Chapter 2

Izuku and Momo were walking toward the arena discussing their plan of action.

"We're up against two members of class 1-B, Shiozaki and Tokage, we don't know what Shozaki's quirk is, but do you know what Tokage's quirk is?"

"From what I saw from the recommendation test it's something about breaking her body into pieces," Momo explained.

"From a glance, it's clear Shiozaki's quirk is something to do with her hair, but what it is, is still unknown." Izuku continued.

"Oh me and Uraraka meant to ask, what's with the red eyes?"

"It's high tech contacts that allows me to scan the surrounding area. To look for structural weaknesses or heat signatures allowing me to quickly detect if someone needs help somewhere I can't see." Izuku rather quickly summarised for his classmate.

Momo was slightly taken aback to think such a high tech thing could be condensed to this level.

"Back to the topic of this fight, we need to come with a plan."

"We can stick together to face any plan they come up with," Momo said.

"As it stands that is the best course of action." Izuku agreed as they arrived at the starting position.

The alarm rang signifying the start of the fight.

They decided to stick to the sides getting into an all-out fight without info is suicide.

However, this plan backfired, as an eye rounded the corner Izuku and Momo jumped out of their skin.

Before they could even react a tsunami of vines began flooding around the corner.

Izuku was closer so he was grabbed by the group of vines that began pulling him toward the centre, Yaoyorozu was still in a state of shock before she quickly got her bearings and began giving chase.

Suddenly the moving sensation Izuku was feeling stopped, he was stuck in a ball of vine.

Yaoyoruzu saw what her teammate had been captured by.

"This is our win!" Tokage said already calling the match.

Izuku opened his hand and raised it up toward the sky.

Yaoyorozu smiled. "This is a bad matchup for you."

"Huh?"

Muffed words were shouted within the vine ball. "FIREBOLT!"

As those words passed the green-haired man's mouth the vines around Izuku burst open with flames pouring out.

Shiozaki let out a scream of pain as her vines were burnt away, quickly she broke them off.

Tokage retreated to where Shiozaki was in hopes of developing some form of plan.

"The flames of a devil."

"Yep, so let me take care of him, I'll leave Yaoyorozu to you."

The two girls gave a nod to each other before rushing their foes.

Izuku didn't have any time to prepare as the girl broke apart and surrounded him.

"FIREBOLT!"

Raising his right hand he shot flames toward one of her pieces but she moved it out of the way before it could reach her.

She shot one of her pieces at him but he managed to dodge.

'Her pieces are small and she can move them faster than my flames. The only way to hit her is by catching her off guard but how?" Izuku thought as he raised his right hand again.

Only to lower it and dodge another piece flying at him.

Yaoyorozu created a sword and shield to block and cut through the vines, even still the girl kept sending more. There was no end to the amount this girl could send, it was only a matter of time before Yaoyorozu was overwhelmed by the vines.

And she couldn't even counterattack as the vine user was up in the air being suspended by the vines.

Dodging and cutting, Yaoyorozu had a thought.

Dodging the next few vines she threw her sword toward the vine user.

Quickly Shiozaki retracted her vines to block the attack.

As she moved her vines to continue her onslaught, she noticed the girl was gone.

Out of nowhere a small black ball was thrown at her, she raised her vines again to stop it but was met with a loud bang.

Shiozaki felt a rush of pain as she looked to see a massive hole in her vine guard.

"Impact grenades!" Yaoyorozu shouted at her attacker.

Three more were then thrown, Shiozaki then created more vines to compensate for the amount she had lost.

Yaoyorozu created 5 grenades but because of this, she was lacking the energy to properly move so this was a gamble.

Shiozaki used the new vines to block the grenades.

But she didn't notice the two more grenades thrown after the other 3.

She saw them coming through the newly created hole in her vines and managed to stop it but the last one made it through.

She barely managed to stop it with the bare minimum vines resulting in her being blasted back into a building.

Yaoyorozu was struggling to still standing due to the lack of lipids in her body but wasn't about to just give up now.

As she was about to head over to where Izuku and Tokage were fighting she was grabbed by vines.

Shiozaki had gotten back up.

While Izuku was struggling with keeping up with the lizard tail splitter user, Shiozaki yelled toward her teammate.

"I have captured Yaoyorozu!" As he was dragging her off.

Izuku's eyes widen as did Tokage's smile.

He raised his right hand but Tokage saw it coming and moved her pieces out of the way.

"FIREBOLT!" He shouted as he raised his left hand toward the vine user.

Tokage was caught off guard by this but took the opportunity to punch him in the side, winding him in the process.

The flames consumed the vines around Yaoyorozu freeing her from the girl's bindings.

Causing her to fall from quite the distance.

Tokage decided to retreat to Shiozaki to check up on her while Izuku was recovering from the punch.

Izuku on the other hand was struggling to breathe but made his way over to Yaoyorozu to make sure she was okay.

When he arrived she was struggling to stay awake due to the lack of energy in her body.

"Win this, okay?" She managed to say to the teen.

"Okay." Izuku agreed.

'I have to win for her.' Izuku thought.

'She fought to give me a chance, I can't just give up now.'

His right hand began sparkling with the light.

Tokage and Shiozaki decided to rush Izuku as he was now alone due to Yaoyorozu struggling to stay awake and could barely move.

Izuku raised his right hand as a spilt up girl and a mountain of vines began flying toward him.

The sound of a bell rang out, loud enough that even the people in the spectator room could hear it.

"FIREBOLT!" He shouted as a beam of bright light shot toward the flood of death coming his way.

Shiozaki in the last moment grabbed as many of Tokage's pieces as she could to avoid the "Beam of God."

The bright light consumed the entire arena for a few seconds as everyone that became able to see it were paralyzed with shock.

As the light dissipated the havoc Izuku made was revealed.

Shiozaki's vines were completely destroyed and she was blasted into another building causing her to be knocked out.

Tokage's pieces were all over the place as she was unconscious inside a different wall.

Yaoyorozu who was still awake was in shock by the sheer amount of damage created by the blast.

And Izuku had passed out due to overuse of his quirk.

"Team Midoriya and Yaoyorozu wins!" All Might shouted into the mic piece before some robots came and picked everyone up.

With the first match over the rest of the students stood in shock.

"Quite the first match, huh." All Might chuckled.

Turning over to the 2 classes. "So who was the MVP of this match?"

Kendou from class B stepped up.

"Shiozaki was the MVP."

"Would you care to explain why that is?"

"At the start, she managed to capture Midoriya and separate him and Yaoyorozu. Then once she realised her bad match up with Midoriya took on Yaoyorozu. Also even after taking an explosive she kept her composure and captured Yaoyorozu. Following up after that as the white beam of light Midoriya used she focused on moving Tokage's pieces away to protect her."

"Exactly, correct young Kendou."

"Thank you, sir."

"Now onto the next match. Itsuka Kendou and Juzo Honenuki vs Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo. Please head to the starting points."

As the two heavy-hitting class A members walked toward the starting point only one of them said anything.

"Stay out of my way." Bakugo said rather calmly.

Nothing else was said between the two.

Shortly after they arrived the alarm went off.

Bakugo blasted off without caring for his partner.

Todoroki was keeping up with him.

Quickly they came across the other team, as Todoroki got closer he got stuck in the ice, he looked forward to see Juzo turning his ice into mud.

Bakugo made a beeline for the "Mud eater" hoping to take him as quickly as possible, failing to notice Kendou who popped out from around a corner and punched him in the gut knocking him back quite a bit.

Bakugo was knocked into the mud forcing him to release a large explosion in the mud to blast him and accidentally Todoroki out of it.

Todoroki using his newfound freedom sent a large amount of ice at his two opponents, Bakugo on the other hand blasted his way toward them.

Only for the ice and the hot-headed teen to clash with each other.

"I thought I told you to stay out of my way!" Bakugo yelled at the teen.

Todoroki simply let out a breath which could be seen as the drop in temperature was drastic.

This made Bakugo even angrier as he launched himself at Juzo taking the teen out fairly fast.

Kendou began rushing Todoroki in hopes to take him down before he could do anything but was stopped by some ice encasing her feet.

"Team Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki wins."

Later That Day.

As he opened his eyes he was immediately blinded by the orange sunlight coming in through the window.

He sat up and looked around and noticed he was in the nurse's office.

Looking to his right he saw Yaoyorozu sound asleep, He kept staring for what felt like an hour till a voice broke him out of his trance.

"See something you like?"

Izuku jumped out of his skin and turned around to face the voice only to be met by Tokage's gaze.

"Ahh uh n-no." He quickly stammered out.

Looking past the green-haired teen he saw Shiozaki out cold as well.

"It's fine I won't tell~" Tokage said with a massive smile on her face.

"Any way that quirk of your's is something else." She continued.

"Oh thank you."

"What was that light thing anyway?"

"Honestly, I don't know."

"Huh?"

"The first time I used it was at the entrance exam, this was the second time."

"What the hell, I got beaten at a guy that doesn't even know how he did it." She said sounding somehow dejected.

Izuku heard the bed behind him shuffle and turned to see Yaoyorozu just waking up now.

She looked around and was slightly taken aback when she realised this wasn't her bed.

She quickly saw the two green heads staring at her.

"Were we being too loud?" Izuku asked.

Tokage simply shugged.

"Yes, yes you were." The voice of Shiozaki said having been awoken by the two teens conversation.

Shiozaki sat up and looked at the three. "What was that about your quirk?"

"I don't know how I used it?"

"You do know we have a quirk counsellor?"

"We do?" The two Class A members looked over to her.

"Ohhh yeah, Vlad told us about that yesterday." Shiozaki looked at Tokage with sheer disappointment.

"Do you know who it is?" Izuku asked.

Before she could answer the door slid open to reveal to Recovery Girl and All Might.

"Glad to see you're all up." The older woman said.

"Great job all of you, you all gave your everything in today's training, I'm proud of you all."

All of the teens looked very happy to be told this by All Might of all people.

Except one: Izuku looked uninterested with the top pro.

Quickly the teen picked himself out of the bed and walked toward the door hoping to get out of there as fast as he could.

But a hand on his shoulder stopped him. "I really am proud of you."

Izuku turned to face the hero and smiled "Thank you."

Quickly he left the room.

'Midoriya.' Was Yaoyorozu's last thought before he left.

The UA Male Bathroom.

The sound of retching echoed off the walls.

Coming from one of the cubicles.

One of the students was vomiting nothing but stomach acid.

Hey, this is by far the fastest I've uploaded a chapter but I really enjoyed writing this.

Anyway onto new news, For fans of The Shadow's Light the next chapter is almost done but I'll be uploading it around new year's day.

When I first planned to make this Yaoyorozu was not nearly this prominent but I think she fits this story so be expecting her to pop up more.

The next chapter is a calmer one so look forward to that.
