Okay so, updates aren't working again as usual. But not to fear hopefully this will clear up soon. In the meantime I'm just gonna get a few more out here. Before my big day and reveal on why I'll be gone.
[The Ride To The Bunny Tribe Territory]
It was Itami and his full squad, plus Rory, Lelei, Tuka and Yao were all set off on their new adventure as the rode through the country side north. Where Forests were thick and plentiful with life and possible surprises around every corner. At their current speed they would reach their destination in less than a day and a half, thanks to the tandem rotor helicopter they had in their inventory. This made flying above the area easy, especially since they had no desire to risk taking several long days to cross the continent.
The plan was to go to halfway and refuel before going the rest of the way the. waiting for an a C-130 to drop the rest off. From what they could tell, this trip would be something that they would need to be more prepared for than any other. Everyone was on edge, but they had battles in themselves as well as outside.
The only thing they had to battle with at the moment was boredom, which some didn't make easy. As some of the group slept to stay refreshed Itami checked with the pilots on their ETA to their destination. So far they were making great time, maybe they'd catch him early. Well, time Itami use this time for himself and sleep as well.
[Several Hours Later]
His dream was peaceful for a nerd, him against thousands of the undead forces, armed with a mighty sword and a gun. He stood atop a hill and lept to the floor to them to have his epic battle. Nothing restricted him from attacking as he unloaded his gun and swung his blade at the hordes. He was truly a hero, defeating evil and looking damn good while doing so. A tiny fairy came by to congratulate him.
Until the fairy started blinking red and shouted at his face, "Lieutenant, Emergency! Get up!"
When he snapped to, Kuribayashi slapped his face and screamed again, "Wake UP!"
The aircraft shook violently as all the troops held onto the netted walls to keep themselves steady in their seats. Itami managed to get to the door, thanks to him being right next to it as he opened the door to check on the situation. He saw both pilot rapidly flipping switches and trying to maneuver the controls. Itami stayed in the doorway until he yelled for their attention, "What's the hell is going on?!"
"Sir, we're taking enemy fire from several wyvern and their riders, as well as several arrows from the ground, specifically what we believe are ballistas." The pilot stated as he fought the controls.
Outside the scene wasn't pretty, as they were being shot at by said arrows, just barely missing them. The Wyverns were trying to bite and coral the helicopter out the sky, while the riders probed the metal hull with long lances. Whoever these people were, clearly wanted them down no matter what.
"Do whatever you have to do just get us out of here!" Itami ordered as they began to keep wobbling.
The pilots nodded and they continued their own battle with the unfavorable flying conditions in front of them. When the door closed, Itami fell back in his seat and hoped that they would make it out of this unscathed.
On the ground, was none other than Zorzal El Caesar, as he was well ready for this as he ordered his men to keep firing at the machine. With a wicked smile, it was almost as though he knew exactly who was on that ship, as he laughed at the prey he was now hunting. With his bunny warrior and slave at his side he grinned and taunted his enemy.
Pointing his sword at the sky, "I knew it! If they were truly watching me as that... soldier suggested then this was the perfect plan! Now he can't haunt me anymore! You hear me Itami!? I don't fear you anymore!"
"Prince Zorzal. We've received word... the leader of Blackstone wishes to speak with you." One his trusted Officers approached him.
Growing an even more wicked grin he realized this can lead to nothing but victory for him, as even the Japanese couldn't possibly be able to fight against Blackstone. Especially if Blackstone were informed before hand about who their enemy was. Making them even more eager to join the fight.
Zorzal waves his hand, "Once that flying abomination falls I'm counting on you to send out the bandits and monsters. Understood?"
"Yes Your Highness." The Officer bowed as he rallied a group of thieves and demihumans who were more savage than the ones at Alnus or Italica.
Tyuule lowered her head as she knew this could possibly end with the Empire winning, knowing she may lose her dream of seeing the man who brought her so low crumble down. She could only hope the Men in Green would survive this encounter and live on to defeat Zorzal. She bit her thumb hoping to whatever God would hear her plea to spare these people's life.
[Within the Chinook Helicopter]
Despite the pilots best efforts to keep everything steady as possible they possibly could it was no use. They would go down, the best the pilots could do is help keep it steady enough to slow their fall so they could have the safest crash landing. Sending out their final SOS to HQ they went back to keeping watching the world come closer and closer to their face. Then the crash, as everything was shook; from the gear stowed away to the people inside as the Chinook did a spin and a full tumble.
After recovering from the crash, after a minute of pain Itami stood up, "Everyone okay? Headcount, sign off if you're dead."
His team groaned and laughed as they started to stand and rise up from the floor.
Opening the rear doors the group stumbled out as they had their rifles in hand as they got out and had their guns up and aimed in different directions, to make sure they were safe. After a few seconds of aiming they rose from their defensive square position. Setting up whatever defenses they could have them enough confidence to get themselves better situated.
Itami stood in front of his team as he began to issue orders, "Alright team, I need Kurokawa to check on the pilots. Everyone else, check the gear, see what we can carry and what we can afford to lose." As Itami said that one of his teammates in green came walking out with a large backpack and an ammo bag underneath it. He immediately congratulated who it was, "Good job. See, team? do what he's doing."
"Itami, who is that?" Yao asked as she didn't recognize the man from the original teams she met.
The man turned around and had a more tanned face than the rest of the squad, he wore tactical glasses and was armed with a different heavier weapon. Instead of the Howa Type 64 rifle it looked to have been an M60 LMG, like the one's you see in movies. He had an American flag etched onto his right shoulder as he stood there looking back at his Squad Leader.
Itami aimed his weapon at him but was stopped by Kuwahara, the old timer started explaining his situation, "Easy Lieutenant, he's with us."
"What? What's going on?" Itami asked.
"The US wanted to lend us a few soldiers, supplies and all that kind stuff. Their current leader believes it would be the kind thing to do as well as keep other countries from trying anything drastic." Kuwahara explained as both of them walked over towards the new member.
He stood at attention and waited for Itami to acknowledge him, when he was signaled off he spoke clear to Itami without looking him in the eye, "Lieutenant, I'm Chief Petty Officer Louis Ramirez. From the US Armed forces, specifically the US Navy. I'm a member of the Seabees, (CB's) assigned to your team."
"And you're okay with us? You're not gonna try to stab us in our sleeps right?" Itami joked around.
"Uh... no... I'm just... I'm really excited to be here." Ramirez answered with a nod.
Itami sighed as he figured where this was going, "Let me guess, because you're honored to serve he hero of Ginza."
"Uhh no... sir, I was told that you were a ummm... nerd for manga and anime." Ramirez corrected, remembering exactly how hardly anyone volunteered for this. After hearing the stories it was concluded that Itami may be a magnet for bad luck, only the crazy one's lifted their hands. Then the crazy one's put their hands down when they discovered that he was an Otaku and a slacker, leaving Ramirez standing.
Itami rubbed the back of his neck feeling rather rude for assuming that was the only reason people wanted to hang out with him, "Uhmm... really, that's cool."
"Lieutenant, we got all the gear we can carry, including the radio, problem is sir that we're still out in the open." Kuribayashi reported.
Itami thought about what to do next, "Our best bet would be to be to put as much distance between those guys and us as possible. We should head North towards Ashfield."
"You think that's a good idea." Kuribayashi asked.
Itami let a long breath out as he went over the options, "Well, I'm not sure if we brought enough ammunition for this mission so I say the safest thing is head to a place we might be able to get help or a place we can defend. How are we looking on athe pilots Kurokawa?"
"Both unconscious, some minor damages but we should be able to get them to a safe are." She said as she got them out with the help of Sergeant First Class Tomita and Leading Private Wataru Katsumoto.
Itami looked at thr ground thinking about his next plan and who could help, "Lelei, do you think you know any magic spells to help carry them along."
"Yes... I do... a simple levitation spell will allow me to carry them on stretchers. Considering they're much lighter compared to a carriage or boulders, I should be able to move them for long periods at a time." Lelei stated as she lifted the two pilots with her magic glowing staff.
Itami smiled as he prepared everyone by standing on top of a rock, "Alright people we're heading North to Ashfield, keep your wits about you and your eyes up. They may not be as kind to outsiders as some people have been."
"Sound off! We leave as soon as Lieutenant Itami gives the word!" The old man, Kuwahara shouted as everyone did one final call in and weapons check to make sure everything was fine.
Now they were off, the 3rd Recon Team, Lieutenant Itami, Rory, Lelei, Yao, Tuka and their new American ally. All on their way on yet another mission to apprehend the crown prince Zorzal and trial him so he may face justice. Now slightly delayed and derailed to a land where the Lord had completely closed the borders to his land.
Here we go again.
I believe this might be my first time introducing an OC... I guess it is. Let me know what you think of Ramirez and I'll will hopefully respond to any questions or comments. Hopefully you'll also receive the update; seriously Fanfiction, fix this issue please. Anyway, that's it for now.
Churchisalive, signing off for now.
