The weekend came and went, and Rin worked full-time hours for the past week. Which meant she and Sesshomaru saw less of each other.

Sesshomaru had made sure they spent every waking minute together until it was time for her departure. It was hard to let her go, but they will stay in contact, of course.

It was now the weekend again, and Rin had some free time. She was slumped with work for school, but she managed to get all but one assignment done. She was sure she would have it done before the weekend let up.

In the meantime, Sesshomaru was at her door, patiently waiting for entry.

When she opened the door, she saw Sesshomaru's eyes widen in surprise for a moment.

A blushing Rin says, "I take it you like what you see."

The couple decided to have a date night since Rin had spare time. Sesshomaru gave Rin his arm, and they made their way outside, where the limo was waiting.

As they walked out of the apartment complex, Sesshomaru looked around the vicinity and wished Rin would come and live with him. He supplied many expensive things for Rin, and he would hate it if any of it would get stolen from her. Or her getting hurt because such finery is in her possession.

But, he had to chop it up and wait patiently for his mate to make the right decision.

They enter the vehicle; Sesshomaru kisses her knuckles; she smiles.

As they made their way to their destination, they conversed about how their week went even if it was repetitive.

Although they talked through phone calls and text messages, it was nice to hear it in person.

They finally make it to the restaurant.

It was elegant and with a beautiful view as usual. Surprisingly, Sesshomaru had them seated around others. He usually requested private seating. But Rin thought that was more for his advantage than hers because he loved to feel her up.

The waiter brought them their champagne and poured their glasses. He asked the couple did they need some extra time to look over the menu. Sesshomaru looked over at Rin and shook her head yes.

"I take it that you like the setting," Sesshomaru says, holding his menu up.

"Very much, I enjoy our time alone, but sometimes, I don't mind people watching."

"Hmph."

The waiter returns and places their orders. "So, Rin, you only have a week left of doing these extra shifts. Are you sure you are not exhausted?"

Rin shrugged, "It is not as bad as I thought. I am surprised myself. I am doing okay with working and school."

Sesshomaru nodded, "I was becoming worried. I thought we wouldn't see each other."

Rin reached over to touch his hand. "I have missed you." She looks up seductively, "and your touch."

"Hmm, do not do that, Rin."

Rin laughs seductively. She looks over and sees the waiter coming their way.

"Foods here."

Sesshomaru growls lowly. He wanted to explore this little act Rin put on for a moment.

The two were having a lovely evening together, they decided to order dessert.

Sesshomaru figured it wouldn't be so bad to have dinner sometimes surrounded by others.

But he spoke too soon.

A surprise visitor appears as Rin was teasing Sesshomaru by seductively licking ice cream off her spoon.

Sesshomaru immediately smells the encounter, leaving a bad taste in his mouth. Sesshomaru's snarling made Rin look up in concern. "Something the matter, Sesshomaru?"

"An unwanted visitor is approaching."

Rin looked around to see if she saw anyone approaching. Suddenly a breeze hits her face, and then she hears a woman's voice, "Yo."

Rin looks up and sees the woman she saw at their family dinner in Tahiti. The same woman who came into their room while she was showered.

She didn't care about this woman nor any conversation she would give. Sesshomaru was hers now, and she didn't care for anyone from his past thinking they can waltz in their lives at any time. She couldn't help the glare she gave Sesshomaru as she had these thoughts.

Which Sesshomaru felt.

"What is it you want, Kagura?"

Kagura looks over to Rin and scoffs. "Good evening to you both."

Rin didn't say a word; it had nothing to do with her, to be honest. So she sat back into her seat and waited for the two to finish whatever conversation they would have.

Or maybe she should get up and leave.

It would depend on what is said, and Sesshomaru better follow suit if she did make that decision.

"Speak, Kagura; you are interrupting me and my mate's outing."

Rin looked at her ice cream. She no longer had the appetite for it.

"Hmm, mate." Kagura looks back over to Rin and looks at her neck. "She hasn't been marked yet, so I wouldn't-."

Sesshomaru growled looked over and saw Rin reach for her neck.

"Let's go, Rin."

Kagura grunts. "No, wait!" Kagura looked around the room to ensure she wasn't bringing attention to them. "I smelled your scent, and I thought it would be best if I told you the update on what my brother is doing."

"I still do not understand why you feel the need to update me on your brother's doings. Your loyalty lies with him, not me."

Sesshomaru looks over at Rin again.

The conversation was not making her uncomfortable because it regarded business, but the person relaying it; was annoying.

He wanted Kagura out of their presence, but he was also interested in what Kagura had to spill.

"We have had years, Sesshomaru, and I considered you someone close to me…a friend."

Rin shifts in her seating. She understood Kagura was there before her, and to make Sesshomaru feel less uncomfortable; she chimed in.

"I think you should hear her out, Sesshomaru. She did come all this way to tell you." Rin said the last remark with some sarcasm.

Sesshomaru nodded; Kagura needed to speak fast, or who knows what his mate would do or say.

"My brother has been extorting money from companies, and he has his eyes on what is...yours." She turns to look over at Rin. "And whom you say is your mate. He has his eyes on her."

"Tsk, is that all?"

"Yes."

"We are leaving, Rin."

Rin stands with Sesshomaru and takes her arm, and they walk away from Kagura. Rin thought it was best to ask questions when they were back at her apartment.

The ride back was awkward.

Sesshomaru seemed determined to get back to her apartment. She thought he might be frustrated with what kagura said about her brother wanting her.

They finally make it to Rin's apartment, and as they walk to her door, she tugs on his shirt. "Are you okay?"

Sesshomaru appeared to come out of his thoughts when his mate finally spoke, and he cut his eyes unintentionally too hard at her. But they quickly soften. "A little frustrated."

"Well, we will talk once we are inside," Rin says, taking out her key.

Sesshomaru nods.

Once they were inside, Rin began to strip her clothing to only her bra and panties. Sesshomaru's anxiety seemed to fade as he watched his mate undress in front of him with such confidence. He now wanted to show how much she was his obsession. He could not taste or touch her enough; he needed to be inside her.

He wondered if he should bring up the topic of birth control or plan b, but this would be out of his own selfish reasons. He wanted to keep this decision in her hands if she wanted to move forward. He wanted just to show her how much he wanted and needed her. It will show much deeper if she had his mark. He wanted her to know she wouldn't have to question anything with his mating mark because any demon would know who she belonged to.

That excited him.

He made his way behind her, wrapped an arm around her pushing her back against his chest.

He nuzzles into her hair.

It had been a long week since they last touched, but Rin wanted to talk more about the situation that happened tonight.

She felt bad about undressing in front of him, enticing him. It wasn't done intentionally.

"Rin," he says, now nuzzling into her neck. Rin breaks free from his hold and turns to face him.

"Sesshomaru, what is up with this Naraku?"

Sesshomaru frowns; what a way to kill the mood. A deep sigh leaves his lips before he answers. "Rin, I do not care for the matters of Naraku."

Rin puts her hands on her hips. Sesshomaru licks his lips. She just didn't know how damn tempting she was right now.

Rin then reaches behind her back, unclasps her bra, slides the garment down her arms, and throws it across the room. "What about me? Kagura said he wanted me."

Sesshomaru narrows his eyes and growls, and paces towards her. His arm snakes around her and pulls her to him. "No one will have what is mine. Do not ever question that!"

"Hmph," was her only reply.

Sesshomaru lifts Rin and lays her on the bed. He leans into the crevice of her neck and plants kisses. As much as it felt good, Rin had more to say, but that quickly faded when he started kissing and sucking on her favorite spots.

She no longer cared once his tongue and fingers moved in sync between her legs. They took turns pleasuring each other until they fell into a slumber.

Sesshomaru took Rin shopping the following day, spoiling her even when she protested she didn't need any of it. They had such a wonderful weekend together that Rin realized she forgot to write her paper at the last minute.

She jumped off the couch where the two sat watching a movie. She grabbed her phone and saw the time, 8 pm. Sesshomaru watched and waited for her to reveal what had her startled. "Omg, Sesshomaru! I didn't finish my assignment; it is a five-page report."

Sesshomaru doesn't say anything but feels guilty he had her tied up to where they both forgot about her assignment. He felt like he failed his mate because he was supposed to keep up with that side of her. He was selfish this weekend. He wanted to spend time with her.

But he could have set some time to the side so she could complete it so they wouldn't be in the predicament they were in now where he is watching being hysteric.

"You have to go, Sesshomaru!" she pulls at his arm, trying to get him to stand so she can walk him to the door. "You are a distraction."

Sesshomaru finally stood up and let himself be dragged by Rin. She lets him go and throws his jacket at his chest. Sesshomaru tries to bend to receive a kiss from Rin, but she just blows kisses at him and pushes him out the door. "I will call you later." and slams the door.

Leaving her very annoyed boyfriend staring at her door.

He heard her on the other side of the door say, "I shouldn't have agreed to spend time with him this weekend." She whines, "everything is ruined."

Sesshomaru's felt as if his heart sank hearing her words. He already felt guilty, but his mate expressed how she regretted spending time with him.

Rin finished her report; it was late. She picks up her phone and realizes she may have overreacted with Sesshomaru. She thought it was best to contact him in the morning. It was her last week to work extra shifts, so she needed as much rest as possible.

Rin called Sesshomaru the following day before she headed out for the day, but he didn't answer. He was always available to answer her calls, so she thought to try later. He may have been busy.

Sesshomaru ignored her phone call. As hard as it was to, he didn't want to distract her more than he already had. He put the phone down and tried his damndest to stay focused on getting ready for work. If he couldn't find anything to keep himself busy, he would find something.

Since it was her last week, he thought he should let her have her time.

Rin looked at her phone and noticed Sesshomaru still hadn't contacted her. She knew he possibly wouldn't call if she were at school or work, so he would wait until she was home. But, he didn't even send a text message to her, and it was several hours later.

So, she tried again during her lunch break, but nothing. "What the hell, Sesshomaru?" She began to worry, but she gave him the benefit of the doubt.

He is busy , she thought.

A couple of days later...

Did he break up with me? I knew I would be busy, but I thought he would at least see how I was doing throughout the day .

She even tried to justify the reasoning because he knew she wouldn't have time for him. But then she felt guilty because she rushed him out, and maybe she shouldn't have done that. Damn it , she thought.

But it didn't stop her from being irritated and annoyed at Sesshomaru for not answering her phone calls and texts. She looked at her keychain and forgot she had a key to his home. She decides to pay him a visit.

Sesshomaru was sitting in his office discussing some business arrangements with his father when he caught on to his mate's scent, and it was coming in fast towards his office. He hears Jaken, "No, Rin, you cannot go in there right now. My lord is in an important meeting."

There was no word from Rin, but he could hear her heart pacing fast, and she was in a very pissed-off mood.

Sesshomaru finally hears the door of his office open. Entering was his beautiful but irate mate. He was surprised she came to his home. The idea of her coming to his home appeared standoffish on her side. But he knew she didn't want to feel pressure to move in with him.

"What the hell, Sesshomaru! Why haven't you been answering phone calls or texts?"

"Rin. What are you—what are you doing here?"

"I just told you!"

Toga stands, "I will leave you two alone." Rin keeps her eyes on Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru watched his father step out of the room. He moves his eyes back to Rin. "Explain yourself."

"Explain myself? What has got into you?"

Sesshomaru closes his eyes and shakes his head. "Rin, you have a busy week. You should be home getting rest."

"So that shouldn't stop you from contacting your mate!"

Sesshomaru's eyes shot open. Yes, that appeased him, Rin calling him mate, but he was angry with her. She hurt his feelings. She could have shut down their quality time, but she blamed him as if it was all his fault as to why she got her assignment done later.

"I was busy as well…trying to keep Naraku away from my business affairs."

There was a silent moment between them until Sesshomaru spoke again. "You need to go home, Rin. It is late," he says, looking at his Rolex.

"You will not dismiss me. You said you would always make time for me, so what makes these last couple of days different."

"It is what you wanted, for me to not be a distraction. Is it not?" Sesshomaru leans against the front of his desk and folds his arms across his chest.

"A distraction? You are not a distraction, Sesshomaru."

"Hmph, I heard what you said after I left Rin." A finger goes to his pointy ear. "I hear a lot, Rin."

Rin confused. "What—what are you talking about? What did I say?"

"Us spending time together ruined everything because you weren't able to complete your assignment."

"Oh, that," she says with guilt. She forgot about that. She said something rude out of anger, but she didn't expect him to hear that. But since he did…there were some apologies in order.

"I apologize. I was panicking because I saw the time, and I didn't think I would finish it in time. It stressed me out."

Rin walks up to Sesshomaru, tugs on his shirt, and looks at him innocently. He wanted to be angry with her but couldn't find the strength to be mad at her anymore. His arms fall to his sides and then to her waist.

"Rin, forgive me. I thought I became a nuisance to you."

"You can never be," she says, reaching up to caress his cheek, which he happily nuzzles into.

"I am sorry Sesshomaru…I cannot lose you…I love you."

Sesshomaru's eyes lit up. "Rin, do you mean that?"

"Yes," she replies.

Sesshomaru removes her hand from his cheek and lifts her from underneath her buttocks. He leans in and whispers. "I love you." The gap closes between the two. Rin's hands find his cheeks, holding on to him firmly.

Sesshomaru turns and lays Rin on his desk. His kisses move down to her neck. She moans out his name. "I missed you so much."

"I have missed you too, mate."

The couple never notices the click at the door. Toga entered the room thinking things may have calmed down but quickly tip-toed back out. He should have known when he heard only movement in the room.

It was a good thing only Sesshomaru could smell Rin's arousal. Who knows what would have happened if Sesshomaru had noticed his father entering the room.

It would be a battle for sure.

Toga informs Jaken not to let himself or anyone else in the room until Sesshomaru calls for him.

Back in the office, Rin stops Sesshomaru from pursuing her further. "Wait," she whispers reluctantly.

He growls, "Rin."

"Let me apologize. You always take care of me."

Sesshomaru nods. He couldn't resist his mate asking innocently. He lifts off of her, and she slides down his desk. She gets on her knees, and her small hands unbutton his pants. She slides off his pants and briefs and then makes him sit on his desk and spread his legs open. His cock looked ever so lovely.

He smiles and lays his head down, falling asleep as well.
