Xenophilius Lovegood was sitting outside in his backyard.

Yellow was Xenophilius's favorite color because to him it represented the sun and specifically the warmth of the sun.
Xenophilius loved sitting outside on beauftul warm days.
But Xenophilius loved the night sky just as much as he loved the sun.
There was unmissable joy. peace, and beauty at sitting outside looking up at the brightness of the moon on a calm, clear, crisp cool night.
Especially if that moon was a full moon as it was on this night.
Xenophilius felt contented as sat relaxed in his lawn chair, feeling the slight cool breeze blow through him as the full moon illuminated his backyard.
As Xenophilius felt the breeze and watched the moon, an idea came to him.
He had a daughter due in about a month, around the time of the next full moon.
Xenophilius hadn't yet chosen a name for his daughter. In fact, he hadn't even thought about it.
But now?
"I know exactly what I'm naming my daughter, " thought Xenophilius to himself as he sat alone out back.
"LUNA!" Xenophilius shouted aloud, "LUNA LOVEGOOD!"
Xenophilius beamed as he thought, "Luna, is, after all, the Latin word for moon. Being able to give my daughter a name associated with the moon is super cool. With any luck, she'll arrive at the full moon."
And the fates would be on Xenophilius's and Luna's sides.
Incredibly, Luna Lovegood was born at the EXACT next full moon.
"Luna, " said Xenophilius fondly as he held his newborn baby daughter in his hands.
Luna, the girl whose name meant moon, whose name was decided upon on the night of a full moon, and who had then been born at the next full moon had the coolest connections with the moon possible.
Luna Lovegood has a very lunar connection.
