Chapter 12: Inbetween

Artemis's POV

Ugh. My whole body hurts. What happened? Claw broke my spark, how am I still alive? I asked myself as I couldn't feel anything but pain going through my body. I opened and onlined my optics but everything was so blurry and moving so fast. Ratchet seemed to be running around as if scraplets were trying to eat his metal. "Ratch calm down, I'm fine, I'm just a little hurt, that actually wasn't as bad as I thought it could be. I'm clearly still alive." I said but no words came out or he was too busy to hear me. I looked over and saw Optimus was kneeling beside me and holding my hand tightly but I could not feel his grip. "Optimus you're worried too? I'm fine," I said with a smile as I turned a little

I groaned and moved my body and was able to sit up. I got up and looked down and saw my body still laying there. I glanced at my arms and noticed they were glowing a light blue and I had a white aura around me. "What is going on? No I can't die yet," I said as I looked around and saw part of the room was shifted to a bright white. "No! No! They need me. Ratchet needs me, he will not be able to handle this if I am gone. Optimus needs me! Arcee can't be alone and needs a sister to boss her around and someone to vent too. I can't go yet! Megatron needs me to knock some damn sense into him," I screamed into the void as if Primus could hear me before he sent me to join the all spark.

"Calm down and breathe,," a deep voice said. I looked around and tried to see where it was coming from. "It has been far too long, my daughter." I turned and saw a very dark blue mech standing there, he was taller than me and had two gladiatorial crests going down the top of his helm down his back. His optics were a mixture of red and blue. He had a marking of purple on his chest and a black mark over his chest to show where he was killed. Sire. My sire was standing in front of me, he looked just like the last time I saw him alive and when I laid him to rest. My breaths began to race and I took a couple steps back. "Artemis, breathe and calm down," he said calmly as he motioned with his hands. I looked over towards my team racing around trying to save me. "They can't save you alone," he whispered. "Artemis, he will save you, he has before."

"I know! I know they can't but they also cannot rely on Megatron to save me," I said as I looked at my sire. "Megatron swore to protect me and he killed my sparkling, he has almost made my lights go out forever, he let Claw do this to me." I said as I felt rage going through my body. "Ratchet also swore to protect me and if he loses another love it will break him. I can't see him broken again and drowning himself in high grade to numb the pain. Optimus has lost so much as well. They all have, having someone else on their team just die would kill them," I said as I watched my team run around at super speed. I looked over and saw my sire had vanished. I released a loud sigh and glanced down at the floor. "Ratchet, please," I begged as I clenched my fist. My body was beginning to feel so cold. "Please don't let me die like this," I said as I looked up towards the ceiling. "Optimus, please don't let me die like this either."

I then heard small footsteps coming towards me and I saw a youngling Cybertronian walking towards me. It was a young mech that was dark blue and had hints of silver, his helm looked so much like Megatron's as did his armor. "Primus, don't do this to me," I mumbled before kneeling down and looking at the young mech. "Hello little one, what are you doing here?" I asked as I looked around. I went to touch him but stopped not knowing what would happen if I touched him.

"I'm looking for my carrier and sire!" he said as he looked up at me. His optics were like mine but such a bright blue like Megatron's once were. "I found you though, and you look exactly like my carrier but are you my carrier?" he asked and my spark broke more. His smile was so bright and I wanted to hold him close and protect him from the war.

"What is your name, young one?" I asked as my voice cracked. Primus why? Why show me and Megatron's son? Why show me what I lost? Why show me what that bastard took away from both of us?

"My name is ummm… I don't know, no one has ever really asked me that question," he said as he rocked on his heels and tried to think of something. I stood up and looked down at him and he looked up at me. ``What would you have named me, carrier?" he asked me. I froze for a few moments. I never would have thought in eons that someone would call me carrier. "I mean when I saw my sire here a while ago he looked just as shocked as you. Did you both forget about me? Did you not love me?"

"Your sire and I thought of many names for sparklings but the one we liked the most was Kronos, after his sire and one of the best gladiators in the arenas on Cybertron and on its moons," I said before watching him vanish. "Primus, why?" I asked again as a tear came down my cheek. I glanced over and noticed Ratchet sitting beside me and holding my hand tightly before talking with Optimus, they seemed like they had lost hope for me. "Primus, if this is how my lights go out, let me speak to them one more time," I pleaded. I closed my optics for a few moments before feeling pain rush through my body.

I opened my optics and was hyperventilating and saw Ratchet quickly grabbed me and pulled me close. I nuzzled against his chest as he held me close. "Calm down Artemis, we will find a way to save you," Ratchet said as he rubbed my back. Or I thought it was Ratchet that had grabbed me but it was instead Optimus holding me close and Ratchet speaking. My spark was growing even weaker to go through a bonding process for one of them to save me. Bonding with me would only cause them to hurt more.

"Megatron," I mumble and look up at both of them as tears come down my cheeks. "We need his help," I said before coughing up some energon.

"I know," Optimus and Ratchet said in unison as they looked up at each other than over at my teammates as if expecting them to have a much better answer.

Oh and another thing I changed Chapter 10, it changes a little to the story but not a lot since there is still a love square or triangle with Artemis caught in the middle since I m very indecisive.
