Please Feel at Ease Mr. Ling

I do not own the story Please feel at Ease Mr. Ling. I am only writing for entertainment purposes. This is truly fiction.

If you have not seen the show past episode 6 I would beware of spoilers.

This is my what if story...

Although I love this couple together I did not think I could forgive Ling Yue so easily as Anxin did. On these points:

Point Number 3 Nothing is said about the possible danger to HER while someone had tried to kill him. ( He doesn't tell her anything and only somewhat stays under the radar)

Although I love this story and Ling Yue I have thought too much about if I would forgive him or at least so easily. What if Anxin found out about his secret earlier on? How would it change the dynamic?

Please Feel at Ease Mr. Ling Chapter 3

Anxin doesn't mean to but she starts to waver. The moments flash through her head. Eightie staring at her as she had fixed the water faucet from pouring water everywhere. After that his demeanor further softened especially when compared to all of their clashing at first. (Although Eightie was a bit awkward with offering her a jacket and spouting off facts about germs..) How much he worked to get her to agree to go see the movie with him, and how he had waited there for hours when she was stuck at work...How he had come to protect her from her boss, showing off to her colleagues at risk to himself. Updating her computer and the program after she had complained about losing her drawings.

Eightie- or now Mr. Ling had even come down to meet Anxin when it was dark knowing it was easier not to be alone walking home. Before his flirting had been more general teasing and playfulness, later it had strengthened and gotten specific to her. Anxin then remembered the look on his face when she had found the paper earlier that morning. She pushes his hand away and attempts to shove him back by his shoulders but he won't be moved far. "I have one question Mr. Ling." She asks looking up at him. She wanted to read his face for this one. "Anything." Mr. Ling's eyes brighten with hope which doesn't last long at her next question.

"If I hadn't found the papers would you have told me?" Anxin asks seriously, studying his face. "I..." He's at a loss for words. She shoves him hard again and he is pushed back a step finally. "What was your plan Mr. Ling? To lie to me for all this time and just ...happen upon your memory and the fact that I have the shares and can help you with the company? Just like you 'happened' upon the money you found?" Mr. Ling catches her hand. "Anxin..." She shoves it away. " I am getting your stuff." She huffs as she slips past him and into the apartment. Anxin takes a moment to compose herself once she gets inside. She hurriedly drinks a bit of water and paces a moment wringing her hands out to settle her nerves. After all they had been through had Mr. Ling really planned for her not to find out until he deemed it time? She suspected he may truly have done as she said and tried to overwhelm her with only the good things he 'suddenly' remembered. That he could take care of her and what fate that they had crashed together...She cringed inwardly.

Had Anxin really hugged the computer and said "I'll do anything you say in the future.""? Ugh. She saw it for what it was now: A bribe. Though...she was just going to take it as payment for all the trouble Mr. Ling had caused. He had caused a fire and flooded her apartment after all. Once his stuff was gathered in a bag she opened the door surprised to find him closer than she had expected. She attempted to hand him the bag and shut the door but Mr. Ling's hand shot out stopping it from closing. Her surprise keeps her from reacting.

"Anxin..." Mr. Ling stared at her his eyes looking sad. "I'll admit I didn't handle it well...I am sorry. But know I wasn't going to keep the truth from you. I wrestled with it a lot as we got closer...I wanted to know for sure you'd be safe before getting you involved. I also... didn't want you to hate me. I was going to confess to all my misdeeds. I plan to show you I truly care about you. I do want to lead the company, by showing I work the hardest. I like you a lot Anxin and I want you by my side." Anxin stares at him and shrugs tiredly. "Good luck with the company Mr. Ling. It has been a long day." He sighs and nods. "I will go, but I will see you soon." Before she can question it, he is gone.

The next day Anxin didn't sleep well. She had been going over all she had learned for a long time. The house felt empty without Eightie. She kept on chastising herself for feeling this way but she had to remind herself it was natural. Though they had clashed at the beginning they had come around to each other. It was normal to get used to an adjustment in what had become a routine. To think he was Ling Yue all along. Anxin didn't pay much attention to the news but now that she knew him, she was surprised how easy it was to come across the story. It was a miracle no one from her work had recognized him that day he had stayed to show off to her coworkers instead of hiding like she had told him too. Though her coworkers' attitudes had definitely changed after that.

Anxin started feeling guilty at the risk he had taken but then reminded herself it was his choice. Really she should be mad still if anyone had recognized him and put them together...She shook off the thought. Mr. Ling is gone now. It was for the best. She would pay him back and be done with it. At least she didn't have to pay for a hotel now. She sighed and got ready for the day. She looked at the notebook to calculate how much she owed him. They were from two different worlds she thought. Mr. Ling , major influencer in the business world probably doesn't even blink at amounts that I would have to work a year for. It would never work between us. He will likely go after someone more sophisticated and not think much of her again once he understood she wasn't going to help with the company. If Ling Yue (and at times Anxin finally was beginning to be less formal in her head at least, as he had lived in her home for a long while no matter what she had called him) asked her again she would make it clear to him that she had no interest in anything to do with him or his company. Suddenly the doorbell rang and Anxin went to answer it, suddenly nervous her nerves starting quickly to go into overdrive. Was it him?
