It had been almost a year since Jimmy Peakes's son Rudolph Peakes had been born on Christmas Eve.

Rudolph had been Jimmy's pride and joy and had proven to be a healthy baby.

But Jimmy wasn't satisfied with being a father to one child.

He wanted a second.

That time when Jimmy's second baby would become a part of the world was drawing nearer and nearer.

But, this time, Jimmy had a daughter on the way.

This time, there was no drama in Jimmy's mind about what name to gift his child with.

Being a huge fan of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer who had fathered a Christmas Eve baby, Jimmy knew upon Rudolph's birth that he had gotten his son's name right, even if it took him a while, a walk, and a display of all red Christmas lights for the idea to come to him.

This year, Jimmy was absolutely sure of what he was going to name his daughter.

Sticking with the Rudolph theme, Jimmy would be naming his daughter Clarice.

Clarice, after the doe character in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Clarice had been the one to accept Rudolph for who he was straight away, even going as far as to call Rudolph's red nose, "Much better than that silly false one you were wearing."

Clarice had also comforted Rudolph with the beautiful song There's Always Tomorrow before her father had rudely interrupted them.

Clarice was also very loyal to Rudolph, going out in the storm of storms with Mrs. Donner to try to help find Rudolph, in spite of Donner's protest that the search was "Man's work."

This was all very clear in Jimmy's mind as the naming of his daughter fell upon him.

Naming his daughter Clarice was perfect.

As a huge Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer fan, naming his children Rudolph and Clarice was fitting, especially with both being Christmas babies.

When it came to naming his daughter specifically, Jimmy felt an innate warmth about naming his daughter after a character who exemplified the qualities of acceptance, friendship, and loyalty.

And this wasn't the only easy decision on Jimmy's plate.

The other easy decision for Jimmy was that Clarice would be his last child.

Jimmy had actually made his mind when he was all of six that two would be the number of children he would have.

He wanted to be a father, and he wanted his children to be able have a sibling bond. However, he did not want a whole house full of children of various ages.

Two children, one year apart, was perfect for Jimmy.

When Clarice Peakes entered the world at 11;43 P.M. on Christmas Eve night, Jimmy was more content that he had ever been.

Being a father of Christmas babies in back to back years was special to Jimmy.

As Rudolph and Clarice grew up as healthy children with a tight knit brother sister relationship who both loved Christmas, Jimmy realized as the years went by that he had exactly what he wanted.

The Christmas fan was a Christmas father.

As this will be the last update to The Harry Potter Naming Thread before Christmas, I'd like to take this moment to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. To any expectant fathers reading this, congratulations and good luck on naming your sons and daughters. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! Love you all -Michael :)
