Pyrrha said generously.
"Please call me Ash, and I appreciate on what you said," Ash said as they continued walking.
"So what are doing?" Nora asked.
"We are patrolling of course, while this might be boring, this could give us some time to eat," Ash said as Jaune snorted.
"Aunt Iris was right about you, you were a glutton," Jaune said as Ash blush in embarrassment while his friends laugh a little. Ren then remembered something.
"So you are a Faunus?" Ren asked as Ash looked at him and nods.
"Yes I am, a Chimera more specifically," Ash said as Jaune's teammates look at him shock. "I got it from my dad and it helped me in a long run."
"So what type of animals do you have?" Nora asked.
"Well I gain more traits when I grew older but my first one is a rare Dragon gene which gave me flight and fire breathing," Ash said as Nora look at him in awe. "I could make my wings appear anytime I want.
"That is quite rare, I only read them in text books but never saw one myself," Ren said.
"Well next, I have Lizard gene which gave me the ability to climb better."
"Then why don't you have any traits that shows you that you are a Faunus?" Pyrrha asked.
"Well my grandfather was human while my grandmother was a Sea Dragon Faunus, my dad looked human because he has human genes on him which gave him the appearance of one," Ash explained as Pyrrha nods. "Anyways, the next one I have is a Monkey gene which gave me great relfex, the fourth is a Crocodilian gene which gave me extra bulk and strength. The fifth is a Frog gene which you already know what it can do, and lasty and embarrassingly is a Mouse."
Everyone chuckled till Ren asked, "Where did you even get those genes."
Ash shrug and said, "My ancestors were diverse so I had a lot of their genes with me. My wife is also also a Dragon Faunus, she only has platings on the back of her body."
"So that's explain why she was quite... prideful," Pyrrha said as Ash laugh at that.
"No kidding, she was quite a spitfire back in the days, but when we got married; everything changed and we have a loving family. Nessa is in her second year of her dream school, and the twins almost finished preschool," Ash said as he smiled with pride.
"You are quite proud Sir Ash," Pyrrha said as Ash smiled till he thought of something.
"Where did Iris even went, I know we went to different directions but I don't even know where."
"Probably going for a mission as well," Jaune said as Ash thought and quickly agreed.
With Team RWBY, they are on their way to Mt. Glenn with Doctor Oobleck and Iris Ketchum as they are still in the Bullhead.
"Look alive kids, this would be the only time you would have this time of action till you graduate," Iris said as her axe is laying on the floor so it wouldn't hit the roof.
"Why are you coming with us again?" Blake asked.
"Bart here want to talk about my tribe," Iris simply said as the four teens look at the hyperactive doctor.
"I really want to know their history, no one really knows every tribe's history," Bartholomew said.
"Most really don't want to be known, I know some tribes when I was young but I heard they already disbanded," Iris said.
"A pity then, their history would have been extraordinarily amazing," Oobleck said till the pilot called out to them.
"We are approaching our destination."
"Well you heard him girls, get your stuff we are gonna land soon," Iris said as everyone prepare their supplies.
"Since we still have time, can we continue our conversation?" Oobleck asked as Iris could only sigh.
"Just don't ask to much," Iris said as they continued their conversation.
Back in Vale, Arthuria is currently waiting by a cafe as she seats down on one by a round table, on a chair with two more others beside her. She grabbed her pocket watch from her left pocket to check the time then sigh as she put it back and drummed her armored hand on the table.
"Athuria!" Arthuria then look in surprise as she look around and was happy to see two woman walking to her.
The first one is a petite woman with long black hair and menacing red eyes.
She wears some kind of black military uniform with a red cape and an ornamented black cap.
The second one is a Fox Faunus with golden brown eyes, pink hair with two long bangs framing her face, and a pair of brown fox ears and a fox tail.
She wears a rather revealing blue kimono with black seams and gold accents, purple stockings, and black high shoes.
"Tamamo! Nobu!" Arthuria called out to her two teammates as the two ran up to her and hugged Arthuria with smiles.
"Its so good to be back together," Tamamo said in joy.
"Yeah, except for that who*e you married," Nobu said which ruined the mood but a swift hit to the head from the Fox Faunus made up for it.
"Don't be rude Nobu, I know that she wasn't the woman we know, but in front of Arthuria," Tamamo scolded her old partner.
"Sorry sheesh," Nobu said as she held her head in pain. "Did you have to hit me hard on the head."
Arthuria giggled to their antics and said, "Well let's eat, I didn't wait here so we could walk around."
"I hope you aren't gonna eat them all like last time," Tamamo said as Arthuria blush in embarrassment from the memory.
"Well let's eat," Nobu said as the three friends sit back down on their seats and quietly eat as they then converse with each other about all of the lost times they had.
While they continued talking, Arthuria look at her two former teammates and couldn't help but smile at the scene that is front of her as she felt like a heavy weight is slowly getting off her shoulders.
'Maybe I should began to move on,' Arthuria thought as she and her friends continued to talk with each other.
Back with Team JNPR, they continued to patrol the premises with Ash till it was now near sunset, but they began to get bored and Nora couldn't help but groan.
"This is boring," Nora complained.
"Well you really should've expect this, nobody will do something bad in an instant, but we can't be so sure," Ash said as he continued to walk ahead of them.
"I'm with Nora on this one, we've been walking for hours and still nothing happens," Jaune said.
"Be careful what you wish for, it might actually happen," Ash said as they continued walking while the the four teens groans.
Suddenly they heard an explosion from the distance as the five of them look to where it was.
"Okay, I said was just a joke, but faith sometimes damn us," Ash said as he then ran over to the location of the explosion along with the four teens.
They soon arrive to see a horde of Grimms coming out of the hole where the explosion was created, and they then Iris with Team RWBY fighting them off in the middle of the horde.
"Let's go kids," Ash said as he drew his katana and rushed into the horde.
"Well you heard him," Jaune said as he and his team brandished their weapons and charged in behind their superior.
Ash easily cut through the horde till he is finally by his wife's side.
"Took you long enough," Iris said as she swung her weapon to a group of Grimm, and easily cut them down.
"What in Oum happened there," Ash asked as he look at the hole on the ground.
"Long story short, the White Fang rode a train filled with bombs to blow up the tunnels to get the Grimms into Vale," Iris explained as she cut an Ursa in half with ease.
"Is anyone else there?"
"Just the White Fang and I am confused as you are," Iris said as the couple continued to fight them off.
With Team JNPR, the evenly gendered team fought some of the horde with Jaune and Nora in the front while Pyrrha and Ren are giving range support.
"Beowolf 3 o clock!" Jaune shouted as Nora quickly swung her hammer to the right to bash the Beowolf's head while Jaune decapitate an Ursa's head.
"There's too many!" Pyrrha called out to them till they heard multiple Bullheads coming there way with reinforcements.
"Well that's not an issue now," Jaune said as they continued fighting their way through the horde.
In one of the Bullheads, Naruto and Boruto held on to the door of the flying vehicle with the other adult members in it as well.
"Ready everyone," Naruto said as he look behind him to see his daughter, grandchildren, and some of his great grandchildren.
"Let's go already," Isshin said as he and I high have their blades ready.
"Those Grimms aren't going away by themselves," Seras said as she and her other sisters have their weapons ready.
"We are ready Tou-san," Himawari said as both Nanami and Shichika nods.
"Then let's roll!" Naruto shouted as he and Boruto jump off followed by everyone else.
With Team RWBY, they are currently in the middle of the horde fighting off the Grimms with their respective weapons as they tried to held off the horde till the ground suddenly covered in a sheet of ice, and the Grimms were shot by bullets made from Fire and Ice Dusts.
They four girls look around and saw Ryouna skiing through the ice like a professional with a pair of handguns.
"Hey there girls!" Ryouna called out to them as she fired more Dust bullets at the Grimms while she continued skiing.
The girls were shock with Blake muttering, "They're here."
"Smash!" They then saw a Ursa being launched to the air by Toshinori as he was in his buff form to fight them off, and is followed by exploding shells from somewhere else.
More and more reinforcements are coming with some of the students finally arrived to help.
In some parts of the city, Himawari along with her grandchildren are fighting together as she has her Byakugan activated.
She killed a Beowolf with a powerful arm thrust and said, "That's another point for me."
Shichika then decapitated two Ursa heads and said, "That's two for me."
"You two shouldn't make this a competition," Nanami said as her nails grew in length and easily cut through the horde.
Himawari laugh and said, "It feels that I'm young again."
In another part of the city, Anjela along with Lusamine and the other blonde man are fighting off the horde as well.
Anjela wore an armor that helps her slightly fly as she has an energy gun to shoot the Grimms down, Lusamine turned to her pseudo Grimm state as she used her immense speed and power to crush their armor, and the blonde man cutting through them with a giant sword without any issue.
"Just like old times right," Lusamine said as she drop kick an Ursa and she went through its chest.
"Too long if you ask me," The blonde man said as he continued to decapitate the Grimms.
"Still angry that your daughter fell in love with a pervert Cloud?" Anjela asked as the now named Cloud shook his head.
"I'm not the one who is mad, Tifa is," Cloud said as he brought his sword up for an overhead swing and crushed the Ursa in front of him.
As the three siblings confirmed fighting in their section, Isshin, Ichigo, and Tier fight the Grimms in another part of the city.
"Come on Ichigo! Your not getting rusty are you?" Isshin said which annoyed his son.
"Shut it old man!" Ichigo yelled at him as Tier sigh because of her brother and nephew.
"Focus boys," Tier said as she swung her oversized sword right at a Ursa.
"Eightfold Blessing of Amaterasu!"
"Three Line Formation!"
"Invisible Air!" The three then heard three shouts from the other parts of the city and is followed by a large explosion.
"Looks like Arthuria is with her friends," Isshin said.
"They are also going all out so why not us," Ichigo said as he held his blade and followed by his father and aunt.
"Bankai!"
"Resurrección!"
In another parts of the city again, Genji and Hanzo easily took them out as the younger brother cut them with his katana while the older shoots them down.
"How many more brother?!" Genji called out to Hanzo as the archer continued to fire more arrows.
"We are pushing them back, we need to get to the plaza!" Hanzo called out to his younger brother as they ran off to the plaza.
Back to the said place, Team RWBY along with everyone else nearby slowly push back the Grimms to where they came from while chaos is happening from somewhere else.
With just a few minutes, everyone managed to push back the Grimms to the blown up hole and celebrated to their victory.
Jaune's older sisters and mother quickly check up on him while the rest of the family finally came to the city to see their loved ones so they could see them if they were okay, and were quite relieved to see them that were okay.
Far away from the celebration is Cinder as she sigh in relief as she look at her Scroll with Neo calling her.
"Good job. We would be in serious trouble if the two were there," Cinder said as Neo nods. "Then tell Roman that the plan will postpone, I might regret this but we still need to do this, but not today."
Neo solemnly nods as the mute hang up, leaving Cinder to contemplate her decisions.
"Am I doing the right thing Rhodes," Cinder muttered as she looked to the sky and quickly joined the group.
In the Land of Darkness, Salem is looking at the horizon on the balcony of her castle as she contemplate everything she learned with the book near her chest.
"What do I do now?" Salem asked literally no one but herself as she continued looking at the horizon.
"My goddess!" Salem then look behind her as a man ran up to her.
He is a pale man with gold eyes and a brown ponytail braided to resemble a scorpion's tail. He wears a white sleeveless jacket with leather belts strapped to it, along with white pants. His jacket is left open, exposing his bare chest, which is crisscrossed with prominent scars. His arms are covered with cream colored bandages and leather vambraces. He also wears leather boots covering his entire shin with knee guards.
On each earlobe is a silver, ring-shaped earring, and near the top of his left ear is another matching earring.
He also has a scorpion stinger around his waist to signify that he is a Faunus.
His name is Tyrian Callows, servant and fanatic of Salem's Inner Circle.
"Yes Tyrian?" Salem asked.
"I was worried for you my mistress, I always saw you in distress and I was worried for your health," Tyrian said as Salem smiled.
"I just have something in thought," Salem said.
"Is it about all of the things you have asked before?" Tyrian asked till he pale. "Its not I'm offending you or anything my goddess!"
Salem quickly raise her hand to stop him talking and said, "Its quite alright Tyrian, and yes its about what I have asked before."
"What is it my mistress?" Tyrian asked as Salem then showed him the book as the fanatic looked confused till he look at every page and was genuinely shock. "This is truly some news."
"It quite is," Salem said as she continued to look to the horizon.
"So what now my queen?" Tyrian asked as Salem thought about it.
"I don't know, they are quite powerful from Cinder's report so I am not worried, but..." Salem then embraced herself as she gain a solemn look on her face. "I miss having the closeness of family for too long."
Tyrian nods as he quite understood his mistress' distress and said, "I would leave you alone for now your grace, just call one of us if you ever need us."
Salem smiled and said, "Thank you Tyrian."
The Scorpion Faunus appreciated the praise as he bowed and said, "Anything for you my goddess."
Tyrian then left Salem alone as the Queen of Grimms continued to look unto the horizon.
"Soon, I will meet you all soon," Salem said to no one as she just stood their taking in some air.
For fate now has different plans.
And that is it for this chapter.
Sorry for taking it so long to update this, its just because I have to focus onto my other story: Victory through Remnant, and me contemplating if I should continue Watching the Elements.
On the side note, more songs will continue on the next chapter as it will be a concert in the Coliseum, and I have a sequel planned for this.
I'm not telling you guys yet but I know that you guys will like it when you finally see it after I finish this.
I also want you guys to please read Victory through Remnant, this story is the only story that I began to like and I don't want to feel saddened because of it not being known much, and my only story to go longer than my reaction stories.
I would also want some suggestions for next chapter since I only have a few songs to even use for the chapter, and I want something that inspires and brings hope to the people.
Another thing, this story will take a long time to update along with Watching the Elements, and my newest story: Pokemon Honor and Pride, because Victory through Remnant is my main focus since I could finally finish a story rather than a reaction.
Last but not least, to anyone that reads Watching the Elements, I know that some you guys are literally confused on what I am even doing on the story as you really don't expect this type of stories; I plan this in the beginning to have only RWBY characters till my mind change to have other series and anime to join in to watch along, because this story introduces my OCs to the worlds that they can go to.
My OCs are just world jumpers, they could go to every world possible like Rick from Rick and Morty, but they have more privilege to have legal access to those worlds, I am really a big fan of the multiverse theory that I began to use it as my base of my OCs, and I still appreciate you guys to even watch it because I made it have everyone to widen their imagination and look on life.
