Lincoln wore a glum expression as he lied down on his bed. Guilt rained on him as he thought of the past events that had just taken place. Ronnie-Anne had just been telling him about her new friend, and instead of congratulating her, what did he do? He yelled at her. All because of the jealous demon inside him. At least his sisters weren't home. That is, until he heard the front door open. 'Just great.' he thought.
"So why are you sad?" The sudden voice caused Lincoln to jump 50 feet in the air.
"Lucy! I've told you not to do that!" Lincoln shouted.
"Sorry, old habits die hard." the goth said, grinning, "anyway, answer my question. Why are you sad?"
"I'm not, just tired from school." Lincoln said, lying through his teeth.
Suddenly, the rest of the Loud sisters crashed through the door in a big heap.
"Oh, hiiii Lincoln." Leni said in a suspicious manner, "we didn't know you'd be in here."
"But it's my room. Wait, were you eavesdrop- "
"That's not the point!" Lori quickly interrupted, "Now spill the beans!"
"What beans?!" Lincoln questioned, pretending to know anything.
"You know what we mean dude, tell us everything." Luna demanded.
"I already told Lucy, I'm just tired from school." The boy answered, lying through his teeth.
"So, you didn't see Ronnie-Anne's new post?" Lynn asked.
"I did."
"And my camera didn't record your call with Ronnie-Anne, where she kept talking about her new friend, and you got jealous and yelled at her?"
"Wait, what camera?!" Lincoln questioned in a worried manner, thinking back to all the 'things' he'd done in his room.
"Camera, what camera, I never said camera." the scientist stammered.
"So how did y-"
"Lucky guess." Lisa's smile spread from cheek to cheek.
"Alright, fine it's true, I did get jealous when she talked about… him" he struggled to even say his name.
Lori's eyes lit up, "So you do have a crush on her?"
"Well, I- um, I don- well you know… I just-"
"Dude!"
"Alright, I do!" he finally answered, his face filled with embarrassment from his 3-year secret, that only Clyde knew about.
The minute he dropped the bomb, the inevitable happened. He heard 10 different squeals, all coming from his sisters.
"I knew it!"
"Told you it was Ronnie Anne, not Stella."
"Omg, I should start planning the wedding!"
"What!? No wedding planning!" Lincoln yelled.
"Lincoln's right, sorry we got distracted." Lori apologized, "but what you need to do is apologize, it's the least you can do."
"I just don't know how without revealing my feelings." he replied.
"Well, what's so wrong in that?" Luna questioned, " I let Sam know about my feelings and I got a reward in return."
"But, what if I don't get a reward? What if she rejec-"
"Don't think that! Don't ever think that! Don't ever be worried about that!" Luna quickly interrupted, but quickly cooled down, "If you don't risk it you'll never get the biscuit."
Lincoln nodded and forced a small smile.
That night, Lincoln could barely sleep. He couldn't think of how he would apologize, without spilling anything. Ronnie-Anne is smart and would've realized that he was jealous. Maybe he should risk it? Like how Luna said? But she seems so fond of her friend. What if she doesn't reciprocate his feelings? Many more thoughts started to cloud his mind, but they started to tire him. His eyes finally gave in, and he drifted off to sleep.
"Lincoln! Someone's here to see you!" Lori called, in a sing-song voice. Lincoln jolted awake and quickly checked his phone for the time.
'1:30 pm!' he thought to himself. He sprinted down the stairs in his PJs. He raced to the door, only to see a familiar Hispanic girl.
"Ronnie-Anne?"
"Hi Lame-o."
