Specialist HQ

"Who are we looking at Mason?" Ruin asked as everyone stood, looking at the hologram of someone's personal profile. The person had no picture, no date of birth, no place of birth, just a description.

"This is a man that my grandfather had briefly worked with during the first Cold War. When he was active, he simply didn't exist on paper. Even I don't know exactly what his background is, or what he stands for. The very few people who did are all dead now. But what I do know is that from old reports written by the caretakers of his time, he had experiences that seemed all to familiar with our current situation. He's been frozen for almost 100 years, reports rumor about a special sedative made just for him. Supposedly it was still in development when they gave it to him, so theres no telling how it affected his body." Savannah spoke up to the specialists gathered in the brefing room.

"And you think he can help us because why...?" Battery crossed her arms.

"Because he was one of the most powerful and deadliest men of his time. Not to mention the liquids that run through his blood may theoretically give us a fighting chance against these walking corpses."

"So you want us to go find this guy and bring him back, when we don't even know his motives, his abilities, his name, who he was, or if he's even still alive?" Outrider nearly scoffed.

"Yes. Who he was won't matter too much. I beleive I know enough. But yes, we need him."

"Sounds like a pretty big gamble to me. Wouldn't you say mate?" Prophet nudged Reaper who gave a robotic nod.

"Hejek, you've been quiet. What do you think?" Battery looked across the room at Firebreak, everyone else's eyes followed.

"Spectre and Seraph haven't made much noise either." Firebreak pointed out.

"They never do." Savannah added.

"I think it's... not a wise decision. We may open this tube up and find a dusty skeleton." Firebreak looked at the holographic profile in the center of the room.

"Hejek, perhaps they may like setting things abalze like you do. You always complain you have nobody to share your love of flames with." Savannah convinced.

He was silent for a minute. "I think its worth a shot." He changed his answer, perking up.

"We have no other choice." Spectre spoke with his synthesized voice. He walked out of the room and down the hall.

"Where are you going?" Ruin asked as he ealked past him. He didn't respond.

"To prep his gear." Seraph answered for him as she followed out of the room.

"Why the hell not." Nomad followed the two.

"So it's settled then." Savannah spoke up. "I'll get the ship ready. Oh and team, I don't want him removed from his chamber. And bring back any viles and important evidence you can." She held their attention just before everyone dispersed.

Norway

"In here." Ruin led the others. They had parked the ship right outside a massive cave imbedded within the side of a mountain. "Keep your eyes open, theres no telling what we're looking for or if theres any danger around the corner." He said before everyone distanced themselves some to search.

The cave had massive sharp rocks inside. Some hung from the ceiling and dripped with moisture. "Hey what about this?" Nomad pressed the obvious red button furthest into the cave against a wall. The door slid open to reveal a small, aged looking elevator.

"Nice job, Nomad. Everyone make sure your safteys-" Before Outrider could finish her sentence there was a loud bang that came from Firebreak's Razorback weapon.

"You didn't put your saftey on?!" Ruin shouted as they rushed for the elevator on the other side of the cave.

"I thought I did!" He retorted.

"You idiot!" Outrider scolded as there were loud groaning noises coming from different directions of the cave.

"Zombies!" Nomad pointed ag different directions.

"Of course there's hoards of them!" Battery complained.

They fought their way through forcefully towards the elevator. Outrider used her vision pulse to help Reaper aim with his death machine attatched to his arm while the others pushed forwards.

"We've got you, come on!" Prophet said from the saftey of the elevator with the others. He used his Tenpest while Seraph used her precise aim for her Annhilator pistol. Outrider and Reaper crammed into the elevator and pressed what looked like a close button. Blood splattered down on them from a remaining zombie as the doors shut and the elevator descended.

The elevator paused, the doors opened to reveal a long hallway with various rooms. The team concluded them to be minature labs.

"What were the Soviets testing with here?" Nomad asked curiosily as they wandered down the hallway. Old, rusted looking lights showed them the way from the towering ceiling above.

"This. This has to be the one." Ruin said, as they reached a massive metal door. "It slides open. Quick we need to find a terminal somewhere before the corpses find us."

"I beleive someone already has." Reaper commented. Doors from the labs burst open, soldiers flooded through them. Modern Soviets.

"Guns down! Put the guns down!" The Russian soldiers shouted.

Everyone did as asked. Speactre walked behind the towering Reaper and beant over, acting as if he were dropping his weapon. As he beant over he turned his active camo on. Nobody could see him. He silently began his way around the gaurds.

"Who the hell are you all?!" One of the soldiers asked the Specialists.

"Wanderers." Ruin spoke up. "Survivors that is." His put a hint of despiration in his voice. "We're just trying to find a safe place to hide sir! Please don't kill us!"

"What kind of 'wanderers' are you? I don't beleive most survivors would be carrying such elite gear such as yourselves, especially with the... cyborg." One of the men approached him. "Where did you get this gear from?" He asked circling Ruin, observing.

"Found it off some dead soldiers."

"Of course you did." The man chuckled. "DNI..." The man muttered in realisation of who he was talking to.

Suddenly a smoke canister was tossed into the large group. Spectre appeared from the shadows, impaling one of the enemies with his ripper blade and going on a killing spree.

The other specialists quickly snatched up their weapons and quickly cleared the room.

"It's the thrill of the kill." Spectre penetrated his blade through the final gaurd.

"Theres more coming from the elevator!" Firebreak alerted the team.

"Those aren't men... Zombies." Seraph let out a frustrated sigh.

"Shit, they must have climbed down the shaft." Battery shot the zombie through the skull.

"Everyone keep your guns on those zombies, I'll find us a way in." Ruin ordered.

Seconds flew by and so did minutes. The room kept filling with zombies and started to exceed the group's limit.

"Move." Spectre left his post on the front line to help open the door. He activated his blade and began cutting into the door. The metal made a lericing sizzling noise as it cut. A few moments later the door slid open. The team rushed inside.

Speactre found a small panel by the door and opened it to reveal a small set of wires. He cut one of them, causing the doors to shut. There was a riged hole in them where Spectre had cut. Luckily it wasn't one that a zombie could fit through.

"We don't got a lot of time, we have no choice but to remove him from his hibernation chamber." Battery said walking over towards the tall tube in the wall.

"My calculations suggest a 12% survival rate if subject..." Reaper read the label on the tube. "A116P25 is taken out of his chamber."

"We don't have the time Reaper, more enemies will be here in a matter of minutes, we're taking him with us!" Outrider marched up towards a new large panel. "How are you supposed to work this thing??"

"It's very old, theres no telling." Firebreak simply just shot the panel until the chamber popped out from the wall and lowered more towards the floor. The door slid open, and Outrider and Reaper shot the ice and caught the limp body that fell forwards.

"Check his pulse." Ruin said.

"He's still alive!" Outrider was somewhat shocked as she and Reaper detached tubes from the unconscious body.

Seraph did a quick search and swipped anything that looked of importance.

"Mason, we've got the package. But we need that exfil now!" Spectre said, hearing more enemies making their way behind the door.

"Its on its way, just hang tight." The woman responded.

"Here we go again..." Outrider prepared her bow.
