When you speak to yourself, you learn what you have long forgotten.
It is common to ignore the other voices gnawing at you and move forward without care for the danger they foretold. This is true for both people and civilizations, though perhaps they aren't much different at all.
Perhaps those truths are not what you wish to hear. My past self would be horrified to speak to the shell that wanders the present. But we are one in the same, no matter how much I pray for a lie.
