I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY that I haven't posted a chapter in months, but now that collage has calmed down I can continue. Well this is the start of the next scouts. After this batch would be the heroines and I'm tell you guys right now, there is not going to be a Jane from TARZAN. Why? Cause I couldn't find an original drawing of her other then pics from dress-up games. So unless there's one in the making from DR or M.a.W.b there's not going to be one. And before you guys write, 'why not make one yourself' my response is I tried my best with a dress-up game and I couldn't make it 'perfect' in my opinion. So if she pops up, she'll be the lost scout. And before I forget please thank Puffgirl1952 for the next 7 jewel designs.
After the buggies with the girls left, Pluto ran out barking to the royals. King Mickey turned to the dog. "What's wrong boy?"
Pluto mention them to follow him and when the group made to the throne room where the chest was. King Oswald opened the chest and saw 7 jewel glowing, twitching and wanted to get out. King Oswald said, "I think the jewels are calling for their masters."
Duke Donald said, "But normally it'll go to them when the scouts realize their powers."
Count Goofy asked, "Could it be possible that these jewels don't turn into lockets but lock onto items?"
Count Horace said, "Possible. The next scouts are more adventurous then the 7 we have already."
Queen Minnie said, "We have to release the jewels now. They will know which world they belong."
Queen Ortensia said, "Each of us will grab a glass shield and we all release them at once."
All the royals put their hands on the glass shield and at the same time, they opened it and the jewels floated up and zoomed right out of the room and once out of the castle they split up to their worlds. The royals followed the jewels outside and nearly missed them going their separate way. Duchess Daisy asked, "How do we know they will go to the right world?"
Countess Clarabelle said, "We don't. All we have to do is hope. And once these jewels find their items, they will take shape."
Then they felt a cold shiver behind them and saw snow, and they turned to see a person. King Mickey, "Thank you for coming. We need your help. Please watch over the girls. Especially Marie. It's part of her test."
Before the rest of the royals talked to him, the person disappeared. Queen Minnie asked, "Do you think it's a good idea Mickey? Marie might get very upset at you."
Mickey held her hand. "I'm willing to go through it if it makes her a better scout."
Intro:
Meanwhile the girls were either screaming or cheering over the wild ride of the biggies while Hatbox was having the time of his life driving it. Finally after sharp turns and what not, Marie asked or technically yelled, "ARE WE THERE YET?!"
Hatbox answered, "WHY YOU BORED ALREADY?! WANT TO WATCH A MOVIE?! I THOUGH YOU GET CAR SICK WHEN YOU WATCH SOMETHING DURING A FAST RIDE!" Marie banged the roof where he was sitting as he was laughing like Mark Hamill's Joker.
Soon enough they made it to the new world. Hatbox dropped them off at the woods. Ariel asked, "Where exactly are we?"
Hatbox said, "In this world, you're in Virginia in 1606. One year before you're the mission here starts."
The girls got out of the buggies and their clothes transformed into Native American clothes. Each top different from the last. Cinderella asked, "In this world, is the next scout the same as the person in real life?"
Marie said, "Yes and no. It's mostly loosely based but has the same characteristics with a few changes. So history wise, it's going to be different but I can still give you the proper info."
Hatbox said, "Also give these people time to get used to you girls. Their culture is way different then you are used to. Though Marie might get the hang of it."
Aurora asked, "Why's that?"
Hatbox said, "She has Native American blood in her. So don't be jealous if she gets along with them the best." Then he went away.
Ariel turned to her. "You have Native blood?"
Marie answered, "Well from what my mom told me, I'm Mexican, Italian, and Portuguese. But my Mexican ancestors were in America 100 years before the Revolutionary War. So there's a possibility that somewhere in those roots, I have Native blood. My uncle thought so since he asked for a Native American dance at his funeral."
Belle said, "This might be part of your test."
Marie shrugged. "Cheaper then going on ."
The girls made their way deeper in the forest but felt that there were eyes on them. As they head deeper into the forest they stopped. Snow White said, "I'm getting scared now. I have a feeling we're being watched."
Aurora said, "Same here. What are the natives that live here are called?"
Marie said, "They're known as Tsenacommacah and there's actually 30 tribes that are known in Virginia."
Cinderella asked, "How will we know which tribe is the right one?"
Soon enough Indians and arrows surrounded them. Jasmine said, "I think we're going to find out right now."
Soon enough their hands were tide behind their backs and were taken to the village. The girls didn't struggled or else it would make it worst. If they happened they would loose their heads and maybe part of their hair. Then they made it to the village and were taken to the chief of the tribe, Powhatan.
They kneeled before him and one of the Indians said, "There was a strange light and when we arrive we saw these girls wondering into the woods."
Powhatan looked at the girls. "Who are you and where are you from?"
Marie was the first. "I'm Marie and these are my friends: Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Aurora, and Cinderella. As for where we're from, I don't think we have permission to tell. The royals never tells us differently."
Powhatan asked, "Royals?"
Ariel said, "Yes sir. It's kinda complicated but-"
Powhatan interrupted. "You're the warriors the spirits told us about."
Belle asked, "You heard of us?"
He answered, "Our shaman of the tribe told us that special warriors will come to our land to stop a great evil."
Snow White said, "All Evil actually. Then you must know that there is a scout here then."
Powhatan said, "I'm afraid your efforts are fruitless. There hasn't been any danger here or any signs of a scout here."
Jasmine said, "But we can't go back until one comes. Wish Hatbox was here to explain this better then us."
Powhatan said, "Then until the time comes you are welcome to stay in the village…but keep in mind, you will be watch at all times."
The girls were soon released and women of the tribe took them to their huts so they can change clothes. Luckily their lockets recognized the designs and made it permanent to it clothes changing magic. Each one was different then the other. After they changed clothes they made it back to the village where soon Pocahontas went to them. "Are you the girls father told me about?"
Aurora said, "Depending if it's good or bad."
Pocahontas giggled. "Don't worry. He's just protecting his people that all. In a few day he and a few of our men have to leave for a battle."
Cinderella asked, "You mean you're already at war?"
Pocahontas said, "It's just with another tribe that has been cause trouble for a while. Best if I don't go into detail at the moment if that's alright."
Snow White said, "We don't. We had a good experience of fighting."
Pocahontas said, "Good. Come with me, I want to show you something."
Pocahontas then guided them into the forest to her favorite tree, Grandmother willow. After some twist and turns they made it. Before they got close to the tree, 2 animals came down to Pocahontas. "Oh before I forget these are my friends. Meeko and Flit."
Snow White kneeled down as well as Aurora as Meeko went to the 2 girls and sniffed them. They started to pet him and he was loving it. Flit went to the remaining girls and was actually ranting at them. Then Marie closed Flit's beak with her fingers. "Defiantly tell he's he overprotective type." Said Jasmine.
Pocahontas smiled. "He's just not fond of strangers." She said.
They made it to the stump and all heard a voice. "Is that my Pocahontas?" Once all were on it standing there a face was forming on the bark. It shaped like an old woman's face, which reminded Marie of her late great-grandmother Louise who died from Alzheimer's when Marie was finish with high school. "Good morning child and I see you brought over some new friends, the sailor scouts right?"
Some of the girls rubbed their eyes cause they have never seen this before. Marie didn't. "Yes they are. They arrived here earlier today." Said Pocahontas.
Grandmother Willow then started to move her vines and moved the girls closer to them. "Come closer to I can take a good look at you." Once they were close enough and Grandmother Willow looked into their souls, she said, "They have good hearts. It's a good thing they came."
Ariel asked, "How is it you take shape or take control of a tree?"
She answered, "I'm basically a spirit that lives here as long as the tree has, but to put it loosely, I've been here for 2 generations in Pocahontas' family."
Pocahontas said, "It's true, she knew my mother since she was a little girl."
Belle asked, "So there's spirits here?"
Grandmother Willow said, "They're all here, all around us, taking different forms, and control different elements of the earth and some spirits have names as well. Those that have a great amount of spiritual energy would be lucky enough to see one. Some of you might not believe me, but I never lie."
Snow White asked, "Is it true Marie?"
Marie said, "Well in all Native American culture they believe that there are spirits that take form as animals. I personally think of them as God's nature angels."
Jasmine said to Grandmother Willow, "Since you know that we're here, then you know why we're here."
She answered, "I do, but it is not time to talk about it yet."
Pocahontas asked excitedly, "When then?"
Grandmother Willow smiled, "You will know soon child. For now it's too early to tell you."
Aurora said, "It's probably for the best anyway. As far as we know, we don't know if we're here early or not. When they arrived in my world, I was just a baby."
Cinderella said, "For me, it right on the dot. No waiting time."
Pocahontas said, "Well at least it'll give the village time to get use to you girls and earn their trust. Maybe if you talk to Kekata, our shaman to learn more."
Grandmother Willow said, "I like that idea and who knows you might find your spiritual animal or answers for life long questions."
The girls agreed to go back to the village to talk to the shaman. The 2 animals of course were following them. They arrived back to the village and looked for him. They finally did. He was with kids telling stories. They didn't want to interrupt him so they listen in. Once he was done, he saw the girls. He asked, "Do you girls have a story to tell?" The girls looked at each other then one by one each told their story. Ariel told the kids an adventure under the sea, changing mermaid to fish of course, Belle told a story about her and the beast, had to change the objects to spirit, Snow White told her story and so one and so forth with the others. Then it was Marie's turn. The shaman asked, "Do you have a story?"
Marie sat down next in the circle and said, "Well maybe not as exciting as my friends, but I do remember during the summer I would go to a beautiful place call 'The Mystery Lodge'. It was a place where we can tell stories to each other, shield us from the storms, and I see magic all the time. One night, I snuck away from home to enjoy the nightlife when a storm came out of nowhere. Well I was too far-gone from my home, I didn't know where to go, and if I went to my front part of my house, I would've been wacked. Back then it was all right. But then I saw the Mystery Lodge. I figured that since it's raining I had to find a place to stay dry so I went inside. But this time, I wasn't alone and to this day I will never forget." Then started to tell the story. In real life it was an attraction at Knott's Berry Farm, a small theme park, but since the park won't appear for a good few two-hundred years, she had to change a few things, but not too much.
*story* Marie, as a little girl nearly all wet from rain, went inside the Mystery Lodge. It was a big room with small circle of logs in the middle of the room. Then she heard thunder and Marie was growing scared. After that she heard a crow and flapping that was inside the room. Then a big thunder crash cam and she saw someone in front of a picture of a big owl. The person turned around and saw an old man. "Oh it's you. I'm glad you are here." He said. He then mentions Marie to sit down near the fire. As Marie sat down he put a blanket on her so she can stay warm. "I need someone with me tonight." He continued. Then he started to walk around. "A few minutes ago, something happened."
Marie asked, "What happened?"
He answered as the room was dark. "As I was walking outside, I heard something come behind me and I turned. There was a great large owl." He turned to the picture behind him and waved his hand that makes only that picture light up.
Marie saw the owl and grew scared as she never really saw the owl picture that close before. "What was he doing?" she asked.
"He looked right at me, like he saw through me." He said. "and then he was gone." He waved his hand again and the light on the picture went away. "But as he went I think he whispered my name."
Then Marie heard drums coming from somewhere in the room. She looked around and saw no one but her and the old man. "Some people say, that when the owl calls your name, it means that your time to die has come."
Then he started to go limp but Marie knew he was faking and was giggling. Then the old man stood up happy knowing he made Marie laugh. "But I feel fine. A little tired maybe but nothing unusual." Then he started to walk around the fire again. "Even so, that owl frighten me and I began to think. My thoughts carry me back to another day, long ago. When the earth was young, and the old ways was strong, and the magic was real."
Then he through something in the logs that made the fire come to life again and smoke started to come and drums started to appear again. "I remember being near the fire, like this one. I was sitting in the lap of my grandmother." Then Marie heard a lady's voice but it was old and in a different language. "She told me stories. Her stories taught me to see the magic and love in all life."
Then the old man started to move the smoke to make shapes of different animals or spirits. "She told me about the killer whale, who live and play along our coast. Mothers and fathers and their children always together." The smoke moved to show 3 whales swimming upward where the smoke was only the water and the spots.
Then he moved the smoke to make it looked like a river going up and saw little fire dots representing fish. "And on the generosity the salmon return each year giving themselves to life, giving themselves to feed our people, and giving themselves to make more salmon to take their place."
The he made the smoke look like a tree with a nest with birds inside them. "And the way the birds work so hard to feed their children and teach them to fly."
Then he changed the smoke again. "Grandmother stories taught me that all the animals and all the things on this earth can teach us, to guide us, if we take the time to listen. Grandmother told stories of my people and of heroes and spirits and magic and wonder. Stories of the King of the sea, who bring wealth to our people. And of Raven the mischief maker who always plays tricks on you. And Thunderbird bringer of lightning." As the smoke changed to the 3 didn't animals or spirits, Marie was in wonder, but grew scared with Thunderbird since she's not fond of lightning.
The old man went to her and rubbed her back so she wouldn't get scared anymore. Then he helped her stand up so she can see more. "I remember my favorite time was the winter because it brought us together in those long nights and long cold rains. That's when the spirits moved closer around our village." Then Marie heard singing. She looked at the fire and as the man was talking she saw people with masks on dancing and chanting. "That was the right time for great dances and great celebrations that reminded everyone who we were, how we are related to each other, and how we must take care of each other, especially the children. I had no idea how precious those times were until they were gone."
Then the smoke went away and went back into the fire pit. "It's hard to believe now but there was a time when I was young and handsome. The girls liked me." That made Marie laugh. "It's true, they did." Then the smoke went up again taking form of a woman. "But there was one girl in particular. She was so beautiful. Her laughter was like music." Then Marie heard a young woman laughing. That made her smile. Then the smoke made another figure but this time it was a man. "We were married and she gave me the most beautiful child." The smoke showed a baby. "and then another." Another appeared. "And another." Same as before. "And another." Now it was a family of six. As the babies appear, they were giggling, crawling, and laughing.
"Those children were our greatest joy." Then the smoke change showing the father teaching his kids how to fish. "I taught them many things. How to fish, how to dance and how to live. My how I wish could be with my little children right now." Then the smoke went away. "Back in that wonderful time. But like Raven, time is a trickster. First you have it and then it's gone."
Marie went up to the old man as he looked up where his last baby flew off. He looked down at her and put his arm on her shoulder. "Suddenly my little ones were all grown up. They have children of their own, and I am their grandfather. My wife is still beautiful though. Even more beautiful with silver hair." Then he grew sad. "But I'm old." Then the smoke went up taking shape of the owl. It made Marie scared so she hid behind the old man. "And the owl, I see the owl more often now. But he does not speak. Perhaps he brings a silent warning that my time has almost come. Or is he trying to tell me something else? Yes, perhaps the owl has a message for us. If it's really the owl." Then he waved his hand the owl went away leaving only the raven flying around.
Marie let out a breath as the old man laugh. "Raven! I should've known. It is not the owl; it was only you Raven just trying to scare my and my little friend. Raven the trickster, Raven, full of mischief. Even joking about life itself. You are not my owl. My time has not yet come. It was all just an illusion, thin as smoke." Then it went away. "But that raven is a very clever fellow. His trick reminded me of something my grandmother always knew what true. For all people, for all times."
Then Marie heard the old lady's voice again as the old man walked around the fire. "Each of us has something good and beautiful to give to the generations that follow and the part of that you give never dies. But lives forever. What better way to spend your time but when talking, laughing, telling stories, sharing, what's good and true." Then the smoke was taking forms of different spirits and of birds. "Sharing life, with those you love. To our children, and to our grandchildren, life is still full of magic. When you share the magic with them, you'll remember too and once again you too can fly."
Then the birds went to him making him into a bird and Marie saw that they were in the night sky flying on top of clouds with the might light that shines brightly. As the 2 birds fly, Marie was laughing and ran around the room thinking she too was flying above the clouds. But the fun had to come to end. The smoke was gone, one of the birds was gone, and they were back into the room. Marie didn't see the old man, until she heard his chuckle. She turned her head and saw him sitting against the wall. He stood up and asked, "So what was that all about? A little smoke, a little magic, a little story about how Raven pretended to by an owl?" He stood in front of her. "Perhaps. Or perhaps this was all just a dream." And then he slowly started to disappear from the feet to the top making Marie scared. "Who knows. Life is full of mystery. But this I know, if we would share the wisdom of the elders, with the heart of a child, life will always be full of joy and love and wonder, and magic." Then he took form of a raven mask head and as he laugh, he went flying into the heavens and after the thunder clapped one more time, his walking stick he was with him, the only object left of him, fell to the ground. *story*
"When morning came, I left the Mystery Lodge and told me parents everything. At first they were mad at me, but then I went and tracked down his family and told them what happened that night. I gave his oldest the walking stick and we left. Soon after my and my family left and went home. But we still go there every summer." Said Marie. She looked at her audience and saw all of them were in awe. Marie then blushed in embarrassment.
The shaman said, "That was a wonderful story. Tell me, is there a tribe that runs through your veins?"
Marie answered honestly, "Well I honestly don't know. My mom did tell me that there's a possibility but it might not be a well-known tribe. I just know the main 3. One from my mother's and 2 from my father's."
Soon the kids left and the shaman asked, "So what bring you girls to me?"
Pocahontas said, "These girls need spiritual guidance. They have question that I think you might help them get their answer."
Kekata said, "I would be happy to help. Please come with me to my hut." All stood up and followed him to his hut. When they arrived he turned to them and said, "I wish to talk to you girls one at a time. Who would like to go first?"
Cinderella asked, "If I may?" The girls didn't mind and she went inside with the shaman.
Inside there was a small fire and both sat around the fire. He asked, "What trouble your mind?"
Cinderella said, "Well after of what has happened to my mother and one of my step-sisters, I've been having trouble to forgive them. I know they were cruel at heart but I don't know if I can forgive them."
The shaman asked, "Was one of them a minion to the All Evil?"
Cinderella said, "My step-mother was. She transformed into a spider. I don't know where my step-sister ran off to."
The shaman then got out some powder and started to sprinkle it into the fire. "Then let the spirits tell you of her story on why she became what she is." Soon smoke come from the fire and nearly covered the hut. Then in the smoke light appears and it started to tell the story. "Your step-mother did not had a happy childhood like you nor your friends. Her mother had the sickness of greed while her father was cursed with wrath." The smoke showed that Cinderella's step-mother's mom was stealing coins while the father were in fights. "Instead of freeing herself she followed that darkness and nearly passed it down to her children. The only one that isn't cursed is one of your step-sisters. If she would've followed your entire family would've been cursed by the All Evil." Then the smoke went away.
Cinderella let out a breath. "I didn't know. Was there anyway to save them?"
The shaman shook his head. "Once the seed of darkness is planted, there's no going back. Thank the spirits one of your sisters are safe."
Cinderella nodded. She got up and walked out. Then Aurora came in. The shaman asked, "What is it that I can do for you?"
Aurora asked, "Was Maleficent always bad? I think there's more to her story."
The shaman made smoke appear again and told a story. "Though your story of the Sleepy Beauty has ended, there is another where more of the truth is revealed." He then started to tell the a story about another Maleficent who, as a teenager, is a powerful and respected winged fairy helping to rule a magical land full of strange creatures. Her homeland borders a country that is populated by humans and run by the cruel King Henry. One day, Henry's son Stefan traipses into the fairy's land and meets Maleficent, causing the two crazy teens to fall into forbidden love. Year later, Henry seeks to take over the magical land next to his kingdom, but is thwarted in battle by Maleficent. He demands revenge, and eventually his now-grown son Stefan succeeds by betraying the fairy and clipping her wings. In response, an infuriated Maleficent swears revenge on Stefan; she gets her chance when the prince becomes king and has his first child, a daughter named Aurora. Maleficent curses her to fall into a death-like sleep after pricking her finger on a spinning wheel on her 16th birthday. Stefan demands that all of the spinning wheels be collected, and orders his daughter to be secretly raised in the woods by three good-hearted but dim-witted fairies, who will return her to him the day after her 16th birthday. However, Maleficent refuses to stay away from Aurora and ends up developing maternal feelings for the girl, eventually inspiring her to try to undo the curse she placed upon the princess. "It wasn't until she learned to forgive herself that this Maleficent gained back her wings thanks to Aurora and ended the cruel king. In that world, that Aurora is now queen of 2 kingdoms while her Godmother is finally free."
Aurora was in shocked during the whole story. Admittedly she grew jealous. Then he said, "But do not fret child, for she wasn't free until you killed her curse. You're Maleficent knew of this world and poisoned King Stephan's mind. Once she was dead, the other was free. So in a way you saved 2 worlds instead of 1."
That made Aurora smiled. "At least in that world, there's proper peace they should've been there the whole time. Thank you." Then she stood up and walked outside.
Then Jasmine went side the hut. She sat down and asked, "I heard from Pocahontas about spirit animal guide. If it's alright I want to know of my own."
The shaman smiled and nodded. "It's no trouble at all." He threw more powder into the fire. Then smoke appeared and he started to speak. As he did the smoke turned into an animal. "The animal that would guide you is the lion. Because you are royalty, you are a strong-willed leader or the pack person. You're not afraid to be in charge and guide people around you. You are loyal to your friends and know the right thing to do when it comes to your trails. Don't stray from this path, for you will be granted a wonderful reward."
Jasmine smiled at she saw her animal guide. "Well now I know why I love my tiger." The smoke lion flew around her and then went back into the fire. Then she got up and went outside.
Then Belle went inside. The shaman asked, "What is it that I can do for you?"
Belle said, "I wish to how Adam came to be. What made him so cruel that a enchantress turned him into a beast?"
The shaman made the smoke appear again and told a story. "Adam lost his mother 2 season before he became a beast. His father cared for his people, but after he passed away, Adam grew angry. He became spoiled, cruel, and unkind to everyone. When the enchantress came and cursed him, the people had forgotten that they even had a king or a princess. The castle was forgotten until you arrived and opened everyone's eye and brought back order."
Belle saw the story unfold. "He never told me about his parents. But now I know why." She said. She bowed to him. "Thank you so much." She got up and walked out.
Ariel soon went inside. Once she sat down she asked, "When I was a mermaid, there was a man in a mettle fish. Thankfully my father saved him before he drowned. I wish to know, who is he?"
The shaman summoned smoke and said as it moved, "He is known Hans Christian Andersen in your world. A troubled man but a great storyteller. He will write your story but your story will be a sad one. But as time go on, someone special will make your story happy and wonderful for many young children to come and more happy endings of your story will continue to live on until the end of time."
Ariel saw during his speech the young man from before but he was surrounded by mermaids. Then the man was gone and the mermaids swam to children who would play with them. She smiled and said, "Thank you. Wish I could've meet him but then again I wouldn't be happy about the choice ending he picked."
The shaman asked, "Could you please Marie in next? Her reading is more important that involves her mission and herself."
Ariel nodded. "Of course." She walked outside and said, "Marie, he wishes to speak to you badly."
Marie looked at her confused and then went inside. Once she sat down she asked, "You wish to speak to me?"
The shaman asked, "Yes I do." Then he made smoke appeared. "Someone from your past is trying to reach you." In the smoke Marie saw a man. "It is unclear of his intentions. He will help you against your enemy but not moving on. He is chained in darkness and you are the key to let him go. Once he is free so are you."
Marie saw the man in the smoke trapped in chains: on his wrist, his ankles and one around his neck. Then the room got cold. "He will never relieve his name but you must be cautious when you're around him. His heart can be easily corrupted and cold as ice."
Marie saw that who ever this person and use snow. 'It's not Elsa, but who is he?' she thought. "Will I recognize this person?" she asked.
The shaman said, "I do not know. The spirits are not showing me his true face. I am sorry."
Marie smiled. "It's alright and thank you."
The shaman smiled and the 2 walked out. The shaman went back to the kids and Marie went to the girls. Pocahontas asked, "So what did he say?"
Marie said, "Well he said, that we might have a helper coming soon, but he said not to trust him. That his heart is easily corrupted and only I can free him."
Belle said, "Sounds like a massive riddle."
Marie said, "I honestly don't know what to make of it. From what the smoke showed me, it's a young man that has snow and ice powers. But I only know 1 character that does snow, that is from Disney."
Snow White said, "Well maybe this is part of your test."
Pocahontas asked, "What does she mean?"
Jasmine said, "One of our teachers couldn't give Marie her test because it has something to do with her past."
Aurora said, "Maybe this 'ice man' is your test. What are you going to do when you see him?"
Marie shook her head. "I have no idea. He even said if I do set him free don't trust him and his heart is easily corrupted."
Cinderella said, "I think this one you might have to go at it alone. You even told us you never make decisions before and your mother makes them for you."
Marie said, "Possibly. Wish I have powers to see into the future."
Then suddenly they heard drums. Pocahontas then had a scared look. "The drums. I thought there was more time. Come on."
The girls made their way to the river bank where the men and Powhatan was getting ready to leave for war. The girls saw how some of the women were crying and hugging their loved ones. Some of the kids were crying as well. Marie said, "This started, after they return. We're here early."
Pocahontas went to her father and hugged him. "I wish you didn't have to go father." She said.
He hugged her back. "I have too. Sometimes we have to make the greatest sacrifices for the sake of our people. I hope that you wouldn't have to make the same when you get older."
Then all the men went to their boats and off they went. Some of the women and children ran to the waters crying to them as they left. The girls gathered around Pocahontas. Ariel said, "It'll be okay. They will come back. My father did the same a couple of times."
Snow White said, "Same with mine when he was alive."
Belle said, "All we have to do is to have hope."
Jasmine said, "Trust me. They will be home before you know it."
Cinderella and Aurora put their hand on her shoulders. Pocahontas turned to Marie. "How long does a war last in your world."
Marie said, "Depending on which you're asking. Some lasted as old as me. The longest I know that doesn't really involve with my country is 335 years and another that lasted 116 years. Both nearly ended really harshly. But I think in your case, if it's tribe against tribe, I might be a couple of days though I don't know for certain."
Pocahontas smiled at her. "Thank you."
And just as Marie said, It took about 3 weeks for Powhatan and the rest of his men to finally come home. "Hega hega ya-hi-ye hega. Ya-hi-ye ne-he hega. Hega hega ya-hi-ye hega. Ya-hi-ye ne-he hega."
The watchers saw the boats and made it back to the village. One blew his horn where the women are picking corn. The scouts were there too helping as much as they can. As they heard the horn, they grew excited and rushed to the river bank. "Steady as the beating drum singing to the cedar flute, seasons go and seasons come bring the corn and bear the fruit."
Then some of the men that stayed, cause they were too young to go, heard the horns including some of the kids. "By the waters sweet and clean where the mighty sturgeon lives, plant the squash and reap the bean all the earth our Mother gives."
Then the boats reached the shore as everyone gathered around. "O Great Spirit, hear our song help us keep the ancient ways. Keep the sacred fire strong walk in balance all our days. Seasons go and seasons come, steady as the beating drum plum to seed to bud to plum. Hega hega ya-hi-ye hega. Steady as the beating drum. Hega hega ya-hi-ye hega. Ya-hi-ye ne-he hega. Hega hega ya-hi-ye hega. Ya-hi-ye ne-he hega."
As Powhatan got off the boat, he saw some of the women rushing to their loved ones. One ran so fast that when she hugged her husband both landed in the water. He went to Kekata. "Ka-ma wingapo Powhatan."
Powhatan said, "Ay-man-ay-cho, Kekata. It's good to be home." Then he turned to his people. "Chesk-cham-ay! The Massawomecks are defeated! With the help of our brothers, our villages are safe again!"
As everyone cheered Nakome, a friend of Pocahontas, went to the scouts. "Come on! Let's get Pocahontas." They went to the boats went made their way to Pocahontas' favorite place."
Kekata said to the chief, "Your return has brought much joy to the village. Look at all the smiling faces." He pointed out to the families that were reunited.
Powhatan said, "Yes, but there is some smiling faces I don't see. Where is my daughter and the girls?"
The shaman replied, "You know Pocahontas. She has her mother's spirit. She goes wherever the wind takes her and as for the girls, they have learned so much in the few weeks here in the village. They have found their spiritual guides and follow where ever their hearts desire."
Meanwhile Pocahontas was on top of a cliff feeling the wind around her with different colored leaves circling her like it was hugging her. As the wind dies down she heard some voices. "Pocahontas!" She looked down and saw her friends. "Your father's back! Come down here!"
Pocahontas smiled and turned to her humming bird friend said, "He's back Flit!" As she ran she passed her raccoon. "Come on Meeko." Then she changed her mind. She ran to the cliff and jumped down making a dive.
"No not that…way." Said Nakoma.
Finally Pocahontas dived down into the water with ease. The girls shook their heads. "Show off." They said.
Back on the cliff Meeko did the same and Flit flew down to rant on him. When Meeko saw how fast he was falling, he grabbed onto Flit but both went into the water.
The girls then looked around the waters for Pocahontas. "Pocahontas? Pocahontas? Are you all right?" Nakoma had enough of this nonsense. "Are you all right? Well, you better be all right because I'm not coming in after you…!" Then Pocahontas turned over all the boats making the girls fall into the water.
Then they resurface for hair. Nakoma said, "Don't you think we're getting a little old for these games?" Then all of them were having a water fight while laughing and swimming.
Meanwhile Meeko manage to get out of the water and climbed on one of the turned over boats. Them Flit got out of the water and was pissed. He saw how Meeko's tail looked like a dartboard and flew as fast as he can to hit the raccoon. Unfortunately for him, Meeko fell off and Fit got his beak stuck.
The girls manage to get the boat upright and got on. Then they went to the last boat where Nakoma and Pocahontas were. "Help me turn this over." Said Pocahontas. They did and Flit went upside down underwater.
Marie asked, "What were you doing up there besides improving your swan dive?"
Pocahontas said, "Thinking." Then Meeko got on the boat and shook the water off of him. "Meeko!"
Ariel said, "About the dream again?"
Belle asked, "Have you figured it out yet?"
She replied, "It know it means something, I just don't know what."
Nakoma said, "You should ask your father about it."
Jasmine said, "He might have more answers then us since, we're not good with depicting dreams."
Aurora said, "Though in some way somehow I was right in mine."
Cinderella giggled. "Same here though yours is different from what we can tell you."
Pocahontas smiled. "Maybe I should." Then she noticed the bubbles where Flit was at and got him out of there before he drowned. "Come on, Flit. Quit playing around, we have to get back." Meeko saw how full of water Flit was and pushed his stomach making him look like a fountain.
The girls soon made it back to the village where Powhatan was making a speech one of his fighters. "…faced a determined enemy. The battle lasted from the rising of the sun until the evening shadows fell. Our warriors fought with courage, but none as bravely as Kocoum. He attacked with the fierce strength of the bear. He has proven himself to be the greatest…" The shaman put his hand in paint and make paw prints of a bear on Kocoum's chest.
Nakoma said as the girls looked on, "Oh he's so handsome."
Pocahontas said sarcastically, "I especially love his smile."
Marie said, "At least he'll never get wrinkles." She and the girls giggled a bit.
Then Powhatan continued. "…destroying every enemy in his path. Tonight we will feast in his honor."
The villages cheered and the girls went to the chief. Powhatan saw his daughter. "My daughter."
Pocahontas hugged him. "Wingapo father."
Then the girls went to him. Powhatan said, "Seeing you gives me great joy."
Pocahontas said, "I'm glad you've come home safely. The girls were right all along."
Cinderella said, "All we give was give a little hope."
Powhatan said, "And it seems to be more then enough and from what Kekata has told me, I'm more then proud that you girls are more rounded with mother earth. Now come with, we have much to talk about. I want to hear everything you've been doing."
The group went to the hut and the animals fallow suit. Pocahontas said, "Father, for many nights now I've been having a very strange dream. I think it's telling me something's about to happen, something exciting."
Powhatan took off his head piece and out it way. Somehow Meeko got it on. "Yes, something exciting is about to happen."
Pocahontas grew excited. "Really, what is it?"
Powhatan said, "Kocoum has asked to seek your hand in marriage."
Pocahontas was speechless so the girls answer for her. "Marry Kocoum?"
Powhatan went to his daughter. "I told him it would make my heart soar."
Then they looked outside the hut and saw Kocoum just standing there like a statue while the girls were all around him like fan-girls. "But he's so…serious." Said Pocahontas.
Powhatan tried to point out his reasons why. "My daughter, Kocoum will make a fine husband. He is loyal and strong and will build you a good house with sturdy walls. With him you will be safe from harm."
But Pocahontas wasn't having it. "Father, I think my dream is pointing me down another path. The girls think so too."
But Powhatan said, "This is the right path for you."
Pocahontas tried to argue again. "But why can't I choose-" But then Meeko fell off the shelf and she caught him.
Jasmine asked, "Why give her the choice? I haven't nearly all my life it wasn't until I found mine on my own that I gain trust with me own father."
Powhatan sigh. "Girls come with me. You girls are the daughter of the chief in your own way. But Pocahontas it is time to take your place among our people. Even the wild mountain stream must someday join the big river." They all went to the river as he sang. "As the river cuts his path, though the river's proud and strong. He will choose the smoothest course that's why rivers live so long. They're steady as the steady beating drum." They all saw that the river was smooth, no ripples and was sparkling. Then Powhatan pulled out a gift for Pocahontas. It was a necklace. "Your mother wore this for our wedding. It was her dream to see you wear it at your own. It suits you." He puts it on her.
After a while, the girls were sitting on the rivers edge thinking. Then Meeko and Flit went up to them. "He wants me to be steady… Like the river."
They looked down at their reflection and then otters came up scaring the 2. Ariel said, "But like the ocean it's never steady."
Then the girls got in one big boat and as Pocahontas sings, they enjoyed the boat ride. "What I love most about rivers is you can't step in the same river twice. The water's always changing, always flowing. But people, I guess, can't live like that
We all must pay a price to be safe we lose our chance of ever knowing. What's around the river-bend? Waiting just around the river-bend. I look once more
just about the river-bend. Beyond the shore where the gulls fly free. Don't know what for. What I dream the day might send? Just around the river-bend for me. Coming for me."
Then they made it close to a waterfall and enjoyed the rapids ride. "I feel it there beyond those trees or right behind these waterfalls. Can I ignore that sound of distant drumming? For a handsome, sturdy husband who builds handsome, sturdy walls And never dreams that something might be coming. Just around the river-bend. Just around the river-bend. I look once more just around the river-bend. Beyond the shore somewhere past the sea don't know what for. Why do all my dreams extend? Just around the river-bend just around the river-bend."
But as they turned the corner after the ride, there was a fork. Once side was smooth while the other was wild. "Should I marry Kocoum? Is all my dreaming at an end?
Or do you still wait for me, Dream Giver just around the river-bend?" They continue their way going left.
After a while, they made it to Grandmother Willow's glen. After they parked the boat they made it to the tree stump. "Is that my girls?" said a voice.
Once they made it to the stump they sat down and Pocahontas said, "Grandmother Willow, we need to talk to you."
Then the face appear on the tree bark. "Good morning children. I was hoping you'd visit today. Why, Pocahontas, you're mother's necklace!"
Marie said, "That's what we wanted to talk to you about."
Pocahontas said, "My father wants me to marry Kocoum."
Grandmother Willow didn't like that idea either. "Kocoum? But he's so serious."
Ariel asked, "What do you think we told him?"
Pocahontas said, "I know. My father thinks it's the right path for me. But lately I've been having this dream and I think it's-"
That got Grandmother Willow' attention. "Oh, a dream! Let's hear all about it!" Then the animals started to make noise. "Quiet!" But that didn't work and it got louder. "QUIET!" Finally the animals stopped, well except for a frog. "Now, child, you were saying."
Pocahontas told her the dream." Well, I'm running through the woods and then right there in front of me is an arrow. As I look at it, it starts to spin."
Grandmother Willow got a bit confused. "A spinning arrow? How unusual."
The scouts looked at one another. They know what it is but decided not to say anything. Best if she finds out on her own. Pocahontas continued. "Yes! It spins faster and faster and faster until suddenly it stops." The animals moved their heads in a circle until they stopped and got dizzy.
Grandmother Willow smiled. Belle asked, "What does it mean?"
Snow White said, "We're stumped."
Grandmother Willow replied, "Hmm. Well, seems to me this spinning arrow is pointing you down your path."
Jasmine asked, "But Grandmother Willow, what is her path?"
Aurora asked, "How are we ever going to find it?"
Grandmother Willow answered, "Pocahontas' mother asked me the very same question."
Pocahontas asked, "She did?"
Cinderella then asked, "What did you tell her?"
She replied, "I told her to listen. All around you are spirits, child. They live in the earth, the water, the sky. If you listen, they will guide you."
Then the leaves started to move softly and they heard a faint singing voice. "Ay ay ay na ay ay na." Pocahontas said, "I hear the wind."
Marie said, "Us too."
Grandmother Willow asked, "Yes, what is it telling you?"
They listen again and shook their heads. "We don't understand." Said Pocahontas.
They closed their eyes and listened again as Grandmother Willow sang. "Que que na-to-ra you will understand. Listen with your heart, you will understand. Let it break upon you kike a wave upon the sand."
Then Pocahontas said, "It's saying something's coming! Strange clouds?"
The girls climbed up the tree as Grandmother Willow continued. "Listen with your heart you will understand." "You will understand."
The girls made it to the top and saw what the wind was talking about. While Pocahontas looked at it strangely the girls were shocked. They knew what it was and what was coming. Grandmother Willow asked, "What do you see?"
Pocahontas said, "Clouds. Strange clouds."
On the strange ship, in the cabin, a man looked out the window. It was none other then Ratcliffe. "Look at it, Wiggins. An entire New World chock full of gold, just waiting for me." He said.
Wiggins, the assistance, was taking care of the dog. "And scores of adventures waiting for us, right, Percy? Do you think we'll meet some savages?" he asked.
"If we do, we should be sure to give them a proper English greeting." He said.
Wiggins picked up 2 items. "Oh, gift baskets!"
Ratcliffe groans and said under his breath. "And he came so highly recommended."
On top of the boat the men were ready to land. The captain of the crew was named John Smith. He went to Ratcliffe's chambers. "It's perfect, Governor. The water's deep enough, we can pull right up to shore. Hey there, Percy." He petted the dog and the dog wasn't happy with him petting him.
Ratcliffe said, "Very well then. Give the order."
John replied, "Already done, sir. I've got a crew assembled and they're ready to go."
Ratcliffe turned to him. "About the natives, I'm counting on you to make sure those filthy heathens don't disrupt our mission."
John nodded. "Well, if they're anything like the savages I've fought before, it's nothing I can't handle."
Ratcliffe said, "Right. That'll be all, Smith, there's a good man."
John pets the dog and left. "See ya, Percy."
Once he was out of the door Ratcliffe said, "The men like Smith, don't they? I've never been a popular man."
Then Wiggins started to kiss ass as he helped him get ready. "I like you."
Ratcliffe continued. "And don't think I don't know what those backstabbers at court say about me."
Wiggins continued to kiss ass. "Oh yes, all that talk about you being a pathetic social climber who's failed at everything he's—"
Ratcliffe interrupted him. "I'm very well aware that this is my last chance for glory. But mark my words, Wiggins, when King James see the gold these peasants unearth success will be mine, at last."
Back on deck 3 of them were having a conversation. "Wake up! Shake a leg!" Yell Ben.
Lon looked over the rail and saw the woods. "It's incredible."
Thomas was just in awe." And it's all ours. I've never seen anything like it."
Ben then started to tease the main man. "It can look like Ratcliffe's knickers, for all I care, just as long as we get off this stinking boat."
John Smith then joined them. "Come on, men, we didn't come all this way just to look at it."
As the men row on a small boat to the shore, Pocahontas and the girls watches them in hiding. She asked, "Who are they?"
Marie said, "They're settlers. From another land."
Ben yelled out as they row, "Keep it taut, lads, keep it taut! Steady, steady."
Lon said, "Ah, that's far enough! All right now, tie her off."
Thomas helped keeping the boat in place. "Here, John, tie up this end. John? John? What are you doing up there?" He turned his head and saw John Smith taking off.
John replied, "Getting a better look." Then he bumps into Meeko. "Hey! Well, you're a strange-looking fellow. You hungry? Here you go, it's a biscuit. It's food… Well, sort of. You like it, eh? Well, try eating it for four months straight." Meeko smells it and as he eats it, he likes it. Then he waved to the girls who were hiding. "You got a friend back there?" asked Smith. He got closer to where they were and the girls leaned back. As Smith was about to move the leaves Flit attacks him. "Hey, what, what, watch out! No… Get that… Look out!"
Then Thomas called out to him. "John! You better get down here! The Governor's coming ashore!"
John Smith heard it as Flit was still bulling him. "All right, all right, I'm leaving." He went away and the girls let out a breath of relief.
Back at the villager's camp there was a meeting going on. Powhatan said, "My brothers, we must know more about these visitors. Kekata, what do you see?"
Kekata got his powder and as he chanted he through some of it into the fire. "These are not men like us, but strange beasts with bodies that shine like the sun and weapons that spout fire and thunder. They prowl the earth like ravenous wolves consuming everything in their path." As he told the story everyone saw men, and then wolves attack their people.
Kocoum said, "Great Powhatan. I will lead our warriors to the river and attack. We will destroy these invaders the way we destroyed the Massawomecks."
Powhatan calmed the matter. "Kocoum, in that battle we knew how to fight our enemy, but these pale visitors are strange to us. Take some men to the river to observe them. Let us hope they do not intend to stay."
A few minutes later, Ratcliffe stabbed a flag into the ground as you all stood around him.
"I hereby claim this land, and all it's riches, in the name of His Majesty, King James the First, and do so name this settlement Jamestown." Ratcliffe said.
"Bravo, bravo. Beautifully spoken, sir." called his man-servant as the men cheered, with you joining them. You noticed Percy, Ratcliffe's dog come off the ship with some bath bubbles on his fur and chasing an odd gray and black creature, whose cheeks were stuffed full of something.
Then Ratcliffe went to John Smith. "Captain Smith! It appears I've selected the perfect location, eh? Not a savage in sight."
John replied, "Just because we don't see them doesn't mean they're not out there, sir."
Ratcliffe then asked, "Well then, perhaps you should venture forth and determine their whereabouts, hmm?"
Then he left with his gun. "If there are any Indians out there, I'll find them."
"Now, gentlemen, to work. You men, get the ship unloaded. You men, build the fort. The rest of you break out the shovels." Ratcliffe ordered. "It's time to start digging!"
"Digging?" asked Ben and Lon looked at each other.
"Why Of course. Let's not forget what the Spanish found when they came to the New World." Ratcliffe said as he pulled out a map. Everyone picked up and shovel and shouldered and walked over to Ratcliffe and his map, which he had set on a crate. "Gold. Mountains of it." Ratcliffe said as everonye looked at his map. "Why, for years they've been ravaging the New World of it's most precious resources." Ratcliffe said, "But now..." Ratcliffe stabs his sword into a pile of gold that's drawn on the map. "It's our turn. The gold of Cortez, the jewels of Pizarro." Twists his sword so that the men can see the jewels in the hilt. "will seem like mere trinkets by this time tomorrow." Pulls sword out of map as the crew looks at him. "The gold we find here will dwarf them by far." Swings sword and crew ducks to avoid blade.
"So, with all ya got in ya, boys" Sheathes sword. "Dig up Virgina, boys." He pulls out shovels.
"Mine, boys" Throws shovels to some men. "Mine every mountain."
"And dig, boys." Throws pick-axes to some men "dig til ya drop." Two men who catch pick-axes drop a barrel into the mud.
"Grab a pick, boys." Hold up pick-axe. "Quick, boys." Pulls two men closer to group with pick.
"Shove in a shovel, uncover those lovely pebbles that sparkle and shine." Grabs Thomas and pushes his shovel into the ground before throwing a shovel-full of dirt into the air. "It's gold. And it's mine." Pulls out pistol. "Mine" Fires pistol. "Mine."
"Dig and diggety dig." Men begin digging. "and dig and dig and diggety dig."
"Hey nonny nonny. Hi nonny nonny." Comes out with a wheel barrel of dirt. Ratcliffe steps on end of wheel barrel forcing Wiggins to stop.
Ratcliffe pulls out the small shovel that's in the wheel barrel. "Oh, how I love it."
"Hey nonny nonny. Hi nonny nonny." Wiggins runs around with wheel barrel as men cut down trees.
Ratcliffe saw the tree falls down in front of him. "Riches for cheap!"
"Hey nonny nonny. Hi nonny nonny." Men cross with wheel barrels of dirt, Wiggins pushing Ratcliffe down center as Ratcliffe stands on wheel barrel.
Wiggins pushes him to the top of a hill. "And I'll be on top of the heap."
Ratclife then started to imagine his happiness when he gets home. "My rivals back home, it's not that I'm bitter." Ratcliffe slowly steps down to the bottom of the hill. "But think how they'll squirm when they see how I glitter." Ratcliffe opens arms. "The ladies at court will be all a-twitter."
Ratcliffe then imagine kneeling in front of the king. "The king will reward me. He'll knight me - No! Lord me! It's mine! Mine" Trees fall as Ratcliffe swings his sword around. "Mine for the taking! It's mine, boys, mine me that gold!" Makes one man sift the dirt faster. "With those nuggets dug it's." Percy goes flying as you watch him soar and then catch him looking down at the disoriented pooch and he catches him. "Glory they'll give me. My dear friend King Jimmy." Wiggins passes you with a large portrait of the English King. "will probably build me a shrine. "Ratcliffe surrounded by candles and expensive looking furniture and such.
Ratcliffe and Wiggins with Percy howling along, "When," Ratcliffe pushes his head through the portriat with his head now in the area of the king's face. "all of the gold is mine."
Meanwhile John was singing about his own plans for the new world. "All of my life I've searched for a land like this one. a wild or more challenging country I couldn't design." Pocahontas and the girls spies on him. "Hundreds of dangers await and I don't plan to miss one." John almost falls but grabs a vine and swings to land on a log. "In a land I can claim. A land I can tame! The greatest adventure is mine!"
Back at the camp Ratcliffe was continuing his number. "Keep on working, lads!"
"Mine."
"Don't be shirking, lads."
"Mine."
"Boys. Mine." Ratcliffe spins around as men circle him. "Mine me that gold."
The crew was dancing around. "Dig. Dig. and diggety."
"Beautiful gold."
"Dig for that gold."
Crew and Ratcliffe sang together. "This is my land, my land."
Ratcliffe sang a bit more. "Make the mounds big, boys. I'd help you to dig, boys, but I've got this crick in me spine."
John Smith was at a cliff looking over the land. "This land we behold."
"This beauty untold."
"A man can be bold."
"It all can be sold." Ratcliffe lights cannon, whose fire cuts down several trees while you whip around to look in the direction of the noise.
"And the gold. mine Mine." And the crew keeps singing*
"Dig and dig and diggety dig."
"Hey, nonny nonny."
"It's mine." Ratcliffe stabs the flag into the top of the highest dirt mound.
Meanwhile back where John Smith was at this new world was so exhilarating and exciting; he couldn't help but be in awe of it. The strange thing was, he noticed as he stepped deeper and deeper into the heart of Virgina, was that there were no Indians around. Keeping on his guard the whole time, he soon came across a pool beside a waterfall.
He bended down to wash his face; feeling relief as the salt-spray of the journey was quickly swept away by pure water. He scooped up another handful and then hesitated. Reflected in the water he held, he could just make out a shadowy figure atop the cliff just behind him. Was it an animal? Was it a person? He had no way of knowing. But the worst thing he could do was panic, he knew that from experience, so, remaining calm, he washed his face again before standing up slowly, replacing his helmet and moving casually behind the waterfall. There, he loaded her rifle, ready to fire as the being approached the pool; and then, when he knew it was time, he leapt out onto a flat rock, raised the rifle...and stared.
Standing before him was the most beautiful young woman he had ever seen before in his life and behind her were a group of girls. She looked about his age; maybe a little younger. Wordlessly, he lowered his rifle and got to his feet. The women watched him as he slowly made his way towards her through the water but as he neared them, they jumped back, with the quick, easy grace of an animal and backed away from him and ran off.
John goes after them. "No wait! Please! Don't run off."
The girls ran through the woods and made it to the boat. John manage to catch up to them. "It's all right, I'm not gonna hurt you." Then he kneel in front of Pocahontas. "Here let me help you out of there."
Pocahontas then spoke in a different tongue. "Mat-ta-que na-to-rath."
John Smith was taken back a bit. "You don't understand a word I'm saying, do you? It's all right."
Pocahontas looked at the girls and then at his hand. Then she heard the song again. "Ay ay ay na ay ay na. Listen with your heart. You will understand. Let it break upon you. Like a wave upon the sand." It must have worked for suddenly, as the wind picked up, twirling a rainbow of leaves around them, she took his hand and got to her feet. John asked, gently. "Who are you?"
Pocahontas closed her eyes and heard the wind again. "Listen with your heart. You will understand."
"Pocahontas."
John stared. "What? What did you say?"
Pointing to herself, and replied "My name is Pocahontas."
How she understood him so suddenly was beyond him, but this was no time to wonder. "I'm John Smith," he replied, pointing to himself in kind. The girls smiled as they got off of the boat.
A few days passed and back at camp, the men were still digging and the natives were watching over them in hiding. Ratcliffe was their motivator in some dumb way. "That's it. Keep at it, men. Keep digging. It's got to be here somewhere."
One of the natives, Namontack, went to Kocuom. "There's thirty more of them, down by the ridge."
Kocuom said, "That makes more than a hundred."
Ratcliffe asked Thomas, "Anything yet?"
Thomas had to give the bad news. "Nothing but rocks and dirt sir.
Already Leon and Ben were complaining and it seems the feeling was mutual. "Um, how long are we gonna keep digging like this, sir?" asked Lon.
"Aye, we're slaving away, busting our backs, day and night—" said Ben, but he was interrupted by Ratcliffe who was eating a giant turkey leg.
"For king and country, I know, I know, and I share your fatigue. Wiggins! Wiggins!" he called for his assistant.
Wiggins were making animals by cutting the bushes. Some were really good. "Coming!"
Ratcliffe gave Wiggins the turkey leg and Wiggins tried to feed it to the dog but he wasn't impress. "Who's a good doggy? Who's a good doggy? Fetch, boy!"
Percy decided 'what the heck' and went to get the meat, but as he got close, he spotted a native and started to bark in fear and ran away. That was a signal for Ratcliffe. "Savages! It's an ambush! Arm yourselves!" Ratcliffe yelled, making the men go into a panic.
"Run!" Wiggins yelled before he hid behind of his topiaries.
"Arm yourselves!" Ratcliffe ordered as he ran for the muskets himself. "Make sure every man has a musket!" Ratcliffe ordered as men began grabbing muskets. "Shoot!" Ratcliffe ordered as Thmas grabbed the last gun. Unfortunately, he tripped and misfired toward the governor, who was just barely missed. "Them! You idiot!" Ratcliffe yelled as he pointed at Thomas. The men began firing and arrows came flying back.
"Where's that blasted Smith when I need him?" Ratcliffe yell as Thomas peered over the fallen tree.
Sadly during the crossfire, Namontack stood up and when Ratcliffe saw him, he shot him. Nomantack gripped his leg and Kocoum ran to him. "Namontack!" The fighting still continued until Kocoum got his fallen friend on his shoulders. "Back to the village!" Then the natives ran off and the men cheered.
Ratcliffe wasn't convinced. "Shut up, shut up, you fools! They'll be back. Everyone back to camp. Get the rest of the cannons ashore and finish building the fort!" The men agreed and worked harder. To Ratcliffe that was the motivation he needed. Not the way he wanted, but at least he doesn't have to do the work anymore. Then he turned to Thomas pissed off. "And you! Learn to use that thing properly. A man's not a man unless he knows how to shoot." Thomas looked down in shame.
Back at the village, Kekata was trying his best to heal the fallen worrier, who isn't feeling better at all. Powhatan watched over them and said, "These beasts invade our shores, and now this."
Kekata had to stop the chanting seeing that it isn't helping at all. "This wound is strange to me."
Powhatan had to fear the worst. "We will fight this enemy, but we cannot do it alone. Kocoum, send messengers to every village in our nation. We will call on our brothers to help us fight." Then he exist the tent to speak with his people. "These White Men are dangerous! No one is to go near them."
Back to Pocahontas, John Smith, and the girls, Pocahontas was looking at the silver hat confusedly. "It's called a helmet." Said John Smith.
Pocahontas repeated the word. "Helmat."
John Smith asked, "So what river is this?"
Cinderella said, "Quiyoughcohannock. Quite a tongue twister sometimes."
Pocahontas tried on the helmat. John Smith said, "You have most unusual names here. Chicahominy. Quiyough - Quiyoughcohannock. Pocahontas. I haven't even gotten the names of your friends."
Pocahontas said, "They're names are Marie, Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Aurora, and Cinderella. And You have the most unusual name, too. John Smith."
John Smith asked, "How did you girls arrive here?"
Aurora said, "That's a secret, but we stayed with Pocahontas for a couple of weeks now. "
John asked, "Alright, but where did you come from?"
Pocahontas said, "Like Aurora said, that's a secret."
Then John Smith felt weight in his bag and saw raccoon. He pulled Meeko out. "Hey! Is this bottomless pit a friend of yours?"
Ariel got Meeko away. "Meeko! Sorry about that. I guess whatever snacks you got he loves."
John Smith held out his hand to Meeko. "Well, how do you do, Meeko?" Meeko looked at the hand and saw no treats so he pushed it away. "It's all right, it's just a handshake. Here, let me show you."
Pocahontas just looked at it. "Nothing's happening.."
John Smith said, "No, no, I need your hand first. It's how we say hello."
Jasmine said, "Here let me show you." She started to shake John Smith's hand to show Pocahontas.
Pocahontas said, "This is how we say hello. Wingapo." She waved his hand in arm showing it.
John Smith did the same. "Wingapo."
Then Pocahontas said, "And how we say goodbye. Ana." She waved her arm and hand again.
John Smith put his hand on top of hers. "I like hello better." Flit did like this and made their hands part. "Yeah I remember you."
Flit landed on Snow White's finger. "Flit just doesn't like strangers. He did the same with us when we first arrive."
John Smith tried to pet him. "But I'm not a stranger anymore." Flit pecked his finger. "Hmm, stubborn little fellow, isn't he?"
Snow White said, "Extremely Stubborn." Flit chirped shyly at Snow White.
Then Meeko got back inside the bag and steals John Smith's compass. "Hey."
Meek ran off with it. "Meeko! Come back here!"
John Smith said, "Don't worry, he can't hurt it." Then Meeko hits it against a rock. ".] Hey, what are you doing?!" He tries to get it back but Meeko was too fast.
Belle yelled, "Meeko bring that back!" But too late, he went up a tree.
John Smtih said, "No, no, it's all right. He can keep it. Call it a gift."
Pocahontas asked, "What was that?"
John sat down next to her. "My compass."
"Compass?" she repeated.
"A fancy one too. It's the only one with a jewel on it." He said.
Ariel asked, "What's it color?"
"Axinite. It gives it a yellow-orange look to it." He replied.
Pocahontas asked, "What does it do?"
"It tells you how to find your way when you get lost. But it's all right, I'll get another one in London." Said John.
That boasted up Pocahontas' curiosity. "London? Is that your village?"
John smiled. "Yes, it's a very big village."
Marie asked, "What's it like?"
John explained. "Well, it's got streets filled with carriages and bridges over the rivers and buildings as tall as trees."
Pocahontas said, "I'd love to see those things."
John smiled. "You will."
Ariel asked, "How?"
John Smith said, "We're going to build them here. We'll show your people how to use this land properly. How to make the most of it."
Pocahontas started not liking this. "Make the most of it?"
John started to explain himself. "Yes, we'll build roads and decent houses and—"
Pocahontas was getting mad. "Our houses are fine."
Ariel said, "John, be careful what you say."
John tried to calm her down. "You think that, only because you don't know any better."
The girls face-palmed. "That's not making it better." Said Belle.
Then Pocahontas got into her boat get away from him. "Wait a minute, don't take it that" Flit tries to attack him but fans him away. He started to fallow her. He stopped the boat. "Hey, hey, wait! Wait, wait! There's so much we can teach you. We've improved the lives of savages all over the world."
"SAVAGES?!" yelled Pocahontas.
Snow White asked, "Can we pick a grave stone now?"
John tried to save his ass. "Uh, not that you're a savage."
Pocahontas wasn't having it. "Just my people."
John Smith tried again. "No, listen, that's not what I meant. Let me explain—"
Pocahontas splashes him to get away but he holds the boat in place. "Let go!"
John Smith was firm. "No, I'm not letting you leave." Then Pocahontas jumped in the tree and John tries to fallow her. The girls stay put playing referee. "Look, don't do this. 'Savage' is just a word. You know. A term for… people who are uncivilized."
"Like me." Said Pocahontas.
John said, "Well, when I say uncivilized, what I mean is – is…" Then he fell off the tree hard and his helmet landed on his head.
Pocahontas jumped down and the girls gathered around. Marie took his helmet off his head. "What you mean is, not like you."
Then Pocahontas started to sing. "You think I'm an ignorant savage and you've been so many places, I guess it must be so. But still I cannot see if the savage one is me, how can there be so much that you don't know?"
Then all of the girls sang together with Pocahontas as the wind started to move. "You don't know?"
John Smith followed them.
Marie picked up a stick and explained. "You think you own whatever land you land on. The earth is just a dead thing you can claim." Then she went to a rock and a small tree and touched them. "But I know every rock and tree and creature. Has a life, has a spirit, has a name."
Then Snow White took him to a mother bear and he was about to hunt her. "You think the only people who are people are the people who look and think like you." But then she showed him she she's a mother with 2 cubs of her own. "But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger, you'll learn things you never knew you never knew."
Then Pocahontas showed him the night starry sky. "Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue-corn moon? Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?"
Then the gang started to dance in the wind as it made them fly and twirl around. Aurora sang her part. "Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?" Then all fell gracefully down a waterfall.
Then Belle lead them running through the forest to the sunflower garden. "Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest. Come taste the sun-sweet berries of the earth. Come roll in all the riches all around you. And for once, never wonder what they're worth."
Next thing they know, Ariel was leading and was swimming underwater. "The rainstorm and the river are my brothers. The heron and the otter are my friends."
Then Jasmine and the gang had eagles on their arms and then they flew off up to a tree. "And we are all connected to each other, in a circle, in a hoop that never ends. How high does the sycamore grow? If you cut it down, then you'll never know."
Then Cinderella lead them to the cliff. "And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue-corn moon. For whether we are white or copper-skinned. We need to sing with all the voices of the mountain."
Then Pocahontas finished it off. "We need to paint with all the colors of the wind. You can own the earth and still. All you'll own is earth until you can paint with all the colors of the wind."
As Pocahontas and John Smith were looking at each other, the girls heard a familiar sound. John heard it too. "What is it?"
Pocahontas said, "The drums. They mean trouble. I shouldn't be here."
She tries to leave but John stopped her. "I want to see you again."
Pocahontas said, "I can't."
John gently held her. "Please don't leave."
The girls were ready to leave but were waiting for Pocahontas. Pocahontas shook her head and said, "I'm sorry. I have to go." Then all of them left.
Back at the finished camp, it was raining and the men were making a dug out so the watchers can do a look out at night. Ben yelled, "All right! This one's ready to hoist!."
Lon cried, "Two on each side. Ready now, push! Watch it, it's slipping!"
"Come on, lads, it's only a little picket fence." Yelled Ben.
"Steady, steady!" yelled Lon.
Soon they were done done. "There you go!"
Thomas was happy and turned to John who wasn't. "That'll keep everything out, eh, John? Something wrong, John?"
John didn't hear anything until he heard his name. "What?"
Thomas grew concern. "You've been awfully quiet the last few days."
Lon got an idea on why. "Oh, he's just mad that he missed all the action."
Thomas tried to comfort him. "Ah, don't worry, John. You'll get your chance to deal with the Indians."
Lon started to dress up and was fooling around. "Yeah, we'll take care of them like that we did last time, eh mates? We shot ourselves an injun or maybe two or three."
John didn't like that and neither did Ben. He pushed Lon in the mud. "All right, you howling nutter, get to work!"
Lon got up and got some of the mud off. "Come on, Ben. It's just a little fun."
Ben was not happy at all. "Oh sure, we're having loads of fun. Right, look at us. No gold, no food, while Ratcliffe sits up in his tent all day happy as a clam."
Well fortunately for him, Ratcliffe was now a nervous wreck. Going through map after map to the point he can memorize them easily. "I'm doomed! I should be wallowing in riches right now and I haven't seen so much as a speck! It's got to be here somewhere. Where could it be? I've mined the forests and the hills and swamps, and nothing! Why can't I find it? What am I overlooking?"
Then he heard his assistance. He saw him and it looked like Wiggins had an arrow through his head. "I… I… I made it myself." Turns out the arrow was just a joke.
Ratcliffe didn't like it and took it away. "Take that silly…" Then he got a stupid idea. "Of course, the Indians! Wiggins, why do you think those insolent heathens attacked us?"
Wiggins answered the truth. "Because we invaded their land and cut down their trees and dug up their earth?"
Ratcliffe dismiss it. "It's the gold! They have it and they don't want us to take it from them. Well, I'll just have to take it by force then, won't I?"
Back outside, when the rain was done, Ben and Lon were asleep when Ratcliffe went to them. "You there! Where's Captain Smith?" he asked.
The 2 looked around and Lon said, "Well, he's… gone!"
Then Ben hits him on the head. "Aye, your singing must have scared him off."
Ratcliffe grew annoyed. "Well, then go get him, for heaven's sake!"
Lon grew scared. "What if we run into the Indians?"
Ratcliffe smiled at him smugly. "That's what guns are for, now arm yourselves and get moving!"
Meanwhile, the girls were picking corn from the fields. Well all but Pocahontas. She only picked one. Mostly cause John Smith was in her mind. Then her father came into the field looking for her. She soon found her. "Pocahontas! You should be inside the village."
Pocahontas stood up and joined the others. Marie said, "We'll be alright."
Then Nakoma said, "We're gathering food for when the warriors arrive."
Ariel said, "We joined in for the extra help."
Powhatan let out a breath of relief. "Don't go far. Now is not the time to be running off."
Pocahontas nodded. "Yes, father."
Powhatan saw then her necklace. "When I see you wear that necklace, you look just like your mother."
Pocahontas held the white stone in her fingers. "I miss her."
Powhatan put his hands on her shoulder. "But she is still with us. Whenever the wind blows through the trees, I feel her presence. Our people looked to her for wisdom and strength. Someday, they will look to you as well."
Pocahontas said, "I would be honored by that." She smiled at him.
Powhatan said, "You shouldn't be out here alone. I'll send for Kocoum." Then he left leaving the girls in the cornfield.
Nakoma felt something was wrong. "Alright what is it?"
All of the girls answered, "What?"
Nakoma wants answers and she's willing for force them out. "You girls hiding something."
Snow White said, "We're not hiding anything."
Nakoma then started to plead. "You can tell me, I promise I won't tell anyone —" Then she saw John Smith entered the field. "Girls, look! It's one of them! I'm going to get—"
But then her mouth was covered by Aurora. Pocahontas asked, "What are you doing here?" Nakoma looked at her confused.
He answered, "I had to see you again." And that scared Nakoma.
Then everyone heard Kocoum in the distance. "Pocahontas!" They nearly gave Nakoma a heart-attack. "Pocahontas!"
Cinderella said, "Please don't say any thing."
Pocahontas took John's hand. "Quick, this way."
Soon the group left leaving Nakoma alone. Kocoum soon found her and she was along. "Nakoma, where is Pocahontas and the girls?"
Nakoma grew nervous and went back to picking corn. "I… I haven't seen them."
Kocoum sigh and shook his head. "They can't keep running off. It's dangerous out there. Tell them that. They listen to you." Then he left.
Nakoma scoffed. "Huh, sure they do."
Meanwhile, the group were at Grandmother Willow's glen and John was talking more about why he's there. "This place is incredible! And to think, we came all this way just to dig it up for gold."
Pocahontas asked, "Gold?"
Then Meeko joined in. "Hey Meeko." He gave him a treat and Meeko ate it happily. "You know, it's… It's yellow, comes out of the ground, it's really valuable."
Pocahontas then brought out a corn and pulled back the leaves. "Oh, here, we've lots of it. Gold."
John saw it and chuckled a bit. "No… Gold is this." Then he took out a coin. "Or better example, Cinderella's and Jasmine's locket."
Pocahontas simply said, "Hmm, there's nothing like that around here."
John looked at her confused. "No gold?"
Pocahontas shook her head. "Not that I've seen."
John Smith couldn't help but laugh. "All this way for nothing. Those boys are in for a big surprise."
Marie said, "Well actually, you're on the wrong side of the country."
John Smith said, "So there is gold."
Marie said, "Yep but I'm not telling. Besides, to get from here to there, you and your crew wouldn't survive."
The girls whispered to her, "Why didn't you tell him?"
Marie said, "They're a few year behind when it's discover and I mean by 200 years." The girls backed off. Best not to change history.
Pocahontas asked John, "Will they leave?"
John answered, "Some of them might."
Belle asked, "What about you?"
He answered, "Well, it's not like I have much of a home to go back to. I've never really belonged anywhere."
Ariel said, "Boy do we know the feeling."
Pocahontas asked, "You felt the same?"
Marie said, "Might as well summarize it girls."
Ariel said, "Tired of staying home all the time."
Belle said, "Tired of being the only smart one in my old village."
Snow White said, "Having some responsibility."
Jasmine said, "Want to make my own choices."
Aurora said, "Take control of my own life."
Cinderella said, "And having freedom against my step-family."
John said, "Wow. Guess I can't complain much. I apologies. I didn't know."
Marie said, "The old saying goes, 'Don't judge a book by it's cover'."
Pocahontas then got an idea. "You could belong here."
John was about to response when he heard a voice. "Ay ay ay na ay ay na…" He stood up and looked at the tree and for a split second he thought he saw a face. "What was that?"
Pocahontas went behind him and the girls smiled and watched. Pocahontas asked, "Did you see something?"
John thought he was high on bad weed or something. "No… No, I just, uh… I… I didn't see anything. Did I?"
All the girls told him. "Look again."
John looked at the tree again and the face appears again. For the first time he was looking at the face of Grandmother Willow. "Let it break upon you. Like a wave upon the sand. Hello, John Smith."
Now John KNOWS he smoked mad weed. "Pocahontas, the tree is talking to me."
The girls giggled. Pocahontas said, "Then you should talk back."
Snow White said, "She's really nice."
Grandmother Willow said, "Don't be frightened, young man. My bark is worse than my bite."
Cinderella said, "She's right about that."
Aurora said, "Say something."
But John didn't know what to make of this. "What do you say to a tree."
Belle said, "Anything you want."
Then John moved a bit closer to the tree. "So, uh…"
But then Grandmother Willow moved her leaves and brought John closer. "Come closer, John Smith." Then he looked into his soul. "He has a good soul. And he's handsome, too."
John then smiled at that comment. "Oh I like her."
Pocahontas rested her head on his shoulder. "I knew you would."
Then they heard Ben and Lon in the distance. "Smith! Smith! Where are you."
John brought Pocahontas close to him. "We can't let hem see us."
Then Marie got an idea. "I got an idea." She went to Grandmother Willow and whispered something to her.
Grandmother will smiled. "Oh I love that idea."
As the group hid, Lon said, "This place gives me the creeps. Savages could be hiding anywhere."
Ben said, "Aye, well, if you spot one, don't ask questions. Just shoot."
Then Lon saw something on a tree trunk. "Hey look at this." Words were carved on the trunk. "He's here. I'm not liking this."
Ben said, "It's probably a trick from Smith." Then they heard footsteps but none of them were walking.
Lon looked at the tree again and the words change. "You will never escape. Now I'm really scared."
Ben was starting to get scared too. "Those words change, but how."
Then the 2 felt something tapped on their shoulder. They turned their heads and paled. They saw a tall figure in the woods with tactical coming out. "Wa-what is that thing?" asked Lon.
Then grandmother will made a noise like a tv going out of service. The 2 got so scared they ran off. Lon yelled, "What about Smith?!"
Ben answered, "He's a big lad, he can take care of himself!" Soon they were gone.
Marie laugh as Grandmother Willow made the figure go away. Her branches made it. "Thus the beginning of Slender-man." Marie laughed so hard she fell in the water. The others laugh and helped her back on the stump.
Grandmother Willow calmed down and said, "There's still some snap in these old vines."
John Smith then got his stuff. "I better get back before they send the whole camp out after me. And I better tell those 2 that there's no such thing as Slender-man."
Pocahontas asked, "When will I see you again?"
John held her hand. "Meet me tonight, right here." Then he left.
Grandmother Willow smiled. "Well, I haven't had this much excitement in 200 years. Where did you get this Slender-man idea anyway?"
Marie said, "Probably best you don't know. Let's just say thanks to that fictional character 2 psycho girls tried to kill their best friend."
Ariel said, "Okay change of topic."
Pocahontas started to braid her hair. "What am I doing? I shouldn't be seeing him again. I mean, I want to see him again—"
Grandmother Willow said, "Who wouldn't? I want to see him again."
Belle said, "Us too."
Jasmine said, "He's a nice man."
Pocahontas said, "But still, something inside is telling me it's the right thing."
Aurora said, "Perhaps it's your dream."
Pocahontas then understood. "My dream? Do you think he's the one the spinning arrow was pointing to?"
Cinderella said, "Maybe."
Back at the village boat came into the village lead by another chief. It was the warriors. Ever since that man was shot, and nearly lost his leg, they're not taking any chances. The girls soon arrived back in the village. Nakoma saw them. "Are you crazy? What were you doing with that—"
Then Kocoum went to them and put his arm around around Pocahontas. "There you are!" He pointed out to the warriors where the chief greeted each other. "Now that we are joined by our brothers, we will defeat this enemy."
Pocahontas then ran to her father. Marie couldn't keep her mouth shut. "Kocoum I need to talk to you."
Kocoum looked at her. "What is it?"
The girls turned their attention to her. Nakoma fallowed Pocahontas. "Listen, in the future you're going to see something that's going to make you really angry. I'm asking not to fallow Pocahontas."
Kocoum asked, "Why?"
Then the lockets glowed and it showed Kocoum his future. Kocoum saw it and asked, "Can it be change?"
Marie said, "No it can't."
Kocoum made the image go away. "Then I'll change my fate. I will not die."
Ariel said, "It is already predetermined."
Kocoum said, "Explain."
Belle asked, "When the shaman was describing the white men, did a spirit wolf travel around you?"
Kocoum said, "Yes. Why ask that?"
Snow White said, "It shows that you will fall at their hands."
Kocoum shook his head said, "I don't believe it."
Jasmine said, "We don't ever lie. Did Powhatan made that image go away?"
Kocoum nodded his head. Aurora said, "Than that means, he won't die as well as won't fight."
Kocoum said, "But he bears the symbol."
The girls paled. Cinderella asked, "What did you say?"
Kocoum said, "Lines are appearing on his hand almost like scars. It means he's blessed. I don't have time for this." Then he left.
Marie asked, "What are we going to do? We know one person has the mark but…"
Ariel said, "He's being tricked."
Belle said, "There has to be a way to save the chief."
Snow White said, "We need to get Pocahontas, and the compass. That jewel might be hers."
Jasmine said, "We need to wake her up so she can be a scout."
Aurora asked, "But how? We can't exactly go into the settlers camp and convinced them to leave."
Cinderella said, "Even if we do leave, the minion is here and he or she might get all of us."
Later that night, the girls plus Pocahontas, were running to the area when Nakoma stopped them. "Don't go out there. I lied for you once, don't ask me to do it again."
Pocahontas said, "We have to go."
Nakoma got her arm. "He's one of them!"
Marie said, "So are we but you accepted us. I'm Mexican/Italian/Portugal."
Ariel said, "Caribbean."
Belle, Aurora & Cinderella said, "French."
Snow White said, "German."
Jasmine said, "Saudi Arabia."
Nakoma asked, "And your point is?" That made the girls groaned.
Pocahontas groaned and said, "You don't know him."
Nakome argued back. "You go out there, you all will be turning your back on your own people."
Pocahontas said, "I'm trying to help my people."
Marie crossed her arms. "And last time I checked, you rather do nothing while the men risk their lives out in battle when they left to go against your perviouse enemies.."
Nakoma sighed and said, "You're my best friends, I don't want you girls to get hurt."
Pocahontas tried to comfort her. "We won't, we know what we're doing." Then they ran off while Nakoma called out to them.
Back at the camp, apparently Smith came back and told everyone there's no gold and more healthier food. While the men were getting the idea, Ratcliffe argued that the natives were stupid and he makes the rules and if no one fallows he'll hang them personally. At the same time Meeko was causing trouble with Ratcliffe's dog, Percy. Of course the dog ran after him into the forest and he got stuck in a dead tree.
John Smith found Meeko and brought him over to his tent, once it was dark enough, the 2 snuck away. As they left, they heard a conversation with the men.
Ben said, "Ratcliffe wouldn't take us halfway around the world for nothing."
Lon asked, "But what if Smith is right? What if there is no gold?"
"If you ask me, Ratcliffe's been lying to us since we left London."
"Listen to you, you bunch of idiots. Those savages didn't attack us for nothing, they're hiding something."
Thomas saw John Smith leaving and fallowed. At the gate, he was shoved out. He turned his head and saw Ratcliffe. "Follow him." Said Ratciffe.
Thomas nodded. "Yes, sir."
"And if you happen to see any Indians, shoot them. Oh, and Thomas? You've been a slipshod sailor and a poor excuse for a soldier. Don't disappoint me again." Then he left leaving Thomas to fallow John at a safe distance.
Back at the village, Kocoum was in his tent getting his gear ready for the battle when Nakoma went in. "Kocoum?"
He saw her. "What is it?"
Nakoma was hesitant but said, "It's the girls."
He asked, "What's wrong?"
She answered, "I think they're in trouble."
Cut back to the glen, the girls made it to Grandmother Willow. Grandmother Willow asked, "The earth is trembling, child. What's happened?"
The girls answered, "The warriors are here!"
Then they heard a voice. "Pocahontas!" They turned their heads and saw John Smith running to them and Meeko was with him too. "Listen to me. My men are planning to attack your people. You've got to warn them."
Pocahontas said, "Maybe it's not too late to stop this. You have to come with me and talk to my father."
John tried to reason with her. "Pocahontas, talking isn't going to do any good. I already tried talking to my men but everything about this land has them spooked."
Ariel said, "That's because they're being brainwashed."
John said, "Tell me something I don't know."
The girls looked at each other and Marie said, "Best if we show you."
The girls got their lockets ready. "Please don't be scared and faint when you see this."
Then they transformed. "Princess Light Power…"
"Princess Beauty Power…"
"Princess Temperance Power…"
"Princess Compassion Power…"
"Princess Fairness Power…"
"Princess Love Power…"
"Princess Hope Power…"
"MAKE UP!" And so the girls transformed into the scouts mode.
Pocahontas and John looked at them in shocked. Then they heard a howl and Percy still stuck in the tree walking to them. "That's the strangest creature I've ever seen!" said Grandmother Willow.
Soon Percy was free and started to chase Meeko again. John Smith and Pocahontas tried to stop them. "Percy! Easy, Percy, come here."
"Meeko, come back!"
"You see what I mean? Once two sides want to fight, nothing can stop them."
"Come, come here!"
"It's all right, he's a friend. Bad, bad dog! Sit!"
"What are you doing? Meeko!"
"Percy, get back here! Stop that!"
Finally Grandmother had enough. "ALL RIGHT THAT'S ENOUGH!" Percy saw that, froze and fell into the water. Grandmother Willow picked him up and put him on the stump. "It's enough to make your sap boil."
Marie muttered, "Wait until you hear it all night non-stop for weeks."
Grandmother Willow brought back their attention. "Now then, there's something I want to show you. Look." She dipped her vine in the water and it made ripples.
Pocahontas said, "The ripples."
John and the girls looked confused. "What about them?"
Grandmother Willow explained. "So small at first, then look how they grow. But someone has to start them."
John understood. "They're not going to listen to us."
The girls and Grandmother Willow shook their heads. "Young man, sometimes the right path is not the easiest one. Don't you see, only when the fighting stops can you can be together." Grandmother Willow brought them close to each other symbolizing they can be together."
John and Pocahontas looked at each other and smiled. John said, "All right, let's go talk to your father." Grandmother Willow then closed her vines around the animals and the girls to give them some space.
Then the 2 embraced each other and kissed. But what they didn't know is that they were being watched. Thomas from the camp and Kocoum from the village. Kocoum saw that John was kissing his fiancé and got angry. He ignore what the girls told him and went on to an attack. He attacks John and Pocahontas and the girls tried to stop them. Thomas saw it and was getting his gun ready. Then Marie remember Thomas. "Oh no." She saw Thomas and ran to him. "Thomas no!" But too late, he shot Kocoum.
Kocoum landed in the water and the girls went to him to see if he was alive. Before he landed in the water, he took hold of Pocahontas' necklace and broke it. John turned to Thomas. "Thomas!"
Thomas was shocked of what he had done. "Is he?"
Pocahontas grew mad. "You killed him!
Thomas grew scared. "I thought that—"
Pocahontas tried to ran to him but was being held back by the girls. "Get away from him!"
Belle said, "Pocahontas, it won't help! He was only—"
"He killed him!"
Then they heard the natives shouting as they were getting close to the area. Belle said, "Thomas, get out of here. Get out of here!"
Thomas ran off and the natives got John. As he was dragged away, the rest of the natives went to Kocoum's body and took it away from the waters. The girls went to Pocahotnas and helped her walk back to the village. Snow White heard wimpering and saw that Percy was scared and under the tree. She gently went to him. "Come out Percy, we won't hurt you." Percy didn't until Meeko put a paw on his head and purred calming him down. Percy then got out of the roots and went into Snow White's arms.
Back at the village, the people gathered around when Kocoum's body was presented to the chief. Powhatan grew angry and asked, "Who did this?"
Then the men dragged John to him and explained. "Pocahontas and the scouts were out in the woods. Kocoum went to find her and this white man attacked them."
Powhatan pointed his spear at his neck. "Your weapons are strong. But now our anger is stronger. At sunrise he will be the first to die!"
Pocahontas tried to speak her side. "But father."
Powhatan looked at his daughter. "I told you to stay in the village. You disobeyed me. You have shamed your father! And you scouts, you were brought here to protect us. You've failed us!"
They yelled together. "We were only trying to help."
Powhatan was having none of it. "Because of your foolishness, Kocoum is dead! Take him away."
John looked at Pocahontas in sadness as he was being dragged away. Pocahontas went to her knees and the girls kneeled beside her. Aurora and Belle were rubbing her back. Nakoma went to them. Pocahontas saw her and said, "Kocoum was just coming to protect me."
Nakome explained herself as she kneeled in fornt of her. "Pocahontas, I sent Kocoum after you. I was worried about you. I thought I was doing the right thing."
Pocahontas and the girls were no longer mad at her. "All of this happened because of me… And now I'll never see John Smith again."
Cinderella asked, "Is there a way for her to see him?"
Nakoma nodded. "Come with me."
They went to the prison tent and Nakoma talked to the guards. "Pocahontas wants to look into the eyes of the man who killed Kocoum."
The guards nodded. "Be quick and her alone."
Pocahontas entered the tent alone and saw John tied up sitting in the middle of the tent. John saw her. "Pocahontas."
Pocahontas went to him and hugged him. "I'm so sorry."
John jut smiled. "For what, this? I've gotten out of worse scrapes than this. Can't think of any right now, but…"
It wasn't making her feel better. "It would've been better if we'd never met, none of this would've happened." She looked down.
John said, "Pocahontas, look at me. I'd rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you."
Then they had their moment. "If I never knew you, if I never felt this love, I would have no inkling of how precious life can be if I never held you. I would never have a clue how at last I'd find in you the missing part of me. In this world so full of fear, full of rage and lies, I can see the truth so clear in your eyes. So dry your eyes and I'm so grateful to you. I'd have lived my whole life through lost forever, if I never knew you."
"I thought our love would be so beautiful somehow we'd make the whole world bright. I never knew that fear and hate could be so strong all they'd leave us were these whispers in the night. But still my heart is saying we were right for if I never knew you."
"There's no moment I regret."
"If I never knew this love."
"Since the moment that we met."
"I would have no inkling of."
"If our time has gone too fast."
"How precious life can be."
"I've lived at last."
Nakoma entered, "Pocahontsa?"
Pocahontas shook her head as she held his cheek. "I can't leave you."
John said, "You never will. No matter what happens to me, I'll always be with you. Forever." Then Pocahontas left. "And I'm so grateful to you I'd have lived my whole life through empty as the sky."
"Never knowing why."
Then they remembered their time at the river. "Lost forever if I never knew you."
Back at the camp, Thomas ran back calling for help. "Help! Somebody, help! Help! Help!"
The crew saw him. Lon asked, "Easy, lad. What is it?"
Thomas said, "It's Smith! They got him!"
Ben asked, "Who got him?"
"The savages!"
"Savages?"
"They capture him, dragged him off!"
"Where'd they take him?"
"They headed North!"
"How many were there?"
"I don't know, at least a dozen."
"Filthy beasts!"
Ratcliffe couldn't but over hear them in his tent. "It's perfect, Wiggins! I couldn't have planned this better myself. The gold is as good as mine!"
Thomas said, "We've got to save him! He'd do the same for any of us."
Ben said, "Thomas is right! We've got to do something."
Then Ratcliffe went to them. "And so we shall! I told you those savages couldn't be trusted. Smith tried to befriend them, and look what they've done to him. But now I say it's time to rescue our courageous comrade. At daybreak, we attack!" The crew cheered and as he sang Wiggins put on Ratcliffe's black armer. "What can you expect
From filthy little heathens here's what you get when races are diverse. Their skin's a hellish red. They're only good when dead. They're vermin as they said and worse."
Then the crew joined in as they got ready. "They're savages, savages."
"Barely even human"
"Savages, savages"
"Drive them to our shore. They're not like you and me which means they must be evil. We must sound the drums of war." As he gave everyone the guns, Thomas was the only one that wasn't happy.
"They're savages, savages dirty shrieking devils now we sound the drums of war."
At the village the chief and his men were getting ready. "This is what we feared. The Paleface is a demon. The only thing they feel at all is greed."
Keketa was putting on war pain on 2 of the warriors. "Beneath that milky hide there's emptiness inside."
"I wonder if they even bleed."
Then all together as the dance around the fire. "They're savages, savages."
"Barely even human."
"Savages, savages."
"Killers at the core."
"They're different from us which means they can't be trusted."
Powhatan got his weapon to bash John's head in. "We must sound the drums of war."
" They're savages, savages first we deal with this one then we sound the drums of war."
Now both sides are ready for battle. "Savages, savages"
"Let's go get a few men."
"Savages, savages."
"Now it's up to you, men."
Then fire at both camps traveled up and clashed with each other making thunder and lighting. "Savages, savages. Barely even human. Now we sound the drums of war."
Back at Grandmother Willow's glen the girls were hanging their heads low. "They're going to kill him at sunrise, Grandmother Willow." Said Pocahontas.
Grandmother Willow said, "You have to stop them."
Marie said, "Please Pocahontas."
She said, "I can't."
Ariel said, "But remember your dream."
Pocahontas argued back. "I was wrong, Grandmother Willow. I followed the wrong path. I feel so lost."
Jasmine then thought of an idea and nodded of to Meeko. Meeko went up the tree to a small whole where John keeps some of his stuff and got the compass. Then he went to her. "The compass?" She looked at it. "The jewel." Then she saw the arrow. "Spinning arrow!"
The girls smiled. "It's the arrow from your dream!"
Pocahontas smiled as the wind made the arrow spin. "I was I was right! It was pointing to him." Then the compass floated up into the air and it went to Pocahontas's necklace. Then she whispered, "Princess Peace Power Make up." Then she transformed. The compass now in the middle of the bow and the arrow was still spinning.
The girls hugged her. "We knew you were the scout! We just knew!"
Pocahontas hugged them back. Then they saw a big compass in front of them with the arrow spinning line the one Pocahontas has on. Then Pocahontas saw the sun. "Sunrise!"
Grandmother Willow said, "It's not too late, scouts. Let the spirits of the earth guide you!" Then the arrow in front of them and on Pocahontas stopped point straight ahead and the wind was leading the way. "You know your path, children… Now follow it!" Then the girls started running.
In the battle field both sides got closer to each other. One side Ratcliffe led the way. "This will be the day! Let's go men!"
Powhatan was at the other side. "This will be the morning. Bring out the prisoner." His men dragged out John stilled tied up.
"We will see them dying in the dust."
The girls got out of the forest with Pocahontas leading the way and sang together. "We don't know what we can do still I know we've got to try."
"Now we make them pay."
As the scouts ran, their shadows transformed into eagles. "Eagle help out feet to fly."
"Now without a warning"
Then the deer was running with the scouts. "Mountain, help our hearts be great."
"Now we leave them blood and bone and dust."
As they ran nearly all the spirits ran with them. "Spirits of the earth and sky."
"It's them or us."
The scouts ran faster. "Please dear God don't let us be too late."
"They're just a bunch of filthy, stinking Savages, savages"
"Demons."
"Devils."
"Kill them!"
"Savages, savages."
"What are we waiting for?"
"Destroy their evil race until there's not a trace left."
The scouts were getting closer. "How loud are the drums of war?"
Then all parties made it to the battlefield. John was on top of a cliff lying against the rock and Powhatan was bout to kill him. The other group was ready to fire when it happens. "We will sound the drums of war Savages, savages Now we sound the drums of war Now we see what comes trying to be chums."
"Is the death of all I love carried in the drumming of."
And just as Powhatan was about to kill him, Pocahontas got in the way and laid her head on his and the scouts became the boarder so that neither party would attack. Pocahontas said to her father. "If you kill him you'll have to kill me, too."
Powhatan said, "Daughter, stand back!"
She shouted. "I won't! I love him, father." Her father looked at her in shock. "Look around you. This is where the path of hatred has brought us." Powhatan looked at both parties. "One already bears the mark of the All Evil. Will you bear it too?"
Powhatan was speechless. He looked at his hand and saw the scars that were starting to disappear. Then the wind blows and he started to listen. At the same time both Indians and Englishmen lowered their weapons. Then Powhatan raised his weapon as a sign of surrender. "My daughter speaks with wisdom beyond her years. We've all come here with anger in our hearts, but she comes with courage and understanding. From this day forward, if there is to be more killing, it will not start with me." He put his weapon away. "Release him."
One of the men released John and the 2 hugged each other. "You look beautiful Pocahontas."
Pocahontas said, "The jewel on the compass showed me the way."
Ratcliff then took his chance. "Now's our chance fire!"
Marie said, "Not on your life Ratcliffe."
He growled at him. "You good for nothing bitch."
Ariel said, "We won't let you hurt these people."
Belle said, "And brainwash you men into fear."
Snow White said, "Reveal your mark minion."
Ratcliffe smiled smugly at them. "What don't know what you are talking about."
Jamine yelled, "Don't play dumb with us!"
Aurora said, "We know you're with the All Evil."
Cinderella said, "Surrender now and no one gets hurt."
Ratcliffe growled and the mark that was on his back glowed scaring the men behind him. "You good got nothing. The REAL me, was a fool to trust these savages. They killed him and enough is ENOUGH!" Then he released his beast mode. His was a griffin. "Time to end you once and for all." Then he started to attack everyone, even his own men wounding them, tossing them in the air or in trees.
The Englishmen tried to shoot it with guns, and the Indians with arrows, but for a fat bird Ratcliffe was faster.
Marie cried, "Blind Light Blast!" But she missed.
Ariel yelled, "Mermaid Typhoon Monsoon!" But Ratcliffe turned it back to it hit Ariel.
"Rose Vine Blast!" But Ratcliffe ate the vines with ease.
Jasmine said, "Slice n Dice Slash!" But it only gave him a haircut.
"Sonic Song Strike!" Aurora did a high C but Ratcliffe fanned it away.
"Dream Serious Sword!" But Ratcliffe caught it with his teeth and destroyed it.
"You have to do better then that against me!" yelled the griffin.
Then an arrow came out of nowhere and hit him in the eye. The scouts, who were hurt, saw where it came from and saw a lady, which looks exactly like Marie leading another group of natives. "Oh my goodness." Said Marie. The warriors behind her raised their arrows and wounded Ratcliffe a little.
The strange native went to the girls and helped him up. Marie yelled to Pocahontas, "You must attack! You're element is Peace! Stop him to end destruction!"
Pocahontas then got out of John's arms and walked to the cliff. "Please be safe." He said.
Pocahontas smiled. "I will." She turned to Ratcliff. "Hey ugly!" Ratcliffe saw her. "You've cause more then though trouble. Destroying the earth, harming my people, brainwashing you're, it's pathetic. I'm Sailor Peace and in the name for all that's good, I shall punish you!"
"What are you going to do savage? You're weak! You're nothing! The real you died a fool!" taunted Ratcliffe.
Then Pocahontas felt power in her hands. Once a good ball of wind was in her hands she yelled, "Great Air Blaster!" She releases the air from her hands and it hits Ratcliffe.
As it hits him, he screamed in pain and all of his feathers went away leaving him to transformed back into his human form. As he lay on the ground he looked at his men and then back at the chief. He got the gun. "I'll settle this myself."
John saw he was about to shoot Powhatan and got in the way. As Ratcliff fired, John took the bullet. Ratcliffe looked back at his men as just as he was about to run but then he was incase in ice. The men back away as Ratcliffe was just frozen. He was alive cause his eyes were moving, but frozen nonetheless.
The girls stood up and saw the trail of ice where the blast came from. The Native girl went to Marie. "Descendent of mine, follow that trail. There someone is waiting for you."
Marie looked at her. "You're my ancestor?"
She replied, "In this world only. I knew that you needed my help, though forgive me if I didn't try enough."
Marie put her hand on the woman's shoulder. "At least it shows why I passed archery class." She turned to her friends. "Heal the wounded. I'll be back." Then Marie went running fallowing the ice trail.
As she ran, she went through woods, jumped over, small cliff areas until she made it to an area where it was covered in snow. She looked around and touched the ice but it didn't feel cold to her. Then she looked a head and saw a man. He was tall, tan skin, long black hair with a beard shadow on his face and his eyes were darkish green. He was wearing alight blue long sleeve shirt with a light green vest with a whitish/bluish trim, same color pants as his shirt, snowflake boats, a sparkling blue robe with a snowflake pattern belt. He looked so handsome and bewitching to Marie. As she looked at him and he looks at her, the wind gently pushes them together and a voice came. "Ay ay ay na ay ay na…" The 2 gently walked up to each other. "Que que na-to-ra you will understand. Listen with your heart, you will understand." Once the 2 were about arms length Marie asked, "Who are you?" The man looked at her and then gently took her left hand and brought it to his lips and kissed it. "Let it break upon you kike a wave upon the sand." Then he disappeared. "Listen with your heart, you will understand." As he left the snow went away leaving the grassy area.
Marie looked around and saw he was really gone. She brought her kissed hand to her chest and held it. Then she down at her feet and saw a broken chain link. She picked it up and as she looked at it, she remembers what the shaman had said to her. "It's you." She said.
Later that day, the crew were getting ready to get back on the boat and to get John back home to get better. Ben, Lon, and Thomas were working together to get it done fast. "Is he going to make it, Thomas?" asked Ben.
Thomas replied, "Sooner he gets back to England, the better."
"Well, let's hope the wind is with him if Sailor Peace permits it." Said Lon.
Thomas asked Ben, "Is the ship ready yet?"
He replied, "Any minute now. Just loading the last bit of cargo thanks for Belle's ice box idea."
The other men then tried an ice box, with Ratcliffe still frozen inside, on a boat and pushed it on it's way. Thank goodness it wasn't heavy enough to sank the small boat. Wiggins was crying on land. "And he came so highly recommended."
John, was laying on a stretcher with bandage around his chest, blankets on him, and sleeping bag behind his head. Thomes, Ben, and Lon went to him. "The ship's almost ready. We'd better get you on board. We'll lose the tide."
The 2 were about to pick him up when John stops them. "No, not yet. She said she'd be here."
As the men lowered him, Thomas saw something from the forest. "Look."
All turned to the foggy forest and they saw Pocahontas, in her normal clothes, the girls, and then her people with basket of food for the crew. After they did that, she started to walk slowly to John. As she did the men took off their hats out of respect. Thomas said, "Going back is his only chance, he'll die if he stays here."
Pocahontas put a hand on his shoulder and then walked to John and kneeled next to him. She gave him a pouch. "Here. It's from Grandmother Willow's bark. It'll help with the pain." She said.
John chuckled a bit. "What pain? I've had worse pain than this." Then he started to wince. "Can't think of any right now, but…"
Then Powhatan walked up to him and gave him his fur cap and place it on John so he can stay warm. "You are always welcome among our people. Thank you, my brother."
Then Flit flew to him and landed on John's finger. "I thought you didn't like strangers."
Then Flit flew to Meeko and Percy and they presented Pocahontas the fix necklace. Pocahontas took it. "My mother's necklace."
John gently touched the white stone. "You know that jewel would fit perfectly in this white shell. It IS detachable."
Pocahontas smiled. "I'll keep that in mind."
Then the girls went to John. He said to Pocahontas said, "Come with me."
She looked back at her father. "You must choose your own path."
She looked at the boat and then at her people. Then she started to cry as she put his hand against her cheek. "I'm needed here."
John said, "Then I'll stay with you."
Pocahontas shook her head. "No, you have to go back."
"But I can't leave you." He told her.
Pocahontas smiled. "You never will. No matter what happens, I'll always be with you. Forever."
Then the 2 kissed for a while. After they broke the kiss he told the girls, "You take good care of her. Alright?"
Cinderella nodded. "We will."
Then the 2 went to John and lifted him up. As they take him away, John gently let go of Pocahontas' hand. Then they placed him on the ship. "Good luck, lad." Said Lon.
"Good luck." Said Thomas.
John made it to the boast and it started to go away but everyone noticed that it wasn't going fast enough. Powhatan put his hand on his daughter's shoulder as they watched. Finally Pocahontas couldn't take it anymore. She started to run. As she run she transformed and soon made it to the cliff. The same one as the one before. Then she used her wind powers to make sure it hits the sails to make the boast faster to the main land. John felt the wind and opened his eyes. He saw Pocahontas. He waved at her and she waved back. Maybe one day they'll see each other again.
