So I'm not getting email notifications but I have seen your reviews and will respond to them as I promised I would.
Now, Guest said and asked, "I agree with you statement honestly thought there was a tove but I was completely surprised that this is the only one.
With that said could you redo a different version of this where the main villain of For honor is still alive and views this (now faction ie The JSDF) as the clear Wolves (to use her term. And will do anything to Copy their technical magical weapons From diplomacy to espionage and probably look at guns and aircraft IE (Flying Machines)? be like. They are incredibly powerful but where is the change and the sport of close combat? So what do you think I'll be waiting for the next chapter"
Okay first, I was surprised no one thought of this idea as well it seemed too perfect. Now as for that idea, I have to say that it can't work because the Main villain is actually dead. She was beaten by the Orochi, but the Warmongers follow in her path.
[The Citadel]
The Lord Warden rushed out from the gates to see so many of his subjects and citizens fleeing into the safety of the walls. They flocked past him as he ushered them in while making his way to one of the nearest officers to discover what was happening. The look of fear in their faces could only be compared to that time he lead Blackstone to march on the Viking food storehouse. Something that haunts his dream to this day.
He grabbed his the Officer close to gate and pulled him to the side so the two could speak in private. The Warden faced him and looked him in the eye, "What is happening? Why are these people running?"
"My Lord, they come from the mill. The townspeople say that they witnessed some beast that haven't seen before crash into the forest near their village. No more than an hour ride away." The Officer repeated the story he heard.
The Lord thought hard of what should be his next course of action, "Have they discovered what it was?"
"They say it looked like a winged buffalo or a very fat wyvern. It was also chased by several other wyvern from what some stories say. What are your orders?" The Officer asked patiently.
Thinking about the situation he was about to suggest to wait and see but his daughter joined in, "Father, many of the townspeople speak of a creature falling in the forest. If it injured should we at least put it out of it's injury."
"Daughter... that is an excellent idea. We shall take a few good fighters to go and see what we can do..." The Lord complimented his daughters kind heart.
His daughter was actually taken by surprise by the compliment, "Father, do you truly mean this?"
"Of course, there are times that we must be compassionate and understanding, this may be one of them." The Warden left to assemble his most trusted allies and his best fighters at the same time. The Conqueror who he had aided before that sealed their friendship, the Peacekeeper who followed him when he deserted Blackstone and the Lawbringer Holden Cross assigned before leaving. A few archers, a few officers and finally a couple foot soldiers. Whatever it was, he was hoping it was friendly or injured so there wouldn't be much of a fight.
[Cinder Hill: (4v4 version)]
The 3rd Recon team made it to the village, armed and ready as they stood at attention waiting for Itami to give the next order. Eyes could be anywhere as the team kept looking around, waiting for whatever was creeping to appear from the shadows. Even their steps were careful in case they would accidentally set off some type of trap.
Itami rounded up his team to group up, "Okay guys, let's try to keep things peaceful, just like our first time here. Try to make friends with the locals and hopefully they won't kill us."
"He's joking right?" Ramirez asked.
"I wish he were." Kuribayashi sighed.
The team split up to see check the village and see who was around to make contact with only to find the town completely empty. No one in their homes, no one in the street, not even the sound of conversation could be heard from them. After a few minutes of searching around the team regrouped together near the center of town to discuss options.
"This isn't right, could they have seen the crash and fled?" Itami asked.
Ramirez agreed with him, "Seems like it, they saw a machine they couldn't describe so they may have labeled it a beast and ran away to safety."
"Simple human nature, if you don't understand something you either learn from some foreign object or run from it." Kuwahara stated.
Tuka's ear twitched as he looked in the distant to see what had disturbed her hearing, "Um, Father."
"I believe now would be the best time as of any to rest and radio in for help." Kurokawa suggested as she approached the leader.
"Smart move... Tozu, get on the radio and let HQ know about our situation. Tell them we need medical extraction, possibly some extra ammunition and rations. And whatever Kurokawa thinks we might need." Itami asked of one his men.
Yao's ears also picked up the same noise approaching them as she too tried to warn them, "Master Itami..."
"As for the meantime, see if we can't set up any defenses, have the new guy help set up traps and see what might be able to help us out. Okay you two?" Itami quizzed to Katsumoto and Sasagawa.
The two nodded together and agreed, "Understood sir."
"ITAMI/FATHER!" Tuka and Yao yelled to get his attention finally.
Covering his ears from the loud noise he turned to snap on the two elves, "Damnit! What?!"
"We have company." Tuka answered as she pointed to the nearby brush leading out of the village.
[Behind the Brush]
The Lord Warden hid in the brush with his second in command, Conqueror stone and his daughter. As they oversaw their possible enemies or allies from a distance, they studied their movement, their weapons and how the spoke to one another. Not really paying attention to the language but more of the tone in each persons voice.
From what they could tell the one named (EE-TOM-EE), must be the leader from the way they address him. While he may not be the biggest he must have some standing as a leader if his men feel so comfortable and relaxed with him.
As he admired these outlanders he soon saw the elven women point in their direction. It would seem as though they had been spotted by the very people they were hoping to catch off guard. It was lucky that the Conqueror and his daughter were close by as he raised a hand ordering his team to stay put.
"What's the plan brother?" The Conqueror, commander stone questioned.
The Warden went back to the old days, when the two of them took on Iron Legion deserters who left their posts, "I'd like to talk to them... Daughter, brother... join me."
The Conqueror joined his brother and kept his flail in his hand, prepared to drop it and hold off the enemy for his leader. The young maiden Warden joined in as she too kept her sword on her side, ready if things went astray. Walking over to greet, make peace or combat these new comers.
[With The 3rd Recon Team]
Commander Itami spotted the knight rise out of the grass and slowly approach them, weapon stowed to the side. He wore a an armor set close to both light and medium build, clearly meant for quick, strong attacks. Then behind him was another one that looked similar to him but with a smaller frame and build, clearly a female knight. Finally the big one, he wore an enclosed helm, as well as steel spaulders and a pair of poleyns. The Conqueror wore a leather jerkin with some visible plating as well as a decorated cloth scapular. His forearms were wrapped in steel chains and manacles, showing off his well toned and defined muscles. Different from anything they've seen before from the imperial armies they've met in the past.
Itami had to think quick, as his team was about to draw their weapons on the incoming three they could see approach them. He stood in front of them as he raised his arms to lower the barrels, by giving the motion to go lower. He thought of doing the peaceful option as he looked back at his team, "Alright guys peace talks, just like we've done before. I'm gonna need two of you to come with me. Kuribayashi and the new guy..."
"Why us sir?" Kuribayashi asked.
Itami looked away as he answered her question. "Well... you're the most intimidating one out of all of us... and the new guy has the biggest gun with the most ammo. Also I'd rather not have these guys become too scared or hostile at the sight of Rory the Reaper."
"So it's a matter of intimidation while trying to remain peaceful? Understood." Ramirez nodded as he stood behind Itami.
The two groups of three slowly approached each other as they all got the chance to inspect the other side. Judging by the armor the knights wore, the JSDF could clearly see the advancement in armor between them and the usual people they face. And the knights noticed how all their armor was mainly cloth, either foolish or genius made for comfort and flexibility. The knights also noticed the weapons were unusual, not like anything they had seen before, this just made them more cautious.
The two groups studied the other side for what felt like minutes waiting for one of the other one's to break the silence. Which Itami was happy to do, "Savaar har, wugruu. (Translation: Hello, how are you doing?)"
The Lord Warden was taken aback that the stranger spoke their language, "I am well... how are you?"
"Good... good." Itami responded. And like that the most awkward first meeting between the JSDF and the Iron Legion was made.
"Forgive me, but I have several questions for you, if you'd be so kind to answer them for me?" Warden asked as he kept one hand raised in the air and the other on his hip.
Itami lowered his rifle to the ground as he spoke to the ruler of the land, "Me and my team were attacked on our way to a bunny warrior village. We crashed near here and started moving away so the people who attacked us wouldn't find us."
"I see... where do you come from?"
"Alnus Hill... we're from the other side of the gate."
"The Gate?! I heard that was just a myth... what's it like? Please tell me..." The younger female Warden begged to the person in front of her, being Ramirez.
The much older Warden turned to face her, "Daughter! Apologies, she is keen to explore the world."
"No worries... I understand." Itami accepted the apology.
The Warden was still wary of his guests, "What was attacking you, if I might ask?"
"The Imperial army of Prince Zorzal... But believe me when I say that the Empire was in no way involved with his takeover or his actions." Itami explained the last part as best he could.
The Warden took a moment to ponder what he had just been told, "So... it would seem that the Empire is beginning to fall within itself. How sad... but why would they head here? They know we don't wish to involve ourselves with their wars."
"That's what we're trying to find out, while also attempting to apprehend the Crown Prince, after all the war crimes he committed." Itami answered as they all erased up on all their weaponry.
At the worst moment as one of the Legionnaire's scouts had come running towards them as fast as he could. The small man was a distance away but his shout could easily be heard, "My Lord! Attackers, incoming! They appear to be-GAH!!!"
The small man attempting to warn them of the incoming threat was struck with a spear right through his chest. The spear was held by a savage centaur, accompanied by both wolfmen and some regular soldiers from the Crown Prince's men, as well as some other soldiers wearing kobold heads, the Sweepers. Judging by the surrounding numbers, there must have been over a hundred or more of them. Itami raised his rifle and called for his team, "Team, we got incoming at my at our twelve o'clock."
The third Recon Team jumped into action, with all guns aimed at the enemy, waiting to make a move. Kuribayashi shouted back at her fellow teammates, "The guys in green, yellow and white are on our side. Don't shoot at them."
"Iron Legion, Assemble!" The Lord Warden declared as he raised his longsword. And like that: three archers, two officers and a dozens or so foot soldiers came and grouped up with The Warden. After them came Lawbringer Holden Cross's replacement, and Mercy, the Peacekeeper, his wife and mother to his daughter.
The small group lined up and prepared for the charge incoming to them. The enemy rushed over the hill, past the thick trees, and into the clearing where they met the force of the JSDF. Once several of them made it to the clearing about a quarter of their force was mowed down within seconds, thanks to the heavy bullets of the JSDF. They fell to the floor almost instantly as the modern technology still managed to shred several of them.
Thanks to that break in the enemies formation, due to The Men in Green and their guns, the Iron Legion had a better fighting chance. As they charged forward, the vanguard, being the Warden delivered the first attack, slicing several foot soldiers easily with his massive sword. Then came several other fighters, their tactics and fighting were similar to Centurions, nothing that he could not beat. Following him was the Conqueror who used his weight and shield to knock back several enemies grouped together. Then came the Lawbringer, who used his pole axe to impale his opponent and drive them backwards. Finally the Peacekeeper, who ducked to the side and drove one of her blades deep into the hip of one the invaders.
Now the Iron Legion came together for an epic charge as they fought their way into the enemy who outnumbered them three to one. The Iron Legion plus one crazy JSDF soldier.
Kuribayashi cried out in a fit of crazed laughter as she rushed in with her bayonet fixed in her weapon as she charged forward. Itami and everyone groaned as they all had a feeling this would happen. So like the loyal allies they were, they rushed after Itami, Tomita and the newly membered Ramirez rushed in behind her alongside the other team called the Iron Legion.
The Conqueror was being swarmed by multiple invaders armed with pikes, they stabbed his shield and began to push him back. Until, like an angel of death armed with a spear, Kuribayashi lept over him and jabbed her bayonet into the middle pike man's neck. The throat was slashed and so too was the gut of the man next to him when he too was slain by a jab thanks to Kuribayashi. Her back was exposed to the pike man behind her, but that was fixed when the Conqueror recovered and delivered a massive overhead attack from above, instantly crushing the pike man's skull with his flail.
Under his helmet he grinned at the much smaller, Woman in Green. Her ferociousness, her passion, it was all so powerful. He respected that a great deal.
Itami stood side by side with the Lord Warden and fought with his new ally, when the Warden focused on one enemy he would aim at another who was attacking behind him. The Warden cut down one of the enemies in front of him as he thanked his new friend, "I must say, that I am grateful for your help."
"No worries, we're just doing our jobs." Itami said as he shot another behind the Warden.
Once the numbers were almost equal all the soldiers stopped charging and just stood there with there weapons drawn waiting to strike but knew it might not end well. So they waited for their commander to approach. He wore a more cylinder looking helmet with red, black and orange paint designs on it. His voice was deep as he walked forward, the longsword on his hip meant one thing. He was a Warden, or at least trained by one.
"Warden, face me!" The younger Warden cried out, "You know there is no honor with this victory. Trial by combat, right now."
"I have no time to fight you boy..." The Warden claimed as he walked away.
The younger, more arrogant Warden raised his sword again, "Then this is a forfeit. And the battle is mine. Which would mean you are all my prisoners."
The Warden had his hand on the hilt of his sword and began to think about the next course of action. Should he fight the young punk and finish this quickly, or let them take this victory and therefore do whatever they want to his men, and new allies. No, he had something else in mind.
"Fight my second... then I will see if you are worthy." The Lord Warden declared as he introduced his second, his daughter had the same helmet and armor as her father, but her sword shined brighter in the light.
She approached the other young Warden, when she approached they both prepared for their duel to be honorable. One vs one combat, no interference, no time limit, match ends when one of them is dead.
The fight began and the enemy Warden came at her with the Warden's Wrath. Two heavy overhead strike made her back up as she almost lost her footing. Again attacking with the same heavy strikes from the sides, she suffered damage on the last hit to the right side. The other Warden went for another attack overhead with the Warden's Wrath, but wasn't expecting Crushing Counterstrike as he was knocked back.
With a clear opening, the Lady Warden attacked with Vanguards Advance quickly slicing him then delivering the overhead hit. Before the enemy could regain his footing she struck him with an her Shoulder Bash knocking him back as she followed with her attack, two overhead hits with the Warden's Wrath.
The invading Warden got back into his guard stance and fought even more sporadically and aggressive than before. Nothing but quick and fast light attacks all over, not letting up. Giving the Warden's daughter no room to breath. So instead she took a leap to the side and had time to charge her heavy attack and deliver the final blow to the shoulder of her opponent. She then took her sword by the blade's end planted the hilt within his skull. Finishing with an execution.
The remaining soldiers and fighters raised their swords in the air waiting for their punishment and their surrender. The original three from the JSDF met the original three from the Iron Legion as the two leaders shook hands.
"Many thanks for your assistance, we could not have done this without you and your... knights." The Warden thanked as they shook hands.
Itami shook his hand while rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment, "No worries, it's what we do. We're the Japan Self Defense Force."
"Please... you're all welcomed to rest in my land, if you would like that is." The Warden offered.
Itami looked back at his team, who all gave their nod of approval, "I think we would all appreciate it."
"IIIIIII...TAAAAA...MMMIIIIII!" The sound of one of the most dangerous things on the planet summoned the leader by name. Rory (The Reaper) Mercury launched out from the group and tackled Itami.
The Lord of the land knelt backed away, "I see... so that is how you were able to fight alongside us. I was unaware that Rory the Reaper was your ally. Having her blessing would be grant anyone strength in battle."
"Itami dear, was there recently a battle here? And you didn't think to use me in this matter?" Rory questioned in a calm yet threatening tone.
How could Itami forget, the souls of people slain in combat are flow through and leave her body restless. The restlessness could result in him being forced into an uncomfortable and unwilling scenario. Luckily, the Lieutenant was clever in the matter, "Wait, you just need to blow off some steam right? Then you can calm down, I have a plan."
Rory looked at him with a confused look for what could possibly keep her busy so she wouldn't have to use Itami like that. It became clear a little while later.
Rory Mercury was grinding her teeth as her small but powerful body ached, cursing Itami with every step she took. His idea was clever as she was blowing off a lot of steam while being extremely useful to the team. Itami had her haul the Chinook Helicopter on a strong wagon the Iron Legion provided.
"You're doing great Rory." Tuka tried to sound supportive.
Rory was in the back of the convoy other wagons and horses, so she shouted back, "Itami!!! I'll remember this..."
Sorry this took a little while, had to finish up some stuff. But I want to at least get to the Vikings before anything happens.
