Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Avian Attraction. Enjoy the 2000-Word chapter. I don't own Hazbin Hotel, Viziepop and a few others do.
Nova slammed a fist into the demon who seemed to take being punched as hard as possible well at the end of the day. Then again? He was doing damn well as someone who didn't have a lot of combat skill in hand to hand. He dodged a punch that almost took him off his feet before throwing them down to the ground.
"This is a s**** amusement park," Nova said while he frowned to himself. "I mean, I know it's hell, but it's garbage," Nova added as he flipped his knife into his other hands.
"Damn it." Nova heard as he shook his head now. "Are you ignoring me?" Nova heard as he started to slip his knives through his fingers.
"No. I'm mentally preparing for what to tell management." Nova snarked as he frowned to himself. "I don't know what in the world this place does considering how decrepit it is," Nova stated to himself before he dusted his coat off.
He sighed to himself while he gazed in the direction of the princess and her father had gone. He was aware of what happened next when it came down to it. Nova was interested in WHY both needed more protection now.
He sighed to himself while he frowned to himself as he shook his head. He was rather amused by the fact that they did need help. Still? He found it rather weird, and he planned on talking to someone when it came down to it.
He was distracted by the demon before tackling him towards the nearest cart which shattered into pieces. He managed to slam the man's head into the umbrella next to him. It stopped them for a second as Nova slashed their throat. His claws dripped with blood as the man collapsed to the ground before he rolled his eyes and started to walk away. He rotated on his heel to see if the man had been defeated as he knew the man wasn't dead. It was easy to kill an imp or a hellhound since most of them hadn't the resistance to physical pain that most sinners did. He was still gripping at his damaged windpipe but didn't seem to pose the most throat to him as he had a few seconds ago.
"And that's why I didn't take him seriously," Nova said while he rolled his eyes and started to look around. "Ok. Where the hell are they now?" Nova asked before he cleared his throat and dusted off, he cleared his throat before he dusted to himself.
He was rather interested in what Octavia had been doing at the time. She didn't seem as powerful as her father had been which also made him wonder if there was a secondary reason he had been hired. There was plenty of people willing to work for a demon prince and the Goetia family WAS rather high in social graces which meant a LOT of people wanted to work. It helped that they were loaded to the brim with money at the end of the day.
Still? He had a job to do, and this wasn't going to be done anytime soon with the rate more assassins seemed to show.
"Kinda bit off more than I'll chew with siding with Viv," Nova said before he frowned and slowly started to sprint further into the park.
He looked around as he did so. There was plenty of time for more to show up and an army of assassins to show up. He wanted nothing more when it came down to it.
"There are more people in this ring than there are in any part of Earth. It almost made me wish I had more ammo." Nova stated with a frown as he rolled his eyes to himself and sighed to himself.
Nova placed a hand on his hip which ached a lot more than it had before. Part of him wondered if he had been sick from here, it was a crappy amusement park, and the idea that he had been poisoned by it really wouldn't surprise him considering where they had been at the end of the day.
He was honestly interested in how the hell there were so many bandits and thugs here. Sure, it was hell, yet this was still a business, nobody wanted to come to a place where it all fell apart and collapsed into nothing. It simply wasn't at all an option in his mind to let people in if they ruined all of what to do. This place had honestly gone to the dogs now, and it made him more amused than the pain allowed him to be. How did pain perhaps deal with this?
There was a lot of crap that he didn't want to do. This wasn't one of the things he wished to make one of them. He slowly shambled forward while he pondered what to do next. He was rather interested in how many times he'd need to protect the others as it came down to it.
He sighed before he rolled his eyes and drew his knife from his side. He wasn't to be ready for what happened today if he was honest. Nova expected someone to attack the Goetia, yet it wasn't to be on this scale.
Another cry forced him to glance over his shoulder and open fire at one of the monsters behind him. The soldier collapsed to the ground before he rolled his eyes and battered the imp to the side.
Another came at him with a blade and was greeted with a shot to the head which ended his life. He turned and stabbed another with his blade driving into their head horribly. He'd not do so yet he knew there were a few ways imps had become able to handle this properly. They were hard to end now.
He flipped the weapon around and left one of the monsters to die on the ground. He'd be more concerned for Octavia if he hadn't gotten her a weapon to protect herself with. It helped a lot that she seemed good at protecting herself.
She was not a person who couldn't defend herself. He saw it in her eyes when he stared at her, and it showed.
It honestly seemed so damn annoying to him. There was more to see, more to do. The longer he seemed to chase after the owl. The harder it weighed on him. The son of a wannabe crime lord and yet she was the one who hadn't been one to let him go. This became far too annoying for him to simply bother her with it. The longer he delayed with this, though? the more he was aware that he was letting her escape... It became too much of a chore for him at times.
Yet he was still determined to help. It became a lot more on his plate, and a lot more fun to deal with this scum if he was, to be honest. the harder the fight? The more fun he had with pressing his luck against odds which seemed a lot more against him than it was to be expected. This had to come crashing down sooner or later.
Nova sprinted into the twisted arena of steel and metal. This had become a lot harder than it seemed to be to hunt her deeper and deeper into this pit of hell. It had been a lot harder to predict what her next plan was to be. She was a lot craftier than she appeared. Yet he expected a lot more as of now to be.
"All of this place to hide and she finds the one cesspit that doesn't seem to want to bother us. Sure, seems as if we're on the wrong side of far too many soldiers for it to matter. Who the hell brings this type of firepower here anyway? Seriously, who the hell brings this many people?" Nova questioned with a raised eyebrow as he did so.
There was another surge of gunfire that made him sigh as he turned his attention toward the new enemies. He honestly wondered if the entire ring waited for someone to leave their house before trying to jump them and kill them.
It had been a lot harder for him to focus with all the damn people trying to kill him at this time. Then again? He probably wouldn't need to focus if they hadn't been trying to kill his boss, that was kinda how these things worked he believed at the time.
He was honestly curious as to what was going on at the time. this was going to be hell to pay at the time which was honestly an odd thing as of the second. He was waiting for something to tell him what the hell was going to happen.
Here he was dealing with scumbags who were considered the working class of the 7 rings. Honestly? It made him chuckle to see anything this way. He was honestly curious as to how this was going to go. It had been a lot weirder than he expected it to be. He was curious to no end, curious as to what was coming as of the second.
He ripped through the door in front of him, shattering the wood into pieces which almost made him tilt his head to the side.
Yeah, he questioned what to do as of the second and sighed as he slammed what was left of the door against the wall. He tilted his head before he rolled his eyes himself.
There was some perhaps amusement crossing his face. He couldn't tell, all he knew was that he was honestly interested in what was coming as this heated up. He had a lot more on his mind than simply figuring out what was coming if he didn't back down, he was going to be ready for it as of the second.
Still? He had a lot more on his mind when it came down to it. there was a lot more on the line than this as of the second. He was curious as of the second. He wanted this to an end when it came down to it.
He lifted his weapon towards her while he shook his head and aimed his rifle before he sighed to himself. He rolled his eyes and aimed down the door before spraying more bullets out the door and towards the swords.
He heard screams of rage and pain. It had been interested in what to do next. There were a lot of bullets to fire and a lot of moving targets in the way.
Still? If they wanted to die so badly? He'd happily give them what they wanted. It was part of what he expected either way. He was honestly enjoying this despite the snark at the second.
'How many idiots are going to die before they get the hint? Maybe 2 magazines worth? Maybe 50 as of the second?' Nova questioned before he tilted his head to the side.
There was a cry of pain and rage down the hallway as he turned and looked out the window and hummed to himself a second.
Octavia made him curious and yet she was his boss that had been in charge. He sighed and rushed down the corridor and into the room at the moment. There was more coming.
