I am stealing something from Rejected Stones, a fantastic Quirkless Izuku Story... check it out, it is a real inspiration...
What I am taking is the diagnosis for Bakugo... at least part of it. He reminds me of my father, so he will have two diagnosis.
The USJ Incident is going to go... in a fun way, for me anyway... mwahahaha.
I am updating the last chapter, I was really tired when I wrote it, so expect some changes... just saying. Only one plot point at the end of the chapter, but some important filler in the begining. You'll see what I mean.
It was a rare thing for the Number One Hero to feel so... hurt, but boy had Inko Midoriya managed to rip open a wound in his soul as painful as as the one on his chest, the one All for One had given him. Even now, as he went on his daily pursuit of justice, aiding any hero and stopping any crime he could, her cold but impassioned words burned into his mind and echoed across his conciousness.
"I am not sure I can forgive you, All Might."
He gaped at her, not entirely sure what to say. It was startling to hear, especially after Young Bakugo and his family had been escorted off of the campus, the women as he far as he knew had no qualms with him or reason to forgive him in the slighest. "What have I done, may I ask, to warrant forgiveness?"
Her eyes, warm and beautiful as her son's, turned dark and unflinching. " Aside from leaving him son on a roof, after crushing his dreams? Aside from ignoring the genuine risk he had health wise after having a living being made of slime shoved into his windpipe? Aside from offering not a word of comfort to a boy who had just been assulted. Aside from not reporting his attack to the police, or his mother or anyone else?"
He gaped. "Oh..."
"Yes, oh. The truth, simple as it is, is that you failed Izuku entirely... and yet it was your suggestion that he become a cop that got him to finally grow past his obsession with you, with becoming you, and do what he can to better himself on his own level." Her eyes softned a little here. "He used what you said to become better and yet he loathes you, for so callously and falsely claming that he had no chance to become a hero."
The mighty hero sighed and put his head down. " I offer no words to make up for what I said, or did... and didn't do. What I can do is say this, I was wrong. I am human and I allowed bitterness I wasn't entirely aware was there to cloud my judgement. I should have taken him the hospital or something, called an ambulence or something... you are right to hate me, or whatever it is that you feel. I will not argue against that."
Nezu, who had bee silently watching, made an odd chirping sound. "Oh that reminds me, we need to have a serious discussion on how one takes care of a civilian especially a child, especially after an attack. Over tea, of course. I do belive Aizawa would like to be a part of that discussion, he seemed quite impassioned about it."
Hiding his groan, All Might nodded. "Yes sir."
This was going to last for hours, he just knew it... but he would not complain, he had screwed up and if this was his punishment then he would gladly take it. He screwed iup, and he needed to pay a price.
It wasn't an automatic thing, the pain he felt from her words, but the longer he had them in his soul the more they hit home. He had really messed up, he was lucky Izuku had not tossed himself off of the building, the suicide rates for Quirkless teens was thirty percent, a massive number all it's own. Mixed with the abuse he now knew the boy had endured...
They were all lucky the boy was still around, he was going to be a fantastic hero... with or without All Might's care.

"Today's training will be a little different. You'll have three instructors. Me, All Might, and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you." Aizawa's words had a profound effect on the entire class, Izuku was no exception.
He wanted to vibrate with excitement, this was going to be a real challenge. This was why, in part, that he worked so hard on First Aid. Strategy and fighting skills meant nothing here, this was a different field entirely. He could not wait to get into it, it would change his entire persective, he knew that.
"Sir! What kind of training is this?" Sero asks raising his hand.
"Rescue. You'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, stuff like that," Aizawa says holding a white card that says rescue in blue on it.
"Disasters, huh? Sounds like we're in for a big workout," Kaminari comments.
"Totally!" Ashido cheers.
"Real hero stuff. This is what separates the men from the boys. I'm shaking with excitement," Kirishima adds.
"Finally, I'll get to show off how good I am in water. Ribbit," Asui comments.
"Guys, I'm not finished yet," Aizawa says making the class go silent. "What you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know you're excited about costumes but keep in mind that you haven't gotten used to them yet, and they might limit your abilities. This special training's at an off-campus facility, so we'll be taking a bus to get there. That's all. Start getting ready," he adds before walking off.
Shivering, Izuku knew what he had to do... 'I'm bringing a notebook, there is no way I won't really get a grip on this. It means far too much for me to just pass by. I aim to save lives, to make a difference. I need to master this, to become great... I will be great here.'
:::
It was nice, to watch his classmates dress in their Hero costumes. Personally, he was in his PE clothes with gloves, elbow pads, knee pads, and the weapons he normally had with his hero costume. Of course his utility belt had been changed, a gift from Recovery Girl it seemed according to the Note she left. She knew why he worked so hard on First aid, so she put some extra First Aide stuff into a new utlity belt that she had personally had Power Loader build for him. It was a rare kindness, one he had not seen coming...
"Izuku? Why are you wearing your PE clothes? Where's your costume at?" Uraraka asks.
"You saw it after the combat training. It was kinda trashed. I'm still waiting on the support company to fix it up," He replied. "Bakugo blew it to hell, and some of it fused into my body so they basically tore it to shreds to get it off of me. While I was recovering, I drew up some adjustments. Rubber insoles, underarmor for explosions... I may hate how I came to figure it out, but I really undervalued by costume's purpose. "
Iida suddenly blew a whistle. "Gather round, Class 1-A! Using your student numbers, form two neat lines so we can load the bus efficiently," Iida yells at the class.
"Iida's kicking it into high gear as our class rep, huh?" Izuku asked, amused with the overly serious boy's expression.
'''
"So, how does this work?" Bakugo asked, all but throwing himself into his chair. The man before him, Hound Dog, radiated power. Not the kind that All Might did, that left him feeling impervious to harm, but a more subtle kind that left Bakugo all too vunerable to be his normal self. "Do we sing and hold hands, I am not changing who I am for anyone."
To his shock, the giant of a man laughed. "You really are cocky, there were right... let me tell you how this is going to work. You will be here every day for two hours with me, then you will train with Present Mic to control your power output. You are too used to being violent with your Quirk, he knows all about that risk so he is the best person to help you with that.
As for what you are doing with me, we will talk and we will see if we can find out the faults in your thinking. I already had you fill out some paper work, and your parents did the same. What you may not know is that you did so while under the effects of a Quirk. One that was used on you yesterday after your brain scan. Actually you filled out the same paper work twice, once before the Quirk, once after. It revealed a lot about you really, almost as much as the brain scan."
Bakguo froze. " What Quirk?"
" A friend of mine, another counselor and semi retired hero. Their name isn't important, what is important is their Quirk. It is sort of like a trance inducing quirk, one that forces the person it is used on to be open and honest. They used their powers quite a bit to help traumatized people move past the mental blocks they set up. In your case, your lack of cooperation was a serious block, so we moved past it. We do not have time to hold hands, not if you really want to be a hero."
He felt violated, gross and wrong... but also curious. "And what did my results say?" He asked through gritting teeth. This was too important to explode on the man, his future was in the Beast's hands...
"I will give you the... laymans interpretation. You are antagonistic, unable to make healthy bonds with peers, have a delusions of grander, and inability to accept any type of failure, cannot calm yourself when exposed to stress, interpret any sign of kindness as weakness or being looked down on... you struggle with emotional regulation, self expression beyond agression and live in a constant state of rage or pride. I have two diagnosis for you. The First is Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which is a mixture of biolgical and the way your previous school hyped you up without offering criticism or consequences. The other, and more concerning when one considers your Quirk, is IED or Intermitive Explosive Disorder."
He gulped, unsure for once. "What does that mean, the second one. I can guess on the first."
"It means you cannot regulate your temper, your always angry... and there are physical symptoms you admitted to, like frequnet headaches for example." Katsuki nodded, feeling... exposed but also... sort of happy. "You will be prescribed medication for both, moodstabalizers mostly, and possibly an anti anxiety medication. It will make you drowsy for two weeks or so, enough time for you to be at a healthy state by the time you are allowed back into school."
"Will it change me? Make me... wrong, zombie like?"
Hound Dog shook his head. "No, like I said it will make you tired for a short time as you adjust, but it will take the edge off of your temper and help regulate your moods since you are not entirely capable of doing it yourself. When we examined your brain, we noticed that the parts regulating temper are damaged, the parts regulating logic are not as active... the truth is, you are not entirely responsible for anything you've done, but if you don't change or try to change, then you are. You almost killed a boy, a classmate... I hope you can see how serious this is and why you should work on healing your mind, if you don't you will become a monster, a real threat to society. I hope that never happens, with your power and intelligence, you would be have to be killed to stop..."
Those words, if nothing else, stalled any rage within Bakugo, and so he nodded...
Not wanting to be drugged up but unwilling to be killed or worse...
"""
"The bus's open layout ruined my boarding strategy," Iida sulked like a child, making Izuku chuckle.
"Iida, you really need to chill." Ashido said, her laughing at him.
"If we're pointing out the obvious, then there's something I wanna say... about you, actually," Asui says turning to face Izuku.
"About me? What is it, Tsu?"
She smiled at him. "How are you so good, I mean I am not judging your lack of a quirk but you are scary good. Even Midnight, an expert in martial arts, was impressed. Have you been training your whole life or something?"
He laughed. "Not at all, about a year is all. I started ten months exactally before the exam, and it's been two months since then so a full year give or take a few days."
Kirishima made a loud sound, as did a few of the others listening in. " Wow, just a year? You were amazing, seriously you've got moves, man. I wish i had something to fall back on like that, I mean My hardening's super strong and can destroy bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive. Having something flashy and impressive would really help." he says, as he shows off his quirk, his arm hardening into rock. Izuku felt a surge of something wash through him, he liked power... guy or girl girl, it really didn't matter who it was one.
And Kirishima was nice and handsome, so... maybe he would look into that...
Later.
Smiling, he gave the boy his full attention. " No way, I think it's really awesome looking. You're definitely pro material with a quirk like that but if you wan to learn how to fight, I am helping Iida, Tsu and Uraraka train in combat and parkour after school every day. I could teach you how to do some things, and help you find a style to complement your powers. "
The boy beamed at him. "That'd be great! What style do you use?"
It wasn't Izuku who asnwered, but Ojiro. "Judo and Kickboxing... I think." They all turned to him. "I recognized the style when you were fighting Bakugo, and Tsu said you taught her som Judo so... it wasn't hard to pick out. I like Martial arts." He smiled innocently.
"Your right actually, but there is a some pieces of other styles from other heroes. Midnight showed me some things, she beat me up bad. Turns out she is a master fighter, it was scary. I mean I set records in Judo, nationally, and she still whooped me easily. I have never been so outmatched."
Ojiro's eyes widened. "Wait that was you? A friend of mine is majorly into Judo, it goes well with her Quirk. She said some Quirkless kid had mastered Judo in less then a year, the fastest rise in decades without and with a quirk and the most match wins in a year for a minor!"
Everyone was looking at him, making Izuku laugh. "Yeah, that was me. I always was interested in Quirks and combat, but I did nothing to help myself. After I... well I had the worst day ever, I was given some,.. attempt at helpful advise that made me realize how little I had done to overcome my lack of a quirk. I set to better myself and learned that I was way more atheletic then I realized, and that I had a knack for martial arts. It was fun really...I actually intend to add Caperia to my style, to perfect my kick boxing since what I use is pretty basic... and maybe a few other styles."
Kirishima smiled. " So manly, what would advise for me?"
"Not sure, I have never seen you use your quirk... but you seem pretty straight forward, and from I can tell chops would be useful for you... and something more full bodied, so maybe Judo when you are fighting less physical beings, and Piguaquan to take advantage of the chopping motion since you aren't making fists when you use your quirk. I would also incorporate something... gentle, so you don't kill someone."
The handsome boy rubbed his chin. "I never thought of it like that, but I guess with sharp, strong skin I would be at a serious risk of hurting someone, huh?"
"I think most people never see how dangerous quirks are, we are too used to them.., but yeah."
That got everyone thinking, however it was Uraraka that seemed the most moved. " I almost killed my dad when I was little, when my powers first came in. I made him float higher then a building, thankfully a hero saved him when my powers turned off." Her words were soft. "It's why I don't use my powers willy nilly. It's why I was so happy that you offered to teach me combat, so I don't rely on my powers too much. I never want to just drop someone, I could easily kill or maim and I don't want that."
"Like Bakugo." Tsu's words caught them all. "It was pretty obvious no one taught him that his powers were dangerous, he just swung them about like they were no problem."
Izuku shuddered at that reminder, his fingers moving to his chest where he felt the wave pattern of his burns, etched forever into his skin. The memory of the explosion was faint, but the first day looking at his naked skin, seeing the horrible scars lingered hard no matter how much he tried to subude it. "It's the only reason he is not expelled, my mom got him into therapy and better quirk couseling..."
"Hey, hey, we're here." Aizawa says from the front of the bus shutting everyone up.
"Yes, sir," everyone replies.
As they exited the bus, they were greeted with the sight of what looked like an astronaut. At least to the untrained eye, to the young heroes in training it was obvious whom it was.
"It's Thirteen!" Uraraka yells excitedly, her fangirl tendencies super clear.
"Hello, everyone, I've been waiting for you!" Thirteen says.
" Woo-hoo, Thirteen is one of my favorite heroes," Uraraka says.
He laughed, bumping into his friend. "She might give you an autograph if you ask." The girl gasped.
"I can't wait to show you what's inside!" Thirteen tells them as they all walk inside, only for the entire class to gasp in shock the moment the see the massive simulation sets. It was incredible, it was a hero's theme park of places to save.
"Holy crap! It looks like some kind of amusement park!" Kirishima says.
"A shipwreck! A landslide. A fire. A windstorm. Et cetera. I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters. I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. But you can call it, USJ!" Thirteen says to them.
"Hey, shouldn't All Might be here already? Lemme guess, he booked an interview instead," Aizawa says as he walks over to Thirteen.
Izuku heard nothing, the teachers were whispering, but he did see that Thirteen was holding up three fingers.
'His time limit... that idiot, he was supposed to teach and wasted it all. Why was I so obsessed with him in the past?'
"That man is the height of irresponsibility," Aizawa says. "The clock's ticking we should get started,"
"Excellent. Before we begin, let me just say one thing. Well, maybe two things. Possibly three, four, or five," Thirteen tells everyone. "Listen carefully. I'm sure you're aware that I have a powerful quirk. It's called black hole. I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust."
"Yeah, you've used back hole to save people from all kinds of disasters before, haven't you?" Izuku asks as Uraraka nods her head rapidly.
"That's true, but my quirk could also very easily be used to kill. Some of you also have powers that can be dangerous," Thirteen replies.
"Oh..." everyone says.
"In our superhuman society, all quirks are certified and stringently regulated, so we often overlook how unsafe they can actually be. Please don't forget that if you lose focus or make the wrong move, your powers can be deadly. Even if you're trying to do something virtuous like rescue someone. Thanks to Aizawa's fitness tests, you have a solid idea of your quirk's potential. And because of All Might's combat training, you likely experienced how dangerous your powers can be when used against other people. Carry these lessons over to this class. Today you're going to learn how to use your quirks to save people's lives. You won't be using your powers to attack enemies or each other, only to help. After all, that's what being a hero is all about. Ensuring the safety of others," Says, unknowingly reflecting what Izuku had said on the bus. She didn't seem to notice the solemn looks on the students' faces as they considered her words. "That's all I have to say. Thank you so much for listening," Thirteen says, bowing.
The students all cheered.
"Right. Now that's over..." Aizawa starts to say before the lights cut out with a loud zing and the fountain starts to go haywire. a black something appearing right in front of the fountain. Izuku watched as Aizawa froze for a moment, clearly feeling the same odd tingle that Izuku felt all of a sudden, born from years of personal attacks from countless bullies. He turned around, gripping his capture weapon. "Stay together and don't move! Thirteen. Protect the students!" Aizawa yells.
"Whoa, what is that thing? Wait, has the training started already? I thought we were rescuing people," Kirishima says, just as people came from what Izuku realized was a portal.
He seemed to be the only one to understand what was going on among the students. "Those are villains, this isn't a drill or training." He grabbed his sticks, switching them on and falling into a low stance, not so eager but very willing to do what he needed to survive and help his classmates do the same.
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was fun, this was great, I loved it...
