COLONEL Casey arrived at the dock just as the Hovercraft came in. She'd been informed of what had happened and was anxious to learn more. More importantly, she wanted to see how Kayo was. As it turned out, Kayo was not in a good state. She was shaking and crying out of guilt and confusion. Rigby was doing his best to try and calm her down.

"I-I-I don't know how this has happened, Colonel," Kayo whimpered. "Our taser-guns are only meant to stun, not kill!"

"Shhhh, Kayo, there has to be an explanation for this," said Colonel Casey. "Don't beat yourself up."

"BUT I AM!" wailed Kayo. "I'M SUPPOSED TO SAVE LIVES, NOT TAKE THEM!"

"Kayo, this was an accident!" Rigby said. "The girl probably hit her head when she fell. I bet it wasn't even your device that killed her."

This didn't really help Kayo at all.

The three looked over as medics rolled a special trolley with a body-bag on it off one of the Hovercraft. Inside was Isabella's body. Kayo hurried over. "Please. May I see her?" she asked.

"Kayo, I really don't think you-" Colonel Casey began.

"Colonel - regardless of what's happened, I just want to…see her face," Kayo said defiantly. "Please!"

There were a few moments of silence as Colonel Casey, Rigby and the medics exchanged looks. Then Colonel Casey gave a nod to the medics to open the bag just a little bit. One of them slowly unzipped the top part of the bag to reveal the young woman's face. Kayo looked down at Isabella for only two seconds before she had to turn away as the tears came flooding out of her eyes once more. The medics zipped up the bag and began to move the trolley over towards one of the GDF Flyers parked nearby.

"I want a full post-mortem on her," Colonel Casey ordered. "I don't believe for a second that Kayo did kill her on purpose. We need to know the truth."

The medics nodded and headed on their way.

But for Kayo the torment was nowhere over for now the two brothers were being taken off one of the other Hovercraft and marched towards a waiting Prisoner Transport Van. Corey was still in a state of shock and was taken towards the van without even looking at Kayo. He didn't even seem to know what was happening. Heath on the other hand, fixed Kayo with a look of pure and utter hatred.

Kayo saw them and called over to them. "I'm sorry!" she said. "I didn't mean to-"

"DON'T SAY YOU'RE SORRY!" screamed Heath as he managed to shake himself free of the soldiers and he began to run at her with his hands still cuffed behind his back. "YOU KILLED MY BABY SISTER! AND NOW I'M GONNA KILL YOU!"

Kayo readied herself for the attack, however she didn't need to do anything for Rigby stepped forwards and punched Heath in the face causing him to fall backwards and land painfully on his arms. "You stay the hell away from her, scumbag!" Rigby spat. "You want someone to blame? Blame yourself for dragging her into your pathetic crime life."

The soldiers picked Heath back onto his feet. He didn't seem to have even heard what Rigby had said and instead spat in the direction of Kayo. "This isn't over!" he snarled. "I will not stop. I will not sleep. I will not rest until I have avenged my sister! YOU HEAR ME, GDF WOMAN! YOU'RE GONNA DIE FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!" He was then forced into the back of the van and after being secured in place opposite his still stumped brother, the doors were slammed shut and the van drove away to take them to a secure facility.

Rigby and Colonel Casey looked at Kayo. She looked very pale and like she was going to be sick. She turned away and began to walk towards a camouflaged Thunderbird Shadow which had been parked nearby.

"Are you going to be okay, Kayo?" Rigby called out after her.

Kayo paused. She didn't look back at them. "I don't know," she said quietly before climbing into her craft and taking off. She was in no state to fly it herself so set the autopilot to return her to Tracy Island. She had never felt so awful in all of her life.

Scott slammed his fist against the glass window and instantly regretted it for it was reinforced to protect the lounge from the exhaust of Thunderbird 1 whenever it launched.

"Well that was stupid of you, wasn't it, Scott?" remarked Gordon.

"Shut it, Gordon!" snapped Scott as he went back to Jeff's desk nursing his now very sore hand. "How, Dad? HOW?!"

"First of all, Scott, don't raise your voice!" said Jeff sternly. "And second, I haven't got a damn clue."

"I just can't believe it," said Alan, dumbstruck. "It has to be a mistake. Kayo can't have killed someone!"

"Not on purpose, Alan, that's for sure," said Virgil. "But it happened nonetheless."

Colonel Casey had informed Jeff about the incident with Kayo a short while ago and he'd gathered the entire family including Brains and Hayley to inform them of the bad news.

Brains was running his fingers through his hair, trying to figure out why it could have happened.

"Any ideas, Brains?" asked Alan.

Brains shook his head. "N-Not at this moment in time, Alan," he replied. "Might I s-suggest, Mr Tracy, that I give Kayo's stunner a thorough examination to see if it malfunctioned in any way?"

Jeff nodded. "Yes, Brains. We need to rule out whether it was our equipment that was at fault."

"And if it is?" asked Gordon.

"IT'S NOT!" Scott exploded in a rage making them all jump. "KAYO HASN'T KILLED THIS GIRL! I JUST KNOW SHE HASN'T!"

Grandma intervened before Scott could get any more out of control. "That's enough, young man!" she said. "You're coming with me to get that hand sorted. Hopefully that'll teach you not to lose it when you're mad." She grabbed hold of Scott's arm and ushered him out of the lounge to examine and treat his hand.

John then entered the lounge after having come down from Thunderbird 5. "What's up with Scott?" he asked having just seen his eldest brother leave with Grandma.

"He punched the glass and broke his hand," said Gordon.

"He hasn't broken it, Gordon," said Jeff sharply. "Probably badly bruised it though."

Hayley was deep in thought. "Poor Kayo," she said. "I can't even begin to imagine how she's feeling about this."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Kayo arrived back on Tracy Island with the hope that everyone would be in bed. To her dismay, they weren't, but Jeff instructed everyone but him and Brains to remain in the lounge as he felt the last Kayo wanted was for everyone to make a fuss of her, despite their protests.

Kayo's heart initially sank when she saw Jeff and Brains waiting for them. But when she saw that they were not angry, she felt a little more at ease. However, without saying a word, no sooner had she climbed out of the cockpit did she burst into tears once more with Jeff having to wrap his arms around her for comfort. "I'm sorry, Mr Tracy," she whispered between sobs. "I've failed you."

"Shhhhhhhhhhhh, Kayo," soothed Jeff, rubbing his hands on her back. "Never." He then reached to pull Kayo's taser-device out of its holster and passed it to Brains. "Get us an answer ASAP, Brains," he said.

Brains nodded with determination and hurried off to his laboratory to examine the device.

Kayo had gone to her room following her return and despite the best efforts of the brothers, she refused to let any of them come in and see her. She felt too ashamed of what had happened to even face them, despite Jeff having repeatedly told her they weren't mad with her.

"I give up," Gordon said to the others as they sat around the table for lunch. "She'd come and comfort any one of us. Why won't she let us do the same for her?"

"You know what Kayo's like, Gordon," replied John. "Kayo doesn't cope well when things go wrong for her."

Scott massaged his bandaged right hand. "Well something's got to give," he said. "She can't stay in her room forever."

"I know right?" agreed Alan. "Who else is gonna take The Hood and his Cabal? The GDF certainly won't be able to with their track record."

"If they ever show their ugly faces again," snorted Gordon.

"Guys, that's enough," said Virgil. "Let Kayo get on with it. She'll come out when she's ready."

"However long that will be," said Alan. "She won't let us talk to anyone. Surely it would help if she did?"

Hayley then had an idea. "Maybe it's because she has no equal here?"

The five brothers looked at her, confused. "What do you mean by that?" Scott asked, sounding slightly offended.

"Please, Scott, boys, I'm not trying to put any of you down," Hayley said hastily. "But what's the one thing you boys have that she doesn't?"

The brothers looked at each other. Clearly none of them had the answer.

"You're all each other's equal," Hayley explained. "There might be a few years between you all but you're all within a short age group. You can have man to man conversations with each and any one of you. You must have all had that at some point?"

The brothers nodded in agreement.

"Well then," Hayley finished. "Does Kayo have a woman or near equal age here to talk to?"

"Only if Lady Penelope is here," said John.

"And now there's you," Gordon realised.

"Exactly," said Hayley. "No disrespect to any of you boys because I love you all. Not the rest of you as much as I adore Virgil but you get what I mean." She stood up. "Let me try and talk to Kayo. she might be more willing to express her feelings to me."

"Good idea," Virgil said. "Good luck."

Hayley gave him a kiss on the lips. "Thanks," she said and headed off towards the bedrooms.

"Do you think she can do it?" Scott whispered to Virgil.

Virgil had confidence in Hayley. "I believe so, Scott," he replied. "I believe I do."

Kayo lay on her side on her bed. She'd hardly slept a wink for she couldn't stop thinking about the events on the boat and the image of the deceased young woman was extremely haunting. She was strongly considering quitting her role as a member of International Rescue and offering Thunderbird Shadow to someone she would consider far more capable than she could be right now. She felt sick and empty having not eaten anything since before Hayley had arrived on the island the day before.

She stirred when she heard a knock on the door. She let out a soft groan and ignored it.

"Kayo? Are you there?"

Kayo lifted her head a little. It wasn't a voice she'd expected. "Hayley?"

"Can I come in, please?"

Kayo rolled over and sat up. "Yeah…sure…"

Hayley pushed the door open and came inside. She stopped dead when she saw how ill Kayo looked. "Oh, my Gosh…" she said. She hurried over and threw her arms around Kayo who promptly began to cry again. "Heyyyyyy, shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It's okay," Hayley said comfortingly. "Nobody can hurt you here."

Kayo was still miserable. "Oh, Hayley. What have I done?" she sniffled. "I've let everyone down. I know Mr Tracy says I haven't but-"

"Kayo, we know what happened," Hayley said. "Colonel Casey told us everything. The girl took a shot at Captain Rigby and you fired your taser in self defence. The woman probably hit her head too hard when she fell."

"There were no marks on her head, Hayley," said Kayo miserably. "My taser was what killed her. I just know it was."

Hayley pulled Kayo tighter, continuing to give comforting rubs as she did.

Jeff went to see Brains in his laboratory. Brains had been up all night as well. He'd taken Kayo's taser-gun to bits and along with MAX had been running tests on it.

"Well, Brains? What's the verdict?" asked Jeff.

Brains scratched his nose and adjusted his glasses. "To be honest with you, M-Mr Tracy. I am t-totally stumped," he said. "I've checked the voltage and the mechanisms in K-Kayo's weapon up to five times now and the results were the same each time. It's f-functioning normally. There is n-no way that this could have killed the young woman on that boat. At least…not if she was healthy."

Jeff frowned. "What do you mean?"

"The electricity is very l-low voltage as you well know, Mr Tracy," Brains explained. "But if let's say a person with some kind of h-heart condition got hit by even a small blast of electricity, the results could be fatal."

Jeff grimaced. "I guess that's possible," he said. "But surely that still puts Kayo in the clear as there's no way she could have known about that."

"That is t-true, Mr Tracy," said Brains. "However, I will admit it's not something that I ever w-would have thought of when you got me to make these. I really had hoped that they would n-never get used."

"You and me both, Brains," agreed Jeff. "However, I would rather my boys and Kayo have them to use to protect themselves than be powerless against a dangerous person."

Brains glumly nodded in agreement.

Just then, Jeff's watch beeped. It was John calling from the house. "Dad, you with Brains?"

"Yes, John. Do we have a situation?"

"No, but Colonel Casey's just called in," John said. "She wants to speak with you urgently. It's about the incident with Kayo."

"I'll be right up," said Jeff. "You coming, Brains?"

"Of course, Mr T-Tracy," said Brains as he got to his feet. "I want to know the answer j-just as much as you do."

Upon returning to the lounge, Jeff and Brains found everybody there. Even Kayo, who Hayley had managed to talk into coming out of her room to see everyone. Kayo wasn't overly keen on the fuss she was being given, but it did make her feel somewhat better after having been shut in her room for several hours.

"Okay, Martha, we're all here," said Jeff. "What have you got for us?"

"I have the report on the post-mortem of Isabella McGinley," Colonel Casey said via the hologram from the table projector. "There were no physical injuries inside or outside the body that were discovered."

"Then how did she die?" asked Scott.

"A case of very bad luck I'm afraid, Scott," answered Colonel Casey. "She suffered a cardiac arrest."

A series of gasps and murmurs greeted this with Kayo's heart sinking like the Titanic. "So it was my taser," she said miserably, tears returning once again with Grandma and Hayley having to grab hold of her for support.

"Looks like your theory was right, Brains," said Jeff.

Brains nodded glumly.

"I still don't understand," said Virgil. "Our tasers are set to very low voltage. Enough to stun but not to kill."

"She had an acute heart condition, Virgil," replied Colonel Casey. "Even a little shock was enough to stop her heart."

Kayo felt even worse. "Well, I guess that's it then," she said. "I'd better hand in my resignation before you come to arrest me, Colonel."

Everyone stared at her in shock.

"What?!" exclaimed Gordon.

"Kayo, what the hell are you talking about?" demanded Scott.

"You can't quit for something that's not your fault," added John.

"OF COURSE IT'S MY FAULT!" Kayo shouted as she leapt to her feet. "I PULLED THE DAMN TRIGGER. I SHOT HER! SHE'S DEAD BECAUSE OF MY ACTIONS!"

"AND WHY DID YOU USE YOUR TASER ON HER?!" thundered Jeff, only raising his voice to make himself heard over Kayo's.

"Because…because…" Kayo sank back into her seat and buried her face in her hands before sobbing some more. "Because she shot Rigby. I just reacted."

"You were protecting a fellow comrade, Kayo," said Colonel Casey. "It's just very unfortunate that this was how it turned out. You are not going to be punished for something that's just an accident."

"You didn't shoot with the intention of killing, Kayo," added Jeff. "Like Martha has said, it was a tragic accident. Nothing more. Nobody here is blaming you and we never will."

"Nobody blames you for it," added Virgil.

Hayley handed Kayo the tissue box. Kayo took out a tissue and blew her nose. "Tell that to her brothers who have vowed to hunt me down and kill me to avenge her death," she said.

"Well that's not gonna happen," said Colonel Casey. "Even as we speak they are being transported to our secure Arctic facility. You won't be hearing from them ever again."

"I'm glad to hear it, Martha," said Jeff. "I hope that they pay for what they've done to those they preyed on."

"Oh, they will, Jeff," said Colonel Casey. "I can promise you that." She glanced at her watch. "Ah, I have a two-o'clock," she said. "Must be off. Take care of Kayo, you all. Casey, out."

Silence fell across the room as everyone looked sympathetically at Kayo. Not once could any of them remember seeing her in such a miserable state.

Located in the mountains of Alaska, far from any form of civilization was another of the GDF's maximum security prisons. Built deep inside the mountains it became known simply as The Vault, but that was only a title known by those in the know. To the prisoners and anyone else who knew of its existence, it was known simply as Hell. In the seven years that it had been in operation, not once had anybody been able to escape from it.

The McGinley brothers had been transported to The Vault where they were to be kept pending their trial. Heath had been examining every single millimetre of the cell in a desperate attempt to find a weak spot that they could escape from. This was annoying Corey who had finally snapped out of his shock but seemed unwilling to be of any assistance.

"Why don't you just give it up already, mate?" Corey grumbled. "Your constant movement is getting on my nerves!"

Heath rounded on him. "The fact you don't seem even remotely bothered at getting revenge for our Isa's death pains me, Cor!" he snapped. "The people responsible for stopping us and taking her life from us have to be made to pay! And I will NOT REST UNTIL THOSE GOALS ARE ACHIEVED!"

In addition to steel doors, the cells all had holographic laser walls that meant the guards could observe the prisoners without needing to close the doors. It was at that moment that two patrolling guards came passed. They saw Heath yelling at his brother and banged on the doorframe to get their attention. "Get back into bed, McGinley!" ordered one of them. "You're supposed to be resting!"

Heath snarled and tried to lunge at the guard. "YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO YOU FILTHY GAAAAAAAARGH!" He'd completely forgotten about the laser wall and got zapped by it. He screeched and was thrown back onto the floor with Corey jumping out of his bunk to check on him.

"All right! Enough!" snapped the guard. "Back into bed. Both of you. And STAY THERE!"

Corey helped his winded brother back to the bottom bunk, but although down, Heath wasn't out. "Help me…find…way out…"

"Do you not even know where we are, H?" asked Corey. "We're in the goddamn Vault! There IS no way out of here. Complain and be as aggressive as you like. It'll only worsen our situation. Now shut up and go to sleep, you stupid drongo!"

Heath cursed under his breath and lay on his bunk as Corey climbed back into the top one. Suddenly, he heard a yelp from above, then silence. He frowned and listened. The bed had initially been creaking and had creaked even more when he'd heard the yelp. But now all that had stopped as well. "Cor?" he said. He slowly scrambled himself out of the bunk and looked into the top. He froze and blinked in surprise. Corey was gone. "Cor? COR?!" he shouted. "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!" Suddenly a pair of white hands phased through the wall, grabbed him from behind and pulled him back through it. "ARRRRRRRGH!"

The guards who'd told him to go back to bed had accidentally left the microphone link open and so they heard the screams. They ran back along with a number of others who had also heard and looked inside. They all stopped dead and stared in disbelief at the now empty cell.

"What the?!" exclaimed one.

"Where did they go?" asked another.

"Contact the Warden!" said the senior guard. "SOUND THE ALARM! JAILBREAK!"

An alarm began wailing throughout the entire complex, startling the rest of the prisoners as it wasn't a sound they'd heard before. There was one inmate, located in the adjacent cell to where the brothers had been who was smirking with delight for he knew his information had been passed on.

All around the corridors guards ran left, right and centre whilst CCTV cameras were trained on every possible route and outside the mountain including several powerful searchlights. The siren was even sounded on the outside to warn those who were stationed out there that something had happened. It echoed for miles and sounded very sinister.

Rigby approached Colonel Casey's office having received an urgent call to go there. As soon as he knocked and heard a sharp "COME!" through the door, he knew immediately that there was trouble. He opened the doors and walked in to see the Colonel with her fists clenched and on the desk. She was looking furious.

"What's happened, Colonel?"

Colonel Casey stood bolt upright. She was seething. "Captain…The McGinley brothers have escaped from The Vault."

Rigby stared, thunderstruck. "What?! How?!"

"I don't know!" Colonel Casey snapped. "One moment they were seen in the cell together. The guards walked on, heard them yell, ran back and they were gone."

"Has the cell been checked?"

"Thoroughly three times!" said Colonel Casey. "It hasn't been changed in ANY WAY! And yet they have managed to somehow slip through our fingers."

"Escape from The Vault is supposed to be impossible though," said Rigby. "How the hell did they do it?"

"I wish I knew, Captain," said Colonel Casey. "Which is why I'm sending you out to lead the search for them. No aircraft or ground vehicles have been seen in the area so unless they somehow made it out of an air vent they'll be out in a frozen wilderness."

"Should we bring in Kayo?" asked Rigby.

"No, definitely, not," said Colonel Casey. "Those men have threatened to kill Kayo. I will not have her life threatened by a pair of lowlife scumbags such as them."

"With respect, Colonel, she's taken on The Cabal single-handed and although she didn't come out unscathed she managed to hold her own as much as she could," said Rigby.

"And her encounter put her out of action for a few months, just like you were, Captain," the Colonel reminded him. "No. kayo's in a bad place right now. She needs to get her head back together."

"But you are going to inform them, right?" asked Rigby.

Colonel Casey sighed. "No. They don't need to know about this yet. Kayo won't relax if she knows they are on the loose again. Those men won't make it far in that terrain. Find them, Captain, and put them back in their cage, the Kayo and the Tracy's will be none the wiser."

Rigby saluted and then left. He didn't agree with Colonel Casey's decision but knew better than to act against her commands.

For Heath and Corey, everything had happened at once. One moment they'd been in their bunks, the next they'd been pulled right through a wall and bundled into some large black sacks. No matter how hard they tried to get out the bags wouldn't split. They'd then felt themselves getting lifted off the ground and carried through the air for some considerable distance before being dropped down on the floor. Soon the bags were opened and they were finally released. They found themselves in a strange dark green room with three equally unusual people looking at them. A figure in a white suit, a woman in a strange silver armoured suit and a man with a face mask and techno-style suit.

Corey was quivering with fear at the sight of them, but Heath, ever the aggressor, wasn't one to keep his mouth shut. "Who the hell are you guys?" he demanded. "Where have you taken us?"

"Do you have to be so loud, Mr McGinley?" asked a voice that didn't belong to any of the three that were looking at them. The two brothers turned to look behind them as The Hood emerged from the darkness. Like Kayo and Rigby, he too had finally recovered from the injuries he'd sustained during his attempt to assassinate Jeff and got knocked out by a resizing Thunderbird 4 and was now back in his regular suit outfit. "To answer your first question, we are The Cabal. I am The Hood, you're new employer. These are Techno, The White Ghost and Silver Swan. And your second question, welcome to our little headquarters."

"How did you get us here?" demanded Heath.

"That would be these two lovely ladies right here," said The Hood, indicating to The White Ghost and Silver Swan. "Ghost pulled you from the cell. Swan carried you here in her talons."

"I didn't think swans had talons?" remarked Corey.

Silver Swan snickered. "I am a one of a kind breed of swan, Mister," she said mocking his Australian accent.

Heath got to his feet and stormed over to her. "Are you mocking us?" he hissed.

Silver Swan smirked. "Of course, mate," she said, still with the accent. "It's what I do."

Heath tried to grab her but she swiftly kicked him back down onto the floor.

"Now, now, Swan," warned The Hood. "Do go roughing them up too much otherwise they'll not be of any help to us."

"W-W-What do you want from us?" asked Corey, still shaking with fear.

"We're desperately in need of fresh hands for our little group, Mr McGinley," said The Hood as he walked around them. "And to help you both get what you desire the most."

"There's nothing you can give me that'll help me gain what I want, mate," growled Heath. "All I want is-"

"Revenge on Kayo Kyrano?" said The Hood.

The brothers blinked and looked at each other, confused. "Who?" they asked in unison.

The Hood brought up a holographic image of Kayo, which made both brothers tense up - especially Heath whose eyes burned with rage. "Her!" he growled. "She killed my sister!"

"I highly doubt that," said The Hood. "Kayo may be a pain in our backsides, mine more than most, but she's no killer, I can assure you."

"SHE SHOT HER WITH A TASER GUN AND IT KILLED HER!" roared Heath, jumping to his feet.

"Quiet!" barked Techno in his electronic modulated voice and held out his own taser stick to keep him at bay.

"I suppose you're wondering how we know about you and your sister's unfortunate demise?" said The Hood. "I have friends in low places and I'm always on the lookout for talent. You two certainly have that. I'd had you being observed during your many off-shore heists. Very impressive I must say."

Normally the brothers would have taken this as a compliment, but they were still unsure of what they'd gotten into that they remained silent.

"Suffice to say I was just as surprised when Kayo and the GDF were able to ambush you and take you out with ease," The Hood continued.

"That's not fair," protested Corey. "She came out of nowhere. We weren't ready for her."

Silence filled the room. Then the four members of The Cabal started to laugh.

"What's so funny?" snapped Heath.

"That's kind of the point of an ambush, McGinley," sneered Silver Swan.

The Hood cleared his throat for silence. "Anyways, Mr McGinley. I feel that you deserve some kind of justice for your sister's death. And we can help you with that. If you're able to succeed, you may join our little Cabal, and even get more power than you could ever want. You'd get technology that no other criminal of your stature could ever get - and nobody, not even the GDF would be able to stop you."

Corey really didn't seem sure about it, but Heath was determined to be a part of it. "Sign us up," he said. "If you know where that wretched woman is, point us in the right direction and we'll kill her - to end all of our problems."

"You will not kill her," said The Hood calmly.

Heath stared. "What?"

"I said…you will not kill her," The Hood repeated, sounding a little dangerous.

"BUT SHE CAUSED MY SISTER'S DEATH!" roared Heath. "I HAVE TO KILL HER TO GET EVEN, MISTER!"

The Hood suddenly shot forwards and grabbed Heath causing Corey to jump to his feet. "One - don't call me Mister," said The Hood, more dangerous than before. "I'm your boss now so that's what you'll call me. And two - Kayo is my niece. Whilst she's caused me great trouble I do not want her harmed in ANY WAY! All I want is for her to defect from International Rescue and join me at my side!" He let go of Heath and shoved him back.

The brothers were stunned by what they'd heard.

"International Rescue?" asked Corey.

"That's right," said The Hood. "Didn't you see her Thunderbird?"

"We didn't see any aircraft apart from the GDF ones," said Heath.

"Hmmm, it must have been in stealth-mode," said The Hood. "That explains how she was able to get the better of you."

"Well she won't a second time," said Heath with determination. "Once I find her I will-"

"You won't find her!" said The Hood sharply. "If you two even lay as much as a finger on her, it'll be the last thing you ever do! However…" he went on, more calmly. "I know of a way you can get your revenge without killing my niece." He brought up a second hologram image showing the five Tracy brothers. "These are the Tracy brothers who operate International Rescue. Whenever someone is in trouble, they go and help them. They are all very close to one another, and Kayo is a part of them. Abandoning me to live with them!" he said with a touch of bitterness in his voice. He then turned to the brothers. "Kayo took something very dear to your hearts from you. If you really want revenge, McGinley, then why not take something that means the world to her?"

The brothers looked at the image of the Tracy brothers. "You mean kill one of them?" asked Corey.

"Or two," said The Hood. "I believe the phrase is an Eye for an Eye?"

An evil smirk crossed Heath's face. "Hell yeah!" he said. "An Eye for an Eye!"

"But how do we even get them to come to us?" asked Corey.

The Hood smiled. "We have the means for you to complete the task," he said. "Techno?"

Techno used his wrist controller and two Wasp-Meccas came buzzing in from above carrying a large crate which they placed in front of them brothers. They opened it up to reveal a number of strange devices inside. One was large. The others were small. "My own creations," said Techno. "High-powered explosive charges with enough power to bring down half of a mountain. Secondly - we have a Thunderpulse. A supercharged bomb that has the power to blow even the toughest of machines to smithereens."

"And there's no tougher machine out there than a Thunderbird," finished Silver Swan.

Corey looked at his brother with uncertainty, but Heath looked like a child on Christmas morning. He was very much looking forward to using these in their revenge plan on Kayo. "What's the target?" he asked eagerly.

The Sikorsky Mine in Eastern Russia was the largest of its kind in the country. It was never silent. Workers went in and out day and night mining the many raw materials that had been located deep within the mountains where it was located. Teams worked in twelve hour shifts with changeovers taking place at 8am and 8pm. It was 8am on this particular day and the change of crews had just taken place. As the men and women came in and out respectively, none of them had any idea of the danger that was about to happen.

Thanks to some invisible cloaking technology created by Techno, the McGinley brothers had managed to sneak their way in through the main entrance of the mine at the base of the mountain and had placed five of the smaller explosive charges inside the tunnel and around the large lift shaft that took the miners down into the vast caverns and tunnels far below ground.

The brothers had found themselves at a high vantage point on a neighbouring mountain and were looking down at the opening to the mine.

"How much longer?" Corey asked.

Heath looked at his watch. "Ten more seconds," he said. "Five, four, three, two, one."

The reasonably quiet surroundings were suddenly shattered by a thunderous roar from within the tunnel as the explosive charges went off, blowing a colossal chunk of the mountain apart. Dirt and rocks went flying in all directions causing mass panic both outside and deep within the mine as the main tunnel and the elevator shaft were obliterated.

The foreman of the mine came sprinting out of his office before having to take cover to avoid getting crushed by falling rocks and debris. The rumbling and loud bangs seemed to go on forever but eventually it died down and those who were still on the surface were able to see what had happened. Half the mountain had been blown apart and massive piles of fallen rocks piled up all around the site. The main entrance to the mine was gone.

"PETROVITCH!" the foreman shouted. "VAT HAS HAPPENED?!"

"I DON'T KNOW, ROMANOV!" yelled another man. "BUT WE CAN'T CLEAR THAT WITH WHAT WE HAVE GOT! IT TAKE HOURS TO GET TO THOSE BELOW!"

Romanov swore under his breath as he looked at the devastation. "We got three-hundred trapped down there!" he said. "And there is nothing we can do about it!" He spun around. "Petrovitch, we need Thunderbirds. Get Thunderbirds!"

Heath and Corey had found they'd also needed to take cover themselves following the explosion. The devices were much more powerful than they'd even realised. "Crikey!" exclaimed Corey when he saw the devastation below. "If these small things could cause that, I can't imagine what the big one's gonna do!"

Heath grinned with delight. "Oh, I can, bro," he said. "And I cannot wait to see it." He looked out down the mountain range towards the ocean beyond. "Okay, Thunderbirds - we're waiting for you!"
