Greetings all, it is I Smoking Wrecker with my first Star vs the Forces of Evil fanfic. In this story think of it as a rewrite of the final season and the finale. Since that finale wasn't well-received by fans. Thank goodness for fanfics and AUs. Anyway, this story is going to be rated T and brutal, to quote Steeljaw. "Savor the daylight. Things are about to get rather dark." You've been warned.
Anyway, I don't own Star vs the forces of evil. But if I did, I would make the final season better.
Our story begins with Star Butterfly stuck in a cage made out of bones in a world full of fire, brimstone, and random demons, dead people from other worlds and that would give Tom nightmares. As a matter of fact this place would make the Underworld in Mewni look nice by comparison. Our hero Star Butterfly is tied up in a metal cage.
"I know what you're all thinking? What's Star Butterfly, Princess soon to be Queen of Mewni doing in a cage in a world filled with fire and brimstone?" Star asked. "Well, I had a nightmare about some demons destroying Mewni and they weren't the same like Tom, these ones are scary and meaner than Tom. So I learned this place is called Embrous, the dimension of hellfire. So far I hate this place."
But it turn out that Star was talking to a skeleton. "Look at who I'm talking to a dead skeleton." Star rolled her eyes.
Star's cage opened up and she begins to fall down to the ground, Star groans as she gets back up and sees a large demonic woman with dark blue skin,bat like wings on her back, razor sharp claws on both hands and feet, with ram like horns over her raven black hair, wearing bronze chestplate with shoulder pads, a battle skirt and huge sword by her side sitting on a huge throne.
"Oh hi there um, what's your name again?" Star asked as she nervously chuckled.
"My name is Queen Demona, Queen of Embrous. Long ago your ancestors and I have fought in a battle for Mewni." Demona explained. "But I lost the war. But there is a prophecy to be foretold."
"This isn't going to take long. Because I have to meet up with my mom in an hour or so." Star said.
"If you have a mother to go back too once Ragnarok starts." Demona stated.
"Wait Ragnarok isn't that like a Thor and Loki thing?" Star asked. "Marco showed me this comic when this movie Thor Ragnarok was coming out."
"Silence!" Demona shouted as the fire around grew big around her. "Once the Queen of Mewni is no longer part of this world, the eternal winter will began, people will get slaughtered and finally I will launch my attack on Mewni, and when I obtain my victory, Mewni will be nothing more but ashes."
"Not if I take that sword from you." Star said as she glared at the Demon Queen.
"You take my sword?" Demona questioned as she stood up and grabbed her sword. "You cannot stop Ragnarok. What makes you think you can stop it?"
"Because that's what heroes do!" Star shouted as she held up her right hand and fired a Narwhal Blast from her hand knocking Demona down and the sword is free from her hands. Star runs up to the sword and when she touched the the hilt of the sword and it shrinks down to normal size. "Perfect, I don't have to drag it." Star picked up the sword and ran away.
Demona gets back and snarls. "Stop her! Bring me back my sword!" Demona shouted. The demons all heard the command and ran or flew towards Star.
Star shot a rainbow fist at some flying demons, then she shot shooting stars are both the ground and flying demons. Star even shot a blast of cupcakes from her hands knocking out some demons. No matter how many spells Star can cast from her hands more and more demons were coming towards her.
"Well guys it's been fun, but I gotta go." Star said as she ran away and the demons began to chase her. "Being chased by demons. Wait was it's weird how I killed some demons even those I dated a demon." Star looked behind her and sees the demons and Demona chasing after Star. "No time to think!" Star said as she took out some dimensional scissors and opens a portal.
"Don't let her escape!" Demona shouted.
"BYYYEEE!" Star said as she jumps through the rift as it closes up.
The demons all stopped and Demona lets out a screa of anger.
Meanwhile in Mewni, Star is thrown out of the riff and lands chest first on the ground. "Ow." Star said as she gets back up. "Star Butterfly has prevented Ragnarok from happening. I got to tell Marco and my parents."
Star is walking towards Butterfly castle which is being repaired after the last attack. She walked towards the treasure vault and placed Demona's sword in a display case. "There we go." Star said as she exited the treasure vault and sees Marco with a clipboard.
"Hey Star, your Coronation is tomorrow, shouldn't you be preparing for your speech?" Marco asked.
"I've been working on it. But I don't have time to talk, I need to get rid of the smell of smoke, some evil demon blood and then meet up with my mom." Star said.
"Did you killed Tom?!" Marco questioned.
"What? No! Demons from Embrous! That place makes the Underworld look like a theme park. I'll explain later, I gotta go!" Star said and ran off.
"Embrous?" Marco questioned.
Sometime later Star has cleaned herself up and ran off to her parents' home and she sees her dad chopping some firewood with an axe. "Hey dad!" Star greeted.
"Star!" River greeted as he hugged his daughter. "It is good to see you. So tomorrow is your big day are excited, nervously?"
"Just a little bit nervous. I'm here to talk to mom." Star said.
"She's not here." River said.
"Oh when will she'll be back?" Star asked.
"Actually she's in the park in Echo Creek and she wants to talk to you there." River said. "It's very important."
Sometime later, a rift opens up in Echo Creek's park and Star exits the rift as it closes. Star looked around and sees Moon Butterfly standing there. "Hello Star." Moon said.
"Hello mom." Star said.
"Shall we sit?" Moon asked as she gestured to a park bench.
"Sure thing." Star replied.
Star and Moon both sat on the bench in Echo Creek. "So tomorrow you take your place as Queen of Mewni. You don't seem excited." Moon said.
"No I'm not. I don't know the first thing about ruling a kingdom." Star said.
Moon handed Star a notebook labelled A Queen's guide. "I wrote this since you left for Earth." Moon said. "I know, I won't be around for much longer."
"What?! Are you leaving me again?!" Star asked.
"Sadly, I am not long for both Earth and Mewni. Star, your father and I have never told you this. But you have a brother." Moon confessed.
"Wait I have a brother?!" Star questioned. "Shouldn't he rule Mewni?"
"No, Damien Butterfly had one goal to rule all of the realms. Your father and I had to banish him to a cell that is connected to my life. Sadly this will be the last time we meet and Ragnarok is upon Mewni."
"No need, I took Demona's sword away and locked it away in the vault." Star said.
"Ragnarok cannot be stopped, Star. Mewni is not a place, it's people." Moon said.
"But how can I stop Damien, he'll take Mewni from force. How can I stop him?" Star asked.
"You'll need all of the help you'll need." Moon said as she gets up from the bench and looked at her daughter. "You will make a great Queen, Star. You have grown so much since you came here. Farewell." Moon said as she placed her hands on Star's cheeks and all of a sudden Moon started to fade into little light blue lights blew into the air.
"Mom!" Star shouted as she got up and held her hand out as her mother was no longer part of the living. Star then dropped to her knees as tears streamed down her face. "Good bye, mom." Star said softly.
