A/N: A little smut

The couple finally arrives back in Tokyo.

Sesshomaru and Rin are back to reality. The vacation was fun, but now they will face their fears. Can they make their relationship work now since they will return to their regular schedules?

They were happy they had this intimate time together separately from everyone else. The couple seems to value their privacy when it comes to specific situations, like this one.

The couple waits for their belongings to be packed inside the SUV.

They look deeply into each other's eyes, holding hands. It was as if they would be parting for good.

There were a lot of uneasy emotions flowing between the two. They would have to figure out how to balance them.

Sesshomaru opened the door to the car and got in after her. The car ride was quiet and awkward for a while until Sesshomaru made Rin sit in his lap.

He nuzzles into her hair and neck, whining. Was it supposed to be this hard for him to part with Rin? It wasn't like they were breaking up; they would not live as they were in Tahiti.

They spent so much time together that the thought of them being apart stung at their hearts.

Sesshomaru peppered Rin with kisses the rest of the ride, and she let him.

"Why don't you just stay with me, Rin?"

Rin giggled. "Let's date a little while, and then we can move on to that step, okay?" she says, tilting her head to the side.

They finally arrive at Rin's apartment. Sesshomaru brings in all of Rin's belongings and the wardrobe he bought her.

He was reluctant to leave, but he knew he had to get back to business as usual. "Rin, do not hesitate to call or text me. If I am busy, I will get back to you as soon as possible."

Sesshomaru brings her closer to him and kisses her lips so softly.

"I will do my best to also keep in contact. I know we are mates, but I don't want to lose contact with you. I know you said how easy it is for humans to change their mind on becoming mates with a demon."

"Do not speak like that; I cannot bear it."

"Forgive me, my love. Call me when you get home or when you are settled in."

Sesshomaru nods and gives her one last kiss before leaving.

Rin leans against her door and blows air up, making her bangs fly up. "Looks like unpacking will keep my thoughts from my demon."

Sesshomaru stood outside of her door like a lovesick puppy, not wanting to leave.

He takes a deep breath and finally finds the strength to move his body to leave. As he walked to his vehicle, he thought he overdid it with how many times he tasted Rin, but his want for her was so strong.

Although she did not protest, he felt he overdid it for himself in the back of his mind. He wanted to satisfy her. He wanted to be her first for everything. He wanted her to feel as if he was the only one that could give her that kind of pleasure, especially since they would be separated more now.

He could not fathom if she dismissed him, and he wasn't the one that made her feel pleasure first. If he could move inside her, she truly wouldn't think of another.

He would possess her .

But if she did, he could live with her being with another, knowing he was first to make her feel what a true orgasm was.

So, this distance thing would be a problem. It would be the only thing that would not make this relationship work.

Sesshomaru stepped back into the limo, rested his head on the headrest, and closed his eyes.

He opened his eyes, took out his phone, and left a voice message to Jaken about clearing out his schedule and everything that could be done without a meeting.

He knew he would be communicating with Rin on the phone, but she was due to come back to work in a day, but he would make his presence known.

Everyone was back to their regular schedule.

Rin was back at work even though Sesshomaru said he would pay for everything, so she didn't have to work. But he understood his mate was human, and she needed this for her humanity.

So he decided he would come to visit Rin at work. Unfortunately, she couldn't eat with him, but she did serve him, and they had small talk when she served him.

"We have not spent any time together, Rin. Come stay at my place. I will make sure you get to your classes on time." He looks around annoyed and grits his teeth, "and to work."

Rin giggles, "We might be able to set that up."

"Rin!"

She turned around, and it was her manager calling her. "I will try to come back over here." She winks her eye at him.

Rin gets to the kitchen to see what her manager needs her for.

"Rin, do you think you could pick up more shifts? I know you only work three nights out of the week but is it possible to work Monday thru Friday for the next couple of weeks. We will have someone out for their vacation and because you were out, is there a way for you to cover?"

Just when Sesshomaru gives Rin that proposition, her manager comes to her with this.

"When can I give my answer?"

"The individual's vacation is supposed to start Monday, so you have over the weekend to think it over, but please let me know by Sunday."

Rin thought she would most definitely have to go over this with Sesshomaru. She was sure he would say no and that she didn't have to work herself to exhaustion for nothing, especially if he could provide for her.

But she did take that long vacation, and someone did deserve to have their time off too.

Sesshomaru stayed close until Rin's shift was over, he didn't have anything else to do, and he wanted to spend some time with his mate.

Rin waves to her other coworkers and walks up to Sesshomaru. She gets on her tippy toes to kiss him.

"You know you didn't have to stay here the whole time," she says, smiling.

"I miss you, and nobody can tell me I cannot be around my mate."

Sesshomaru opens the car door for Rin, and she gets inside. Once Sesshomaru is inside, he feels his mate has something on her mind.

He starts up the car and rubs Rin's thigh. "What are you thinking?"

She couldn't hide anything from him. "Well, my manager asked me if I could pick up more shifts?"

Sesshomaru switches the gear and drives off. He was annoyed by this because Rin did not need to do this.

"You don't have to do this, Rin. I can take care of everything."

She sighs, "And I know you will, Sesshomaru, but this is the life I was living before you came in it. We cannot keep going back and forth about this."

"But what about school?"

"It is only for a couple of weeks; it is not permanent."

"You will be exhausted, Rin...Will you come with me?"

"I was thinking maybe I should, but we can't do any extracurricular activities, then I will truly be exhausted."

"Hmmm."

"Plus, I know you will make sure I get to and from school and work, so I don't have to worry about that."

"I will always take care of you; just let this Sesshomaru know what your needs are."

Sesshomaru felt so proud. He was sort of getting his way. He smirked when he thought about everything he would do for her.

They would have a candle-lit dinner. He will give her a massage and feed her fruit. They will shower together...he would have her for dessert on the dining table. All of these thoughts caused Sesshomaru to rub Rin's thigh harder.

"Geez, Sesshomaru!" she giggles. "What has got you so riled up?"

He licks his lips, "When do you start these extra shifts?"

Her breathing hitches, "Monday."

From the side Rin sees Sesshomaru bares his fangs. "Then we shall play until then, my dear Rin."

Something about the way he said that made her want to throw herself all over him: his youkai spoke so much to her.

They make it to Rin's apartment, and she goes to pack a couple of clothes and any needed accessories. Sesshomaru, of course, thought this was a waste of time, but his mate insisted on doing this. He would have to get used to his mate wanting to do things at a slower pace than he.

He could get the job done with a snap of his fingers, but his mate would not have it. He admired her for standing her ground. He was willing to compromise with his mate, especially since he was able to convince her to spend the rest of the week with him.

Sesshomaru looked around the small apartment and wondered when she would give it up completely or come live with him when her lease was up.

Rin hands Sesshomaru multiple bags, and he looks at it questionably.

"What? I wasn't sure what I needed, so I brought everything."

Sesshomaru shook his head. "You will keep this at my home. I have already opened up space at my home and made a key for you."

As Rin locks the door to her apartment, "I may be moving in quicker than I thought. You will not give this up, huh," she says sarcastically.

"I can only try to persuade you, but it is your choice. I am just informing you I prepared everything."

They make it to Sesshomaru's estate.

When they walked into his chambers, she thought it would be a small space for her to put her things. But she had her own closet, and its size was massive. It was bigger than her apartment. She should have known better; he meant an entire living space. He did say he wanted her to come live with him.

Aside from that, there was the bathroom. Rin stood there blinking her eyes. She looked at the shower, and it had glass doors with a waterfall shower with a small sitting area. The tub was separate and stood alone. It was big enough to fit two people in it, i.e., her and Sesshomaru.

The counter space was bare, but it had two sinks. She could tell what side Sesshomaru used; it only had two things on it. She smiled and thought she would tear that area up with all of her stuff.

"Once I accepted you were my mate, I made space for when you decided to come live with me."

Rin with a hand on her hip, twisting her body from left to right. "No kidding."

She fell in love with Sesshomaru and knew they would spend the rest of their lives together, so maybe she should move in with him. Everything she could possibly need was there, and she could have her alone time in her closet.

It had its own desk area, chill area, vanity area (she barely uses makeup, which may collect dust?). But pretty much everything was here for her.

"Do not feel pressured, Rin. I understand you will like to take things slow, just know this all here when you are ready."

She walks up to him and wraps her arms around him, and he then runs his hands through her hair. She closes her eyes of how relaxing the touch felt. "Thank you, Sesshomaru."

He leans down to his mate and kisses her forehead. "You are welcome."

"Now, lets us go eat dinner, and after, we will shower together."

Rin blushed; he always managed to get her flushed when he talked about intimate times together. He was so comfortable with himself.

Rin takes Sesshomaru's hand, and they go down to the dining area to eat dinner. Rin couldn't believe this would be the life she would live with Sesshomaru. She thought she would be living off paycheck by paycheck and live her lifetime paying off school debts. Now she has a billionaire or trillionaire boyfriend. Either way, she was set for life.

She pointed out different things she saw along the way as if Sesshomaru didn't know they were there, but he hummed in approval because his mate was genuinely excited.

After dinner, they head upstairs, where they shower. Sesshomaru's hands were getting frisky. As he washed her, his hands would stay a little longer on her breast, on her ass cheeks, or rubbing in between in her thighs.

"I have to make sure you are nice and clean."

Rin moaned and bit her lip when he plucked her clit. "I thought your kind liked a little musk; you are removing the scent you love so much."

A/N: I am challenging myself because I have been slipping on this story and the last chapter I went back and forth but you all gave me words of encouragement and I am so thankful for those kind words. I did some outlining and I am not a big outliner, more of a freewriter. But, I jotted down some ideas I think would be good for the next five chapters and I hope you all enjoy them. If anyone has any suggestions...ideas let me know I can fit them in the story
