Taylor Fearbrave and the Nightmare Files

This is my first fanfic, about a girl who, with some good friends, tries to retrieve a special treasure taken from her and her brother, I know its a bit like Sly Cooper when he was on the quest for the Thievius Raccoonus, but unlike Sly, my OC, is going into movies, and video games, that would give you nightmares, I only own my OC and this story, I do not own anything else. Done!

44. Sink or Fly

Taylor soon was at the lake, where the Fear Wave is. Her goggles soon vibrated, so she put them on. On the lens on her right had her face, while the left lens had Bentley. Bentley soon said while Taylor looked at the top of the tower, "There's the jetpack Carmelita was talking about, but we have a problem, Taylor. During your run for your brother's staff, the dynamo bulbs were the things Vin, Kit, Penelope and I were talking about. For when you go on the Fear Wave, the pontoons will start filling up, and if the water reaches the jetpack, it won't be able to fly."

"Then I better run as fast as I can to get to the top," Taylor said, she soon paused, and asked, "Although, I don't know why Nosfearatu puts the weapon over a lake only to have it destroyed? Maybe he's trying to make things easy."

"Yeah, well that's what worries me," Bentley replied. Taylor took off her goggles, soon ran to the Fear Wave, and her wake caused some bubbles to start below, Bentley soon said, "The Fear Wave's pontoons are starting to fill up with water! Climb, Taylor, climb!"

Taylor began climb up the stairs of the tower as fast as she could, more than halfway toward the top, the bubbles stopped, which meant the Fear Wave is going to sink, and water was beginning to get a bit close. Taylor at first thought she wasn't going to make it, but eventually she reached the top, she soon said, "Yes, made it!"

She quickly puts her staff between her back and backpack, strapped on the jetpack, and flew off, just as the Fear Wave had completely sunk down into the lake.

Sorry if this is very short, but now Taylor now has the jetpack, and is ready to take on Nosfearatu. What will Nosfearatu do when he finds Taylor, and will she defeat him?
