Fleur Weasley and her Gorgeous Werewolf Husband

Chapter One

1.1

Fear stirred in Harry's chest again. He had forgotten the inert figures he had left behind.

"Ginny, who else is dead?"

"Don't worry, none of us."

"But the Dark Mark – Malfoy said he stepped over a body –"

"They…" Ginny's voice was growing weaker and somehow Harry could feel the terror within her. Something was wrong. Maybe there wasn't anyone other than Dumbledore who had died but something had happened, there was no hiding it. "He stepped over Bill, but it's all right, he's alive."

Somehow Harry had the feeling that something far worse had happened to the eldest Weasley brother. The way that Ginny was talking didn't feel right and all of a sudden, Harry was struck with the memory of seeing Neville's parents at St. Mungos. Surely Bill wasn't that bad and if he was, well then the Weasleys wouldn't turn their back on him especially Mrs. Weasley.

"Are you sure?" he asked in an attempt to get more information from her.

"Of course I'm sure…" Ginny replied before bowing her head and closing her eyes, Harry was struck to see tears starting to fall down her face. "He's…he was bitten, attacked and bitten by Greyback. Madam Pomfrey says he won't – won't look the same anymore."

Ginny's voice trembled and Harry moved over to her and held her in his arms. He was about to try to comfort her but Ginny pushed her head into his shoulder. "It's a full moon tonight, Harry. Greyback attacked him whilst he was in his werewolf form which means that Bill -" she broke off sobbing.

"I'm sure that he's still Bill," Harry tried to reassure her but felt Ginny shaking in his arms. "What about the others? There were other bodies on the ground." Harry took Ginny's hand and they walked towards the hospital wing.

"Neville and Professor Flitwick are both hurt, but Madam Pomfrey says they'll be all right. And a Death Eater's dead, he got hit by a Killing Curse that huge blond one was firing off everywhere – Harry, if we hadn't had your Felix potion, I think we'd all have been killed, but everything seemed to just miss us."

Harry took steady breaths as they entered the hospital ward. He saw Neville in one of the beds seeming to be asleep and Harry had to hope that that was the case. In the far end of the ward Harry saw the group of his friends and loved ones around one of the bed. Ron, Hermione, Luna, Tonks, and Lupin all seemed to have steady gazes on the now-werewolf. Harry could see the fear in Ron's face but Ron was here with his brother so it wasn't a complete rejection of the wizard.

Hermione rushed to Harry and hugged him, "Are you all right?" she asked nervously.

"I'm fine," Harry said before trying to look around her to see Bill, "How's Bill?"

Nobody answered. As Harry finally saw the man in the bed he saw an unrecognizable face on Bill's pillow with slashes and rips that made him look grotesque. Madam Pomfrey was dabbing at his wounds with some harsh-smelling green ointment. Harry remembered how Snape had mended Malofy's Setumsempra wounds so easily with his wand.

"Isn't there a charm you can use to fix them?" he asked and Madam Pomfrey shook her head.

"No charm will work on these," she informed him, "I've tried everything I know, but there's no cure for werewolf bites or…for the changing into a werewolf," she briefly looked at Remus who avoided eye contact and then switched his focus to Bill.

"There are ways of controlling it, I will give Bill and his family whatever help and information that I can," Remus looked at Ron who was sitting rather uncomfortably with an arm around his stomach. "The most important thing is acceptance."

Harry looked down and then to Ginny before nodding, "I'm sorry. I also have to report to you that…Dumbledore is dead."

He saw the look of horror on the gathered faces as Remus dropped down into a chair. Harry saw a fear and loss of hope that he hated to see on his former-professor's and one of his father's best friends faces. He would tell them later what happened but there was too much shock, too much uncertainty in the room already.

1.2

After what seemed an impossibly long time, the doors of the hospital wing burst open and they all jumped back before trying to calm themselves to the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Weasley with Fleur tailing them, her beautiful face was covered with the horror and terror she was most definitely feeling

"Bill," Mrs. Weasley said as she darted past all of them once seeing Bill's mangled face. "Oh, Bill."

Mr. Weasley got nearer to the bed, looking absolutely horrified. He knew that soon his son's blood would be that of a werewolf's, he was already changing and there was no option of reversing this. He watched as his wife leaned over the bed and kissed her son's forehead. He knew they shared at least one joint idea. Being a werewolf didn't make it so that Bill wasn't there son any longer.

Mr. Weasley anxiously looked at Remus, "I…I, for Bill's sake…I can you tell us…anything we might need to know or to do to make sure that he's safe, to give him as good a life as possible," he said as his gaze went to Bill and how he looked but more what he feared he might turn into.

Mrs. Weasley took the ointment and very gently began dabbing at the wounds wanting the best for her baby. Harry looked at her before his eyes caught onto Ginny who was staring up at Fleur who seemed to have a frozen expression as she stared at Bill and was paler than ever before.

"Of course," Mrs. Weasley said, "It doesn't matter…especially his looks. His looks aren't important and there are other werewolves, I mean," she gestured to Remus before crying again. She shook her head. "Bill was a very handsome little b-boy…always very handsome…and he was going to be married."

Fleur froze again but this time she slowly looked at Mrs. Weasley, "And what do you mean by zat!?" she asked suddenly and loudly, "What do you mean by was, was going to be married?"

Mrs. Weasley stared at her as if she wasn't really grasping what had happened. She was starting to see Fleur as even more of an idiot as she had already that day. "Well -only that."

"You think Bill will not wish to marry me anymore?" demanded Fleur, "You think because of these bites, because he is a werewolf, he will not love me?" She gestured to Remus and Tonks, "You think my love is any different than theirs."

"N-No," Molly said in reply, "That's not what I mean but a wer-"

"Because he will," Fleur said with full confidence, throwing back her long mane of silver hair, "It would take more than a werewolf to stop Bill loving me! He loved me even though I have Veela blood and I love him still now he has the blood of a werewolf."

"And as for the way that he looks, that does not matter to me. I am good looking enough for both of us. All these scars show is that my husband is brave. And I shall do that," she added as she pushed Mrs. Weasley aside and snatched the ointment from her.

Mrs. Weasely looked at her and then to her husband before back at Fleur who was looking at Bill with still so much love and affection whilst cleaning his wounds for him. There was silence and Mrs. Weasley looked at her, "He was bitten by a werewolf which means -"

Fleur looked at her, her eyes growing stubborn. "I know what it means. You treat me as if I am a stupid, manipulative woman because of my ancestry but let me remind you that I was once in the running for the Triwizard Cup, do you really think that if I was as you think I am, I would be chosen."

"Well…Krum," Ron added despite it not being the right time to do so.

"Yes, well there are lots of ways to show intelligence," Fleur told him before kissing Bill's forehead. "And many many ways to show love."
