Nova could never imagine being a normal demon… Then again? That came with being the son of a princess of hell… And well, his father?

"Damn it, these damned pieces of…." Said father yelled and slammed his newspaper down. "They cost me big time today!" The bearded vulture like demon hissed out.

Nova brushed back his feathers and hummed. The slightly royal demon had the appearance of a more European eagle owl… He was slightly bemused under the golden feathers.

Then again? His mother did have two different parents, maybe mixed blood was a common trait in his family.

"Are you even paying attention!?" His father yelled and threw the newspaper at his son. Nova easily twisted his neck to the side.

The newspaper flew into the fireplace and burned to ash. Nova could only roll his eyes before twisting his skull around to face said father.

"Yes, and knowing you, dad?" Nova questioned and blinked. "Your probably get drunk… Again. Then go tell me you used to be something when mom was around…" Nova said only for said father to knock him to the ground.

Nova rubbed at his cheek as his father stalked out of the room. The crime boss didn't wear a ring and Nova found a ring. Meaning his mother had to be a one-night stand.

It made him wonder a lot about his father. He knew she was someone famous, yet Nova could barely find a hint about who this person was.

Still? While most kids would be furious and mad about not knowing their parent? Considering his father talked about how he wasn't expected? Nova was madder at his father for not caring about his mouth.

Nova decided to slip out of the house before his father stopped being sober… Not that he was much better when the man was sober.

Nova sighed and went to go pack his things. His father didn't realize he had guns and weapons, mostly to defend himself if he got attacked.

Nova could only question what his father would think if he knew he had guns. The man was a crime lord that was only just above Sir Pentious. If someone was that pathetic? Then Nova pitied them more then hated them.

He cracked his hollow arms. Another side effect of his appearance being avian. It amused him to no end to hear that… Still? It didn't help him fully in life.

His face contorted as his body repaired itself. Apparently, a trait he got from his mother.

Nova grabbed his backpack which contained the things he usually carried around on his person. He pulled himself through the window and landed on the sidewalk.

"Ok… Time to go find somewhere else to go sleep tonight." Nova stated as he slowly walked down the street. He looked over his shoulder and hummed.

The demon prince… Something that was really amusing considering how much his father claimed he was a king… His father, not Nova. Nova knew he was a footnote to his father. His father would like nothing more to end up being more than he was.

"Ow." Nova muttered to himself as he ran a feathered hand across his neck. His entire body stung. "Old man might suck at running a gang, but he hits like a damn train." Nova muttered and continued walking.

He looked far more tired then anything. He found it more interesting that the nocturnal demon was so tired that he couldn't find the strength to start fighting at the moment. He was far more exhausted then he should have been.

"Maybe I should find mom." Nova said and straightened his backpack as he continued to walk down the street.

Nova let a single yawn escape his mouth as he looked to the side. He rubbed at his tired eyes and blinked.

"Or I could drop dead." Nova muttered to himself while he leaned on a lamppost and clicked his teeth against the roof of his mouth.

Nova had no idea about the adventures that would await him… If he did? He would have allowed himself a quaint smile and a humor such.

Nova instead broke open a newspaper holder and started to read through things his teenage mind would like.

Phew. First chapter done! I want to ask that SOMEONE make a Helluva boss page so I can make this as a Helluva boss story. This also takes place before Helluva boss… And this is an Octavia x Male reader story. Next chapter might see Nova join IMP. Next chapter will be in 2-10 weeks and will show the next chapter or such.
