Po fiddled with the scroll in his paws. He still hadn't opened it. Hesitant to learn it's contents in fear of accidentally hurting Tigress or MaSha. He never knew of a mission of The Furious Five finding a tiger. Especially since it mostly involves Tigress's past. He knew everything there was to know about The Furious Five. He only knew of her being left at an orphanage.
Was this the real backstory of Master Tigress and her little sister?
Did the rest also have a different backstory than the ones he knew?!
Was he really that un-knowledgeable of The Furious Five? What kind of fan was he?!
With a heavy sigh he finally opened the scroll and embarked on the new scroll of information and adventure.
MaSha growled as she punched the training dummy angrily. The poor dummy was bouncing back and forth between the wall and the young teen. It was surprising that she hadn't made a whole in the wall with it…yet.
"Are you okay?" Yang asked. He had been looking for her when he heard her grunts and yells coming from the training hall.
"No!" She punched the dummy again.
"Don't tell me it has to do with The Dragon Warrior." Yang frowned.
"Ugh!" MaSha delivered a spiral kick to the poor dummy. This time unfortunately it did not return as it went straight through the wall and into the courtyard. Yang sighed as he walked over to her.
"MaSha, I get that meeting new people is difficult. Especially someone who is really close to your sister." Yang spoke in a calm tone. "But beating up the children's training dummy isn't going to fix anything."
"You don't know that." MaSha crossed her arms, turning away from him.
"Trust me." Yang chuckled light heartedly. "It won't."
MaSha growled as she went towards one of the punching bags, delivering a powerful blow that knocked it off its stand.
"Why don't you want to give him a chance? When any of the other members of The Furious Five come, you don't lash out like this." Yang looked at her worryingly. MaSha grabbed the punching bag she had knocked off and began to hang it again. Only for her next punch to knock it off once again.
"Stupid bag." She growled.
"MaSha." Yang softly placed a paw on her left shoulder. MaSha didn't look at him and instead looked at the fallen punching bag.
"The Dragon Warrior. Out of anyone in China. She had to choose the Dragon Warrior." MaSha growled.
"What do you mean?" Yang raised a brow. MaSha turned to look at him, causing him to lower his paw off her shoulder.
"You know what mother will do when she finds out that her oldest daughter is with the most powerful warrior in China?"
"They're courting?" Yang asked.
"Not yet." MaSha crossed her arms with a sigh. "The Dragon Warrior is different from the rest of the five. He's Tigress's best friend and partner. From what Tigress has told me in the messenger scrolls, they do everything together. They go on long missions together. They fight bandits together. They cook together. They even go to Bao Gu Orphanage together to play with the kids."
"Wow, they spend a lot of time together." Yang chuckled. "Kind of like you and me." Yang smiled.
"If I was actually allowed to leave Wung Ho Valley." MaSha rolled her eyes. "I still have two more years before I can leave."
"Don't you like it here?" Yang frowned.
"Yang. You're my best friend. And while I enjoy the time we spend together, it's not the same without my sister." MaSha looked at the ground. "Even you're gone for months at a time and I'm left alone in the palace with the masters and palace geese. I'm still alone for most of the time." Yang sighed softly and gently took her into his arms. MaSha was slightly surprised by the sudden hug. It had been a while since the two physically touched like this. Nonetheless she hugged him back, laying her head on his shoulder.
"I wish I could trust him." MaSha whispered.
"You trust your sister don't you?" Yang asked.
"What kind of question is that?" MaSha backed away from the hug slightly. "Of course I trust her."
"Then trust her trust in the Dragon Warrior." Yang smiled. "I know it will take you time. But I also know you are capable of trust. Or at the very least giving him a chance."
"I've tried to give him a chance." MaSha backed away, fully releasing the hug from him. "But something always prevents me from doing so. One moment we're talking casually, the next I want to tear him apart." She growled slightly before kicking the punching bag again and knocking it off again into the wall.
"Maybe you're just jealous of his relationship with your sister." Yang suggests. "Which would make sense now that I think about it."
"I don't get jealous." MaSha crossed her arms.
"Right. You get even." Yang chuckles. "Just like your sister. You two are so much alike." MaSha rolled her eyes looking away from him. Yang grabbed her shoulder softly once again. "When you're carving the wood, you should try getting to know him. Maybe you have more in common than you think." He smiled softly.
MaSha looked at him in thought. Maybe Yang was right. She was interested in learning more about wood carving and painting. She seemed to have that in common with The Dragon Warrior. Only problem was that he now had her scroll. He was going to see her in a completely different light now. It was possible that he might see Tigress differently as well.
Po bit his lip as he read the scroll in front of him once again. He had read it about three times now. At the very least he was glad he wasn't told something different about where Shifu had gotten Tigress.
Still all this new information was well…new to him. In just a few days Tigress had learned so much about her past. MaSha had gotten to meet her oldest sister and was rescued from their vile mother.
Mistress Daiyu.
He had heard about her before. She had trained with Oogway for sometime, until one day she disappeared from the Valley. The citizens of The Valley of Peace assumed she had passed unexpectedly. Perhaps in battle or from a flu that had been spreading at the time.
Po didn't know much about her. The scrolls he had found in Beijing about her only described that she had started practice in magic and potions. It never mentioned that she had a husband and children. He knew she was dangerous though. Fighting her would be a suicide mission if one didn't know anything about Chi or had control over it to use it as a weapon.
He huffed as he rubbed his face in frustration. The revelation of who was his best friend's and sister's mother, truly shouldn't shock him but it did.
The Master of Hard-Style and The Holder of The Tiger's Chi.
The daughters of Mistress Daiyu, the most powerful witch in China.
I'll admit this story is turning out way longer than I anticipated but there's so much I want Po to uncover. Of course for the sake of bonding, he won't.
Not yet anyway xD
MaSha's story has three chapters and we're only on Chapter 2! Woohoo!
Next chapter will likely have a bit of a time skip. Not too big though. Po just got an overwhelming amount of information in a few hours. What's he going to say to the sisters? Hmmmm
