This was a fun but extremely hard chapter to write. I loved it entirely, but boy was it hard. Action scenes are so not my forte... still I think I did a good job.

I hope you all enjoy.

Do you love the sound of Shinso's voice, I love the sound of his voice.

''''

" It has to be super strength!"

" No, he may have beaten that hardening quirk but he's been super strategic, it must be a analysis quirk or something that boosts his strategy... although he dominated the Obstacle course, the little guy vaulted a massive robot, so maybe an atheletic enhancing quirk?"

Izuku smiled, listening to these theories as he walked up the stairs to his seat. Naturally people assumed he had to have a quirk, it was all they knew. They would be in for a serious shock when they learned he lacked any quirk whatsoever. Who knew when it would happen, when they guessed it. Either way it would be super fun to watch then squirm when they found out the truth.

'Of course, people might rebel when they hear I am quirkless. They might accuse me of cheating like they thought I did during the Entrance Exam... I think Eraserhead will have an issue with that, so will Midnight. I hope they say something, having heroes back me up would only serve to aid my reputation and help me with proving myself to other heroes and the general populace.'

Sighing at that depressing thought, Izuku continued up the stairs, only to freeze as a wave of pain shot through his ribs. Hissing, he turned heel and marched towards Recovery Girl's office, knowing it was very possible that Kirishima's glancing blows were strong enough to crack or break his ribs. The guy was insanely strong, Izuku was still shocked that he had managed to pull of a victory against the guy.

Izuku hoped he would be back to see Uraraka fight Shiozaki, that was the fight he was really looking forward to... more then any of them.

""""

Uraraka vs Shiozaki

As it turned out, Izuku missed the next fight but Shinso had been the victor as he had been told. From what Iida had proclaimed, Shinso had literally told Ashido to walk off of the arena after mocking her horns. Izuku, who had in fact had cracked ribs and was now very tired from his healing session with Recovery Girl, sighed and considered the boy's powers.

'From his demonstration earlier, it is clear that his powers require a trigger, most likely a response. I don't know if it is verbal, physical or emotional so that will be hard to combat... I have to find a way to break it if I intend to take first place and since that is exactally what I intend to do I have to find a way to beat it. That he revealed his powers like that though, and given how small he is in terms of muscle... well, I have a feeling Ashido would have whooped his ass easily. So maybe I just beat him up and keep my responses measured. Pity I couldn't see his fight this time, but cracked ribs are no joke, I could have easily splintered something which could have been fatal...it sucks but It was worth it.'

Settling into his seat, Izuku looked on with great interest as Uraraka and Shiozaki took the field. This was the fight he was most interested in, who would win? Which of these amazing girls would dominate the fight? The girl with the vines, or the girl with Gravity powers and budding martial talents! He had a feeling he knew the winner already but he would hold his judgment back for the time being.

"FROM CLASS 1A, THE UNEXPECTED BADASS, OCHACHO URARAKA! FROM CLASS 1B, THE FAITHFUL WARRIOR, IBARA SHIOZAKI! READY YOURSELF... AND... FIGHT!" Present Mic screamed, and the moment he finished his words, Uraraka blasted off.

Shiozaki turned around, her hair vines slamming into the ground. Instantly they tore off, splintering through the ground, ripping through it until they reached Uraraka's feet. The Gravity girl threw herself to the side in that instant, dodging the vines entirely before continuing her charge. Shiozaki turned around, just in time to be decked in the face with an impressive right hook that literally knocked her off her feet.

"How uncout-" The vine girl started, only stopping to grunt in pain as Uraraka socked her in the stomach hard enough to make her spit up. Not finished, Uraraka grabbed the girl by her long hair, turned and slammed her hard into the ground...

Knocking out vine girl in that instant.

Midnight flashed her whip. "Shiozaki is unconcious, Uraraka is the winner!"

Stunned Izuku turned and saw the rest of his class was as shocked as he was, more so even.

"How did the most level headed girl in our class pull that off?' Jiro asked, her jaw scrapping the floor.

Izuku laughed. " I taught her." All the other students looked at him. "She has been attending my lessons since I started U.A. She learned how to hit, where to hit and some basic judo throws. She is insanely good at martial matters, like she picks them up far faster then I ever did. She is actually stronger then she looks, she used to help her parents with their construction work and not just with her powers. She's a beast and she deserves to have gotten this far."

" She really does." Jiro said.

Momo nodded. "She is skilled... I just wish I would have had the chance to test my mettle against her."

"Come to a training session, you'll get to test your mettle all you want. Now, if you'll excuse me I don't want any spoilers for the next match, so I am going to congragulate Uraraka and hid until my match. See you later." Standing, Izuku all but fled away from the others, making his way down the stairs and out into the inside halls. It took him a few minutes to find her, but soon enough he found and tackled the poor Uraraka into a warm hug. "Damn that was impressive."

She giggled, squeezing him tight. "Thanks, I couldn't have pulled that off without your lessons... and it helped that she was so stationary, made her real easy to get a hold of. All I had to do was dodge her vines at least once, making an opening just long enough to reach her. I could tell she wasn't used to be hit, she had no idea how to take one like you taught us. I never realized how important that was to learn, but oh boy watching her fail to take them was a big help in that direction."

"You did amazing, like seriously in the most epic, scary way. I can't wait to see how good you are by the end of this year, you might be better then me!"

That made her giggle even louder, almost uncontrollably. "I sure hope so, it would be fun to kick your butt for once instead of eating the matt every time we fight."

Sighing, he pulled away. "You should watch this next match... hopefully you'll be fighting one of those guys, beating them after I beat Shinso. I don't want to watch,so I can work on my more impulsive skills. I want to be surprised by their or your powers when we fight... and frankly I really wish it to be you that I beat."

"Same... I think we should stay together for now, I think... I think I need to do that too. I've been making plans each time, but this time I want to work with something I have never seen, make my victory feel more hard won."

Holding her hand, he led her to a wall where they both sat against. " I will enjoy your company then."

:::

It was here, the fight Nezu was most looking forward too. Shinso, a master manipulator with an exceptionally powerful, almost too powerful quirk vs Izuku Midoriya... an utterly quirkless genius with more talent then most pros in the top one hundred. It would be a hard match, but only if Shinso managed to get Izuku to speak at some point. For some reason, Nezu belived Shinso would and could manage to do just that... Izuku was smart and probably figured it out, but he was also emotional and not immune to being taunted. If Shinso could find the right trigger, it would be his fight...

So what would happen? In either case, Shinso was replacing Mineta, he had showed that he deserved as much already. Sure he needed to work on not relying on his powers...

But that could be easily fixed.

'Perhaps have him join Izuku with his training... yes, that would be a good idea. Aizawa probably has his eyes on him too, they are so similar is hurts.'

The two boys joined each other on the field, both standing straight and with great passion in their eyes. Nezu could see as much, even from where he was sitting.

This was going to be great.

"So here we are. You're lucky to have been so blessed, Izuku Midoriya. You have a powerful quirk..." Shinso started off strong, too strong, and just like Nezu had predicted, said exactally the right thing. He could see instantly how deeply his words affected Izuku, the boy actually recoiled ever so slightly, turning inward with a sadness that most people would never comprehend. "You've accomplished so much, riding on a luck of genetics...I wish I had been so blessed."

Then, exactally as Izuku figured, the green hair boy sighed into his microphone. "Blessed... Shinso, I am entirely Quirkless." Shock etched itself onto Izuku's face, a look that everysingle person that was not in the know echoed only Izuku's face went utterly blank just a second later.

"A quirkless kid, in U.A., what were they thinking? That spot should have gone to someone with an actual chance at being a hero." Sharply, Nezu turned to whomever said that but they were far away so all he could do was glare.

"I don't know, he got this far, I say he's earned his spot..."

"Probably a U.A. PR stunt, to show they care of something."

"Doubtful, I've met Nezu, he's not the type to value reputation over safety, the kid has to be something special to get this far."

Within seconds the entire crowd starting screaming, some booing poor Izuku, others praising him and some just showing their doubts. It was a festival of cruelty and abuse and it disgusted Nezu entirely. Parasites the lot of them, they reminded him of the scientiests that abused him so many years ago. He wanted to bite them all so hard he fel this fur rufffle, something that alerted the many teachers that saw it.

"ENOUGH!" Aizawa's voice cut through the echoes entirely and everyone turned to the Announcers box. "Whoever started this mob, you are a disgrace. Izuku Midoriya may be Quirkless but he has earned his spot in U.A. and in this Festival more then everyone else combined. He go the highest recorded scores for both the practical and academic Entrance Exams. He took down one of those massive robots with a single attack. He dominated both the obstacle course, the Cavalary battle and so far has destroyed all of his opponents in a one on one fight, no matter their quirks or powers. He crafted powerful equiptment, mastered combat and strategy and has shown more heart then most pros. Do not doubt him or allowed your biased ideas to cloud your judgement. This kid deserves his spot and I will not so much as blink when he wins this entirely despite being brainwashed."

Proud of his teacher, and swearing to do something nice for him, Nezu calmed himself with a few breathes before turning his attention to the battle, where Shinso was staring at Izuku in shock still. Somehow he managed to shake it off though and command his puppet.

"Walk over the line." Simple enough, his voice and quirk was strong... but...

Izuku did not move, no that was not right he was moving...

He was shaking.

"""

'What's happening? I can't move my body. I feel like my brain is full of fog. I can't concentrate, gods what it this... No! Not like this. I figured out his quirk needed a response, why did I... I'm an idiot. This is all my fault!' Izuku thought, angry at himself for speaking. 'I let his petty words get to me, they were perfect for me to give in though... blessed, I wish... I've earned everything... blood, sweat and tears and so many electrical shocks from making my damn sticks. No one gave me a damn thing, it was all me... me... is he getting weaker? The fog, it's lifting...'

Izuku shivered, feeling something wrack through his body. It wasn't energy, it wasn't power...

It was control, his control, his passion, his pain and it was burning through the fog! The world started to settle, color returning full force.

"GO! Stop fighting, go and walk over the line... your not supposed to be fighting, GO!" Shinso's words were hallow, empty of the same power that washed over him before.

Izuku smiled. "No." Simple and sweet, the single word shattered the control, searing away the mist entirely leaving him stumbling back, shaking his head to clear it of the lightness. "That was... AWESOME!' He was all too aware of his microphone, of the people's shock to his words but he didn't care. "That power could save so many lives. You could stop suicides, put down cocky villians, force civilians to behave when they are being unruly. So many applications, really you won the genetic lottery!"

Shinso took a step back. " What? How do you figured?"

" Your power can save so many people, why did you get into General studies when your clearly have the power any hero would beg for? I mean I know why, you rely on your powers too much, like most people. I have no powers and I got in, my friend Hagakure got in and she is just invisible. There were ways for noncombative types like us three to manage but the test was really stacked against us. They are probably expelling a classmate of mine for being a perv, you might really have a chance to come into our program, I sure as hell hope so."

The boy, Shinso, actually looked teary for a second. Izuku's heart melted, he had a feeling like with him no one had ever beleived in his capacity to be a great. Or much of anything...

Of course he was still going to sock him one, just to make a point but stilll.

"Do you really think so?"

"Hell yeah, now get into a stance. No, that's not right, your legs are too far apart... damn, come to my training sessions after school, I'll get you into fighting shape in no time like I did with Uraraka. She was totally clueless in combat when we started school and look at how good she is now. Trust me, you'll do great...but I should apologize, for I am about to kick your skinny ass. I plan to win this whole tournament."

And with that, he charged Shinso, sticks in each hand. To his credit, Shinso did not so much as recoil and actually charged right back. He was sloppy, slower then he should have been, but there was a brightness in his eyes that there hadn't been before. It was kind of nice to see, and really made the boy far more handsome then he had been before.

Izuku kind wanted to see how he'd look if he smiled...

But that was for another time, and so he threw himself to the side, rolling across the ground when he should have met the other boy. Popping up, he lashed out with his sticks, knocking Shinso's feet from under him. When he landed on his belly, Izuku jumped and sat on his back, both sticks at Shinso's neck.

"Sigh..." Shinso said. "I should have known I would have managed to beat you in a physical contest... I forfiet."

Without shame, Izuku helped the boy stand, grabbed his hand and held them both skyward. "Wasn't he great? That power is amazing. Pros, seriously, take notice, I think we are looking at someone that will end up in the top ten in a few years."

Shinso looked utterly baffled, his adorable face utterly red. "You didn't have to do that." he whispered.

After turning off his microphone, Izuku led the boy away off of the arena. "Yes I did... you may not have won, but you were amazing none the less. I wanted to make sure everyone saw that. My offer stands you know, you are more then welcome to train in combat with me. Your stance was terrible and your slow, but your clearly smart so I know you'll learn fast." He felt a rush of mischief run through him. " Having some eye candy would be nice too." Shinso's face had finally returned to normal when Izuku said that, the moment the words registered however Shinso became almost purple in color. Izuku just laughed at him as he walked away. "Come sit with Class 1A, I have some friends that would love to meet you, especially since you are almost sure to be in the hero course."

Shinso nodded, softly, and a sweet actually genuine smile crossed his face. "I'd like that, especially if they are all as nice as you seem to be."

"A few are nicer. If you like me, wait til you meet Uraraka. She's fantastic but don't worry, I'm still single Shinso."

The other boy blushed deeper, but nodded. "I think I'll keep that in mind."

Izuku laughed some more. 'Thank the gods for confidence... a year ago I couldn't flirt like that... but who will I pick. I kind of like Mei, and Shinso is hot and seems interesting... why can't I pick both? Maybe I can... sigh, I have time, no real rush for romance right now. Hero and Support comes first.'

Satisfied with his thoughts, Izuku led the boy to class 1 A, eager to introduce him to his potential future classmates.

As he did, Izuku made a point to ignore the nasty comments spewed forth by nasty people at him for being quirkless. He had a lifetime of those nasty words, he was immune to it at this point. Bakugo had all but made sure of that.

Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.

This was beyond fun to write.
