Chapter 1: The Soulless Pacifist
A bright light was shining through the windows of the large judgment hall. Sans the skeleton stood on the far end of the hall wearing his own blue jacket and his brother's red scarf. While Frisk stood on the other end with tears in her eyes and a knife in her hands.

"I didn't know what, I got into. Somehow, I can't go back even if I really wanted to, so what more can I do?" Sang Frisk. "Here at the end, it's just me and you." Frisk looked up to see Sans was still unmoved. "I never wanted to play by all the rules, a knife in hand I'm playing out the part of the fool. So, here we go, you can judge me thoroughly. It's too late for apologies." With that, the lights in Sans's eyes disappeared, before his left eye began to burn blue with magic. "Go ahead and just hit me since you're able. We know my determination is unstable. I'm not even mad because I keep on dying, but I don't even know why I'm trying." Sang Frisk as she clutched her gilded knife harder. "This isn't what I want, yet it's what I asked for. Curiosity, over all my morals. I took away our perfect happy ending. Resetting the world despite the warnings." Sang Frisk as Sans raised his left arm and summoned two Gaster-blasters. "Right now, I'm made, of, LOVE, LOVE, of, LOVE." Sang Frisk "I know who you are, you remember who I am." Sang Frisk as she flashed back to the moment that she met Sans, in the forest outside the ruins exit. "You know that once in a timeline we had grown to be good friends, and yet I killed your brother, without giving him a chance." Sang Frisk as she flashed back to killing Papyrus on the outer border of Snowdin. "Every time you throw me down, I hope you kill me once again. So, go ahead and just hit me since your able. All the sin that I can feel it's unbearable. If I could only hit you once it would be over, but the consequences last forever." Sang Frisk as tears ran down her cheeks and Sans prepared to fire his Gaster-blasters. "The flowers are in bloom as the birds will tell, it's a beautiful day to be burning in hell." Sang Frisk in pure hatred of herself, causing Sans to call off his Gaster-blasters. "You gave me advise, I chose genocide, but I know how to make it right." Sang Frisk as she dropped her knife onto the ground and ran towards Sans. "I am made, of, LOVE, LOVE." Sang Frisk as hugged Sans tightly. "But I'll give up for you. LOVE, LOVE." As Frisk sang, Sans stomped his foot on the ground and caused a large bone to shoot out of the floor and through Frisk's heart. "But I'll give up for you." Sang Frisk as the world around her began to reset.
Frisk then found herself sitting in the bed of golden flowers underneath the undergrounds entrance. "But I'll give up for you." Repeated Frisk one last time.
Frisk woke up with a gasp, she was back in her bed at home, the house where her, Toriel, Sans, and Papyrus were all living together on the surface. It was just a dream. Thought Frisk. No, that's not right. I did do a genocide run, and I did battle with Sans, but in the end… I couldn't bring myself to stop the attack and Chara managed to kill Sans, then Asgore, and then her own best friend, Asriel.
"Don't try and pin all that on me" Whispered Chara in the back of Frisk's mind.
"Don't worry, I know I'm the one at fault. I wanted so badly to save you that I was willing to do the genocide run." Replied Frisk.
"Well, I'm glad you learned your lesson." Said Chara sarcastically.
It took me a long time to gain the opportunity to suppress Chara and use a true reset. Thought Frisk. The good news is that I was able to save all my friends, except Asriel, but the bad news is that now Chara exists in my mind. But that's fine, right? She can't hurt anyone if she's stuck in my head, right? Wondered Frisk
Three years had passed since the barrier was broken. Frisk was now 13 and had small breasts that were almost completely hidden by her favorite blue and purple sweater. As soon as the monsters left the underground, they made Frisk their ambassador. Progress was slow going with the humans, but they eventually let the monsters live in the town at the base of Mt. Ebott, where Toriel opened a school. Sans was given a job teaching science at the school, while Papyrus got a job making puzzles for the daily newspaper. The skeleton brothers had moved in with Toriel after Papyrus made the mistake of inviting Undyne to live with them in Snowdin town until her house got repaired from the fire she had started. It was fine at first, but Undyne's intense lifestyle quickly became too much for them to handle. Asgore spent most of his time organizing events to help lower tensions between monsters and humans, or setting up meetings where he, Frisk, Undyne, and Papyrus would speak with politicians about expanding monster rights and territory.
Frisk finally managed to drift back to sleep, however, unknown to her, Chara had other plans. After feeling a weak pulse from Frisk's soul, Chara felt a presence she thought was gone forever. Still around Azzy? Well, that certainly makes things easier for me. Thought Chara.
Meanwhile
"I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, HAVE BIG NEWS TO SHARE!" Cheered Papyrus as he hung up the land line.
"Is it that you missed the retriever?" Joked Sans with a wink and a rim shot.
Papyrus looked and noticed he had missed the telephone receiver when he had hung up. I can tell he was talking about me missing the receiver, but why did he say- Papyrus's train of thought was interrupted when a small white dog bit the back of his leg. "OW! GET OUT OF HERE!" Yelled Papyrus as the little white dog ran out the cracked door, which Papyrus then shut. "SANS, INSTEAD OF MAKING DOG PUNS WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST WARN ME?" Asked Papyrus.
"Sorry bro." Apologized Sans.
"DON'T WORRY, I ALREADY FORGIVE YOU." Responded Papyrus.
"Well Papyrus, what's the big news you wanted to give us?" Asked Toriel, who stood in the nearby kitchen making a pie.
"A HUMAN POLITICIAN WANTS TO MEET WITH ME, ASGORE, AND UNDYNE ABOUT EXPANDING MONSTER TERRITORY." Said Papyrus, while Toriel and Sans exchanged a glance.
"Why wasn't Frisk invited?" Asked Toriel as she took her pie out of the oven and sat it on the counter to cool.
"I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE THE HUMANS RESPECT US ENOUGH NOW THAT THEY DON'T NEED ANOTHER HUMAN AROUND TO TALK TO." Suggested Papyrus.
"I suppose it's possible… what is this politician's name?" Asked Toriel.
"DELL DAMON, WHY DO YOU ASK?" Responded Papyrus.
"Hmm, I know a thing or two about play on words, and it sounds to me like that politician is up to no good." Said Sans "When will the three of you be leaving?"
"TOMMOROW, AND WE SHOULD BE GONE FOR ABOUT A WEEK." Said Papyrus
"Sounds a little last minute… but on the bright side the skeleton crew that's been working on Undyne's house should be finished by the time you get back. So, we can move back to Snowdin town and stop mooching off Toriel." Said Sans.
"Don't talk like that Sans, you and Papyrus have been a big help around here." Said Toriel as she placed the pie on a table between the 3 of them and took a seat. "Actually, Sans there's something I've been meaning to talk to you about… Well, you see… I have heard that having a father figure is good for teenage girls… like, in deterring sexual promiscuity. Which brings me to my next point."
"The fact that Frisk will grow up sexually oriented towards goats and or skeletons?" Asked Sans.
"No, that's number three." Replied Toriel.
"THE FACT THAT FRISK HAS BEEN SEXUALLY PROMISCUOUS SINCE SHE WAS TEN AND FLIRTED WITH EVERY MONSTER IN THE UNDERGROUND INCLUDING HER OWN MOTHER?" Asked Papyrus.
"No! Sans… I would like for you to stay here and be Frisk's father figure." Said Toriel, causing Sans and Papyrus to choke on the pie they were eating.
"SANS… A FATHER? NYHEHEHE, I HAVE TROUBLE IMAGINING IT." Laughed Papyrus.
"I have to agree with Pap on this Tori, I don't know the first thing about being a father." Said Sans "And why would you want me of all people to be Frisk's father figure? There are a lot of better people for the job."
"Well, I didn't expect you to agree right away. Why don't you take some time to consider it? I'll take a slice of pie to Frisk." Said Toriel as she carried a slice of pie on a plate upstairs to Frisk's room. I didn't ask anyone else, because I love you, you bone head. Thought Toriel.
"You know Sans, you being Frisk's father figure doesn't sound bad, you'd just be living here and keeping Frisk out of danger. You do both those things already." Whispered Papyrus.
"You have a point… I'll keep thinking on it." Replied Sans.
Toriel entered Frisk's room quietly and gently placed the slice of pie she had been carrying on the desk by Frisk's bed. Toriel looked down at the sleeping child and smiled, then she began to walk out the door and froze. The air suddenly felt heavy, so heavy in fact that Toriel almost fainted, but as soon as it began it stopped. Toriel looked back at Frisk and saw her sleeping soundly, so she shut the door and walked back down the stairs trying to ignore the ominous feeling of dread looming over her. Meanwhile the supposedly sleeping Frisk rolled over and opened her eyes revealing that her normally amber irises were now blood red.
"Man, that lady in the ruins is going to love these new jokes I thought up." Said Sans to himself as he walked towards the door to the ruins. Before Sans could reach the door, however, it began to open. Sans quickly moved into the woods beside the door to hide, and a few seconds later a human girl in a purple and blue striped sweater emerged from the ruins and shut the door behind herself before continuing down the path to Snowdin town. "Frisk must be getting faster. It took her much longer to get past Toriel last time." Thought Sans, before he started following the human. While following the human, Sans intentionally snapped a twig in the path to try and get her attention, but he was surprised when she didn't react at all. "I guess she's getting used to this." Thought Sans as he continued to follow the human.
When the human came to a stop in front of the bridge, Sans walked up behind them and asked "Human; don't you know how to greet a new pal?" Then, before Sans could continue the human turned around and grabbed his hand. Sans immediately noticed something was wrong, there was dust on the human's hands, and they had a creepy smile on their face that didn't change at all when the whoopee cushion in Sans's hand went off. "He-he, the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick, it's always funny." Said Sans. "Uh, that's you cue to laugh… or emote at all." Said Sans as he waited for the human to react, but they never did. "Huh, you sure know how to pick 'em lady." Thought Sans nervously. "And how come you turned around before I told you too?" Asked Sans, but the human just turned around and walked across the bridge. Sans quickly used the opportunity to check the human's soul and saw that they had a lot of execution points and a high Level of Violence.
Papyrus showed up a few moments later and failed to notice the human while he told Sans to re-calibrate his traps, but Sans was too busy trying to figure out what had happened to Frisk to listen. When the human began walking towards the next area, Sans quickly used a shortcut to enter the ruins, where he was horrified to see Toriel's robe on the ground and covered in dust.
Sans continued to follow the human through Snowdin, watching their exp and LV increase gradually, and trying to talk them out of fighting Papyrus. After the human cleared Papyrus's last puzzle Sans finally pulled them over and said "Alright kid, I was trying to be nice, but if you keep going this way, buddy… You're going to have a bad time."
"We'll see about that, comedian." Replied the human, before Sans seemed to disappear right in front of them.
Sans woke up in a cold sweat, back in Toriel's house on the surface. I promised myself I would forgive Frisk for that; she hates hurting people. It was Chara that did all that damage. Thought Sans, Although, that is pretty convenient. Frisk being the embodiment of good and Chara being the embodiment of evil, could it all be part of some sick game? No, I can't keep thinking like that. If I'm so worried about Frisk getting in trouble, then I just need to be around to make sure Frisk doesn't get in trouble. But now that I think about it, of all the timelines for me to dream about, why did the genocide timeline come to mind? Wondered Sans, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get any more sleep that night.
