CHAPTER 8

—--Day 29

Sarah got up, and got ready, fed Azrael, put him in his pouch around her neck and wrapped up in her cloak and gloves. She went down to get breakfast. All three of her friends were there waiting for her. She smiled and sat at the counter. Kelvin got them all tea and breakfast and they sat and ate together.

Darcie said, "I found out that only the Goblin King has wish magic. You are a rare one to ever come here with that kind of magic."

Sarah said, "I wouldn't be sharing that information with anyone. It would cost me my life." Her friends stopped eating.

Devlin said, "I swear never to tell anyone about your magic." All three swore. She knew she was safe with them.

Sarah said, "I did it, because now I won't have to worry about you three. I will miss you." All three kissed her cheek. They finished their breakfasts and Sarah went and got Nathrach and brought him up to the inn. The brothers all grabbed her baggage and all three went with her out to the horse. She tied down everything and had her bow and arrows on her back. She mounted up and said, "I count you among my friends. I never had many until I came here on this journey. I will always love you three always. She waved goodbye and rode to the southwest to the town of Saor. It was a day's ride.

Sarah got into town after dusk, it had snowed. She rode up to the inn and unloaded everything and went inside.

Sarah asked the thirty something male fae innkeeper, "Can I have a room for a couple nights, please?"

He said blaise, "You don't have to be so polite to me. Six silver a night, four coppers for meals, two for drinks. Room three." Sarah thought, damn he's rude. She put one gold, two silver on the counter. He gave her the key. She dropped off her bags and locked up. She took her horse to the stables and went back to the inn. She took off her bow and arrows and short sword and hunting knife. She settled in the room and fed Azrael. Sarah put on the pouch, and cloak and gloves to go down to dinner. Sarah heard talking and froze.

The innkeeper said, "He'll be down for supper soon. I'll drug him and we will see what's valuable in his bags. Too bad we can't get his horse too, but the blacksmith I think would be on to us and we need to keep a low profile since the last town. We can sell him to the Ogres."

Sarah whispered, "I 'wish' the men talking of my demise downstairs would turn them all into human women and be sold to Centaurs."

All of a sudden she heard screaming and then silence. Sarah's pup started crying from the screams and Sarah comforted him and said, "It's ok all the bad men got what was coming to them, baby boy."

Sarah went downstairs and said, "Hello?" No answer. Sarah went into the kitchen and saw a young human girl in rags in the corner trembling. Sarah rushed to her side and the girl looked terrified.

Sarah took down her hood and said softly, "It's ok, honey. I won't hurt you. I promise. Those bad men are gone."

The girl looked super young. She said meekly looking around, "How do ye know?"

Sarah smiled and said, "Because I made them turn into human women and be sold to Centaurs. They screamed when they changed and then they disappeared. I wished them away with my magic and heard what they planned for me by drugging my food. Can you imagine what they would have done if I was a human female? But now they all are and they are getting a taste of their own bad medicine." The girl smiled a little.

Sarah asked, "Are there any more renters in the inn?" The girl shook her head no.

Sarah said, "Do you know where the innkeeper guy kept his stuff?" The girl nodded nervously. "Where, honey?" She pointed up the stairs.

Sarah said, "Do you know where the key to his room is?" She nodded and got up and timidly took a key off the peg and handed it to Sarah.

Sarah said, "Come with me and I will drop off my cloak and gloves and pup in my room." Sarah took her hand and led her upstairs to her room. She opened the door and took off her cloak and gloves and took her puppy and wrapped her cloak around him. She took the girl's hand and they went to his room. Sarah opened a door to a hoard. She went to walk in but the girl was afraid.

Sarah said, "He's never coming back and I think you deserve his stuff for yourself. I'll help you and I won't let anyone else hurt you either. Ok?" The girl nodded and slowly came into the room. Sarah looked in everything she put all the money and jewelry in a bag and she had the girl sit down. Sarah emptied saddlebags and drawers.

Sarah asked, "Where is the owner of the inn?"

The girl said, "He kilt em' an his wife. He told tha townspeople tha he was his cousin an they went away ta visit friends."

Sarah asked, "Would you want to come with me and travel, seeing the last town in the Fairy Kingdom and then going to the Unicorn Kingdom next? Don't worry I'll take care of you. You can be like my little sister, but we will dress you like my little brother so we are left alone?" The girl smiled real big.

She asked, "Ye be a fae. Why'd ye care what happens ta me?"

Sarah said, "I'm not like people are here. I'm from a very far away place. I talk funny so I'm told. That's because I'm different."

The girl said, "Ye have dark hair. I be hearin' fae don' have dark hair."

Sarah smiled and said, "The people I come from have dark hair. I'll tell you all about them one day." The girl smiled.

The girl said, "I be likin' ta come with ye. I be thinkin' ye can teach me ta be smart."

Sarah stopped, looked at the girl and got down on her knees in front of her and said, "Sweetie, you are smart. You kept yourself alive around scum like him. I will teach you everything you need to know. Don't you worry, we will be good people traveling together. Do you have parents?"

She shook her head no with tears in her eyes. Sarah said, "He killed them didn't he?" She nodded and started to cry.

Sarah took her in her arms and said, "I'm sorry honey. It'll be alright now. Let's take everything you need out of this room and we'll go back to my room and we'll lock the door and put a chair under it after we lock the doors downstairs. I'll make a fire, we will take a bath and eat something. I'm a great cook, but we will eat cookies and you can play with my wolf pup. Ok?" The girl nodded yes.

Sarah went through his clothes and piled on the bed the stuff to keep. He wasn't a very big man so the clothes might do. Kelvin taught her a sizing spell. Sarah picked out five tunic shirts, four leggings, two pairs of leather pants and two pairs of boots. She found a winter cloak with a hood, four night shirts, and three belts. She found six knives, a long sword, a bow and arrow set,

Sarah said, "My name is Sar. What's yours, honey?"

The girl said, "I be named Brianna. He called me, Dirtball."

Sarah said, "Wow, he called you by his own name. The dumb jack-hole." The girl giggled.

Sarah said, "Let's go lock up downstairs and then we can start sizing clothes for you ok?" The girl nodded. They went down and locked up the inn tight even the backdoor. Sarah took Brianna's hand and they went back upstairs and Sarah started sizing clothes on her and folding them in stacks. The girl ran downstairs and brought up her meager belongings. Sarah said not to worry about her clothes unless she has something sentimental to keep. She would take her to one of the stores in town and get her some girl's underwear and a corset top like she had when it was safe to be a girl again.

Brianna told Sarah that her parents were murdered by 'Him' a year ago when she was twelve years old, right in front of her. He had been continually raping and beating her the whole time. She said she was thirteen years old and will be fourteen this spring. She thought what a sick fuck that bastard was raping a twelve year old, she's just a baby. Sarah moved everything they were keeping into her room and would double check his room tomorrow.

Sarah started a fire and locked the door and put a chair under it to make the girl feel better. Azrael started crying and Sarah showed him to Brianna. She was fascinated watching Sarah feed him and rub his tummy. Sarah got a pinch of moss and made him go potty. Sarah explained what and how mother wolves have to rub their stomach and make them go to the bathroom.

They both took a bath and washed their hair and got on one of the flannel nightshirts the guy had. Sarah hated seeing her black and blue bruises. Sarah gave her a pair of women's panties and sized it. She shared bread, nuts, cheese, cookies and water before they finally went to bed. Sarah spread her blankets out on the bed and both girls went to bed.

Sarah said, petting Brianna's head, "You're free, Brie. You don't need to be afraid anymore. I'll be your big sister and I won't let anyone hurt you anymore."

Brianna mumbled relaxing, "I love you, my big sister, Sar." Sarah smiled and cuddled Azrael to her neck and Brianna was in front of her.

—--Day 30

Sarah woke up and found Brianna gone. The chair was gone and the door was wide open. Sarah sat up and got up looking for her and went downstairs and called out, "Brie? Brianna?"

She poked her head out of the kitchen and said, "I wanted ta make ye breakfast."

Sarah walked over to her with her pup in her hand still and hugged her saying, "Baby girl, you scared me. I was worried about you."

Brianna hugged her back saying, "I be ok, Sar. I just wanted ta do something nice fer ya." Sarah smiled and patted her cheek.

Sarah said, "Ok, I'll be upstairs. You come get me when it's ready and we'll both get dressed in our man clothes." Brianna giggled and nodded.

Sarah went upstairs, got dressed, brushed her hair and fed Azrael. Brianna came and got her to go downstairs to eat. They went down and ate breakfast with tea. Brianna made eggs, fried potatoes, mutton steaks and toast with jam and butter. It was very good.

Sarah asked, "Brie, do you know where any money might be? You'll need it for the road when we leave. I think we need to tell the blacksmith what has happened after we get ourselves done with all of his belongings. I want to go over to his room. Something is telling me he stashed some stuff in there or somewhere if he was stealing from people and killing or selling them off."

Brianna said, "I think I be knowin' a couple places ta look, Sar." They finished their meal and went to his room and Brianna pointed to a part of the wall. Sarah moved a panel out of the way and there was a shitload of gold in huge bags. Sarah and Brianna had their mouths open and looked at one another and started giggling.

Sarah said, "You grab some and I'll grab some and take it to my bed ok?" Brianna nodded. They moved everything out of the wall and put it on the bed.

Sarah asked, "Anywhere else?" Brianna took her to the kitchen and in the pantry up in the ceiling was another stash. Sarah handed it down to Brianna.

Once they moved it all up to the bedroom Sarah started a count and got out her leather bags to hold some of the coin. The evil bastard was a hoarder. It took a while but after all the coins from everywhere were counted it was 4342 gold, 576 silver, 845 coppers. Sarah got her pen, a piece of paper to write it down and a coin purse for Brianna. She put twenty two gold, twenty six silver, and twenty five coppers in there. She sat it aside and took her own coin purse and put twenty gold and twenty coppers in it. Sarah put her purse back on her belt. She put Brianna's on her belt. She took off her locket and started putting 4300 gold, 550 silver, 800 copper in her locket.

Brianna asked, "Is that a magical locket?"

Sarah said, "Yes, but you can never ever tell a soul or they will steal it from us. That's why I got it to get it out of my bags and now it rests right on my heart. I was trained to fight and I am very good at it. No matter how nice you think people are, not all people can be trusted. Just because they are nice to your face, they could have cruel intentions. I can usually spot mean people. I've made good friends on my travels and have met a few mean people too." Sarah had 5840 gold, 550 silver and 800 coppers in her locket.

Sarah sighed and said, "This is a ton of jewelry. Do you see anything familiar from your family?" Brianna started going through it all and picked out a couple pieces. She started to cry. Sarah pulled her into her arms.

Sarah said, "Brie honey, they loved you and now I'm here to love and take care of you. It'll be ok. You're not all alone anymore, I promise."

She sniffled and said, "Ye be a fae an ye canna break a promise or a swear."

Sarah held her head in both her hands and said, "I know. You're my little sister and I will love and help you and show you that I'm a good person. You're a good person too, baby girl. We are going to be ok. We have money and we can share and be friends and sisters together. Ok?"

Brianna smiled, nodded and said, "Yes, me sister." Sarah kissed her forehead.

Sarah thought, 'The money is out of the way. Now for baggage for Brianna.' Sarah got up and went into the room and looked for bags, nothing.

Sarah said, "Brie, can you get me a key for all these rooms and unlock them all?" Brianna ran down and got all the keys. She ran upstairs and handed them to Sarah. There were twelve rooms. Sarah unlocked every room. Seven out of ten rooms were empty. Three were crammed with baggage and clothes and stuff.

Sarah said, "Holy shit! This may take a while." Sarah grabbed baggage that was perfect for Brianna. Her bags were all in brown leather. Sarah emptied the bags and set them aside. With big and small saddle bags.

Sarah said, "Get four blankets off the beds that are nice and warm. Pick the four best ones." Brianna ran off to do it.

There was soap, razors, perfume, makeup and jewelry. Sarah pulled all they could use of everything. Sarah found a large black leather bag like a duffle bag. She pulled it and put towels, washcloths, soap, oils, shampoo, a makeup kit, a mirror/comb/brush set like hers in there for Brie, all jewelry and hair accessories.

There was women's clothing. She found underwear, corsets, shirts, blouses, leggings, boots. They didn't need a store.

Brie came back and said, "I folded em' on tha bed Sar."

Sarah smiled and said, "Good girl, Brie. How long have you been here with him?"

Brianna said,"Bout' four months."

Sarah said, "He must have been an evil demon. To murder so many innocent people. I hope those Centaur rape the shit out of him until he dies from it and his friends too."

Brianna giggled and said, "Yeah, me too."
