"What do you reckon, Doctor? How bad is her condition?"

"Her condition is indescribable, sir. I've never seen anything like it before. I'm not sure if we can even diagnose what's wrong with her. It's like her entire body is on the verge of phasing out of existence entirely."

"Is there nothing to be done for her?"

"Without knowing anything about her, I honestly cannot say what cure we could even try on her, let alone create one."

"Well, do whatever you can."

"Yes, sir."

Laura slowly began to open her eyes. She was lying in a bed. A hospital bed it seemed. She was in a side room by herself, except for two other people. One was wearing a white lab coat, the other a smart suit. As hazy as everything seemed, she noticed the man in the white coat leave through the door whilst the man in the suit stayed behind. He turned and noticed she was waking up. Instead of calling the man back, he walked over.

"Ah, you're waking up at last. Good."

Laura felt sick and a bit light-headed. She didn't have the energy to even sit up let alone try and phase through the bed to escape. "Where…Where am I?" she asked weakly.

"It's okay. You're safe," said the man. "Nobody will find you here."

"Where is here?" Laura asked. "And who are you?"

"Grafton Industries Medical Division. My name is Warren Grafton. And I believe you and I can help each other."
