Happy New Year! Welcome to 2022!

Kevin Whitby was going to have a very Happy New Year when 2010 came.

Kevin was going to become a father and his daughter was due on New Year's Day 2010.

The prospect of being of a dad had made Kevin a very happy man through the entire holiday season in the 2009-2010 academic year.

From Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas to New Year's, Kevin was rarely without a smile on his face as he anticipated what he knew would become the greatest joy of his life.

"As becoming a father will make 2010 a Happy New Year for me, " thought Kevin as he sat at his desk on the quiet of Christmas Eve, 2009, "I want to give my daughter a name that means happy. But what are some good girls' names that mean happy?"

Deciding to look it up, Kevin got on his computer and goggled "Baby names that mean happy."

After looking through a few sites, Kevin found a name that he liked.

"Alisa, " concluded Kevin, "My daughter shall be Alisa Whitby."

"It fits perfectly," realized Kevin, "Alisa means great happiness. There is no greater happiness that becoming a father, and for it to happen on New Year's Day. Perfect."

Kevin closed the windows feeling confident and sure of himself.

The next week, Kevin Whitby's daughter came into the world EXACTLY, as 2009 turned into 2010.

It couldn't have worked out better and Kevin couldn't be happier as Alisa became the greatest happiness of his life.

There was nothing that could compare to becoming a father.

But to have it happen exactly as the New Year hit?

This was a surreal moment in a beautiful way.

It was exactly what people meant when they said you couldn't buy happiness and that some things were priceless.

There was no greater happiness that the happiness Kevin experienced when Alisa came into the world.
