In the meantime, Michelle ran out of Whipstaff Manor, crying tears of anger, guilt, and regret. She slammed the main door and then ran down the main steps before she collapsed upon the driveway in agony. "This isn't fair!" she sobbed, "It seems I'll never be able to be free!" Then, she sat down with her knees to her chest and buried her head in her arms. Michelle started to feel a little ashamed of herself for lashing out at her father and even tearing him from the family picture, but she sighed and remembered how she dreamed of going to college… only to have those dreams seemingly crushed.

"Oh, Mom, this is all my fault!" Michelle said sadly out loud, "If only I didn't distract you in the car with my singing! Then, Dad wouldn't have gone insane." She sniffed and then got up to go back inside the manor and up to her room.

Meanwhile, inside the manor's library, James Harvey, who was trying to be clam after his argument with Michelle, met with the Ghostly Trio about paranormal studies. The ghosts were smashing valuable objects and causing all kinds of trouble. "So, who are we gonna see today?" asked Stretch.

James took up a framed picture of Amelia and said, "This one. Thank you, gentlemen." He was still feeling a bit stressed from the argument.

The three ghosts looked at it with amazement. "What a dish, huh?" Stretch said with a naughty smile.

"A little imp's pretty miss, huh?" Stinkie said in a cheeky tone.

Fatso appeared behind James and cried out, "Hubba-hubba!" Then, he howled like a wolf, only for Stretch to punch him on the head.

"Fatso, you animal!" Stretch chastised before he turned to James and asked, "Might she be available to us?"

Stinkie panted like a dog until James said, "She's my wife, Amelia. She's deceased."

"Even better!" said Fatso.

Dr. Harvey covered the picture and said, "But we're not here to talk about me!"

"See?" Stretch asked his brothers with shame, "Now don't you feel just awful?"

Stinkie and Fatso hung their heads in shame. "I was just goofing," said Fatso.

"Well, don't be goofin' at Amelia!" scolded Stretch, "She's as nice a person as they come! She's always treated you right, huh, Stinkie?"

As James sorted through some piles, he overheard Stretch talking about Amelia. "I've got no complaints," Stinkie said to his brothers, "She's always been an angel to me."

"Wait a minute," James said with awe as he slowly approached the trio, "What are you saying?"

"I'm sayin' she's a peach!" said Stretch, "None better. Why?"

"You've actually seen her?" asked James.

"What? You think I'm blind?" said Stretch as he moved down towards James, "I've course I've seen her! Who hasn't?"

"Well, you're not lookin' for her, are you, Doc?" asked Stinkie.

James stammered, "Well, it's… not really the focus of our sessions, here, is it?" He then gained hope of finding his late wife as he continued, "But as long as you raise the issue… you wouldn't have a way of contacting others like yourselves, would you?"

The trio all said in unamused unison, "Eh…"

"I didn't think so," James said, feeling disappointed.

As the doctor walked away, though, the ghosts all blocked him. "Now that's not generally allowed there, Doc!" frowned Stretch, "I mean, you gotta go through channels!"

Stinkie held some papers up and added, "Yeah, and paperwork!"

"Red tape!" Fatso added as he pulled on Stinkie's tongue.

"A holy mess, you what I'm saying?" said Stretch, "But for you…" He and the other ghosts flew over to Harvey and Stretch said with a sly grin, "I dunno. Maybe we can work something out? You keep that ghoul Crittenden off our bets, and I'd say we got a deal! Right, boys?"

Stinkie and Fatso nodded in unison, "Mmm-hmm!"

"We might even keep your older girl in line!" Stinkie smirked as he put his right fist into his left hand.

"Deal?" asked Stretch.

James thought for a moment and said, "You don't need to do anything with Michelle. She… she's just a child who's still learning her place in the world. But… we got a deal."

Stretch turned to Fatso and ordered, "Fatso! You know where Amelia floats! Go!"

Fatso then floated away to find Amelia and went through two closed doors.

"It's that easy, huh?" James asked with amazement.

"We got a ghost-to-ghost network!" Stinkie said as he adjusted James' shirt a bit.

"We share haunting stories, we show bodies!" added Stretch.

"The bodies are always pretty good, though," said Stinkie.

Just then, there came three knocks behind the two doors. Light started to shine from the cracks. "That was fast," said Stretch. He, Stinkie, and James all looked on at the door. "I-I think it's for you, Doc," said Stretch."

James then walked very slowly to the doors, ready to see his late wife's spirit. He turned back at Stretch and Stinkie, but Stretch told him, "Go."

James turned to face the doors again and kept walking at a very slow pace. When he finally reached the doors, Dr. Harvey hesitated at opening them at first, for he hadn't seen his wife since her open-casket funeral. James then turned the knobs and opened the door, which was filled with white fog and a bright light. "Amelia?" James softly called.

Instead of a beautiful woman was a familiar overweight ghost wearing a blonde wig, a red dress, heavy make-up, and a pearl necklace! "My man!" cried Fatso with a grin; he then floated to James and gave him a big kiss with his lipstick-covered lips! His disguise soon disappeared, and then he laughed in a naughty way, for this was just a prank.
