AN: Hey guys so this is the fourth installment of my NCIS and SHIELD crossover, it would be best if you read the other stories prior so you can understand what has happened and what is going on. The first story is NCIS and SHIELD United, the second story is NCIS and SHIELD Divided followed by NCIS and SHIELD Truth and Consequences that way you get to know the characters. There is also Project W017 2.0 to get a better understanding on the pack and its connection to SHIELD. I do not own any Marvel or NCIS characters. I hope you enjoy this story, tell me what you think by leaving a review otherwise thanks for reading.

CHAPTER 1

McGee could not believe how he ended up in situations like this, he was currently pinned behind a crate as men with guns slowly shot away at his protective barrier. He ignored the wood splinters as they flew past him with every hit from a bullet. He could make a run for it but that would leave agent Nick Torrez in the lurch as he reloaded his gun.

"I'm on my last mag." Nick informed him

"I've only got four bullets left." Tim retorted right now shooting back was not their best option, they were outgunned and outmatched. How did his day turn out so wrong?

It had been 5 months 14 days and 12 hours since Ellie ghosted them, she had joined Abbey for lunch one day the next she was gone. Every time one of the team contacted her it went straight to voicemail. Gibbs had tried getting in contact with Sam but the number they had no longer was active. It hurt all of them that it ended this way, Tony and Ziva were wrapped up in their relationship and focusing on Tali not that McGee could blame them he knew what it was like to be a parent, he himself had changed after the twins were born. One month after the alien attack in Hawaii Nick Torrez joined the team and at first he did not seem like a team player but Gibbs seemed to trust him. They had worked on several cases now and the team had carried on, this case was meant to be over but Torrez had a theory that led them to this warehouse and they are now currently taking shelter from gunfire.

"Maybe this was not the best idea." Torrez stated as McGee held his phone to his ear he was calling for back up. More gunfire was heard followed by some shouts then all went quiet. "What is happening?" Torrez asked looking as if he was going to poke his head out in the open to see what was happening. McGee made the gesture for him not to do that, this could be their plan. He on the other hand being bullet proof had no issue doing such a move. He looked around the nearly destroyed crates his gun at the ready but no one tried to shoot at him. The places he knew men to be was way too quiet. Looking closer he took a step out of his cover. "Tim?" Nick hissed but McGee ignored him Tim saw a body. He moved in Nick cursed quietly but followed him his eyes scanning for any movement. They made it to the first body, a head shot both agents knew they had made that shot. Nick looked around for any sign of the shooter but what they came across was more dead bodies all with head shots. "Who did this?" Nick asked

"I don't know, but they must be friendly."

"How do you know?"

"Because we are still alive. If the shooter was out to get us I think we would be dead." McGee stated or at least Nick would be dead Tim still had not shared the fact that he was bullet proof. 5 minutes later Gibbs turned up. They started documenting the crime scene as Nick was taking photos Gibbs and McGee were in the office area looking through the paperwork. They found the paperwork documenting their entire operation it looked like someone had tried to start destroying documents but he had been shot before he got too much done. As Gibbs looked around the room he was trying to figure out if anything had been taken, it did not help that the room was a mess. Weapons were sprawled across the room in crates on the table and floor amongst so much paper he did not know if it was all important or goose work. He did not feel like chasing fake leads.

"So you didn't see anything?" Gibbs asked him

"We came here on a hunch, we thought this place was abandoned when we entered that was when we heard voices. By then it was too late, the fighting started we took cover but neither of us had the angles to get them. I was down to four bullets and Nick was on his last mag that was when the shouting started and more gunfire could be heard. I didn't hear any other weapons other then the ones they were firing at us. I didn't see any other muzzle flashes.

"A silencer?"

"Possibly what about a sniper?"

"No direct line of sight, they would have been shooting through the walls and well there are no bullet holes." Gibbs replied he had the same thought when he saw the bodies but from the angles he looked up at the roof, there was a gangway running along the center of the roof.

"Up there." He stated pointing up he started moving towards the ladder that made it up and when he got up he had to take care of where he stood, the metal looked rusted one wrong move and he won't be standing up there any longer. He looked for any sign that someone had been there. As he moved the metal below his feet groaned.

"Boss?" McGee asked he had climbed the ladder but wisely stayed on it Gibbs did not think it would take both of their weight.

"Stay there." Gibbs stated as he continued on the grinding noise became louder Gibbs stopped moving.

"I think you should come back." McGee stated a little worry creeping into his voice.

"Yeah." Gibbs stated the noise was distinct he wondered if anyone had been up there, they were a little way off from McGee and Torrez's hiding spot but the noise was specific enough he knew that McGee and Torrez would have heard it. "Maybe its not…" he stopped the hand rail a little way up was broken, but what grabbed his attention was that it was recently done. He was right the shooter had been there. He looked up at the roof the beam above him he reached up for it was wide enough he could get a firm hand hold. He pulled himself up, sure enough there were finger imprints. He was about to lower himself when something else caught his eye it was a number there was an 084 scribbled in the dust. SHIELD. It was SHEILD that had saved his team yet again, he just knew that it was Sam. He lowered himself down.

"Did you find anything?" McGee asked

"No." Gibbs lied he had moved his hands so that they covered the numbers, he knew that it was a message to him, to back off the case. As he made his way down the ladder he was determined now, like hell he was going to back down.

3 weeks later Gibbs was sitting in his car drinking his coffee drinking his coffee looking down the road at the suspects house. They were waiting for him to return Petti Officer Noah Derilg, they had linked him to one of the papers they had found in the office at the warehouse. He was one of three Navy personal to sell the weapons to the dead men from the warehouse. It had taken them this long to go through the paperwork and figure out if the intel was accurate or not they had been on one wild goose chase but thanks to Abbey they were able to actually identify Noah as a suspect. They were going to grab him from his apartment instead of at base in case the others got spooked. Nick and Tim were in the car down the street he could hear them talking over coms. He had spoken to Vance about SHIELD's involvement and if he was being honest he could tell that the director was keeping something back. Gibbs was yet to confront him on the matter. He took another sip of his drink when his door opened and Sam climbed in the passenger seat. Gibbs looked at her, he was not sure on his thoughts about her especially seeing what she could do in Hawaii.

"I need you and your team to fall back." Sam stated

"Not going to happen, we have…"

"I know all about your case." Sam interrupted

"If you take Noah you will blow our case." Sam told him.

"Your case? The O84?" Gibbs asked he remembered the last O84 he had worked on with SHIELD. "He has been selling…"

"I know your case." Sam repeated

"Boss we've got a problem." McGee stated gaining his attention as Gibbs looked down the road he saw Noah coming up the street but what had Gibbs tensing was the fact that Ellie was walking beside him hand in hand. Gibbs turned a glare on Sam but she had already got out of the car and the door was closing on his face. "What do you want us to do?" McGee asked not believing it, how could Ellie be doing this, he knew it had to be a cover but she looked so relaxed. McGee clenched the steering wheel tighter no wonder she ghosted them, how long had they known about Noah and his friends, what was SHIELD's endgame?

"What's the problem?" Nick asked

"That's Bishop." McGee told him

"Undercover?" Nick asked although he had no idea who she was working for just that she had left NCIS rather suddenly and ghosted her former team.

"Abort." Gibbs told them "Meet back at base." He ended up driving off he was going to talk to Vance it was time to get his answers.
