Seaside Hill was in the middle of a rainy storm as things were pleasantly quiet, which was good for the residents, but not so much the store owners.

"Blegh..." Waluigi commented as he kept munching on his tacos at his taco stand, willing to brave the pouring rain as he waited for some new customers to show up.

At his Artifact Base, Mummipokey chuckled as he simply moved left and right. "Do I enjoy this rain! I may be a mummified cactus, but nothing's going to stop me from enjoying some nice fresh water from the sky!"

Cheepskipper, who was running his Floats N' Boats shop, watched as the lake rose with the rain rising it up, causing several of the boats to shake.

"Hmm. It's happening again." Cheepskipper muttered to himself as he bounced in place. "I hope the customers don't mind if the water soaked into the boats..."

Lakithunder was waiting for lightning to strike as he had his Power Plant charging up, floating on top of it as he moved his hands around. "This weather sure is great! If only it had some shocking energy to help spark up my Power Plant!"

"Not again..." Chief Chilly groaned as he walked past Lakithunder's Power Plant, hearing Lakithunder make yet another electric pun.

Dry Bowser and Petey Piranha were at the mutated plant's Popcorn Parlor, the two of them sitting on a large pile of hot, buttery popcorn as they watched the rain come down more.

"The rain doesn't bother you that much?" Dry Bowser asked as he folded his skeletal hands together, turning to Petey.

Petey simply shrugged as he munched on the popcorn he was resting on, with Dry Bowser shaking his head in response.

Silver The Hedgehog was riding in B.D. Joe's yellow taxi cab with B.D. Joe himself, the two passing by the Ocean Ruin race course as they headed westward.

"Does the rain bother you at all, Joe?" Silver asked as he held his hands together.

B.D. Joe simply laughed as he turned his head to Silver, riding his cab on the wooden bridge going around the grassy topped, orange checkerboard mountain to the north. "Not at all! In fact, I would cite it as a nice change of pace."

Silver smiled in response as they enjoyed the ride together, with the waves in the ocean becoming slightly bigger and making a larger splash on the sandy beach.
